CHAPTER I, ACT I: SKULLGREYMON [OPEN MINIBOSS!]

Her attacks had worked!

The giant skeletal Digimon had appeared to be flinching back in pain from her strikes, but even with the attacks thrown in by the others, it still hadn't been enough to take it down.

And she was happy about that. What kind of rampaging undead dinosaur would it be, if it had been defeated upon her arrival?

Then, something interesting had happened.

A bunch of other Digimon had appeared and surrounded them, clearly in alliance with the giant Digimon.

Her ears perked up at the new sounds the arrivals had made, although her eyes were still focused on the skeleton.

 It was attempting to crush her with it's giant claw!

This was getting exciting. She hadn't even come up with a backstory for the skeleton yet, and now there were these other Digimon joining the fray as well.

She did her best to leap back and away from the massive claw, the extent of how high and far she could jump greater than Salamon's, but was still limited in reach.

If it hadn't been for jungle boy's twin Digimon, she wouldn't have been able to tuck and roll away from it's full onslaught.

"Meow, this is awful!"

She pulled herself up from the ground, looking up at the dinosaur, who she had gotten a few feet away from with her roll.

Because the jungle boy practically saved her life, Mikemon had now owed him a favor. It was part of the thief's code.

Or at least, that's what she had just came up with and decided. They were getting away though, and the newer group of Digimon were practically acting as it's guards.

If she wanted to join the boy and get rid of this favor, she would have to go and take out the ones he was dealing with now.

So she had gone towards the closest knight looking Digimon, and attempted to surprise it by launching a kick.

Acting more as a hole in a wall however, the cat had continued onwards, leaping around and back towards the skeletal Digimon.

Somehow, she had gotten close enough to hear him mention this giant being part of the seven, like what happened back in Terabyte city.

They really needed to do a better job keeping that information more classified.

"Rowr! Give me a boost will you?"

Salamon was the only form she had with long range attacks, but the dog was nowhere strong enough.

[FERGHUS]

He knew this area all too well. In fact, Vale Highlands was generally one of the less bothersome areas to travel, or at least that was in Ferghus's experience. Today was a different matter altogether. Digimon around him were flipping out on top of roars and the sounds of combat not too far away, "Ain't normal fer this place ter have a war zone goin' on. Shit. If'n Ah'm thinkin' right, it's gotta involve that one bastard in Terabyte..." The Leomon took off at a mad dash, careful not to accidentally swallow the cigarette dangling in his mouth. Heck, right now the lion wasn't as concerned with how short his smoke break was after sitting down to enjoy some semblance of a meal. Something poked at the old man that he was about to become rather pissed off.

In the distance was a skeletal figure. A big, mean, skeletal figure. SkullGreymon. Ferghus slid to a halt as his eye narrowed and a growl escaped his throat. Once again he witnessed a brawl between some maniacal digimon and the human tamers who dropped into this world. Just more evidence to the idea that something bigger was amassing in the Digital World, although the terrorist in Terabyte was more than enough evidence to assume the worst. "Why yew...,", his stance readied as the old man figured out the best way to go about the situation. SkullGreymon had already summoned minions of his own, but if they were anything like the last in the terrorist strike, he was certain they would be taken down without issue.

Now the only problem left was the big boss himself. The Leomon knew he was only a Champion level monster, but that wasn't going to stop him. His body had an uncanny knack for being more sturdy and physically stronger than the standard digimon of his level. He could take a few hits. He winced as the aura from the skeletal dinosaur was felt as he rushed in closer, "Damn thang's got a cheap trick! Ain't gon stop me from dealin' with his sorry ass!" Ferghus got himself into a better position, aiming his attack at SkullGreymon as he charged up energy in both, clenched fists. Coming out of nowhere may very well be the turning point this battle needed. With a mighty roar, he unleashed a fury of punches, "HUNDRED BEAST FIST!" Multiple shots of energy shaped as lion heads surged forward towards the skeleton dinosaur, and although weren't individually too powerful, a collection of them would do some damage.

"Yer ass ain't gon be pullin' this shit much longer, boy,", Ferghus snarled at the Ultimate undead.

[Blight]

Well, he was late again. As usual. He'd never once made it on time for any crucial plot point. Maybe that's why no one thought to replace his dead partner? Blight could practically feel the tinfoil wrapping around his head. Y'know, it probably wasn't the worst case of destiny, albeit still mildly disappointing. Arriving just in time to witness the skeletal abomination, he wondered what had spurned the recent invasions in the first place.

Just who was behind all of this?

