CHAPTER I, ACT I: SKULLGREYMON [OPEN MINIBOSS!]

A WILD SKULLGREYMON HAS EMERGED!

A small fairy like Digimon snickers to herself, underneath her a mammoth creature made of bones and skulls. The sprite's giggles fade in the wind as she flies off, patting the creature on the back. The undead dinosaur marches forward - spreading with it an aura of darkness and decay - foliage and scenery turning from vivid greens to worn out browns and blacks.

The SKULLGREYMON was on a direct course for Triton City, guards spotting it miles away from the sea-side town in the Vale Highlands. They have called together a small adventuring force of up to fifteen people to take down the monster before it reaches the city and wrecks havoc.

RULES FOR THIS MINIBOSS FOLLOW.

01. This miniboss opens upon posting and will close on Wednesday 27th April at 12:00PM GMT, or 8:00AM EST.

02. Anybody who posts in this thread at least once towards helping defeat Skullgreymon will gain a flat reward of 500 Bits and 15 Posts.

03. However, Skullgreymon will not be defeated easily, and it will take the combined efforts of either 4 Ultimates, 8 Champions, or 20 Rookies, or a mixture thereof (ratios and power to be determined as acceptable by staff) to defeat him. If this quota is not met, Skullgreymon will not be defeated, and the rewards will not be given, and Triton City will suffer damages. Skullgreymon should be attacked IMMEDIATELY in your first responding post in this thread; so no exposition please, people.

03b. Skullgreymon must also be defeated before his seventh post. On this post, he will reach Triton City, and damages will be caused to the city - causing the captain of the guard to severely reduce his reward.

04. You may post ONCE in this thread per ROUND, wherein a NEW ROUND is begun when SKULLGREYMON posts, which will foreseeably be under the account of NYMPH . Posting TWICE before a new round will mean you will suffer a 100 Bit Penalty, so make sure you READ THE RULES.

05. After the Miniboss "closes" on Tue 26th April, the first person to post afterwards will be the one who deals the killing blow to Skullgreymon. Any other posts that come after this time will be deleted and not registered -- it's first come first serve after that deadline closes; it will be announced in the cbox at 12:00 GMT or 8:00 EST that Skullgreymon can be killed.

05b. Whoever so deals the killing blow to Skullgreymon will earn a permanent "medal" in their profile inventory to discern them as the Destroyer of the Rampaging Skullgreymon. This medal is only flavour and grants you no abilities or extra post/bit bonuses, as does dealing the killing blow to Skullgreymon.

06. You may choose to work together in a team to defeat Skullgreymon, but multiple attacks from different fronts are advised -- teamwork may be difficult in greater detail due to RULE 04.

The calm zone of the Vale Highlands reached out before them, the view of the digital town beyond the horizons. Walking up one of the hills, was a tamer and his digimon, new to the Digital World. A young boy, Zachary, age 15, wore a black jacket with his hands in his pants pockets as he walked, dressed as someone from the city. He had medium length brown hair and brown eyes as he walked along the hill. He kept a calm but focused demeanor. Despite how he looked, he was nervous as this was his first time in the digital world, having been sucked in by events he had not foreseen. 

With him, was his partner digimon-- a black jungle cat digimon named Panthermon. Originally, Zachary had created him from a picture of a card he had made from the card game. However, events had happened and the data of a digimon formed to create the same digimon. Drawn to his 'creator' Panthermon was a new digimon, but he had a wisdom and experience behind him, making him unique as a rookie digimon. Still, while Panthermon's nature was a mystery, he had become Zachary's reliable and skilled digimon partner and the two had been close ever since. Panthermon was a black cat with two armored shinguards over his front paws and a digital mystic ring around his right rear leg. It showed his origin as a mythical beast digimon, that was for sure. 

"I can't believe how big this place is, Panthermon. Do you really think we can find a digital gate in the next town?" he asked as they walked. 

"Don't worry," The black cat replied , "I know you are worried to get home in time before your parents notice, but most of the major towns at least have some means of going back and forth to the real world. Though pardon me saying so, being in the digital world feels comforting oppose to New York," he said as a matter of fact. 

Zachary sighed and shrugged his shoulders. "I don't blame you. This is your native home," he said. "Still i won't be able to be your tamer if my parents kill me for 'running away' don't you think?" He said with a minor jest in his tone. Still what should of been a small trip out turned into a mess. If Zachary didn't get home, his parents would call the police to report him missing. That would make explaining things difficult. 

As they reached the top of the hill, they were greeted with a great view of the planes around them, and the town in the far distance. "See? Almost there," Panthermon said reassuringly. 

Zachary smiled and took a step forward... till a sudden and loud thump shook the ground below his feet. "WHow... huh?" Zachary gasped, almost losing his balance as the hill shook. Panthermon looked around as well, feeling the shaking. 

It was an impact tremor of some kind. "What was that?" Zachary asked with unease. 

THUMP! Another one went off, then another. Panthermon's stance changed into a crouch, his eyes now more feral as he looked for the source. 

"Zachary!" Panthermon growled, "Something is coming..." 

It was then they finally saw it, climbing over another nearby hill. You would of had to be blind to see it-- as it was a massive dinosaur like creature, made ENTIRELY OF BONES! It let out a roar as it began to move along the hills, slowly heading in the direction of the town. It was massive compared to them, roughly 10 meters tall at least. It was hard to believe an entire skeleton of a dinosaur nightmare was moving all on its own. 

"Did the Museum of Natural History get mad we crashed the digimon party or something?" Zachary asked. "Why in the hell is there a walking fossil come to life!?" 

"It's no walking fossil, Zachary. It's a digimon!" Panthermon replied angrily, and without warning he took off running for it. Panthermon didn't hesitate to try and get towards it, sensing the clear danger this digimon posed. 

