► oh it eats us alive Yes there's a scream inside That we all try to hide We hold on so tight But I don't wanna die |
Truly, a mess.
Skullgreymon and his little "friends" had gone down thanks to the combined efforts of many uncoordinated ( and in some cases idiotic ) tamers, but not before a portion of the settlement was destroyed in a firey blast. A shame, perhaps, but such was the way of this world- Claire couldn't be bothered to think very much of the loss.
Tamer and Digimon landed on the edge of the city, the shining Magnadramon a striking contrast to the black, Gothic background of Necropolis. After dismounting wordlessly, the woman began to move into the city with purpose, clearly knowing exactly where she was going.
Walter followed just a pace behind his tamer, quickly de-digivolving down to Lekismon form. Ears were perked and swiveled with alertness despite being somewhat tired and still injured from the battle- no rest for the weary with Claire. She seemed to remain unimpressed with him and had said nothing for the entire flight except for directions- this left the Digimon feeling rather disheartened, though perhaps now was not the time to express it. Lips were thin- as thin as almost non-existent lips could be- with disappointment, though he remained a silent follower for now.
Oh, but despite her currently stony, neutral expression, the woman was indeed deep in thought about other topics. To be honest, she was quite pleased about this turn of events- a new force was mobilizing in the Digital World... possibly multiple forces, who could tell at this point? There were still so many unknowns and unanswered questions, and she was very, very interested.
And so it was time to exercise her new network- the Ringbound. While true that some were inexperienced and ignorant about the Digital World, surely someone must have seen something of interest- the chaos in the South would have been hard to miss.
The garden the two entered was thankfully empty this time of day- later, she would have to find a suitable private location, but for now this would do. The only company for now were unknown plants, some much darker and likely more dangerous than those found on Earth. After a quick look around, the group's head and organizer called the meeting. A signal sent out from her Digivice to the Digivices of other members- they would be able to follow the beacon and find her with ease, should they choose to attend. It was not mandatory, as her group did not aim to control the actions of other members, but surely, it would be beneficial to meet and share information at this critical time.
It might save their lives later, or perhaps... something even better.

[attr="class","smdbody"]the message would have been ignored if it had failed to reach her before she had completely exited the partially ruined city. "ah shit." belmont bared her teeth at the device, peering down at her waist with a disgruntled expression. there were hints of reluctance that accompanied each movement as she plucked the item from her hip and eyed the recently acquired message. it was a neatly structured piece that alerted rindbound members to their leader's location. "huh." apparently the sender was requesting some form of audience so that the lot of them could be properly briefed. it would be the first meeting she would attend. and participation was officially listed as non-mandatory. that tidbit wasn't terribly surprising for the girl. their leader was a woman who did not seek absolute control of those whom she led, after all. this had managed to appeal to quite a few when it came to allying themselves with ringbound. there was a lack of rigidness - a lack of uniformity - a lack of morality. yet all those whom proclaimed their allegiance were expected to remain unflinchingly loyal. "shouldn't take too long ah reckon," she said. and so she approached the garden's at a fairly moderate pace and entered without causing much noise. her expression was wholly neutral, though her single working eye remained fixed upon claire for a moment. there was something about her left an impression upon the blemont. but it was so infuriatingly indiscernible that she didn't really bother to mull over it. ah wonder what she wants ta talk about, she thought, eyebrows furrowing. despite her usual brutish stance, the redhead was wise enough to remain both respectable and professional as she addressed the older female - her superior. "andrea belmont present," she began before deciding to clarify after a brief pause. "You never really told me what that woman was like- the one with the Lekismon."
How could Matthew describe her, if not herself? Her mannerisms were archaic and olde, much like how he, himself, was at certain times above ground. Fancy parties to reignite a dead passion of lust and adventure, mirroring that of an old movie was a prime and well-received example.
To be able to dress the body in chameleon, borrow the mental capabilities of a wolf, and dance about or speak as if one were a sheep or lion was truly amazing. Yet was this Ms Lyon simply wearing that title, or was she truly a living puzzle?
Such questions could be asked directly at a later time. Though his ability to adapt to this unique underworld - or side world - was growing, the ever present fear of an unseen death was lingering like a mist around his heart. It did not constrict or suffocate, nor did it pierce the weak flesh. It hung there, heavy in a metaphorical sense.
Getting to Necropolis was far from contrite. In the real World, this location was synonymous with Hell, and represented by a city made of graves and tombs. There was no guilt. There was no remorse. One could simply come and go as they please, regardless of any sins committed or actions desired to be forgotten.
