An Unexpected Catch [Social, Odette]

Sable hummed as she sat on the edge of the main platform, legs dangling over the sides as he looked out at the view of the ocean. Behind her, the old oil rig was bustling with activity. Hyde had managed to get a crew in to fix the place up, patching up any bits of rust, as well as carting out some of the old machinery that wasn't going to be of use. She could hear her tamer calling out instructions to the workers, telling them where to place this and that, and what to get rid of.

The little digimon had to admit. She liked how things were progressing. The oil rig looked in decent enough condition when they found it, but now it was going to be even better. A proper base of operations for the Wild Cards. It was also good to see Hyde focusing his efforts on something constructive. After Weiss died...

The little Pawn Chessmon looked down somberly. Ever since her brother died, Hyde had seemed to become a different person. Focused on rage, on revenge. Sure, she was angry for the loss of her brother too...but seeing Hyde like that... That was why she was happy for the Wild Cards. Hyde could focus his efforts on that. Build something that could make a difference for the world. It was rather uplifting to think about.

Odette's eye looked up at the sky, as she felt the breeze against her skin and making her hair flow back. Her and her soul digimon felt as if it was time to be at the beach, enjoying some time away from the family. Her white dress-coat would slowly disappear, as her body would follow. Afterwards her body would soon disappear into water-sparkling glimmers. With a simple poof she would form into her spiritual form, Chiwamon. ''Hah!~'' she spoke while appearing. She would slowly float down from the air and onto the ground. 'Let's go have a long float, shall we?' she questioned Odette. She nodded as Chiwa's form was now hers.

She remembered the day that she met Chiwa, changing her life forever. Her eyes looked forward as she stepped upon the waters. Each step she would walk on water like some god. ''Oddly...this feels weird. Since I'm a human walking on water.'' she spoke in her Chiwa-like voice. Chiwa's voice is somewhat like a little girls voice; sweet, soft and happy unless she is down. Even when she becomes flustered and angry, she gets a small cute squeak that blurts out within her voice. Odette sometimes enjoying being in her spiritual form, she would be able to look through both of her eyes. Did she miss her eyes? Who wouldn't? It felt more humane to not have a flower as an eye, to be able to cry and to feel things. She didn't feel human at all, unlike her sister.

As she continued to walk through the cold waters, she would look forward. 'It looks like construction! We should go check it out, Odette!' Chiwa cheered in her squeaking-girly voice. Nodding simply, Odette walked forward more so they were close enough to watch. She didn't want to get close enough to be seen as she didn't want to cause trouble. Her blue water eyes would look at the digimon who looked like a chest piece. 'He looks funny! Maybe he's nice.' she started to say and then saw humans. 'I'm not sure about them though...' she spoke worrisome. Odette would look at her surroundings. 'They seem to be just there to construct...but what?' she calmly asked Chiwamon within her thoughts.

Slowly she would swiftly get closer as she would surf forward. Making a surfer from water she would go towards the chess-looking piece till she landed on dry land. It seemed somewhat peaceful, therefore she would continue up a little closer hiding behind a large metal construction bar. She would peek from behind it as she somewhat hovered over the dry land, watching.

Hyde had been too busy, focusing on giving instructions to the construction crew, but Sable did indeed notice something in the water. From high up, she couldn't really see what it was, but it had closed in on the Deck, and seemed to disappear, moving out of sight. Now this was curious. Sable figured there would be some aquatic digimon. She had seen a seadramon, a whamon, even a surfmon once in a while, but they simply ignored the place and kept on going. But this was different. It seemed like something very small was approaching the old oil rig. Curiosity got the better of the little digimon as she stood up and began walking over to where she had last seen, whatever it was.

As she walked along the edge, she couldn't see any sign of whatever it was she had seen. Did it go under the rig? Did it just swim away? Or was she just seeing things? The little chessmon shrugged and turned around to walk back to Hyde.

And then she saw it. A small form, peeking out from behind a large girder, watching the construction crew. She didn't look like one of the workers. Who was she? Slowly, the Pawn Chessmon approached her. "Erm, hello there?" she spoke up.

Odette continued to watch, her eyes looking around at the pretty sight. She knew that this obviously had to be some type of building, but what kind? She heard yelling making her head tilt up, appear more than ever and looked at the person. Their hair was long, black and silky-looking like a woman's conditioned hair. The person had to be a guy as he was super flat chested. The only other thing she could notice, due to him turned away was that, he was tall. 'Should we go introduce outselves?~' Chiwa questioned inside Odette's thoughts. Odette was somewhat thinking, looking around leading back to seeing the digimon and the guy. Her face somewhat blushed as the chibi looked at the guy.