His eyes went wide as Zachary saw his partner run for the enemy digimon. "W-Wait a minute!" he shouted, running after Panthermon. 

As Skullgreymon continued his path towards the city, Panthermon was fast on his heels. Being a jungle cat, the digimon was more agile by nature. It didn't take long for the cat to reach near the skeleton digimon's haunches. 

Finally reaching the nearby hill, to be close enough but out of range of Skullgreymon's march, he got out his D-Power digivice. Pushing the center button, he opened the digimon window-- and a picture of the enemy appeared. 

"Sk--Skullgreymon?!" Zachary shouted, recognizing the data. "Skeleton Ghost type. Ultimate Level! Special attacks include Ground Zero and Dark Shot." As the screen faded, Zachary looked to see Panthermon approach the giant digimon. "NO PANTHERMON! It's too strong! STOP!!" he shouted. 

Panthermon heard Zachary loud and clear. The two had a bond that allowed Panthermon to hear him clearly even from afar, sensing him. However, stopping was not an option and not in his nature. Jumping up into the air, Panthermon inhaled, a flicker of flame licking past his teeth. "SPIRAL FLAME!!" Panthermon roared, followed by a jungle cat's growl as a jet of spiraling fire shot out of his maw. 

The flames struck Skullgreymon in the leg. Whether or not it would do any kind of significant damage, it was not known. Likely not. Zachary knew that clearly. Panthermon was strong in his own right, but a rookie was NO MATCH against the awesome might of an ultimate level digimon! 

"This is not going to end well..." Zachary groaned, clutching his digivice nervously. "Panthermon! Fall back and keep out of range! You're toast if he decides to attack you!" 

However, glancing over his shoulder, Panthermon saw Zachary and growled. "And if we do nothing, that digimon will destroy the town. Do you expect us to do nothing?!" He growled in response.

The trio had felt the tremors from the shopping district of the city. They had come from their home in the Emerald Mangrove to sell off some of the rare fruits and vegetables that could only be found in that area of the digital world. Since the area was dangerous to live in, the shops paid quite well for them. The trio had just finished pocketing their gains when the shaking had begun and the cities guards began heading for the boarder which made the trio follow to see if they could help. As they got closer to the boarder and they saw what they were up against, the trio just stopped and look at one another. This wasn't some human who knew what he was doing and had the ability to show restraint. This was a mindless corrupt digimon that needed to go down. Adam Just pulled out his digivice from under his shirt and aimed it at his digimon. The digivice glowing green causing Remy to be engulfed in a green orb and begin to digivolve.

"Renamon warp digivolve to!..Ware garurmon!"

Adam grinned as the ultimate digimon was released. He then looked at Renae with a big smile. He had yet to try out their newest trick in battle and since Skull greymon was a virus type, this was the perfect time to go for it. The young tamer just held out his digivice causing it to glow with bright golden light.

"Golden armor energize!"

A golden beam of light shot out of the small device and into Renae causing her to be engulfed in a golden orb of light as she began to digivolve.

"Renamon golden armor digivolve to!..Rapidmon!"

When the orb shattered, the trio just began to rush toward the border, Adam and Remy running while Renae flew above them. As they reached the cities outer wall, Adam grabbed onto Renae's arm and she flew him up to the top of the wall and sat him down. Remy just simply jumped to the top of the wall and Adam smiled at his team.

"Go get em!"

Both digimon nodded and then rushed for their foe, Remy jumping off of the wall, rushing towards their foe. As he got in close he sent a kick through the air sending a blade of energy flying at it.

"Circle moon kick!"

Renae decided to keep her distance since her attacks were long range but as soon as she got close to skull greymon her body began to glow brightly as her golden radiance ability kicked in which would weaken the virus type foe. Once her brother was clear she moved her body into a triangle shape and then launched a large golden beam from her body.

"Tri beam!"

(passive used: golden radiance-weakens all virus type foes by 10% and powers up all vaccine types by 10% )

ARMOR DIGIVOLUTION

Walter's roar echoed from the skies as he flew in, circling the Skullgreymon from high above. New wings carried the Magnadramon swiftly and gracefully through the air, where he felt the wind rush by his face and fur in a way that even his leaping previous forms never experienced. Flight, freedom- the feeling was glorious, and were he able to spare a moment, he would have taken the time to fully relish it.

But they had a job to do.

A quick glance was sent to Claire to make sure she stayed in position. Though very reluctantly, the woman would stay all the way back this time, enough to be out of the rampaging Digimon's reach. Even she had to admit, there was no way for her to fight something that big. She standing far back this time around, eyes slightly narrowed but expression otherwise neutral, even at the sight of the terrifying Skullgreymon.

She was to watch the area in the case that, like the Triceramon, Skullgreymon would summon little minions to help him. Despite being back in the Digital World, the woman still seemed displeased with him- perhaps she wasn't as volatile as before, but the friendly, lighthearted way of speaking with him was gone.

The two made eye contact for a brief moment. He would show her today: his new strength- holy strength. That just because he was careful didn't mean he was a coward, as she had insulted him for being earlier. Large round eyes glared down at the monster- the foul being rotted natural beauty around it, and Walter couldn't wait to see the Virus-type go down. A few had already gone for the monster, and surely more forces on their side would arrive soon.

He made a deep dive for the ground, aiming for the Skullgreymon's left forearm. "Purification!" First things first- cut down on the massive swatting limbs at least for a while, make things easier until a proper number of reinforcements arrived.

○ BEAST OF JUSTICE - When fighting Virus-type Digimon, Walter's offensive and defensive abilities gain a small boost of about 10%, nullifying the effect of DARK SPELL: AURA ENCHANTMENT on himself.