Matthew couldn't remain silent all along the trip; as they fortunate enough to find aid in a sentient vehicle called Trailmon. While it could speak, the young man treated it as if it were simply a conductor within the machine, surprising Margot to some extent.
He did have questions, and the train was more than happy enough to answer them. Within a good handful of minutes, and all but forgetting past events and faces, tamer and Digimon followed the beacon's signal. Matthew had fallen silent upon taking in the dark and fantastical architecture. The inhabitants were unseen, as they didn't matter for the most part. They were in no danger from this strange visitor.
The signal led them to a garden of sorts. Plants, pillars, black gates and no place to sit were all present and accounted for. Some snapped and some slept, but the only living things that would and could hurt were just a few feet ahead. Perhaps there was a chair and table further in, but that could wait.
With right hand behind his back, and Margot softly gazing away at it, Matthew bowed his head before Claire and Andrea.
truth be told i never took it off to begin with

Honestly, Angeli's pilgrimage here to Necropolis was not one initially with a real purpose. The young Rookie level was not terribly used to her own world, so learning about the surrounding areas would have been vastly important. Still, the Chromiamon could not help be unsettled in hearing recent news about one of the main cities in the Digital World having been attacked. Honestly it only seemed to create additional questions for the girl... ones that made her think back to Ryuu Oda's claims and desires to unite this world and the human world peacefully.
Would said worlds even want to aid in such an affair?
She shook her head some as she walked towards her destination. Perhaps her previous thoughts on how "might makes right" weren't as far-fetched as Ryuu claimed? That was partially why she was out and about this time of day. She realized that because of peoples' perceptions of morals, sometimes people were unable to do the right thing without being scrutinized immediately. Rumor had it that a group of individuals were also fed up with this fact, a call towards those who share these feelings having been sent out. The young Rookie level saw it as an oppurtunity to better herself. Angeli knew currently she was weak... but perhaps by aiding others and having allies, her own dreams could become a reality?
Noticing a few individuals in the garden where this meeting was rumored to be held, the carbuncle Digimon nodded to herself softly, figuring that this was the place. She calmly approached them, she bowing courteously. "I heard word about there being a meeting here?" The Rookie level would ask softly aloud as she glanced around the area, she noting that beyond a rather handsome Lekismon and a female Otamamon, she was the only other Digimon present at the moment... and in her case, looked like the only one without a human. She did notice that one-eyed red head back at the gym when she was still with Ryuu was here also... huh. Didn't think she'd ever meet her... especially like this.

Leyton dragged himself into the garden, this stupid device wouldn't let him get any shut eye without acknowledging some invitation or something. The white haired boy's hair was still in it's usual unnkept state, his eyes partially closed, and with a yawn he forced himself awake, grumbling to himself. "Leyton Thomson reporting for duty..." he gave Clair a salute, aying no mind to the fact that this was the first time he's even seen the leader of ringbound.
Without hesitation he let out another yawn and made his way towards a near by bench, plopping down on it and throwing his head back. Meeting or not he was catching some Zs, even if is leader was right there, it was hard finding a good resting spot in a world full of monsters and chaos. After he gets a 15 minute nap, he'll be more than ready to contribute to the team.He had no clue the lovely Miss Belmont was there, though in hsi current state he wasn't much for conversation, there was another fellow but he was probably little more than another member aswell.
"Hey boss, I'm gonna catch a few Zs, but don't worry I'll be sure to play catch up on whatever the meeting is about." he muttered, rubbing his eyes. "Night." it took him no time to drift into slumber.

OOPS, YOU SAW MY HORNS they're really not halo, just horns Hidden behind an angelic facade; oh how silly, you fell for my lies. It's funny, the joke's on you. Can you hear my laughter? Can you hear my voice? You danced with the devil, now you must pay the price. Nothing can save you now. [attr="class","horns"]So many things had happened in such a short amount of time, truly impressive. This strange place was full of different kinds of adventures and peril, filled with people that opened multiple opportunities. The destruction of Triton City, the death of a mighty king and the rise of a new threat; it was so thrilling to know- to watch- as a new chapter unfolded in this peculiar world. But for now, all excitement should be contained.
A short notice was sent not long after the events in the South; a meeting to be held between members of a group she had sworn allegiance too. The agenda wasn't stated but if Astoria had to guess then it probably had something to do with the previous incidents. But then again, this would be the first time the members were gathering so it might just be more than those little disasters.
