Sets enemies on fire if they attack with melee. 1 posts. 2CD. + card Plugin Adrenaline: 100% power. 1 post. + attack monkey see monkey do. 2cd. | The area was getting quite cramped, with all the players assembled. One for one, almost like it had all been planned out beforehand. However, the room started to slowly clear, first with Neptunemons dissolution into a pile of Data, and then with Hummingbird and Katsuro leaving. He watched Iscariot attempt to take the Hackmon out of the tower as well, which, if it succeeded, would leave just Kong and the Devidramon in there.
Along with this other person. The tinkermons tamer, he assumed. The tall blond man that was wielding the katana. He had a certain air around him, a regal sense that showed that he was used to people listening to his orders. Not only that, but the way he presented himself had a sort of arrogance to it, as if he was already a god, and that he could be as sloppy as he wanted.
Kong could deal with this Devidramon himself. And the girl seemed to be content to lean there and do nothing. So he may as well go and talk to this person. He listened to the little speech, his eyes watching the sword. After he realized there was no intent to attack, he wandered over to the man.
"I think I would prefer neither of those options, actually. Though I am quite curious about a few things, if you don't mind me asking." He would adjust his glasses, and look the man in the eye. "I'm assuming you intend to take over Triton City, and, by the looks of it, this plan of yours is going extremely well so far. But do you really expect the other Olympus XII to sit back and let this happen?"
His eyes would widen slightly, as he realized a grave error he had committed. "Where are my manners. My name is Jeremiah, it is nice to meet you, Mr..?"
While that exchange was taking place, Kong would continue his rush towards the Devidramon. The flaming monkey, however, would not reach his destination, instead stopping midway as the Devidramon smiled, his glowing eyes tearing deep into his soul, bringing up terror and horror long since hidden. Kong would be too petrified to move, however, he would not by outdone, and while the Devidramons eyes were locked onto his, he would activate another of his abilities.
As Monkey See Monkey Do came into effect, Kongs Visor glowed a deep crimson, mirroring the effect of Devidramons Red Eyes. A small victory, but one none the less, hopefully keeping the Devidramon locked down while Kong couldn't move either.

Astoria's attention was stolen by the Neptunemon, eyes gleaming as she watched the once mighty king of the south dissolve into binaries and vanish to nothing. His fading voice- last of his being- sounded nothing but a beautiful melody to the dark-haired's ears. Who ever said that a girl couldn't enjoy her work? It was true that she was hired to fill in a spot, to make sure that plans would push through, but that little act was just too much. It made her heart skip a beat.
As the battle proceeded, with each taking their fights to wherever, the spectacled blonde walked in a rather calm manner to the direction of Crow. Astoria wouldn't lie; that was certainly a slap on the face. Was the fight she was giving not entertaining enough? But then again, who would be interested to watch a pair of monsters staring at each other.
It seemed like the boy and his pet monkey had more tricks up their sleeves. They found a way to stop Nox, the devidramon freezing as the Targetmon did, much to her chagrin. But, no matter. So her plans deviated a little from what she originally had in mind but the whole idea was still in play: to keep the enemy still, hopefully until the flames came off. She wouldn't be expecting a lot this time, however. In case Nox failed to meet what she had in mind, she was ready for a comeback. She had a plan B... which is basically just plan A with a few tweaks.
Her eyes then landed on the boy for a moment, examining him, before she shifted them to the Sealsdramon and Troopmon nearby. With no words and little noise, Astoria took a step back and patiently waited for the outcome of this round.

I'VE KEPT THE MOVIE ROLLIN' "The battle of Thermopylae. My lord is a fan of Greek history - I'm personally very fond of the battles." The Hive scoffed and snarled, raising its weapon and levelling it at the Angewomon, watching as its stingers flew beneath her wing and embedded themselves in the brickwork backdrop behind them. "We would invite you to remember that the Spartans lost at Thermopylae, pawn." The Hive begun to charge energy into its cannon; the Trident Revolver was shifting into action, its mechanised inner workings slotting into place. "Perhaps history will retell itself here!"