○ PURIFICATION - Walter's fangs glow with holy energy, then he bites down on the foe with crushing force. While this is purely a physical move on most Digimon, on Virus-types a "vaccine" of sorts begins to flow through the foe, causing continuous poison damage to flow through them for three posts. During this time, on Virus-type Digimon the part of the body bitten will be numbed. May only be used every other turn.

"And that, my dear Matthew, is called digivolution. Those two women you met on Coela's shore were not lying. And if I hear you ask if you're dead one more time, I will gnaw on your skull whilst you slumber, young man!" He hardly flinched at her words. His face was distant, still in disbelief that such a world housed creatures of varying intelligence, form, and speech. It was surreal. Computers were common in every location, and had been crucial in humanity's development and search for many a different subject. History books were recorded and archived. Medical advancements were formulated via past findings, and footage of national or worldwide events could be reviewed long after they happened. And these creatures- that Lekismon, that Salamon and now this... "What, er, species... did you say were again?" "I am an Otamamon. As for what I was previously, they were known as Bubbmon and Mochimon. I've heard other forms of their names too, but that isn't important. What is, however, is that we are very much real." He felt her cold skin before the transformation. The smooth elastic skin turned to a soft, yet slimy exterior. Matthew had felt a frog before, and even witnessed the birth of a tadpole, but this... He was standing inside a realm known as the Digital World, and that alone meant one beautiful horror. This knowledge alone was powerful enough to keep the belief he was dead as alive as the breeze coming from some direction or another. The two were seated on a grassy hill, with a view of a city called Triton just within a small turn of the head. Margot was facing him directly, her eyes narrowed and her mind reading his expression like the first page of a book. The basics were there, as was the setting and mood. She'd be sitting hairs come sunrise. Matthew just looked down and clutched his stomach, the weight of that truck coming back to shove him; the pressure of the water rising up to devour him. Margot sighed and turned around, her eyes closed and her heads raised in silent prayer. The sky grew darker, and a heavy air pressed down onto her backside. The city would've changed that. His fishing rod said everything about Matthew's hobbies. A sea-side market with a few spots to make use of, and even the market itself would've lifted his spirits. The hill they were on was placed in an area known as the Vale Highlands. The city was a few minutes' walk, so energy would not be wasted in vast amounts. The entrance was down another hill and then a straight path. Yet there was a problem. The problem was the sight of Triton's guards. The problem was the sound of thunder from behind. They both turned, with Matthew standing up straight and narrow. It was horrific. A machine made of bones was marching, and where it stepped, everything wilted. Above it was a roaring pink serpent, and alongside the monster itself was an unseen force. Matthew stumbled back, stuttering incoherent words, and Margot simply took a deep breath. "Carry me. No ifs, ands, or buts. Carry me to that monster, and make it fast." Logic? Reason? The fact he was obeying her without a question and rushing forward to that beast? Suicidal. He didn't want to die, but with every step he started to understand. That city had people in it. People in the sense they had hearts and love and laughter and pain. Margot took a another deep breath, inflating herself in Matthew's arms. He stopped within throwing distance and she became a pistol; firing a shot of water right towards the head of the skeletal beast. margot is attacking from a distance margot is using water jet accuracy boost in water is not present. cool down in effect upon next post.

Arrival

As he stood there in Triton city he was there for business. He wanted to establish another connection and gather a possible ally to be a mission hub collector for his organization. The Legendary Tamer's union however, before he could do that he needed to gain more members. Yet it would appear there was some whispering amongst the guards of a giant digimon not so far off.

Exiting towards the city's outskirts he'd look out across the horizon to see the giant as Guilmon and Veemon appeared behind him. Arms crossed Guilmon would grin,

"Looks like we found a worthy opponent boss. I see we charge in crush him collect some bits for our trouble and have a feast. I mean, once that's all done we can go to the Village of beginnings and try to find his data and reassign his digitama to another tamer right. One less evil digimon around removed from it's routes and guided down the right path?"

Smiling he'd nod at guilmon's plan yet the voice of reason Veemon shook his head.

"I'm not entirely against that plan but I'd suggest we use this newly aquired network and call the others to arrive. That way we have reinforcements with this, besides this is a chance for The Legendary Tamers to make a name for ourselves as well as build allies with the city further and possibly prove to Adam we are worthy to be called an ally."

Hearing those words he'd pull out a device or communication and enter their teams chat room.

"Calling all members, please report to Triton City we have an emergency Code: MB please port in using our network and be quick about it."

Sending a second message he'd grin wide.

"Adam it's Ryuu, I need you and the lightsworn here immediately; we got a Code:MB Please use our network to gather your members. Just induct them into our organization and upload the code to unlock our network for them and transport here immediately."

As he finished his vocal message he'd hit send yet again before raising his eyes and exhailing slowly.

"You two keep a close eye on things. I will meet the others at the transport and come get me with any battle updates."

The Plan

He'd say leaving and heading to the spot where the others would arrive. Hoping to give them a briefing before they ran off to help.

"Listen up members, there seems to be a giant SkullGreymon heading this way. I deem him a code:MB. This is known as a Monstrous Beast or Mini Boss for you gamers. So we will need to be cautious and work as a unit. I want three of you to head in and distract it. I don't care which three, decide. Then I want Admin and his members to head east and sneak around an hit it form behind."

He'd say shifting his gaze.

"My self and the rest of you will split into two teams, charging in to from either side. Pincing it into a box. It will most likely retaliate to adam first, thus giving those who were distracting it a chance to strike it from behind. We will do our best to keep it distracted. so that whom ever is on it's back side can hit hard and the others will assist on the sides. Our goal is to defeat the beast at all costs before it reaches the city.

