Making up a good majority of the west, this ever-shifting desert becomes only more hostile the further in one ventures. In the far distance there rise great plateaus, and a smoking mountain amongst them.

Visible from any point in the Matrix Sandsea, the Overdell Plateaus signify the westernmost explored point in the Digital World. Much like a variant of the Sigma Mountains, the Overdell Plateaus are a natural formation of high and unforgiving flatlands, home to many thick-skinned avian and reptilian Digimon.

Beyond the Plateaus lie this single, smoking, tower of a peak, a great mountain and a constantly-active volcano. Whilst the majority of civilization in the Digital World is out of harm's way should it ever -- as it regularly does -- erupt, its provocative nature and notorious place on the digital skyline has secured a namesake of one of the more boisterous of tyrants in recent digital history.

Nestled in the Sandsea and ringed by great watchtowers, this nomadic city of travelling merchant Digimon and strange customs moves once every few years, and is ruled by Apollomon.