"I assume you are finished preparing. You're going to wish I killed you!" As she finished speaking, she let loose a burst of incandescent prismatic energy and the Hive pulled the trigger in panic. It had not lead or aimed properly, but simply reacted in the wake of the retaliatory attack; it was a poor counter, and one that would only strike the Angewomon with luck. There was no time to dodge; the recoil knocked the Hive into the path of the God Hand, and they didn't even see it coming. Their foresight was clearly not adept enough. The only indicator of the attack was a flash; then pain. The Hivemind was wracked, a black, sizzling gash through the left pauldron, and a significant tear through the bottom of their wings. They dipped in a hover before stabilising himself, wincing. They spun to match the predicted path of the Angewomon's movement, trying to track her as the Hive charged up the cannon again. It spun in mid-air, ready to fire... "YOU WILL--" Empty space. And then they felt it. The Angewomon had outsmarted them. Her tactics had led her here, where she raised her claws and hacked through the back of the Stingmon's torso exoskeleton. Their wings strained and fluttered erratically, before stopping altogether; the Hive groaned and fell limp, its form drifting in and out of conscious. The Hivemind had not fully wrested control of its power yet -- perhaps a few moments more, its agility would have been a blessing, its reflexes allowing it to sidestep. The orange eyes glistened under the beating Triton City sun; the tissue-paper wings stopped fluttering altogether. The Hive fell into the streets below, and the Stingmon's body landed with a dull, resounding thud. The Angewomon would scarcely be able to hear it. Neptunemon's final words reached Sawyer's ears a little too late. The hackmon had believed he'd saved the only real hero here... But he hadn't even broke through those damned cuffs. Neptunemon began to disolve into data before the collective eyes of everyone gathered. Sawyer, still quite new to the world, had never seen such a thing. Not in real life. He felt tears well up in his eyes. He'd failed Neptunemon. He'd failed Elisabeth. He failed to even get the attention of that harpy in angel's clothing, which in turn led her to soundly beating the bugman that had been here with them.
The brave little digimon grit his teeth in sadness and anger over his failings as the data of neptunemon washed over him, and the nearby plaguemon. He felt a surge of power as this data flowed into him, carrying the last vestiges of the once great Olympian. "I... I will... I will avenge you..." her hiss under His breath as he felt the raw power flow through him. His mourning however would have to wait, as several things happened quite quickly.
First, the laguemon that he's thought was by his master, had cloned himself and appeared right by the heroic fool. His cane was once again posed to attack, this time moving to strike out at metal Dragon. His anger and sadness filling him up to burst! The afflicted digimon would rush toward the vile viral villain, his claws and teeth brought to bear against this foe. "Fifth Rush!" he'd cry out in fury and sorrow, entering the game's striking range, only to endure the hits so that he could land his own. Not terribly tall, the little Dragon clawed and slashed at his opponent's legs. The series of attacks was surely a shoe in to hit at such a close range. However, following this short exchange of blows the hackmon would find his vision getting a little blurry. His stomach churned and he quickly spit out his mouth a splash of his data, the virulent virus of rot working its way through his code was finally gaining ground. While Hackmon stared down at the fading pool of his life force he'd just coughed up, yet another person joined them. His words made Sawyer's metaphorical blood burn.
Elizabeth eyes the newest addition to the rogues gallery that had slowly expanded since Her arrival. She didn't much care for the death of a digimon. Surely neptunemon would be reborn, and why should she waste the tears on a mass of code anyway? Still, Sawyer seemed to be taking it rather bad, not only that but he wasn't looking so good. Something must have happened before, a poison perhaps? Was it due to the data he'd just absorbed? Regardless, this was their fight to lose. The latest arrival spoke of The return of some group the "shin sekai". Shed commit the name to memory, slowly easing her way toward Jerimiah. They needed to go. Now. This fight was a lost one, yet the D.A.T.S benefactor still moved to investigate the new comer. Yes, they both did have the same sort of commanding, confident posture. It was something the the three of them shared. Still, this was no time to let curiosity prevail over safety.