It was a legit question, to be sure. First, Triceramon. Then, Ginkakumon showed up with an army. Now, there was a SkullGreymon rampaging his stupid brainless ass into Triton. The Digital World (and the real one) had grown terribly unstable as of late. It was normal, in a sense, that Virus Digimon had a penchant for destruction. Many took on the form of demons, or the undead, like this guy. it felt a bit like something biblical was on its way, as if the very fabric of reality was being molded to suit someone's purpose. Or maybe Blight was reading too far into it. Despite his playful (and sometimes idiotic) demeanour, he was actually a smart guy. He felt like that dark, calculating part inside of him had also reached a similar conclusion. There was no way that any of this was just a coincidence; it was just way too coordinated. Then again, bad guys didn't often move together. These were likely cells or factions, waging war against the world at large to assert their power. Still, he felt like said factions were pieces that belonged to a bigger puzzle - one that he didn't have the means to solve. Not yet.

And so with his fashionable arrival - and his machinating - he would jump into the fray again. Maybe this time he'd see a bit more action. A seasoned veteran like himself missed the good ol' swashbuckling days. Of course, he'd never been one to don something ostentatious like a cutlass and give them the ol' one-two. Nah, he preferred to stab his enemies in the back and wrench the knife deep. It was time to dissect this skeletal menace and absorb his data.

Without regard for the other participants, Blight took the back route. In so doing, he was able to quietly digivolve into his Champion form, donning Venomon's quick legs for a stealthier pursuit. SkullGreymon was massive, and massive meant that he would have a multitude of blindspots. It took him a bit of time to reach his destination, but he soon found himself within 20 feet of his target. The most logical approach in his mind was to knock this guy over. SkullGreymon certainly appeared front heavy, like a t-rex, but Venomon would have to be extra careful at close range. One sweep of his foe's claws and he could find himself in a position to get crushed. He would have to use his small stature as efficiently as possible. More importantly, he would have to gauge the effectiveness of his poison against a monster such as this. SkullGreymon was probably immune to most of his repertoire, so he would have to exercise more caution than he was used to. His corrosive flames were likely his best bet.

"Virulent Flame" he shouted at last, breaking the silence. He leaped forward and spit a massive swell of fire at the rear of SkullGreymon's feet. He was targeting the heel, hoping to send his foe straight to the ground. If SkullGreymon had any tendons left, this would hurt like an absolute bitch, and it would allow Venomon to move in for the final cut. If not, well...he had other ideas. Sort of.

SKULLGREYMON IS BREAKING APART!

"Come on, you can't tell me the old man gave me such a pathetic summoning spell!"

A voice rang through the heads of the Skullgreymon and all of the Skullknightmon - a voice that made even them gain fear, and through that fear - confidence. They might not win this battle, not against such powerful enemies, but they would fight on, until the very end.

@all The Skullknightmon seem to have gone into a berserked state. They will now fight to their full strength - all being of Champion level - but will be less careful with their attacks, allowing them to be destroyed at this point.

Renae and Remy's combination attack successfully deals a large amount of damage to the duo of Skullknightmon - Remy's attack severing the head of one. However, even without a head, the pair continue to engage Adam and Renae. Adam Jackson

Skullgreymon fires forth a pair of inaccurate GROUND ZERO missiles at Walter, angered by him constantly being out of his reach, and constantly being unable to hit them. The rockets, if they missed the target, would go straight for the city. CLAIRE LYON

Cyberdramon successfully shreds through the two Skullknightmon who decided to take him on, simple Digimon of their level being no true match for an ultimate. However, Cyberdramon would find himself met with a surprise when attacking the Head Skullknightmon, who would quickly turn around to parry the dragon's attack with his lance, then jumping back to avoid the grapple. "Fool. You are powerful, but unskilled." The Head Skullknightmon would now duel the Cyberdramon, ignoring the Gatomon and Weregarurumon in favor of the stronger opponent. "Show me your strength, and show me it alone, if you have any honor." His lance readied, he would allow his opponent the first strike. Damion DeAndre

Veemon and Guilmon's attacks make contact with the two Skullknightmon, visibly damaging them before entering their berserk state. They now attack recklessly, and can likely be destroyed with a smart combination attack. Ryuu Oda

V's Gungnir effortlessly pierces through the Skullknightmon whom still had his head engaging Adam, sparing the Tamer from having to deal with one of them. This also allows Reikiko Tsukino to make it over to Adam without being attacked or injured. Everybody is happy! However, Blackagumon's attack angers Skullgreymon and causes him to fire a DARK SHOT towards their general direction. Adam Jackson

An additional Skullknightmon rises from the ground in front of Haruhi Ryuukami . The menacing zombie is instantly sent into the berserk state! However, just as it was about to stab the bat-wielding Tamer, he is distracted by a rock and redirected his attention! matthew mcdermott

Toucanmon's Digivolution shocks the Skullknightmon and allows him to do critical damage to it, sending it back to kneel on one knee. Finishing this one off would likely be easy business for the bird. matthew mcdermott

Panthermon seems to be having more luck with the two Skullknightmon, but he is still outnumbered and outleveled. The fight continues as the knights enter a berserk state! Zachary Scryer

Ari's powerful stomp would devastate the weak-point of the Skullgreymon's spine, causing it to finally snap in half. This would force all those on his back to relocate their battle to the ground, and cause the great undead Digimon to collapse in a large cloud of dust.