Like a queen in her chariot, Astoria sat on the devidramon's back with one leg crossed over the other, just as her arms were. Her gaze plastered to a faraway sight to a light, a signal, only a few miles away and in a silent voice ordered Nox to bring her there. She lowered her eyelash, slightly squinting, as the dragon accelerated, locks flying away with the tiniest grace. With that speed, it wasn't surprising that in a bat of the eyes, they have arrived.
With speed decreasing and altitude lowering, the dark dragon shortly landed in the gardens and the black-haired rider dismounted soon after. Heels clicking loudly amidst the silence as Astoria made her way towards the group with a small smile on her face. There were already a number of people, perhaps the majority of Ringbound. Ah, what a shame. She wanted to be the first so she could talk to Claire. But no matter, personal interest would came later.
Tilting her head slightly, her smile grew a bit though no words left her lips. Her presence was simply enough; she was certain that everyone had noticed her, though except for that silver-haired laying on the bench. As Astoria reached her desired position, Nox reverted back into his bite-size gazimon form and walked over to his human, taking the girl's side. sweet religion Help me, satan! help me, satan! i've been here so long for the love of god
+ condition: perfect! + passive lich physiology: immune to poisons, bleeds, and gores. 75% reduced damage from darkness. reslient, can resemble. takes triples damage from holy elemental sources. + passive tartarus core: +50% elemental resistance and +25% magical power per undead. + attack GOD HAND | The black gardens, full of botany that one could only find in the Dark Area. Thorny roses and darkened lilies were the main plants, though more deadly blooms flourished among the harmless flowers. Deathpetals, a bell-like flower with an elongated stem, were some of these. Consumption of this flower made one's heart stop within two hours - making it a common ingredient in assassination poisons. Another was the Horrorleech, a large flycatcher-type of plant that consumes large insects, and sometimes, even small Digimon, such as Demidevimon. Shadows would form around the flowers, and they would not be silent. The Mark on CLAIRE LYON would be the first to react, burning her flesh and glowing a dim red. Next matthew mcdermott 's would do the same, indicating that they were currently in the direct vicinity of the phantoms hunting their souls. They would would demonic whispers scratching within their skulls, and so soon would all the other present members of the Ringbound. Victims of circumstance. The shades would form into solidified shapes, making up creatures such as Skullknightmon, Blackguilmon, Devimon, and several others. The amount of ghosts were innumerable - they would surround the group on every side, and seem to form walls around them. A Devimon phantasm would suddenly leap forth at CLAIRE LYON , attempting to pass into her body and possess her. A force beyond the strength of the shadows or any member could be felt close by, something that would declare itself as the specter attempted to take control of the Ringbound leader's body.
"Do not lose your will - it will possess your soul." The voice was calm and resonated throughout the entire garden in an eerie way - one that would certainly send a chill down the spine of a common mortal. Behind the bench where Leyton Thomson rested, the shadows would begin to part, forming a path for one to walk through. However, before anybody could make a run for it, a large figure cloaked in an aura of night appeared in the path, walking towards the group with a slow pace. "They will hunt you until they achieve this. It is their only thought - their only goal." It was a male's voice, somewhat higher pitched, but yet mellow and relaxed. It echoed through a mouthpiece and had an ethereal ring to it, "The Mark truly is a bothersome spell." He stepped into the dim light of the garden, showing off his form in full sight. The figure was tall, being at least six foot eight, and was covered in a obsidian armor. He seemed to be otherworldly in nature, having a devilish tail and many seemingly alive mouths and eyes upon his suit of protection. The knight wore a crimson cape, indicating some sense of regalia. "It is an ancient thing that dates further back than even myself. Only the wine of Bacchusmon can cleanse it from your skin." The phantoms seemed to fear him, slowly slinking off back into the darkness, only a few remaining at this point. Regardless if CLAIRE LYON had shook the phantom out of her body or not, the armored lich would then make a single declaration that would cause all the ghosts to flee in terror, "Begone. These mortals are under my jurisdiction." After they had fled, he would look down upon the leader of the group. "My name is Plutomon - the ruler of the Dark Area. Gather yourselves together - and I will begin my explanation of why I have come before you on this day." | © seadra of gs |

► oh it eats us alive Yes there's a scream inside That we all try to hide We hold on so tight But I don't wanna die | They arrived, one by one.
"Good evening." The first to answer the call was a young girl by the name of ANDREA B. BELMONT . She was quite young, refreshingly spirited- that much could be seen in her visible eye- and possibly naive. That last quality remained to be seen, however- Claire had yet to know her personally... but she couldn't say she wasn't looking forward to testing her out.
