Claire answers Margot's call to help her and Matthew train, but only to observe their spars.

DUNGEON: LETHAL VOLCANO, w/ Sebastian, Zachary, Yana, Haruhi, ongoing

Following the trail of unusual volcanic activity, Claire sets out with total strangers into a pit of heat. She is immediately unimpressed with Sebastian for his blatant reluctance to assist in battle, and remains neutral about the others...

ACT III: VENI, VIDI, VICI (Reikiko vs Walter the Lopmon), w/ Rei, fin

Walter enters the tournament without Claire, and is immediately faced with formidable foes- a BlackGreymon named Kuro and his young tamer. The battle was brief but intense, ending with Walter being bound, then slain by impalement through the head. He is forced into a Digiegg state and returned to Claire with a note attached.

After meeting with Crow, Claire makes her way to the participants' quarters to find Rei. After giving the girl a gift for future battles, the two discuss the Ringbound and Rei's own secrets.

CLAIRE LYON - STORY SYNOPSIS

JUNE 2041

I'M STILL HERE, Digimental Hunt, fin

Claire and Walter set out to the Dark Area, tracking a Digimental. Because Claire has some doubts about their friendship, Walter attempts to assure her that he's still the same Digimon. The Digimental of Friendship is found with to a dying Airdramon, which Claire finishes off. The two hurry away before they find what caused the dragon's injuries.

SETTING THEM UP, w/ Astoria, fin

After tricking a tamer into walking into Flarizamon territory, Claire and Walter meet up with Astoria, who helped the new tamer get away. Claire finds Astoria both fascinating and enticing, and escorts her out of the area after some very mildly invasive "tests".

TRICERAMON MINIBOSS, w/ Various, fin

Amongst many other tamers and Digimon, Claire and Walter sucessfully help fight off a rampaging Triceramon and his Blackagumon minions. Walter Digivolves to Lekismon.

IN ANTICIPATION OF THE INGENUOUS, w/ Georgii, dead

Claire invites a young boy to assist her with a mission in exchange for her guidance in the Dark Area.

SHEPHERD OF FIRE, w/ Various, fin

Ginkakumon leads a terrorist strike against the city. Intrigued and excited, Claire decides to assist the citizens and is badly injured by a Devimon in the process- though not before chopping off the demon's arm. She and Walter lay low until the end of the battle, when Ginkakumon is revealed to be a spirit user, and one of the seven.

MERROWS, w/ Various, fin

Slightly irritated at both being injured and Walter's pestering, Claire goes for a walk on the beach. There the two and another pair find a washed up tamer- they decide to investigate and meet Matthew McDermott.

SILENCE IN THE SNOW, w/ Katsuro, inactive

Just to spite Walter, Claire goes for a somewhat grueling mountain walk, and finds a Shadramon that calls himself Osuzumebachi. To Walter's dismay, she immediately challenges and antagonizes him, leading to a brief fight in which her sword is stolen. Walter forfeits to protect Claire, leading to the woman having some unsettling realizations about her friend...

NO TIME FOR A MISTAKE, Digimental Hunt, fin

Worrying about Claire's disappointment in him and worried she'll continue to endanger herself, Walter heads to the dark area alone to gain more power by the means of Dark Core Modifications. Afterward, he finds the Digimental of Devotion and heads home to show Claire, hoping for a pleased response.

SKULLGREYMON MINIBOSS, w/ Various, fin

Eager to prove his worth and ease some of Claire's anger, Walter demonstrates his new power as Magnadramon, fighting against a rampaging Skullgreymon with other Digimon. He manages to save the life of a tamer named Damion and is singed in the process, but continues to fight. Claire, though displeased about it, stays far back, watching.

DARKNESS RISING, w/ Ringbound, ongoing

The first Ringbound meeting had an excellent attendance turnout, but just as it was about to begin, the mark attracted phantoms that immediately attacked. Thankfully, Plutomon was there to drive them off...

NOT A TREMOR, w/ Leyton, inactive

Days have passed since the meeting. Taking a day of respite, Claire enjoys a pastry and encounters Leyton, who promptly begins to flirt with the Ringbound leader...

INTERMISSION: ABANDONMENT, solo, fin

Claire spends a hot afternoon in London going over her texts... and not answering them.

Matthew McDermott / RB. "Though my first impression of him was poor, Matthew appears to be improving by the day. I'm not one to truly act as much of a guide or guardian, but I don't at all mind having him around- he seems savvy enough to stand on his own two feet... and make proper allies."

Andrea Belmont / RB. "I haven't had the chance to know her personally, I'm afraid. From what I can tell, despite her inexperience and youth, she seems lively and self-sufficient- excellent Ringbound qualities, I'd say. Perhaps it would be rude to ask, but I find myself curious about the eyepatch. Ah, well- all in good time."

Leyton Thomson / RB. "An utter moron. Not worth my time really, but might prove to be a source of mild amusement for a few minutes if I ever get bored. If not, the weak tend to weed themselves eventually. I probably won't have to lift a finger."

Angeli / RB. "Interesting that a solo Digimon- and data-type, no less- would be interested in the Ringbound. I have to wonder what she's thinking, but if she truly has the drive to further herself, I don't have any issue with her."

Kiyoshi Nakahara. "Outspoken and confident. Atypical for someone his age, but his actual prowess is yet to be seen, I'm afraid."

Astoria Zenker / RB. "A young woman I met by chance- blessed with beautiful looks, but her behavior was... somewhat curious. Though she appears to be an outwardly coy creature, I wonder if there might be more to her than meets the eye. I hope she proves my suspicions correct."

Sebastian Devaroux. "A man that appears friendly, but in reality he and his partner are either lazy or cowardly. So far an unreliable companion into the volcano."

Haruhi Ryuukami. "Seems like a sensible enough girl. She's been fairly quiet and self-sufficient throughout the trip, so I can't fault that, I suppose."

Yana Sekigawa. "No real opinion yet. Her partner seems advanced enough in her line that she must have at least a small amount of competence as a tamer, but like the others has failed to pique my interest."

Zachary Scryer. "Reckless and overly chatty, a complete greenhorn. Pathermon seems capable enough, but he'll be playing babysitter for a while, I think."