It was over.

Or was it?

@all A dark energy formed around the scattered bones, bringing them back together and casting them to form the Skullgreymon once more. It now seemed to be solely held together by this magic, and was getting very, very, tired. The Digimon now only wished to accomplish its mission of reaching the wall - now ignoring all enemies despite their attacks in an effort to reach the wall.

The attacks of @fergus, Rukia Date, and Blight seemed to be doing critical damage to the monster, breaking apart his bones and cracking them, showing that he was much weaker than before - but they did not stop him. He was now very close to the wall, if only about 80 meters away.

It would seem the damaging effects of the attacks caused by the newly enhanced digivoloution of Toucanmon was succesful, the skullnightmons had succumbed to the effects of the duel strikes. "Now begone," Toucanmon screeched as she charged forward, allowing her body to lift in to the air, twisting in a rather quick motion becoming nothing but a spiralling blur of colour, reminiscant to that of a twister, yet the sharp solid spear like tip would shine with the different colours. It took no time to effortlessly drill through the body of one of the knight like creatures whom had stood before her. Allowing the other time to recover a bit from her attack. Yet she would not bother about it yet. After tearing through one of the knights she was able to witness the stone throw. She could see the newest knights aura burst, the berserk status causing alarm for it now chose a new target.

Sebastian Devaroux was its target, having released the rock to distract the creatures, though it would seem only the newest one arose, yet the berserk creatures halted their movement somewhat upon the eruption of the newest one, hopefully granting the tamers digimon enough time to reach it. On the other hand, Sebastian had little to no option but to run, thankfully he would charge in the direction his digimon was coming from. Determination within the colurful creatures little eyes. The skullknight was fast yet the two made it to each other in the nick of time, for when the knight struck out with its lance, the newly armoured bird jumped to intercept. It took the lance head on so to speak, though really the lance struck the armour like shell the toucan sported. A squak of pain from the initial pain was released but she had averted her tamer from being stabbed in the heart, a sure death. The digichrome armour was incredibly durable and added great defensive power allowing the strike to be severely weakened. [11% Damage]

Yet the strike as stated was minor the toucan like creature would begin to move around the knightmon whom was striking wildly, the strength behind the blows seemed to leave an after effect, darkness radiated form the berserk like creatures yet the accuracy, control, everything about the attack was off allowing the creature to utilize its sharp beak to attack the knight with simplistic basic attacks while literally running circles around it. Weaving in and out and simply striking with the beak as often as possible to wound. Basic attacks being all the creature could do at this point yet Sebastian would remain close, shouting out the odd curse word and making rude gesters to the berserk creature. The two were inexperienced. They werent experienced in their move set yet, not being able to gauge power properly in this form. It was something they would have to work on, yet for now they could assault with normal power, they could distract the enemy so those with real power could focus upon the monsterous creature that headed towards the city.

This was happening way too fast. How long had it been since this beast arrived? Half an hour? At the very least, surely. There was still much to look at, and too little to actually do. Matthew's hands were trembling, his memories going back to Coela Coast and to those two women. He announced he was dreaming; he said he those two were manifestations of people he probably once met somewhere in the Real World. All the shouting. All the kicking and screaming of everyone around him... It was real, there was no doubt about it. It was real, and these people were stupidly risking their lives for the sake of a town made of data. They were made of data. Stuff like that could easily be replaced and recovered, but there was also blood. To prove he was dreaming- to prove to those women, Matthew cut his own right hand. From his ring finger to his thumb, he left a small gash that was still recovering. A little pressure would open it back up, and blood would spill, but it didn't matter. Not then, but right now. Margot's side was different. Her attack seemed to have no effect on the SkullKnightmon, yet it did nothing to retaliate. It stood there, almost lifeless. The other members of its group were being careless; getting distracted and striking without apparent aim. They were fighting in a possible drunken state, but it was hard to tell. Margot stepped back further to take a deep breath and launch a bullet of water at the enemy SkullKnightmon's head. Her thoughts were obvious: if they were striking with more power, then they had discarded their defenses for such a thing. A couple of focused attacks would be the end of them, and soon, the end of that Fossil. Her tamer's thoughts were in a further state of disbelief. He was well aware that these creatures were capable of speaking and acting like humans, despite not being such a thing. He also knew they held emotions and memories, and could even be reborn as an egg when death greeted them. What he didn't know about until now, however, was that unexpected trade-off. Were they getting desperate, or were they simply trying to fight on equal terms? Would Margot even stand a chance? Matthew didn't want to move, but he urged to act. His heart hurt more than that stupid cut, but was there anything he could do? "She said that device was important in battle... That thing I thought was a cellphone." whilst his hand reached for his pocket, his eyes turned in the direction of the Fossil. The beast had crumbled, but a devious air filled the zone around it. The bones began to levitate and the beast was reborn again, a capite ad calcem. From head to heel, it took shape again and began to walk once more. A lion man, a cat, and some humanoid in a sleek hazmat suit had left marks before it re-assembled. There was a relief, but it didn't feel all that great. The battlefield below was in chaos. Both Claire and Walter could see multiple battles going on between protectors and invaders from their separate positions, and of course, Skullgreymon at the center of it all. As angry as it was, though, the beast was tiring- it's new shots at him were fairly easy to dodge, and with a sharp roll to the side in midair, the two missiles went zooming past him- straight for the town, realized with horror.