The next was a more familiar face- it looked like Mr. matthew mcdermott had made it out of the madness after all, and with his Otamamon intact, no less. She had to admit, she'd had some doubts about him at the beginning- his first impression had failed to impress her- but hopefully him still being alive and deciding to ally with the Ringbound meant he would still be around for some time to come.
Next was... an entirely unfamiliar face. A strange Digimon- Angeli was unique in appearance, but not unlike Walter, similar to a rabbit. "There is, indeed," Claire replied, raising an eyebrow. For now, she would let her stay. The meeting wasn't a secret after all, simply intended as a sharing of information and possibly theories- perhaps this unknown Digimon could even offer a useful morsel or two as a native resident of this world.
Claire's eyes followed the young man that walked in next and... promptly began to catch up on his sleep. Eyebrows raised in amusement, but the blonde took no offense- it was Leyton Thomson 's loss if he didn't wish to participate, not her own. "As you wish," she chuckled, shaking her head before reverting back to her previously neutral expression. Perhaps she'd give him a nice wake up call with a certain weapon she carried, should he not wake in time. Let him sleep now.
The dark dragon that ascended then made quite the entrance for Miss Astoria Zenker . This final visitor was a sight for sore eyes, and one that caused the corners of Claire's lips to curve upward with immediate interest- and look at Nox! All grown up. Click, click, click, went her heels, and Claire gave her perhaps an exaggerated nod in Astoria's direction, ever delighted at the chance to play up.
During the wait, Walter gingerly examined places he'd been struck or otherwise damaged in the earlier battle, though eyes turned to each visitor as they entered. The Lekismon remained on guard for trouble- why Claire had decided to base their operations in Necropolis and recruit such possibly unscrupulous characters ( who else would be attracted to a concept such as the Ringbound? ) was beyond him. At the very least, the Chromiamon shouldn't be here- poor thing probably didn't know what she was getting into- but clearly fellows like Nox would fit right in.
What was Claire thinking?
"Excellent, now that we're all..." Claire trailed off no sooner than her sentence began, noticing the burning sensation on the back of her neck, and the shadows creeping unnaturally about. Though they were in Necropolis, it was clear that there was something very wrong.
Instinctively, Claire drew her sword, though further thought brought the realization that a physical weapon may be ineffective against... shadows. Then the whispers came, an irritating, unnerving sensation even for the Ringbound leader. Blue eyes narrowed and focused on familiar shapes- Digimon recently exterminated and absorbed in battle, surrounding the entire group- an ambush. "Hm."
If Walter had a real heart, it would have been pounding in his chest. He stepped closer to her, eyes wide and head turning in each direction, and his ears swiveling back and forth to gather data in preparation for battle.
The Devimon that leaped for Claire was not a physical form- though Walter tried to strike it, his punch phased through. Claire attempted to counter by striking the figure, though this caused the shadow to split, continuing its path for her- she felt not pain upon impact of the pieces however, but a grip upon what felt like her inner self- almost her heart, but something much more intangible than that.
Of course, she would not be so easy to take.
'Leave me, fiend.' It would not have her- she would fight. While Walter looked on, astonished and horrified, Claire held her position, breathing deeply and gripping her sword tightly- she would not let this foreign beast take her over, though it definitely attempted to, pushing her mind from the inside.
Looking up, Claire noted another voice- a dark figure, bearing the gift of quite welcome advice. Not the leader or the source of the demons, it seemed, but he seemed to wield power over them nonetheless, even expelling the Devimon from her body and all the others in the area as well.
After a very brief pause in which the woman regarded the mysterious being's introduction with interest, she nodded, sheathing her sword and allowing a more relaxed stance. The voices faded as well, thankfully retreating away into the shadows. @nymphnpc - finally, a chance to meet the ruler of this grand area she'd spent so much time in. A short bow of her head was given before speaking. "Very well, and thank you," Head and eyes lifted back up to the powerful Digimon, taking in the details of his form.
A scanning glance was given to each member of the group, gauging reactions and making just a split second of eye contact with each, a small, mischievous smile on her lips. 'It seems things just got interesting.' Plutomon was not someone to fear, at least not for those present- but why should the dark ruler visit the Ringbound, a group that had just got on its feet only recently?
The whole situation reeked of opportunity.
Walter swallowed, filled with dread. Plutomon had just assisted his tamer, yes, but this whole situation put him off.
