That was something to be agreed upon. If nature shifts, mankind will do the same in the eyes of nature. If mankind shifts, nature will respond in kind, albeit unseen to the sentient apes that were humans. What was a human, anyway? Science and evolution granted man and woman the ability to think deeply, express concerns and ideas vocally, and ultimately become something more than just a homosapien. Religion was essentially the same, with miracles in place of fact. God created man first and foremost, and animals soon after. Or were animals made from Lucifer? How or why these thoughts invaded Matthew's mind was unclear, as all his attention was focused to the back of his right hand. There was warmth, comfort and calm seething into his pores and easing whatever pains ailed him at that moment. A flash of blood on a kitchen floor turned to drink as the body it came from lapped it up, sealing their wounds. It was strange, how that body he had forgotten found itself with a name tag in his eyes. Margot had shivered, clawing at Matt's pant leg. The trance was broken, and he lifted her up, holding her chest and stomach to his. No words were spoken, only a soft pet from his hand soothed her. His book was ignored, his back to the Hound still. "Now that we are in alliance - I have bestowed a blessing upon the each of you. This will give you the power to call upon me for help at any point in time, simply by thinking it. It should also help you ward off ghosts, and will prevent your mind from being read and your body from being possessed. This spell grants you absolute ownership of your own body."" Unnecessary. Undoubtedly so. Humans had total control over their mind and body, unless a virus or possession was currently considering them a host. Science had the means of keeping a disease at bay until an antidote was formulated. Religion and faith kept demons away, and prayer attacked them like claymores dipped in chernips. The mental link was trivial. An audience with a hound seemed like a perfect set-up for a Divine Comedy, though Matthew found it rather amusing. Talking to God was one thing, but nobody ever had tea with the Devil. Margot had yawned, shifting so that her claws gently held Matthew's shoulders, and her eyes closed. His petting stopped, and he turned around to watch Plutomon depart. Leyton Thomson 's final words granted a raised brow, and he never noticed CLAIRE LYON looking at him. The shadows had still moved, returning to normal only shortly after. His own body felt unhinged as he looked down at his earthbound doppelganger. He lifted his left leg up, and so did his shadow. "I'll be taking my leave now- but if any of you wish to speak further, do not hesitate to contact me." And so she left, and so did his statement. She alone knew him. She alone, perhaps, understood his intentions. Was she scared? Was she happy, or was she simply not allowing herself to get involved? He shook his head, dusting away those questions as he began to leave for the Trailmon Station, a sleeping Margot in hand. "I'll be returning to Triton. Contact me via the network if needed." exit | feliz seria que hora the ringbound hound of blood and rank MADE BY VEL OF GS |