But there was nothing he could do. His holy flames wouldn't be able to keep up with the missiles- they would already be far out of range by the time he called out. All the Magnadramon could hope for was that his storm would do it's job to hit flying targets... but there was no guarantee of that.

Guilitly tearing his eyes away from the likely explosion that would ensue, Walter saw Skullgreymon collapse on the ground, scattering dust, tamers, and Digimon into the air... then began to reform the monster. Something was wrong- it should have been destroyed, but instead the demon began to charge for the wall, clearly fatigued. Perhaps just a few more moves would finish it off, and he had just the attack-

A whistle.

High pitched and could barely be heard over the battle, but one that he was trained to hear.

Immediately, Walter veered away from the enemies, to the distant spot where Claire was standing, waiting for him. Thankfully she was uninjured, but the woman's expression was disappointingly neutral. "I'd like a better seat is all, Walter."

And by that, she meant him. The woman climbed up onto her partner's back- thankfully avoiding his singed skin- and the two took off into the air. It was Walter's duty now to keep her safe from harm- particularly firey missiles. In his mind, that meant hanging back this round at the expense not being able to get too close to his foe and continuing his storm. He was still hopeful that the electricity would do it's work- possibly, even on the Skullgreymon.

Claire clutched onto his mane, her expression calm. Looking down upon the disorderly scene, she murmured, "Peculiar, isn't it Walter?"

Walter furrowed his brow, disconcerted.

Maybe it was her fault for having too much fun with this, but it took awhile to notice just how close they were to Triton City. Though could you really blame her?

Between the skeletal Digimon being put magically together again, and everyone else dealing with it's lackey, who around here was actually focused on their surroundings?

Yeah, she was a DATS member and all, and would be responsible, but she couldn't recall hearing any screams of help. It wasn't a good excuse, but it wouldn't matter.

This thing just needed to go down fast. Now seeing how much distance it had left, she started to hiss loudly.

She was still on the ground, having hoped she would have gotten a boost up from jungle boy's Digimon, but the giant skeleton's lackey had gotten in the way.

And the other two she was with, were doing their own thing, one of them who were seen with the terrorists.

It was fine though. Their help would have been appreciated, but she didn't need a boost up.

There wasn't really much time left anyhow.

So she had done what cats did when they were startled, and tried to scratch and punch the hell out of this Digimon.

It had worked before when she had arrived earlier.

"Go down, meow! Go down!"