"Whenever you're ready, sir."
"Claire speech." "Walter speech."

He did not speak upon taking in the sights of the remaining individuals finally arriving. He did not flinch at the sight of the lagomorph sans human. It appeared it did not have one, which made perfect sense. Triton City was full of both humans and Digimon, living together and without each-other. This was their world, so seeing one by itself was nothing to be surprised about.
It spoke, and its words were touched with a feminine voice. The only effect it had on the male human was a simple nod of his head. Margot took her eyes away from his hand, moving over to the bipedal rabbit with a smile. "Hello there! It's quite a pleasure to meet you."
Her kindness put a soft smile on Matthew's face, which quickly faded with the narrowing of his eyes at the next visitor. A younger looking, silver-haired man had opened up with a yawn and salute. The former was terrible presentation, and that only doubled with his next action.
What sort of fool goes to sleep in a meeting? I have half a mind to kick his ass right now, but that would be uncouth of me. He sneered and turned his head to cough it away. The final guest had arrived shortly after the gesture, and with exaggerated performance.
The black dragon's reversion was given a soft look, as was its tamer. Of these new three, only this woman was known by name via the chat logs. Astoria Zenker was her name, and she fit her written mannerisms like a hand to glove.
How strange it was, that only after a few days, Matthew had found his calm again so easily. His posture was proud; both hands were behind his back, left covering the right as it ached. His eyes jumped from one individual to the next, yet his head stayed in place. Heartbeat was normal, and his breathing was a little off.
Physical appearance was one thing, but his mind was full of questions and actions to be given form. He wanted to speak, but as Claire trailed off his hand began to burn. Clenching the back of his appendage, his eyes fell to the ground and he hissed inwardly. His body visibly trembled, yet he curled his toes beneath his shoes and dug his heels to the ground.
His sight was growing hazy with the arrival of ghastly voices. Like an altered voice on the phone, they were incoherent but full of ill intent. They struck Matthew's heart and he took a deep breath, lifting his head and shutting his eyes. Margot turned around after spotting Claire draw her sword, and waddled to her tamer. "Matth-"
A shadow flickered from the plants. It split itself twice and vibrated, rising from the ground. Margot began to move backwards, hiding under the occupied bench of Leyton Thomson and his body. She trembled, looking up every now and then, wondering what was happening. The familiar clanking of iron and wispy breath gave the opposite effect towards Matthew.
With another deep breath, he turned to face the black knight with an unexpected gaze. Both hands were visible and in fists, and his eyes were vacant. His lips parted, but shut as the corner of his blue spheres caught something. CLAIRE LYON was attacked, but her assailant vanished within her own body.
Matthew stepped towards her, freezing place as another voice dominated the area. It put an odd ease to his heart- his right hand lifting to rest on his chest. It spoke of a Mark and soon took form. Focus settled on the back of his hand, but he did his best not to tremble or stare too long at the new being.
"Begone. These mortals are under my jurisdiction." And they did just that. The phantasms retreated, and both Matthew and Margot moved towards Claire.
"My name is Plutomon - the ruler of the Dark Area. Gather yourselves together - and I will begin my explanation of why I have come before you on this day."
How strange it was, that Matthew looked upon him, not with curiosity or fear, but with respect and trust. How normal it was, that Margot was still shaking and looking away.

Leyton's chestnut eyes opened, a booming voice taking his attention from the dream realm. He sat up fro his slouched state, and cracked his neck, before rolling his shoulders backward. His eyes readjusted to the light of the darkened city, "So much for my nap," he mumbled, shaking his head and whipping his hair back "Sorry about that boss I-"
A strange feeling crawled into the pit of Leyton's stomach, not fear, but hunger. A strange hunger, not for food but for... What was it? It was probably nothing but it was strange regardless. Looking back Leyton's eyes widened. Plutomon? The Plutomon? The ruler of this realm no doubt. It'd be rude if Leyton didn't introduce himself accordingly.
The white haired stood up and swiftly took a few steps away from the bench before turning about face to the Plutomon. "Please forgive my rudeness Sire." he took a knee and bowed his head to the dark digimon out of respect. What a terrible first impression he must have made for his leader and the others.
This was going to get him punished for sure, would it be a few lashes? Or a night in some sort of 'hole'. The possibilities were frightening but nothing Leyton couldn't handle. "Though you didn't ask my lord, my name is Leyton, Leyton Thomson."