I am sure we will be rewarded for our troubles so that is some incentive.However our real goal is to delete this digimon send him back to the Village of beginnings and get him a proper tamer so he is guided down the right path. Now if anything goes wrong, don't be afraid to pull back. I am an excellent strategist and we have a strong ally in Lightsworn. "

He'd say patting Adam's shoulder.

"Now Keep your devices in hand and the communications link open that way we can hear the orders and move about as needed in case"

Moving Out

He'd ask before motioning for them to fall out as he took off, Veemon and Guilmon following by his side; although they were small this tiny group of soldiers had heart but would that alone be enough to stop the beast; only time would tell.

It was there as they arrived and split up that Calliope would aim to attack the beast with Haruhi from the right. Tobais and Juliette from the front would distract it and He himself would hit it from the left. Leaving Adam and the Lightsworn to hit it from the back had they done their job gone as planned. However what hadn't been planned was the extra reinforcement from others.

Watching the brave panthermon assist in the frontal assault followed by Adam's Weregururumon and Rapidmon's attacks at it as well, the plan wasn't as well orchestrated as he hoped but it was a good starting point.

But it wasn't until he heard, "PURIFICATION!" Shouted by another who struck near the arm that he in turn would act. He'd shout into his digivice for all to attack.

"NOW STRIKE HARD IT'S DISTRACTED. DON'T STOP MOVING! MOVE COUNTER C CLOCKWISE!"

He'd say as a jet of water struck out at it from a distance from an Otamamon. It was then his own digimon would attack; hopefully from the back side.

"Duke, Use Pyro sphere at it's left ankle, Vee hit him with a Vee headbutt for it's right ankle. Followed it up with a buzzing punch to keep it's attention. While Duke charges in with his Rock breaker...."

He'd shout running about with them attacking at the possible achille's heel of the beast.

"Keep it up, now both of you bolt out in different directions..."

He'd shout as they made an X formation out from behind it; zig zagging some. Their motions fluid and with such finesses one could tell they were experienced fights and often fought together; a sort of emotional synergy was felt about them. Hopefully his actions injured it some or dist distracted it long enough to give others the opening they needed enough to give them an opening.

The Vale Highlands... Yet another new place Yana had yet to explore in the slightest, and today she decided to rectify that. Truly she would have plenty such rectifications to make in the coming days, but a girl's gotta start somewhere right? Apparently there was a rather beautiful seaside city - Triton City - and before the day was over Yana had every intention to see it for herself. After all, the girl came to the Digital World to relax from exahusting days at school, and to explore a whole new universe, spreading out as far as her eyes could see. At least that was the intention. "Come on, Ari~!", urged the human, turning back to her freshly digivolved Gatomon. A cat digimon falling behind her tamer? What was up with her today? "Oh my, you sure are lively today, Nana-chan.", answered the Gatomon with a soft smile. Even then, it felt odd. Usually it was Ari leading her along, but ever since a few meters back her mood had seemingly sullied somewhat. Yana kept trying to wonder why that was, even as she walked around the hills and mountains, taking the least steep paths around them time and time again. According to the map, this was the way to Triton City. Then why were so many people and digimon walking AWAY from it?! At first she didn't even ponder too hard on that subject, but as more and more people passed by her on the opposite direction, Yana's eyes narrowed as she got more suspicious, her cheerful stride slowing down to match Ari's pace. So this have been the same unease she felt. But as they crossed yet another mountain, the road down the mountain to the city came fully into view, and as did the cause for all of this migratiomn: A colossal, skeletal digimon! "Good grief... Again?!", asked a faintly annoyed Ari, rolling her eyes, obviously trying to hide her concern. After the incident in Terabyte city, now there was a humongous Skullgreymon shambling towards the city?!, "What's up with all these Virus Digimon?! Let's go Nana-chan!" "Right!", Yana nodded, looking a lot more determined now than she did last time. She didn't know where all that confidence had come from, it had to be from more than simply surviving the fight in Terabyte city... Maybe even more than having Ari digivolve and stay in that form ever since... Now they knew there would be people fighting for the same goal, and more importantly, Yana knew that if she and Ari worked in unison, the whole would be a lot bigger than the sum of its parts. Hurried down the road, Ari gave Yana some last minute instructions as she ran ahead on all fours, "Be careful Nana-chan! Skullgreymon is an Ultimate level Virus Digimon, and that one looks even stronger than any I've ever seen!" The tamer simply nodded, a silent sign of trust and understanding, and before long they came within range to attack. Even from afar, it radiated a putrid, vile aura that made even the human feel slightly nauseuous. She could only wonder how Ari might feel... But there she was, rushing bravely into battle, headfirst. They could do this... Between them and all the other strong looking tamers nearby, they had more than enough firepower to knock this thing down on the ground before it reached the city. Quickly adjusting her glasses, Yana immediately located a potential area to attack: "ARI, GO FOR IT'S KNEE!!", she called out, steering her partner towards the best place to attack. Skullgreymon was nothing but bones, and a beast that large needed strong legs to stay upright. If they knocked one leg down, or at least weakened it, it would have to stop walking at least for a while. "HEAVEN'S KNUCKLE!!", Ari called out, her holy ring glowing as she coated her paw with holy light, unleashing a powerful punch on the colossal monster's kneecap, before quickly tucking in and nimbly rotating in the air as the recoil knocked her back, landing on her four feet and observing the reaction. Haru and V had been ruminating on the events of the past few days. The people they'd met. The... Guild? Union? Club? It was hard to say what they were, a collection of people looking to help, was what Haru believed. V had liked their boss enough, and having no reservations about working with strangers, Haru happily accepted the invitation to join them. Their resources would help her get around from the human and digital worlds too, which was a nice bonus.