As the battle raged on and the skull knightmon decided for them who would face what Cyberdramon would smirk some with a cocky grin.  Cracking his knuckles as he motioned for the others to move long, he'd boast "Go deal with the dinosaur. I won't be long, I'm just going to play kick the can some before crushing him beneath my feet and recycling his ass back to the village of beginnings. " Laughing some he'd cock his arms back extending his claws as he roared, "Now lets make this quick, puppet. Your master's got a date with me Desolation Claw" Laughing he'd charge forth slowly at first and start to strike with it's claw making basic punches and kicks, deflecting back any basic strikes with his nails or taking it and going blow for blow. His rage working to his benefit as his opponent dared question his honor working for such a terrible creature of destruction he'd roar loudly as he finally picked up his pace some before attempted to use his tail to slip up the knightmon onto it's back Knees slamming down hard upon it's thighs, using it's weight against said opponent had it been successful and popping it's arms back one by one left and right right and left, one striking the other trying to block or slap away the spears the knight held as it tore away at it with Cyber Nail. All while questioning the creature. "How dare you question my Honor, I fight for what's right by myself. Never giving myself an advantage I can't earn my own." He'd growl slamming both fits into the pits of the arms if he could to pin the opponet and talk. Anger building up worse as his wounds were visible. "Yet you and your men attack us all, alongside your master in great numbers. Some of you two on one and you dare question my honor. Let me ask you this, what honor is there in destroying this city. What honor or cause is so great you and your men would die for..." He demanded answers for an opponent as worthy as the one before him. Far more challenging then the last and one to have done an incredible amount of damage to it he'd growl. His overall opinion changing from the cockier one displayed earlier. "I had misjudged you earlier, for that I apologize. But why not help us, are you truly scared of this master, some sulking skull of bones...? You, you are better then this. I can see it in the way you act, you have honor unlike the others." Catching his breath and backing up he'd jump back and look to the skull knightmon. "I ask you reconsider your side, join me and together we can put a stop to this, stop whomever you are so afraid of. I promise you on my word as a hero, on my honor as a fighter. Together we can work together to end this. If not...then lets finish this now, no more holding back. I only pray that no matter what happens, when this is over we can end up on the same time. I will be watching out for your digitama." He'd raise his arm to his chest acknowledging his worthy opponent and wait to see just what was to come next. Had he attacked the two would clash in a furry of basic strikes and a few Cyber nails until one collapsed; hopefully the opponent. Had his words reached him he'd ask him to try to stop the other skull knightmon and meet him at Skullgreymon. His main concern. Although it would be a worthy battle either way; his main target was the beast whom was destroyed but pulled back together and heading for the city. "GET BACK HERE I TOLD YOU I GOT A BONE TO PICK WITH YOU!" He'd shout as he took off fast, ignoring everything else rushing towards skullgreymon soaring high into the sky attempting to get closer and grab it's attention. Charging down in he'd attempt to strike with a cyber nail or two at the bomb it had upon it's back perhaps causing it to explode and send him back if not slow down the beast by making it configure again if not damage it and gain it's attention. If so he'd float some from it 5 meters or so and prepare to fight once more; preparing itself to use the Desolation claw if need be. As all of this is underway Damion was safely with Adam Jackson and now Reikiko Tsukino   the trio still by the walls but could see the giant beast approaching. His digitized whip in hand he'd let them finish the skull knightmon; whipping at them if they needed the help. Otherwise waiting with them to engage the skullgreymon.

Heck yeah! Direct hit! Unfortunately, those three seconds of glee were not built to last. SkullGreymon reassembled in the wake of his enemies' impressive push, and now he was closer than ever to achieving his goal. "Maaaaan this guy is such a buzzkill!" Blight moaned, dropping his shoulders. He didn't give two shits about those SkullKnightmon beginning to close in. If any of the other dorks in this battle had half a brain, they'd abandon them too. SkullGreymon was the absolute threat; his sheer size meant that the city would fall very quickly. It was stupid to waste time picking off Champions while the real threat rampaged on. 'Stupid kids' he thought, glancing around. Why were they so easily distracted? Did they all have ADD or something?

"Yo, bucket head! Speed it up. You're the asshole with the firepower here!" Blight wailed in frustration. Was that a fucking Cyberdramon? God damn, it totally was! What the hell was that moron doing? For the strongest Digimon on their side to be piddling around with the minions...'Oh, whatever. No wonder I'm alone. I'll do the important work myself, even if that dickbag gets all the credit.' Salty much? Sometimes Blight could admit to his inferiority complex. There was a heavy emphasis on sometimes. In any case, it was time to get a move on.

Seeing SkullGreymon falter was decent proof that this battle would be over soon. Without taking prior damage, victory seemed assured for Venomon, even with a last ditch effort to take down the undead titan. He decided then that he would take such a gamble. As a group, these digidestined were close to losing, too.

'I feel like I'm infiltrating their bloody ranks now, heh.'

Venomon darted to the side and began to create his masterplan. Seeing how he'd (hopefully) gotten Cyberdramon's full attention to fucking do something, he could then take the role of the guy who, well, set the whole thing up. So how was he going to give the other Ultimate an opening? Simple: he was going to make SkullGreymon fall. Like really fall. Actually fall. Not like last time, where he...well, did some damage, but the beast kept soldiering on. No, he was legitimately, literally, adjectively (?) going to make this boss fight over. It felt sickeningly heroic, to do something right for once. Hah!

Taking a leap of faith (kind of, it was a little more agile than that), Venomon launched himself at SkullGreymon's right leg, attempting to position himself at the back of the knee. Using the claws on his left hand like a notched hook, he made a desperate bid to latch himself on to his gargantuan foe. With his right hand, he unveiled his short sword, and drove it where he knew it would hurt the most. If any of this had worked, his Life Steal technique would begin with a vicious jab. He targeted the joint specifically to weaken it for the set-up. With any luck, he'd really velcroed himself on there - and SkullGreymon's knee would give out shortly. Worse come to worse, he'd bounce: SkullGreymon would hit him with his tail or a shockwave attack. At this range, it was foreseeable that Venomon could lose up to half of his constitution. If he had prevailed, though...well...he liked to think that he prevailed.