[attr="class","smdbody"]the young ringbound peered at those whom now populated their immediate surroundings. the lot of them were a diverse bunch - though there was a notable lack of familiar faces. miss belmont pursed her lips in response, inwardly debating if she should politely greet those whom gathered. ah'll keep mah mouth shut fer now, she decided. she did not seek to impress anyone other than that woman who now stood as their leader. yet, she found the dark-haired fellow's - matthew mcdermott , was it? - mannerisms to be oddly befitting; the male was subtle and polite with his approach, and such a display appealed to bell for she had smiled lightly in response. a distinctively small and round digimon would follow, coupled by the appearance of the white-haired man whom she had met several weeks prior. of course he'd decide to rest before the meeting's actual start. her gaze darted toward claire in hopes of gauging her reaction. such actions could be deemed disrespectful, after all. yet, she appeared to tolerate his behavior. and andrea was left to gnaw upon her own lip so to resist that natural urge to voice the dissatisfaction she felt. keep yer mouth shut. keep yer mouth shut. Astoria Zenker had made her entrance moments later. there was a dark flair about the comely woman as she gracefully maneuvered herself among them. even her gazimon captured andrea's focus for a moment before she tugged her single-eyed gaze from the furry beast. it was at that moment a prickling sensation caused her very innards to twist unpleasantly. and she could only blink as she was greeted by the unexpected sight of contorting shadows. her features twisted to reveal her bemusement. "what the actual fuck," she said. her eye was visibly wide, the emotion of fear transitioning into anger as she glared openly at the wisps of gathering darkness. miss belmont's lips curled, revealing her teeth as she stood tall, unwilling to flee from the assortment of wicked beings. as their leader dealt with an invasive shadow the spirit user visibly struggled to assess the situation with a level head. a rising panic was sinking in, urging her to lash out without reason. but... how did one combat shadows when they had so little in their own arsenal? a deep and resounding voice reached her ears, and the redhead found herself blinking owlishly at the digital being whom had made its appearance . she resisted that urge to gape at the sight of the creature, her features simply growing stern as she narrowed her eye at the dark lord; there was an obvious suspicion there. plutomon?claire would soon respond, her eyes glimmering with something that resembled interest. such a feeling was infectious, for the young redhead was soon struck by it as well. "ah..." she licked her lips. "ahem." perhaps it would be best to just to remain quiet?the sight of Leyton Thomson caused her to shake her head with an obvious look of disapproval, her scowl returning as she witnessed the male display absolute submission toward the stranger. he had decided to take a knee, voice tinged with respect as he maintained a leveled tone. andrea refused to commit such an action, especially when no other had done so. she had some semblance of pride, after all. "tch." miss belmont's gaze snapped toward the dark digimon. she tilted her chin slightly upward, a proud look upon her face as she awaited the lord's words. she was no fool - and she had no intention of displeasing claire - so she simply listened. Angeli
SOLO DIGIMON IS OFFLINE
|
Post by Angeli on May 10, 2016 20:44:13 GMT -5
Angeli remained a bit silent as a few more individuals arrived to their little meeting. One was that strange white-haired fellow that she saw back at the gym, she idly wondering if he recognized her. She could not help but glare at him as he fell asleep unceremoniously. He couldn't have just done that somewhere else? Bloody guy was going to get torn to shreds if he didn't perk up quick.
The other individual was a black-haired woman dressed like the night itself, she having stylishly arrived via the back of a Devidramon, he reverting back into a Gazimon. So... that meant that both she and the supposed leader could at least have their partners reach Champion level... What about the others? Oh well... in due time, she hoped to achieve the same, and beyond.
There was a short wait amongst the individuals as they seemed to prepare themselves for the meeting to begin. Angeli dazed off into space as this happened, idly wondering what would be ahead for her should she truly become a member of this... society? Group? She was not honestly sure what else to call it beyond it's name of "Ringbound". A curious name by itself. The lapin-like Digimon almost failed to recognize that she was being talked to, she jumping slightly in shock. She quickly turned around to see that Otamamon, she taking a short breath in relief. "Oh! I apologize. Just was a bit lost in thought." She'd say to the aquatic Digimon, smiling slightly at her. Always nice to see a friendly face she supposed. "You can call me Angeli. Seems like I am the only Digimon here without a partner, huh?"
However, despite it looking like things were about to start, something felt... off in the air. The Chromiamon could not help but feel a bit uncomfortable, as if something were whispering into her very ming. The Rookie level at the ground slightly... staring at a shadow that did not belong to any of those present. Angeli's eyes widened as everyone suddenly found themselves surrounded by the shadowy forms of Digimon, but something was very wrong with them. W-was she hallucinating?! Considering everyone's reaction, that seemed unlikely.