Suddenly her phone began to vibrate, violently and in bursts, messages came in, transcribed from.the groups chat. Her phone was too old to actively be able to respond, but she could receive messages just fine. Connecting over the union line was... Strange. It was different than normally shifting to the digital world. Faster, more direct. It allowed her to get to Triton City fairly quickly. There she'd see what all the fuss was about. Still not too familiar with the "codes" this group talked about, it was impossible to miss the looming skeletal behemoth towering above her. And she'd waist no time outfitting her partner to the task at hand.

"Digi-modify!" the blonde would shout as she drew one of her cards through her digivice. "Avalon's Gate with Caledfwlch!" it was perhaps the rarest card within her collection, and with good reason. V soon sprouted a grand pair of wings from his back, sentient helpers that'd boost his speed, and more importantly allow him to fly. But more importantly perhaps was the temporary addition of a massive gun-like spear. It cycled through several chambers, priming them for detonation. Unfortunately this beast wasn't of the mortal persuasion, even in the sense that most Digimon had flesh or scales. Skullgreymon was indeed just a skeleton. Where do you hit a skeleton to hurt it?

Honestly, even this likely wouldn't do much in terms of damage. They'd have to make it count... The de-facto leader of their group suggested the leg. Which was going to be Haru's target anyway. Either they both had a similar though process, or they were both equally unimaginative.

"V! Detonate that thing in its leg, we need to get to stop!"

"Got it, boss!" The veemon would shout as he peeled off at breakneck speed toward the skeleton and its vulnerable looking limb. He would fly in close, holding the buzzing, angry spear brimming with explosives tightly in his hands, aiming to sink it in the creature's ankle, blow it apart.

It had been some time since their last mini boss encounter and a few weeks prior they had completed a few missions; one of which was with Silica , Juliette Rhydderch and Adam Jackson . Having completed that task they'd have gone their separate ways, Damion to train with Impmon once more and try to master one of his arguably new forms he'd obtained yet he often found himself relying on the more stable Baalmon. So it came to no surprise as the duo made their way towards Triton city to grab goods and meet up with an old friend. Yet much to their surprise he'd only now be encountering a giant beast from behind as it made it's way towards the city. A faint smile passed his lips as it curled into a devious grin. "Yo Impmon, ready to rock this walking fossil." He'd no as he raised his digivice and the golden armor popped out. "GOLDEN ARMOR ENERGIZE!" It was with those words the Demon man appeared from a radiance of glow. Damion grinning he'd take off and Damion followed not far behind. Watching as they charged in their seemed to be a great deal of combat already started. Running in Baalmon would raise a hand as the tags beneath his cloak fired off he'd use his Guiltish0 attack the tags forming bullets fired at the enemy to gather it's attention. Once done he'd bolt forth using his speed to use his Assassin's Blade1 upon it's leg region the same spot not long before two digimon seemed to hit possibly an Achille's heel. Hopefully stunning it, if not dealing a bit of damage, while still moving beneath it, it would make a few basic strikes before using it's Leak Information1. Casting a Tailisman on the enemy in hopes it would fuses with them. Thus projecting all it's information on a floating hologram above it like a game log for all to see. Health, Aliments, Strength, Speed, move pool, etc. However as all knowing as he was and as useful as the tager were. Some digimon may have stats  or information appear as ? due to code complications in the network given the Tailisman's age and recent updates. As the brave little demon man danced about Damion would arrive hopefully next to Adam and grin, "Hope we ain't too late pal?" It was then that Baalmon would jump back before the Digimon several feet before once more jumping high into the sky and shouting. "I got a bone to pick with you numbskull." "KAMIUICHI!" Snickering he'd release his Kamiuichi4 a mighty lightning-fast smiting like strike from the Dǎshénbiān, Spiritual Whip, which is especially effective against Holy-species Digimon and hit most for a decent chunk of damage. However seeing how strong this digimon was He'd hop this strike would have done a air enough chunk of damage if not made himself the primary target; a gutsy yet purposeful action. Had the Whip struck as intended it would have lashed itself around the neck giving him ample time to us it to properly maneuver in the air in attempts to fling himself up and onto it's neck. Thus firing off more Guiltish0 bullet tags as it did; at any possible hands that might get in it's way. As it would continue in attempt to reach it's goal. Had it succeeded, several forceful normal strikes with the dagger would be made upon the 1st cervical vertebra. Given his extreme vast knowledge an being classified as a reaper in some instances. He would use his knowledge of anatomy to strike hardest where he knew it would most effective. Especially for a walking skeleton; however he only got one shot to do as much damage as possible before the creature would swat him away or grip him in his hand so he was as swift as he could be and cautious; but would it be enough? As Baalmon went crazy on the enemy Damion grinned and boasted. Hoping that it's Reapear ability worked as he did a fair chunk of damage to this digimon with each strike made. "That's what you call true power, look at that work. Mmmmm what is with that data bar above it. It's not working like it does for most enemies. Odd?" Damion would say he glared at the beast then began to run further back and away from the fight to see it a bit better.