"Go go go!" he'd shout regardless, screaming like an idiot so that the rest of the team would heed his call.

It's Finally Ove...or not

---

As Guilmon and Veemon fought valiantly it would appear they were doing just what was needed. The trio inspired based on family were really getting into it. As the male shifted his gaze to guilmon then to Veemon he'd charge in with them and knock the skull knightmon back. Now, they begin to attack recklessly as ryuu grins jumping back as the two charge into strike at the berserk digimon. It was then all at once he' raise his digivice and chuckle.

"Alright boys, time to show them who's boss. DIGI ARMOR ENERGIZE!"

He'd shout as the two began to glow changing shape and form digivolving before their attackers, perhaps blinding them or catching them off guard. Guilmon armor digivolving to Tyranomon X as he slammed it's claw into the skullknightmon; Metal Nail Slash. It would strike as if continuing it's path of motion like it was before digivolving as it then jumped up and bit into the creature shaking it furiously in it's mouth.  As small electrical discharge causing some damage on top of the armor piercing teeth trying to crush it into oblivion. Had it not been enough to destroy it maybe it was enough to stun it.

All the while Veemon's body had shifted into Flardramon X and it used Flame shot; now covered in flames it would have cut diagonally upwards utilizing its claw and blade to slice at the knightmon sending it high into the air; possibly burning it before  throwing it's fists forwards sending off two  knuckle Fire. Two small balls of fire adding to it's attack sending it further into the sky before Tyranomon threw the other at it and Flardramon jumped on it's head as it's claws came down hard slamming them. The two then sending a flurry of basic strikes into the ground until they were deleted.

It was by this point the two had felt the synergy truly flowing. Running up and joining Tyranomon upon his shoulder he'd motion towards the bigger dinosaur whom was already pulled back together.

"We need to help them out. Double time it guys, stomp any knightmon on the way."

Nodding they'd agree as Tyranomon x ran through the area his tail slapping any in the way and an occasional Metal Nail slash upper cutting unsuspecting Skullknightmon along the way aiding anyone they could. However one in particular was a tiny little otamamon and their tamer.  A heavy fist slammed down upon the knight as knuckle fire assaulted it some perhaps the fire's heat and cool water would crack the metal if not destroying it; a few more jabs with it's massive claws would go into the skull knightmon attempting to help matthew mcdermott

Nodding after it was over or they'd do enough damage to consider moving on they'd pass on by seeing a male chased by a  skullknightmon while his parter chases it. Leaping forth with great strides it too joins the chase before slamming down with both claws trying to stop the skull knightmon and allow the bird it's prey. Turnning to run off towards the giant boss two knuckle fires were shot off to aid in making sure the skull knightmon was terminated for the bird and it's tamer Sebastian Devaroux

As they now took off running full speed Ryuu would jump off and raise his hand shouting.

"UNISON ATTACK!"

The two nodding as one roared fearlessly at the larger dinosaur Stompng it's feet it entered a destructive lust like state. Charging in on the enemy with it's metal claw slashing at it's opponents leg, before biting into it with its Electric Bite and pulling back with a powerful kick.

At the same time it's brother bursts forth with a fire rocket increasing it's damage output an spirialing at the beast's spine. Upper cutting the enemy diagonally with it's blades and claws; near it's weak spot before unleashing a fire knuckle at it's back sending several smaller fire balls spiraling at it. The two brothers working in unison would give it their all. Their assault with regular hits made all over until they saw another coming in fast towards the boss's rockets. Damion DeAndre

Jumping back and off the enemy, the two would run back to Ryuu as Tyranomon covered him from any blast along effects along with flardramon. Turning back after Tyranomon x would charge back in using Metal Nail Claw. While Flardramon stuck to spamming knuckle fire. The two hoping to put a small dent in the giant creature if not hoping to hold it back some til others arrived. Flardramon still seemed to be in pain by the poison but not by much. All while Ryuu watched the fight, keeping an eye out for sneaky Skullknightmon as he talked over his device.

"Anyone else seeing this craziness. Hoped out dino drive by helped any of you out there.."

[Adam Jackson]

The battle was almost won! Adam could feel it as a majority of the heroes forces began to try and work together to either slow down or destroy the skull greymon and the remaining skull knightmon. It seemed that the dark ultimate digimon they were facing was only being held together by some kind of magic while the skullknightmon confronting Damion and himself had lost his head. As the Skullknightmon approached, Adam just jumped back a bit to stand next to damion before sticking his fingers in his mouth and letting out a loud whistling noise to get Renae's attention. The tamer then pointed to the headless digimon and the attack rushing for them. Renae huffed and nodded, aiming one arm at the skullknightmon and the other at the coming attack.

