North of the Steppe and just South of the Mountains and Glacier lies a thin belt of land too warm to be permanently covered in ice, but too cold for trees to grow. Low growing plants and marshes adorn the soil during the warm seasons, a mere two feet of soil covering the permafrost. The hardy Digimon who make their home in this harsh land should not be carelessly trifled with. |

This high-altitude mountain range that crests the northern ridge of the known Digital World begins as just mitigating hills and slopes in the alpine steppes, but soon join together to form an impressive, looming series of snowy peaks. The Sigma Mountains are some of the Digital World's most visually striking natural formations, and home to many dangerous native Digimon. |

Beyond the Sigma Mountains, what was once a river now runs as a slow-moving formation of flowing ice, serving as a twisting path into the unmapped beyond; supposedly only shifting at night, the Lunar Glacier has been hailed by some as the source of Borealis City's energy and Dianamon's power. |

Few have ever advanced beyond Borealis City and the wall-like Glacier that backs it to reach the lands known only as Everwinter; they are a frigid, unforgiving, landscape of icefields on the other side of a mountain range which top waters which are, though freezing to the touch, somehow still liquid. There is peace to be found, here, however, as the sun sets on the horizon, and some say it is where the ghosts of Digisouls past come to rest for the final time. |