Panthermon's Spiral Flame grazed off of Skullgreymon's bones, a Rookie-level attack causing only his the glowing orbs in his eye sockets to gaze at the lesser Digimon for a moment, before being distracted by other attacks. Zachary Scryer

Due to DARK SPELL: AURA ENCHANTMENT, Renae's GOLDEN RADIANCE simply equalized the playing field, neither Digimon holding an advantage outside of level. However, the combination attack from the twins does visible damage on the undead Digimon, causing him to halt his charge and focus on the battle. Skullgreymon sends two GROUND ZERO missiles towards both Renae and Remy. Adam Jackson

Renae's GOLDEN RADIANCE allows Walter to personally break through DARK SPELL: AURA ENCHANTMENT and deal an additional amount of damage due to BEAST OF JUSTICE. PURIFICATION does massive damage to the Skullgreymon, enough to make him decide to make Walter his primary target. Skullgreymon engages Walter and uses DARKNESS CLAW against him. CLAIRE LYON

Margot's WATER JET attack actually manages to deal a small amount of damage due to the debuffs Skullgreymon is currently suffering. However, it is still not a significant amount, being of Rookie-level. Just for fun, the undead Digimon sent a GROUND ZERO missile in the general direction of the Otamamon. matthew mcdermott

Duke and Vee would soon find out that Digimon's anatomy was much like that of a fossil - hard and rock-like. VEE HEADBUTT would have little effect, and probably hurt the Rookie-level in return, but PYRO SPHERE would do a mild amount of damage to the Digimon's joint, though still not a significant amount. Skullgreymon spewed out a CURSED BREATH attack towards the Veemon in instinctual response. Ryuu Oda

Ari's HEAVEN KNUCKLES does increased damage to Skullgreymon's kneecap, causing him to flinch momentarily. However, soon after, he continued to fight on without an issue. The undead Digimon sent yet another GROUND ZERO missile towards the Gatomon. Yana Sekigawa

V's Avalon's Gate with Caledfwlch card does more damage than a Rookie-leveled attack, but still fails to deal anything more than a mild punch to the leg. Luckily for this Rookie, Skullgreymon is too busy with the other Digimon to send an attack V's way. Haruhi Ryuukami

Baalmon's fancy tricks do a decent amount of damage to Skullgreymon, being previously weakened. The combination of Armor Ultimate-level attacks mananged to crack the undead Digimon's spine, though only a little bit, and not nearly enough to completely break. The monster roared in response, sending two GROUND ZERO missiles towards the Baalmon - though one would whizz right past the Nightmare Soldiers Digimon - and head right for his tamer, Damion. Naturally, Panthermon's SPIRAL FLAME did no relative damage. At first, Zachary thought they were royally screwed--- until he heard the shouts and roars of others attacking! Before he knew it, other digimon arose to come and fight for the sake of the giant rampaging Skullgreymon. A magnadramon, a Gatomon, A Veemon and Guilmon together, and plenty of others. Turning around, he saw other human kids like him, some older and some around his age. He didn't realize so many other kids were here in the digital world, let alone partnered with such amazing digimon. It made Zachary feel a bit small, being relatively new to this whole trainer thing. But now... 


The roar of Skullgreymon drew him back to reality as he turned and saw the other digimon attack, doing far more damage than Panthermon could have. Pride was not something to get mixed up in now as he turned to Panthermon. "PANTHERMON! Get back! Leave the forward assault to the others!" he shouted to Panthermon. 


Panthermon did move back but he didn't leave the battle, he was either being stubborn or realistic. "Zachary, this is a fight we can't just hide from. Even if he is stronger,"  the jungle cat digimon said, his eyes glaring back to Zachary. Though from afar, the voice was clear via the bond between them. Panthermon had a near telepathic link between his trainer, making him able to convey things easier between them and sense their status. "I refuse to do nothing here."

"Have you lost it? It's an ultimate! The last attack didn't even tickle its funny bone! He'll stomp on you like a bug!" Zachary shouted, realizing how dangerous it was to just use simple attacks.

"You're my tamer, aren't you?" Panthermon said. From the distance, Zachary could of sworn he saw a smirk on Panthermon's cat-like face. Even though surrounded by such stronger digimon, the cat digimon was not even intimidated. "You always say you're creative. So get creative,"

At first, Zachary was going to rebuttle, but then he stopped and his eyes went wide as he got what he was saying. Despite the difference in power, they were not out of options. With a deep breath, he reached into his jacket pocket and took out the cards he had. Modify cards. "Alright, lets give it a shot!" he said as he looked to his allies nearby. Even if they couldn't do damage, they could sure slow the giant thing down.

Zachary tossed one of the cards up in the air and his digivice in his other hand. Snapping the card in the air, he had both his arms crossed, the card in his left, and the digivice in his right. In a unified motion, he drew them both apart-- the card and digivice meeting as they did so! A sudden eruption of light and spark shot out from where the card met the cardreader of Zachary's blue digivice. The sheer kinetic slash through the digivice added more power to it, along with Zachary's imagination, trying to power up Panthermon further. As he did, the digivice read the card's data, computing and preparing to transfer the data to Panthermon from afar.

"Digi-modify!!" Zachary shouted, and slashed the card through with a final tug! "Power Plug In, Upload!

Energy filled the screen of his digivice as the small boost in power suddenly traveled through the air and into Panthermon! From afar, Panthermon was running near Skullgreymon's legs while it was attacking the others. As he ran, he felt a sudden surge of electricity through his body. His 'digi-muscles' moving with renewed strengh, as Zachary's power boost made his data far stronger than before.

" Now that is a good start!" Panthermon encouraged, already sensing Zachary was about to use another card.

Flicking another card between his fingers, Zachary crossed his arms once more, and focused. With another cross, he slashed the second card in-- this time being an actual digimon card. One of a white-dinosaur with ice surrounding it. "Digi-Modify! Snowagumon: Frozen Wind-- Upload!"