"Rapid fire!"

Renae then fired one powerful energy blast at the incoming attack and then fired the other at the Skullknightmon to hopefully destroy it. Adam's legs began to shake as he felt his energy leaving him due to his digimon weakening. If this fight went on for much longer, his digimon would run out of Juice. Adam was doing his best to stay standing but it was obviously proving difficult. Adam just panted and looked up at Damion.

"My partners are almost out of juice Damion, I can feel it."

Meanwhile on Skullgreymons back, the Skullknightmon appeared to fight Cyberdramon while ignoring him and the Gatomon. Normally he would hate to be ignored by a foe but just this once he counted it as a blessing. Remy just grinned and jumped up into the air and as he came falling back down he sent a hard devistating blow to Skull greymon's spine using his brass knuckles.

"Baldy blow!"

Hopefully the attacks would begin to unbound what ever magic was done on the skull greymon and he would go down soon because the trio didn't know how much longer they could keep this up.


Damion DeAndre

[Zachary Scryer]

The sound of a loud crack drew Zachary's attention made him look to the battle with Skullgreymon-- and he saw the other stronger tamers literally dismantle Skullgreymon. He was falling apart-- but somehow a strange power of darkness came forth and helped reassemble the undead dinosaur! Thankfully the other digimon were keeping up with it. 

"Zachary... a little focus please!" Pathermon's voice drew Zachary back to attention. Snapping his head back, he noticed now the Skullknightmon were now becoming more and more aggressive. Their expressions changed and their demeanor became erratic. The remaining forces of them began to move towards Zachary and Panthermon, angered by their attacks. Slowly, they were becoming surrounded.

"Just great. Can things get any worse...?" Zachary groaned as he saw the revived Skullgreymon, and the knights.

Panthermon growled as he glared at the remaining Knights. "Zachary, we have no choice. We have to use it," he said. Zachary blinked to his partner, unsure what he meant till the cat turned to him and growled. "Use the transformation card. Its the only thing we have to make a lasting dent in their numbers."

Zachary's expression turned to shock at the mention of it. It was one of his best cards, but one he didn't use yet-- and for good reason!. "G-goliath?! Have you lost your mind!" he shouted, "That card is a double edge sword. If you can't handle the transformation, it could overload--"

"We don't have time to argue!!" Panthermon growled, silencing Zachary and he stopped. "You are my tamer, and I trust you! I am willing to put my life on the line if it means we can defeat these fiends. I give you permission to do whatever is necessary to destroy these monsters. Now stop worrying!"

The firm tone of Panthermon's voice drove Zachary to make up his mind. After a moment, he reached into his pocket. He had the next card ready-- Goliath, a rare card capable of doubling a digimon's power and making him a giant. He closed his eyes, hating the thought of using it recklessly, but they were out of options. "Okay! I'll do it!"

The Skullknightmon now charged, closing in on Panthermon and Zachary.

With a snap of his wrist, Zachary raised the card into the air and brought up his digivice. A growl of frustration escaped Zachary as he connected the two. "DIGI-MODIFY!! " he shouted, slashing the card through the reader and the digivice screen shined brightly. "GOLIATH-- EXECUTE!!"

A sudden flood of energy poured into Panthermon, causing the large jungle cat to roar out loud. The energy of the card caused a surge of electricity along his body and he began to glow. Zachary looked in wonder, and the knights came off confused, even in their rage full haze.

Before them Panthermon grew in size, all the while growling and his eyes glowing with the power boost. In a matter of seconds, Panthermon was three times as tall, being the size of a greymon. The cat snarled at his enemies, attempting to intimidate him.

Zachary gasped, seeing his partner now towering over most of them. "Wow... that's a big kitty cat..." he said in awe, almost dropping his digivice.

"SPIRAL FLAME!!" the enlarged Panthermon roared, releasing another jet of fire upon the Skullknightmon. So enraged and charged up, they didn't even try to dodge the flames as it hit them, and the power behind it was enough to destroy some.

As another knightcame charging, Panthermon turned his head to it, a scowl upon his face. "SPIRAL FLAME!!" he roared again, attacking the other one with the same attack.

Watching him was almost frightening as he saw the dark digimon turn the skullknightmon into cat toys. As the last group of them began to come into range. Panthermon leered at them, ready to end this. "Let's make this next one a big one Zachary. I feel like I can do anything now!"