Frankly, Angeli was already terrified. She had not in anyway intended to be fighting so soon! She stared at the shade of a SkullGreymon with utter fear, she not sure what else to think at this time. However, a voice rung across the garden, shredding through any emotions the girl had been feeling like a knife. The Chromiamon stared in utter shock to see a being stand before them, his presense almost immediately causing the phantoms to disperse. She stared at the armored being, noting that this was no human... nor was he any regular Digimon. She listened to each word with one hundred percent of her attention drawn to him, not sure of completely everything he was saying... but in a single, bone-chilling phrase, he sent the remaining phantoms packing.
Angeli felt her very Digicore racing as the being introduced himself as Plutomon... THE Plutomon. This man... was the king of the Dark Area. A Digimon worthy of only the highest respect and honor. The Rookie level shivered slightly, her jaw chattering as she stood still. She was too timid to dare say anything out of respect towards those who were obviously superior to her. She glared further at Leyton, not at all amused by his rather crude introduction. One does not just introduce themself to royalty like that! Especially since unlike miss Claire, he's just as much of a nobody as her! She gritted her teeth as she remained silent, waiting patiently for Plutomon's next words.

[attr="class","horns"] It didn't seem like the meeting would start anytime soon, not with CLAIRE LYON acting strange and matthew mcdermott gripping his arm, wincing in pain. How peculiar! Astoria had an eyebrow arched, distrust and confusion lingering on her facial features. Her head stayed still but her eyes jumped from one creeping shadow to another. They were in Necropolis, the realm of the dead, yet at the bottom of her stomach she felt a kick-- a vibration-- that told her this was more than the city's natural response.
The shadows apparently had another talent; taking forms of dark beings familiar to both the black-haired and the gazimon, surrounding them from every corner like a trap in a dungeon. Astoria remained silent and still, calm even! Shadows... ghost-- they weren't solid enough to deal her any damage or for her to hurt them which was demonstrated by the lovely Claire and Walter. Their attacks proved nothing but a waste of energy, only passing through the ghastly figure. She tilted her head a bit as she crossed her arms; if these things wouldn't touch her then they weren't her enemy.
The German watched the Ringboud leader struggle to keep the phantom from devouring her sanity, scrutinizingly. Would she come victorious? She was a strong- both of mental and physical state- woman but she was up against something different. It was also then when Astoria's heart skipped at an unearthly voice; eerie as it was alluring. A small smile, perhaps even sinister if one looked closer, curled upon her lips as something that seemed so supreme had appeared. However, as she basked in glee and interest, the same couldn't be said for the other digimon and for Nox. At just the very voice and aura of the being he began to tremble, even seeking comfort from his tamer as he pushed himself closer to her. This gestures and reactions were truly interesting! What kind of creature could bring so much terror?
@nymphnpc
One hand reached for a cheek as her other arm remained across her body. Her eyes wandered from the path the dark lord took to the god-man himself, gazing up to him with clear anticipation of his following actions and words.[newclass=.horns]width:418px;height:230px;padding-right:4px;font:12px trebuchet ms;overflow:auto;text-align:justify;line-height:100%;[/newclass] [newclass=.horns::-webkit-scrollbar]width:4px; [/newclass] [newclass=.horns::-webkit-scrollbar]width: 4px;[/newclass] [newclass=.horns::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]width: 10px; background: #000;[/newclass] [googlefont=Oswald]

sweet religion Help me, satan! help me, satan! i've been here so long for the love of god
+ condition: perfect! + passive lich physiology: immune to poisons, bleeds, and gores. 75% reduced damage from darkness. reslient, can resemble. takes triples damage from holy elemental sources. + passive tartarus core: +50% elemental resistance and +25% magical power per undead. + attack none | One by one, the humans and Digimon composed themselves. Mortals were interesting - Plutomon had always taken much interest in them, often meddling in their affairs and exploring their nature while his brothers and sisters grew drunk and ignorant. How each of them reacted to him differently was so very amusing, some remained silent, some clearly shaken with fear, others groveling. Ah yes, that would have to be the first thing he would address.
The caped lich looked down upon the kneeling man, a silver haired mortal whom was resting when he arrived. This sort of stuff was flattering, if anything, and it sort of made him uncomfortable - it wouldn't do. "Get on your feet, mortal, have a little dignity." There would be no punishment or anything of the sort, it certainly wasn't the first time one had reacted in this fashion to him. His attention turned to the blonde - the one who reacted with an answer.