With the boost in power, Zachary wanted to be sure his attack at least did some more damage-- and to the next card, a move he hoped would give Skullgreymon a cold reception. "Let's send this Jurassic Reject to the Ice Age! "

Panthermon growled as his body surged with another data-surge, feeling the foreign presence of data of another digimon. It was subtle but noticeable to his senses as his mind race, sensing the power of ice now flowing through him. Jumping up into the air, Panthermon let out a jungle cat's cry. "FROZEN WIND!!" he roared, and from his mouth instead of flames-- a gust of frozen air surged out in a large blast upon the dinosaur's hind leg!

The concentrated blizzard roared across the immediate area, to the leg to the ground below him-- as Panthermon's howl ended. Now, Skullgreymon's left leg was encased in ice, up to his thigh.

For Zachary, he hoped that combo would make the attack stick-- and hinder Skullgreymon's movements by trapping his leg in ice. A normal rookie wouldn't do much but with the power-plug in card, he hoped he had a chance!

Meanwhile, Zachary looked around. He didn't know the potential of the other trainers, but he hoped, like him, they used cards as well. It was then however, he spotted one! A girl with blonde hair with a Veemon nearby. He didn't know who she was but he quickly ran towards her, hoping to learn more and possibly help.

No matter what cards he had-- they wouldn't do much if his digimon were not strong enough to make full use of them. But another person with a stronger digimon, could!

"Excuse me! Sorry for lack of greetings but you use Digimon cards for your digimon, right? Let's combine forces. My digimon isn't strong enough to benefit from some of the cards I have!"Zachary said. With that, reaching into his backpack quickly, he took out his card binder and put it on the grassy ground. He quickly opened it as he knelt there, showing it to her and allowing her to use what she would need.

Attacks Continue in Unison

As Guilmon and Veemon made their attack it seemed Veemon's headbutt did some residual damage; nothing to hefty rather minor of course but it did leave him in a bit of a daze and with a minor headache. None the less the two could zig zag back again and this time Bolt in for a ¹Unison Attack₂.

Veemon charging in on it's left ankle; the one which seemed to take the most amount of damage of their two attacks. As it did this his brother would also charge in the two attacking simultaneously with one another. Veemon throws strategically placed and precisely aimed punches upon the digimon's ankle. While Guilmon  would have sets it's claws a blaze and attacks the enemy's ankle from the opposite side; slashing at them furiously.

As their Combo finished the two would once again high tail it once more running about Zig-Zagging as the other digimon went about their assault doing their damage as rockets were fired off, it's claws were swiping about. It seemed to be angry with them; then again if you had a bunch of enemies attacking you in a swarm you'd be pretty bitter.

The Unforeseen Outcome

As he stood there watching the outcome of his actions. He'd hear his device go off and the chat room pop up. Quickly reading the text from Tobias as his digimon ran about doing their thing he'd shoot a quick voice message back at the boy; the sound of chaos and fighting going on in the background.

"Alright but as soon as you are done please come immediately, we could use the..."

He would pause for a moment as he saw the slightly dazed veemon running and the attacks made on everyone; including one heading it's way.

"VEEEMON NO!"

Immediately he' send the message cutting it off, It was at that very moment the the Cursed breath was spewed hitting the slightly dazed Veemon for some fixed damage and poisoning it. His body would have been knocked back by the shot towards his brother as the Guilmon picked his body up and ran off with him. A small yet black stream of smoke passing from it's lips signifying it's poisoned.

As the two ran back towards their leader Guilmon would Look at him. Laying the injured Veemon off his back and besides Ryuu. The little guy took more damage then needed and Ryuu was furious. Guilmon would share a similar look wanting blood he'd growl,

"I'm gonna snap his bones in two."

Agreeing Ryuu would fold his arms over his chest letting Veemon rest.

The Reaction

As he thought strategically on what was going on, the group of misfit heroes appeared capable of holding it in place some stopping any sudden progression. This was good but the enemy was strong, much stronger then a normal Skullgreymon; this much was clear. Yet it seemed a few of these tamers had skill. Such as the one with the Panther who's digimon seemed to attempt to lock up that left left they were wailing on with all that focused damage on it.

As the ice formed over it the real question wasn't how much damage it would do but just how long it would last an if it even did anything from the get go. focused on the fight he'd turn to guilmon.

"I need you to keep calm. I know your angry so am I but rushing in and getting killed won't help me nor Veemon. We need to think, can you fire off another Pyro Sphere?"

Shaking it's head it was still recovering from the last, taking that into consideration he'd wait and pat it's head.

"Perhaps we should kick it up a notch in our next move. I'm thinking we try that Armor Trick out huh?"

Looking at him it would grin and nod but he'd shake his head some,

"Not just yet, we need to do so strategically, to catch it off guard."

Nodding in Agreement the two would watch and wait to strike.

CRACK!

Walter clamped his jaws down hard upon impact, sinking his fangs into the hard surface of the Skullgreymon's arm bone. Seeing the attack coming for him, the Magnadramon released the arm but not in time to get out of the way of the Darkness Claw. It sent tumbling through the air into a small building, collapsing part of it upon impact due to the massive force Walter was struck with.

Rumbling from deep in his throat, the Magnadramon picked himself up, gathering himself while the Skullgreymon took a moment to aim for other Digimon. Wings flexed, pair by pair, front legs rose, then back as he briefly assessed the damages- pain, mostly, but he was still in one piece, thanks to a small natural defense against virus type digimon.

With multiple missiles being shot off, the ground was an unsafe place to be right now. To be sure, the air couldn't be too much better, but Walter knew he would be more maneuverable from above. Shaking the debris off himself, the dragon took to the air again, muzzle wrinkling into a snarl as he gained speed, knowing the other Digimon would only be able to buy so much time- it was the higher tiered levels any Digimon, even a mindless Skullgreymon, would be concerned about, especially after that nasty bite he'd delivered to it.