Despite Zachary's concern for Panthermon's state being so overflowed with power, he nodded and drew out one last card. With his arms crossed, he slashed the card through, adding a new attack to the large jungle cat. "Digi-modify! Leomon's Fist of the Beast King, Upload!" he shouted.

This time the ground around Panthermon glowed in a golden-fiery aura. With a mighty cry only a jungle cat could produce, the digital data of leomon coursed through his veins. His eyes glowed once more, feeling the presence of new data. "Roar... OF THE BEAST KING!!" Panthermon roared, and suddenly released a roar towards the incoming Skullknightmon. (Fist of the beast king but Panthermon is 4 legged-- can't raise a fist )

The aura erupted to reveal the charging head of a lion. The roaring apparition shot towards the enemies-- and erupted upon impact! The explosion was wide, covering a good area, and hopefully knocking out many of the Skullknightmon who charged at them.

(OOC: Used card 3/5: Goliath-- Digimon Size grows to 3 times as large, and power increases by 100% for 2 turns.
Panthermon used Spiral flame on two Skullknightmon, delivering final blows to each one.

Panthermon uses "Fist of the Beast King" To attack a wide area of Skullknightmon, and hopefully destroys the remaining troups.

Perhaps it was thanks to the outside help that Reikiko felt a bit relieved that she had been able to reach Adam with little to no complication. However, it was but a mere few moments after she had reached there, Kuro's attempt to keep one of the Skullknightmon's occupied, that the raptor saw the undead knight seemingly being annoyed by the small flames that were launched his way. Yes, perhaps it was for that reason, her own overconfidence that when she thought the knight had been defeated so easily that she and Kuro ran toward Adam, a mistake she would have come to regret. When the flames died down, the skullknightmon launched at attack of his own, the dark projectile rocketing toward her direction, and with the others seemingly occupied dealing with their own assailants, and the large monster approaching the city that there was nobody left to defend her, aside from her loyal little partner. Although Kuro stood defiant, ready to intercept the blow she feared it wouldn't be enough, perhaps even enough to end her life, and that of her partner in one fell swoop! It was amusingly at that point the Skullgreymon's presence, that dreadful aura seemingly reached her, a cold shiver of despair running across her body, and almost like a child she instinctively screamed. Her arms had been raised upwards, a futile attempt to shield herself from the incoming blast, get the black glow within her belt pouch and a sudden flash of obsidian light had declared something different when an explosion left her shrouded in smoke. It took her at least a few moments before her vision cleared enough to see the giant Dinosaur towering above her, an arm worriedly extended before her. "Kuro?" The dinosaur nodded his head briefly at her before letting out a bellowing roar, the dreadful aura likely enough to chill some of the remaining minions that were supporting the Skullgreymon, before turning toward the one that had attacked his tamer. Whatever the cost... that bastard was going to pay! Opening his jaws the Black Greymon maw became surrounded by black flames, a sudden stream of burning black flames being launched toward the skullknightmon. It was his strongest attack, the Dark Megaflame, and while he might had not been able to be much help against the larger threat, he didn't care anymore. He was royally pissed at the fact someone had threatened to harm his tamer, and he wouldn't rest until that undead knight was turned to data!

[FERGHUS]

Right then, the undead monstrosity was almost down! But that dark magic was less than pleasant to the old lion's eye. This filthy, disgusting skeleton under the control of some unknown force which did nothing more than piss Ferghus off to even greater heights! He had to end this now or else everything would be a lot worse than it was already. Especially with SkullGreymon too close for the city's comfort. No, the Leomon had no personal past with the city, but he was tired of these people running around doing what they wanted! True answers would have to wait. Actual danger needed to be sorted out and dealt with!

Roars and shouts and screams were all around. Focus needed to be on one, specific individual. Was his course of action probably going to backfire? Perhaps, but the lion was a stubborn one. He bent down, as though a runner about to dash off towards a goal line. Instead of a goat line, however, it was an Ultimate level combat machine. "SIT YER ASS DOWN BOY," came a mighty declaration a Ferghus began a mad dash closer to SkullGreymon. He had a more specific target, hopefully to garner its attention. He wanted this monster to know the man he should fear if he were to live.

But letting this one live was not on Ferghus's bucket list.

Once the Leomon arrived at his destination, his attack was shot off. Blazing energy engulfed the lion's right fist, slide in to a near halt as he would try and position himself underneath the wretched skull of the Ultimate monster. Using his mighty power, Ferghus pushed himself with a powerful leap as he brought his fiery fist to hopefully unleash a Shoryuken to SkullGreymon's face. But that wasn't all, upon impact the Leomon would let off his actual attack, "FIST OF THE BEAST KING!" The energy engulfed fist would let out the lion headed energy wave to deliver the lion's rage.

Who knew he'd be crazy enough to use a normally ranged attack in melee range?