"I was passing through..." Maybe he shouldn't be so casual with these mortals just yet, so he decided to leave out his destination, "...and I picked up on the signature of something that could only come from a forbidden spell." If the hint wasn't enough, the undead Digimon would continue on with this explanation, "One of my forbidden spells." The god man let out a bellowing laugh, somewhat dark and rattling in nature, but yet jolly and amused.
"So that could only mean one thing." He would point a sharpened finger towards Walter and Claire, and then to Matthew. They would feel their marks burn even hotter than before when he did this action, indicating that he did indeed have some form of control over the seals, "The familiar I had given my friend has fallen - but my question is - why do you bear my mark?" He was not a blind ruler, he had noticed their activity in the Dark Area prior to this meeting. They did not seem like heroes, or those who would act recklessly without a cause or reason. "What prompted you to defend the city? It didn't concern you, did it?"
It was a loaded question that he did not expect any of them to be able to answer. "While the sir and madame ponder." He closed his glowing eyes for a brief moment - talking this much was something he wasn't used to doing. He truly could not punish Leyton for napping, as he wished he was doing it himself at this point.
"Astoria, you were also at Triton City at this time, though you were with my dear friend Crow. Perhaps you could fill them in on what really happened that day."

► oh it eats us alive Yes there's a scream inside That we all try to hide We hold on so tight But I don't wanna die |
It seemed she wasn't the only one affected- though no attempt at possession had been attempted on him, matthew mcdermott exhibited signs of being affected by the same as Claire, with more visible signs of distress. Though she had held hers in, she'd been able to see why the reaction. Plutomon's arrival made sure there was no cause for concern. She noted the aforementioned two move closer with a cool glance, returning her focus to the imposing but very welcome dark king.
Walter too, like Margot, looked upon Plutomon with fear, albeit with slightly more ( though not by much ) composure. If he didn't have the sense to know that it would almost certainly trigger an attack, he would be tempted to Digivolve to Magnadramon- granted, to the powerful Digimon he'd still be little more than an insect, but... as it was, his ability to defend Claire seemed so petite, just like how he felt at the moment. Glancing at the other fearful Digimon including Angeli and Margot- even Nox!- he could only hope that they would have the sense to flee should things go sour- he'd have his hands full with Claire, the Lekismon was sure, but he'd hate to see good Digimon and people get hurt for this accursed group!
And yet the woman was calm, quickly recovering from the shadow's invasion to focus on the conversation at hand. Leyton Thomson she even watched with further amusement, an eyebrow raising just slightly- if nothing else, the pathetic, spineless youth was mildly entertaining. Suitable for a footstool, or jester, perhaps.
On the other hand, ANDREA B. BELMONT showed none of that cowardice at Plutomon's arrival. In fact, just the opposite- body language showed pride and interest rather than fear. How spunky! The same with Astoria Zenker , who showed not even a trace of discomfort, almost seeming delighted by the ordeal. Perhaps not so innocent, was she? It wasn't the reaction Claire would have expected from the damsel-like girl when they'd first met.
And then, @nymphnpc began to speak.
So, the demonic shadows had originated from him, yet he hadn't conjured them to attack the Ringbound meeting intentionally. While Claire thought about this fact, Walter could only shiver at the sound of his laugh- though the monarch seemed to be in a fairly good mood, he felt as if the sound shook him to the core. Admittedly, this was probably out of his own fear and no ability of Plutomon's.
Claire winced at the burning feeling on the back of her neck, hand tightening around her sword for support rather than aggression. But she kept her head lifted, fully intending to meet Plutomon's gaze as she answered, waiting until he'd finished speaking.
"For me, it was just because I was asked to," Claire chuckled, almost casually. "Like others, I was called to help defend the city from yet another rampaging Digimon. These sort of jobs aren't so uncommon for me." A shrug. "There was no sense of duty or righteousness involved, if that's what you're thinking."
Now falling silent, and after waiting for Matthew's response should he intend to give one, she turned to Astoria- it seemed she'd encountered something remarkable at Triton City! The very same SkullGreymon had appeared to be headed for. There was curiosity in Claire's words and smile as she addressed the young lady, head tilting somewhat and meeting green eyes now."Go on, dear. It sounds like you had quite the adventure," her words came out a purr- she was genuinely interested in what would come next.
"Claire speech." "Walter speech."
