PROGRESSING
Progression on Digimon : Exodus is largely based on a experience-based Data system. In order to progress your character, you must post and participate in various events across the site to earn Data, a resource your accounts will automatically earn as you do so. Almost everything on the site requires Data to access, this includes new Digivolution forms, new abilities, and even items, so make sure you budget your Data and spend it wisely!
Not only does Digivolution give a Digimon access to a cool new look and some new abilities, but it also increases their general power level. This isn't to be taken too seriously, but one should make note that a Rookie level Digimon cannot compare to a Champion level Digimon. When considering this, it is best to look back at Adventure and remember the "Rule of Seven" - an unstated rule in Digimon that essentially means that it takes at least seven of the prior Digivolution level to properly match the next level. For example, it would take seven Rookie Digimon to be able to take on a single Champion Digimon on equal footing. If you want more in-depth information about Digivolution as a concept, please check out this Wiki page.
An important bit of information to take in is that Digimon learn a different amount of Skills based on their current level, all which must be written before use and approved by staff in your initial character profile. When adding a new form, one must create a Profile Edits thread for that form to be approved and then added to the main profile.
• Rookie: 2 Passive Skills and 2 Active Skills.
• Champion/H-Hybrid: 3 Passive Skills and 4 Active Skills.
• Ultimate/B-Hybrid: 3 Passive Skills and 5 Active Skills.
• Mega/Fusion: 4 Passive Skills and 6 Active Skills.
• Ultra/Biomerge/Unified: 4 Passive Skills and 7 Active Skills.
In addition to using Data to obtain more power, there is also a semi-hidden progression system known as the Prestige System that is advanced through by posting frequently. After reaching the impressive milestone of 250 posts, one will begin to enter into Prestige, starting with the rank "x2." What this essentially means is that your Digimon is twice as strong as a Standard Digimon when taking Digivolution level into account. So, for example, at x2, your Rookie level would be twice as strong as a normal Rookie, your Champion twice as strong as a normal Champion, and so on.
Prestige further increases upon reaching 500 posts, where one will become thrice as powerful as normal, then furthermore at 1000 posts, where one will become four times as powerful as normal.