He charged not for the Skullgreymon though, but a tamer- out of the corner of his eye Walter could see the missile whizzing toward him, and gathered his strength. "Wild Buster!" All four paws hit the ground, then shot him forward, but he deliberately missed his target, instead aiming above Damion and catching him in his mouth, both of them flying past the missile. He wasn't quick enough to fully get out of the way of the massive area of the blast, however- pain from the previous attack slowed him down.

The explosion badly singed his rear wings, tail, and legs whilst simultaneously propelling him forward. The Magnadramon just barely landed on his feet, paw pads scraping painfully on the ground, and head lifted as he tried to keep the human from colliding with anything on the way.

And this was why humans should stay well out of the way.

No time for chiding or words of thanks- dropping the human as soon as he stopped, the Magnadramon whirled around, wounded paws causing him to wince.

After a major falter during takeoff, he flew just a short distance into the sky, mist leaking from his mouth. "Hermit Fog!" With many lower leveled Digimon assisting currently, the aim was to corrode the Skullgreymon's bones, hopefully making them more brittle and easier to damage.

Having travelled from east to South, Sebastian felt somewhat more at ease in the jungle, wishing he could have returned, yet according to the Penguin beside him, this was the way to some cool city. They needed to restock their food supplies and the twenty something year old trainer had to get his wounds checked, The pain in his back had subsided sometime ago, the wounds healed. Thankfully it wasn't to cold of a day so he was able to remove his shirt and waist coat so that air could circulate around the scabbing wounds. His back essentially permanently scared in this form, though he wondered if this would translate to his physical body. The pain, the memories they would stay with him, would the seeable marks go to.

"Uh.....Sebastian" the female voice of his friend pipped up as she stared in a single direction. "I see it" Sebastian would utter. "We could go around..it looks like many are engaging it already....." the digimon would say. Yet her tamer was already running towards the cluster of bodies swarming the giant creature. Decreasing distance Sebastian would halt his movement, freezing completely. Memories of Palmon surfaced, not the wounds she had caused to him, but the strikes caused to his friend. "Sebastian....we can help....but ....but don't do anything stupid....don't get hurt again" the penguin would utter, her eyes giving him that look that any child would know. It was essentially the DO WHAT I SAY OR I WILL MURDER YOU look that mothers gave to their misbehaving children. "But...but i don't want you to get hurt" Sebastian would say as he knelt down to his digimon, ignoring the batlle. He was a kind man, yet the people battling, they were not important, not compared to the companion he had made.

"I'm a digimon Sebastion, this is what we do, your kindness, your friendship....you just being here....it gives me power, as long as we are together then we can win" Biting his lip but nodding Sebastion would  pick up the penguin and begin to charge once more, He would even continue running as the explosions and assaults from the skull like creature erupted around the battlefield. It would be after such damages that possibly the newest tamer appeared upon the field. He was in awe of the appearance of many of the digimon, they radiated power. "Ultimates galore" Penguinmon uttered as she pushed herself from his grip.

"Stay" she shouted as if commanding a dog, Sebastian smiled gently, though his face quickly turned to that of a frown, worry in his eyes. This creature was massive, some of the more powerful looking digimon had already been damaged and now his little partner was running to help them...could she do anything though. Sebastian found his location to be close to that of a tamer whom seemed to have two digimon, one was lying upon the ground, dazed or injured perhaps? the other was being patted. Sebastian took the chance to cover the small distance to put himself beside said tamer @ryuu Oda while at this point the penguin was roughly five meters from the Skull greymon.

Ice particles formed within her mouth, shaping into a shard of ice half the size of the Penguin, though with a full mouth her voice still managed to sound the assault out perfectly. "ICE SHARD" she said as the sharp chunk of ice was propelled from her mouth though it woudl fall short of her target which was the lower back and instead its trajectory seemed to result in the new intended target being the right hip of the creature.

"NOW MOVE PENGUINMON" shouted sebastion. Taking his order, she would slide upon her stomach much like penguins do, sliding to the left of the greymon. Honestly the ice shard was the only assault she had that would be able to do anything, she doubted a belly slide or a slap would do much to the bone like creature. Though she hoped to be an annoyance.

Sebastian at this time was biting the inside of his lip like he did in many stressful situations. "be ok, be ok, be ok, be ok" he would whisper to himself over and over again, not realizing the glow within his pocket at this point in time.

Too much was happening too fast, and yet Matthew's eyes attempted to keep up visually while his mind continued to hang in disbelief. The roars of the creatures were close, and their forms could be seen. Fur like that of a jungle king, golden armor that glistened in the burning sunlight, red and blue tinted skin that concealed visible muscle... People were shouting alongside vocal commands from these creatures and it all seemed like a dream. Matthew felt the wind on his back, and the sun beating down on his skin. The beads of sweat, formed seconds ago, gathered at his chin and fell onto Margot's head. She could understand, really and truly. It wasn't the first time that someone felt such emotions in a world inside a machine; especially without knowing they were cast unwillingly. From the neck-deep waters of an ocean realm to this? To think death was so calm and serene, and then finding oneself on the path of which giants walked and carved? She could understand, but Matthew wouldn't listen. Two missiles were shot in the direction of some younger-looking man and his partners. A claw slashed the sky at that divine serpent and now the beast's eyes were facing Margot. Her attack got his attention, and he retaliated. A third Matt! missile was made airborne, yet it Matt! Run! wasn't until the monster flinched that Matthew noticed. "Run, for Pete's sake!" With Margot still clutched between chest and arms, the coward bolted to the right. The size of the monster made it obvious, but the missile didn't. If it was intent on destroying the city, it could've done so already with just a few of those. It wouldn't need to focus for power, as such a thing only required accuracy to ensure the target was destroyed.