The avian like Digimon gave a soft sigh, taking off his hat and placing it on top his chest in a rather solemn manner. The king was dead, finally. He had returned to his original state and that was perhaps the most beautiful thing he had the privilege to witness that day. At least that was until he saw the Hackmon try to to assimilate the king's data, a feeling of dread filling him over. That data was meant to rot. Iscariot snapped his head angrily at the Hackmon, raising his cane to beckon the data closer to him as he would attempt to assimilate it for himself, therefore properly disposing of it. Of course, his opponent would naturally try to attack in what appeared to be a technique of random swiping. How...distasteful. The Champion took a few hits from the flurry, mostly making use of his cane and arms to ensure that most of the blows didn't strike any soft spots, though a few managed to strike his torso and one landed on his beak, causing it to bent rather awkwardly on the side. That was enough. Now extremely angry, Iscariot would suddenly split his 'beak' in two, revealing it to actually be his mouth. Several rows of sharp, pointed teeth would be visible before he would practically vomit a swarm of locusts at the Hackmon in front of him, all of which would swarm around the Digimon and attempt to fester on his data, seemingly attracted by his earlier plague. "INFESTATION!"The battle shouldn't last much longer now. Iscariot was begining to grow impatient, and if this resumed, he would be forced to use more drastic measures. At least the mission was somewhat completed. Or so it seemed. ____________________________________________________________________________ INFESTATION - Iscariot unleashes a stream of locusts from his mouth after unhinging his beak to in an unnatural manner. Enemies caught in the swarm are damaged. Enemies marked by DATA ROT take increased damage. eris of gs

+ attack --- | She felt her claws rip through exoskeleton, her attack making contact with the spirit user. There was truly nothing that gave her a more intense simultaneous feeling of stratification and dissatisfaction. There was truly nothing more she loved than to gore an enemy upon her talons, but at the same time, she had always hoped that they would live up to the talk they gave before the fight. A true fight - an earned kill - it had been a while since she had felt that, and it would not come today, either. "Repose en paix, cafard." The Angewomon spoke to herself as she witnessed the insect fall from the sky, following up by continuing their earlier conversation, "It is a shame you were no Xerxes." She thought about finishing him off, but remembered her master's earlier order to try to not kill the opposition, sans Neptunemon. It was a shame, because if she could not achieve the thrill of battle, she at least expected to feel the thrill of murder. She fluttered her elegant wings, watching as a streak of fire traveled through the air and into a nearby slum, exploding in a violent impact. Somebody obviously failed to deflect a few projectiles. Reckless children.
The battle was going just as planned - there was no way that Iscariot or Astoria could be defeated by weaklings such as these. Something was interesting about the lot of them, at least to Crow. Well, three of them, anyway. He had already known about Iscariot, he being a contact he had for many years, though perhaps they never dealt so directly before. His attacks certainly were interesting, and were something to take note of. Biological warfare - it was dangerous, even if on one's side. He would be watched. Now, the three of interest - the fallen hero outside, the dark lady, and finally, the man in control of the monkey. They were meant to be a part of something greater - he could simply feel it when an individual had potential. They could be...potential recruits, after a little assimilation and molding. Crow would first walk over to Astoria, casually leaning against the wall next to her, only casually looking at her in the corner of his eye. She reminded him of somebody - a former comrade whom he held rather dear. Detached and cruel, there were truly no better qualities in a woman's personality. "Astoria, right? The German language is beautiful - no other displays such power in tone." His own accent was European, but one wouldn't be able to discern exactly from where. "This mission was no issue for you or your partner, but everybody needs a first job." He would take forth a card from his pocket, sliding it to the green eyed woman. It was a simple playing card - the King of Hearts - one of his personal treasures. It was a strange token of appreciation, though it wasn't entirely useless. Certain Digimon would grant her privileges simply upon seeing this card, though that would be explained later on. "I'd be more than happy to have your permanent employment." He watched her Devidramon fight - it wasn't very experienced, but it certainly was admirable. He wished to see it in action against a worthy opponent. Before he was finished speaking to Astoria, the third person of interest, the one in control of the Monmon, had approached him. What nerve and audacity! This very mannerism made Crow smile - it had truly been a long time since one had simply approached him like they had entitlement. Furthermore, he proceeded to gamble with the options given to him, saying that he would like neither. "They call me Crow, Jeremy." He purposely got his name wrong in a show of disrespect, "You're assuming the other eleven will even turn an eye to this." He still leaned against the wall next to his ally, "They have grown lazy. Peace isn't good for your body or the economy. We need war. You're an outsider - I have lived here for many years." There was a passion in his voice, this topic clearly having some weight to him, "The world has become tainted to the very core with sin - and we must be the means to purify it. This is our final solution." The casually dressed samurai drew his blade at an alarmingly fast pace - showing that he had many years of skill behind using it. Within seconds, the point of the weapon was only a few millimeters away from Jeremiah's throat. "I've given you a choice. You cannot fight me at this point. You are soft, comfortable, just like Neptunemon - you are not a fucking warrior."
Hummingbird did not care about the fate of the heroes outside, or even the fate of her undead allies. They were disposable pawns that were destined to die for their master and cause. She instead turned her attention back to the tower where her tamer still resided, along with the other members of the defense force. In a delicate manner, she softly hovered back to the window she had broken out of, stepping around the broken glass. Ironically, the stained glass window had once depicted an angelic Digimon, and she at this moment was standing in the same pose as the art once depicted. "He didn't even scream - disappointing." Though her eyes weren't visible, she would look to the monkey Digimon, and then to the Hackmon, "Maybe one of you will? I'm getting bored." She held out a hand - her talons fading away, but now being replaced by a longsword constructed from the same laser-like material. The angel did not expect to have to use it - Iscariot seemed to have been making short work of the draconian Rookie, and surely that ape stood no chance against a Devidramon. Where were the real heroes? The sight of his Digimon seemed to calm down the leader, as he lowered his blade once more. "No need, they've already lost." He looked at Astoria again before stepping away from the wall and towards his Digimon, speaking to her, "Go fetch that piece of trash you took out - I think we can recycle it." He couldn't just leave that thing in the streets, after all. The first thing he planned on doing with this city was enforcing a very strict "no littering" law. Seriously, it was getting out of hand. "Very well." She did not argue - being bored of this situation in general at this point. She was only outside for what seemed like seconds, returning with the crippled body of the Stingmon. "Are we done yet? Because the more I look at that monkey, the more I want to rip its face off." She spoke directly to the Monmon in a disturbing manner, causing her partner to finish up. "Now, Jerry, my friends will escort you and your partner out." With the order, the Sealsdramon and Troopmon would appear behind both Jeremiah Regis and Liz , pointing their weapons at them and guiding them to the door. "Make sure to tell the world that Shin-Sekai has returned and everything you saw here." He walked away from Jeremiah, as he was now at this point in time, detained. "Oh, and your friend might want to see a doctor - that rot has got to be feeling pretty awful." He laughed to himself, knowing that there was truly no cure for Iscariot's diseases. It was truly ironic how they would play a part in the cure for this world. | © seadra of gs |

+ attack monkey see monkey do. 1cd. | Jeremy. How rude. a brazen display of disrespect, childish even, something that Jeremiah wasn't going to bother responding to. Such low quality bait would be a waste of energy. He stayed quiet and listened to what the man said. He was well aware that as a newcomer to the digital world, he was not completely aware of everything happening, and he knew that no one could rule perfectly. The heat in his voice, something that could only come from years of deep feelings built up about this particular subject, made his words come off as very convincing, even if Jeremiah didn't completely agree with him.
Though, he didn't completely disagree. Peace does weaken the world, and the economy does benefit from warfare, from the winning side at least. Though, the final part came off as the ramblings of a madman. Tainted to the core with sin? Purify it? Crow made it sound as if he was the next Jesus Christ, coming to save the world from it's own evil. A typical warmongerer, a man with power who used it recklessly. If it suited him, it didn't matter what happened to others. Typical.
His musings were cut short when the blade flicked out and pointed at his throat. A quick step back, a fleeting look of fear on his face, small signs that showed his inexperience, proving Crows words right. He was not a warrior. Though he was not soft. He fought in his own way, and Crow would find that out eventually. When the moment of fear passed, he put his finger on the side of the blade, pushing it away as though it was a small nuisance. The blade was lowered anyway, when the Angewoman flew back in, Jeremiahs attempt at regaining a small amount of dignity diminished even further.
"Crow. Fitting. Because if what you have said is true, you are nothing but a Carrion bird, feasting on the swollen corpses of the twelve to fuel your own hunger for power. But justify it as you want. I am sure I will be seeing more of you around, along with this... Shin Sekai you are talking about."
Before the Sealsdramon and Troopmon would detain him, he would turn towards Astoria, giving her a small, slightly sarcastic bow. "It was a lovely staring battle my dear, hopefully we shall be able to conclude it in a less..." He waved one hand around to emphasize his next words, pointing out all the members that were quite obviously not planning on letting their battle finish. "...Biased environment."
He then proceeded to put his hands up in mock arrest, letting the Digimon surround him. A click of his fingers, and Kong looked away from the Devidramon, devolving back into Monmon and bounding over to Jeremiah. "Come, Elizabeth, we have been thoroughly beaten today." He let himself be led out, glancing over his shoulder. "'Twas a pleasure, Mr. Vulture."

The metal dragon digimon heard the irritation in his opponent's voice. Even has data rot inflicted its last bit of damage, he knew he'd gained a personal victory over the champion. The creature opened its mouth and Sawyer would continue to make a nuisance of himself. With a swift, stylish flourish, the hackmon spun, his cape glowing freely and wildly. The locust swarm would come in contact with the cloth but just as soon as they reached the digital fabric Sawyer would wrap the swarm up with the momentum of his spin, the cape detaching from around his neck. "Trick cape!" he'd shout smugly, using the diversion to reorient himself for another attack. Before he could however, Crow's cronies stepped in.
Elizabeth had expected a monologue. The villains always had one right? She supposed this "Crow" character had earned it. He had after all done a great deal of nothing. For a man who claimed to be a warrior, a for fight seemed to a convey he hadn't grasped. Oh well. Hardly her problem. She'd been making her way out anyway, so as it were, his sudden stroke of mercifulness worked in their favor. The man retrieved his sword and brandished it at her boss. It only took one person to send a message... Thankfully he didn't take that option. His minions detained the group of defenders and Elizabeth remained silent. They had lost. What use was there in wasting bravado?
Sawyer however, was not so wise. Even as the victors "escorted" them out, he would turn to face crow and his occupying forces. " Y-You're a coward! You poisoned him! Y-You didn't even give... Liz would lay her hand on her partner's head as they were made to leave."Sawyer..." she's say patiently, her voice having no effect on the clearly dying digimon. You hid in the shadows! You're no warrior! You're... You're just a rat! A-a... Yeah! What he said! A car ion! We... We might be weak now, b-but just you wait! We'll get stronger! You think you've won but as long as... As long as... Uhmmm... We-We'll-!" the hackmon, though foolishly brave, was also quite immature. Lacking wisdom or experience. Specifying was not his strong suit."You'll never win as long as-!" he began again, only to be silenced by a loud stomp from Elizabeth as they were moved to the door. "Sawyer!" the vixen would shout, giving her damaged digimon a dire glare. "Thank you." was all she said to the leader of the conquering team before she and Jimmy were led out of the city hall. She took a long drag of air in, noticing the damage that had been done while the two were in there. It could have been much worse, considering... She gave Jerimiah a pat on his shoulder and a fierce, determined look. Now that they were alone. "We'll get them next time... When the odds aren't stacked against us." She'd say less as a means to console her teammate's injured pride, and more as a statement of fact, before she scooped up the ailing hackmon, and took her leave of the digital world.

OOPS, YOU SAW MY HORNS they're really not halo, just horns Hidden behind an angelic facade; oh how silly, you fell for my lies. It's funny, the joke's on you. Can you hear my laughter? Can you hear my voice? You danced with the devil, now you must pay the price. Nothing can save you now. [attr="class","horns"] The movement of the sword caught Astoria's attention; her optics glues to the tip, glittering as the weapon's point did upon the touch of light. The corners of her lips were slightly pulled, her gaze wandered towards Jeremiah and she was quite in time to see that little spark of fear in his face. My, what a lovely. The next time they crossed paths, she'd be the one to pull out that look from him.
Soft sounds of wings slapping against the air could be heard from the background and not any longer did the Angewomon had appeared. She stood with grace, power and beauty yet the most charming, and most eye-catching, trait was her wickedness. The German would turn around as her employer did, meeting his eyes and nodding gently at him before looking down at the card he had given him. The King of Hearts; an iconic and scandalous member of the deck of cards, known as the Suicidal King. She smirked. No, she didn't mind working for this king.
Astoria lifted her chin upon Crow's order to send the others out. At least, she should see Jeremiah off and that's when he faced her, giving her slight bow. The green-eyed tilted her head, one hand cupping her cheeks and smile pulled to a condescending smirk "ebenfalls," German words left her mouth smoothly like silk "likewise," She translated; a thing that became a habit since moving to New York "In a less biased environment." The word biased emphasized-- the place was also very unsuitable, in her opinion. She just couldn't let Nox destroy the whole place plus she still had an identity to protect so going all out was a terrible idea.
She watched silently as both the tamers were led out by the digimon. Her eyes narrowing at the woman and her hackmon's back for a moment before turning to Crow and Hummingbird. She raised the card, clamped between her index and middle fingers, with the king's illustration facing the pair "Nox and I are very happy to be of your service," Until she finds someone much powerful, her loyalty would belong to him.