Quickly looking away she would then look at the Chessmon. 'What is that digimon?' Chiwa questioned within her mind. 'It's a Pawn Chessmon..' Odette answered calmly. Her blue eyes would look down at it as she would hover a little in front of the digimon after hearing it say hello. Silently the Chiwa-Odette would study the digimon and wonder if the man that was perhaps yelling, was its tamer. ''Are you his?'' she questioned in a girly-fashion way due to using Chiwa's voice. She stared at the guy with the long black hair, wondering. Afterwards she would then look at the chessmon and float down to sit on the ground, looking up at the digimon. ''May I know what kind of building is being built here and for what?'' she questioned next as she would then stare at the digimon, curious.

The little digimon didn't appear to be spooked by Sable coming up behind her, as she turned around and floated over towards her. When she gestured to Hyde, asking if he was her tamer, the Pawn Chessmon nodded. "That's right. I'm Sable, and that over there is my tamer, Hyde." Then came the question of just what this place was. "Well, it WAS an old oil rig, long since abandoned," Sable explained, "But we're now rebuilding it to be our base of operations. The boss and I are starting a, well, company of sorts, and this is where we're setting up shop." Sable looked at the small aquatic digimon. "Now, the question is, just who are you?" I thought I saw you in the water below. Most aquatic digimon just pass on by. You're probably the first to actually stop and take a look."[/b]

Odette looked at the digmon as she wondered on what their response will be. Odette would watch the

man with the black long hair as she would wait. Should she do something for him to notice or should she leave him alone? After a couple moments she would hear that his name was Sable, the guy over there was Hyde. ''Hy-de? Hyde... It's nice to meet you, Sable.'' she spoke happily and twirled making little particles of water fly around her. After stopping she would look at the building. ''A base?~ For what?'' she questioned in a thinking position. She wasn't so sure on for what, but she knew a lot about buildings (everything) as well as other things. Slowly she would then float in her water bubble and take a closer peek on what he was pointing at as he gave instructions on what to do. 'It seems riveting...' she spoke calmly within her thoughts. 'Wonder what style and formation he will make...' she thought once more as she calmly looked with her eyes, not wanting to move any more. Odette didn't want to alarm the guy, but if he noticed her, she would keep herself calm, although looking like her own adorable chibi form.

"Well, for a mercenary organization," Sable explained, "We're only just starting out, but with Hyde's planning and leadership, we're going to be big!" Sable bounced, a little excited, before she noticed the little water sprite slowly floating up towards Hyde. "H-Hey! Wait a minute! Where are you going?"

Though unintentional, Sable's shouts drew Hyde's attention. Who was his partner talking to? The one eyed man glanced over, before something caused him to turn his attention skyward. Floating in the air, looking at him, was a very, very small little girl, sitting on what appeared to be a bubble. Needless to say, it was a rather strange sight, and seeing that she was calmly staring at him was also a little unnerving. "Erm...can I help you?" he spoke up to the strange little water sprite.

As she floated up towards Hyde, she could hear the digimon still talking to her. Odette listened to every word of course, but she was interested in the building. Her curiosity grew and without her knowledge, it was about to grow even more. She saw the man with long girly black hair turn, seeing her. Her eyes of blue oceans would grow, her watery flowing hair would continue to wave, like the very ocean itself. On her bubble she looked at the mans face, studying him. 'He seems like a serious guy.~' Chiwa spoke with a girly giggle. 'Indeed, but what the hell is he wearing?' Odette thought calmly and coldly, scanning his outfit. It was interesting and she has never seen it in Paris.

Paris was full of fashion of weird, beautiful and all, but she has never seen this. Her eyes widened as she saw his eye patch and his arm, making her looks a little downward to the one looking fake. 'I know a fake arm when I see one...' she thought as she had her own fake arm... Odette would wonder then on why he was wearing some eyepatch. 'Is it for fashion or...' she thought once more and then sighed. She listened to him ask on how he could help her. ''M-me?~ I was watching and was curious on what style of building you're making!~'' she happily spoke in a girly-tone due to being in Chiwa's form. She turned a little with her bubble to watch the guys build. ''It seems very interesting. You're not going to build it with wood, are you?'' she questioned in a teasing manner and giggled. Slowly turning she would look at Hyde, making her blush and shy in which is hidden.

Well, this was certainly interesting. A little water sprite that was interested in construction? Hyde would see Sable come out from behind some girders, running up to him. "S-Sorry boss! I just saw her come up to the rig. I don't think she means any harm!" Hyde nodded, absently petting the Pawn Chessmon on her head. "I don't think she is either," he replied, his eye continuing to look up at her. "To answer your first question," Hyde explained to their little visitor, "We're building a sort of, military installation you could call it. Thankfully a lot of the old parts of this place are in good condition. Living quarters, mess hall, even an infirmary. Just needs to be cleaned up and repaired. Might expand on it a bit. Put in some training areas for the troops. and to answer your second question, of course I'm not making it out of wood. Mostly steel, with perhaps plaster for the interior, just for looks you know. I'm new to this whole construction deal. I prefer making smaller things."

Some of the workers were noticing the little one, but most of them were continuing with their work. They had a job to do after all. "Now then," Hyde spoke up, "Would you mind coming down here and telling me who you are?"

She looked at Hyde, listening to what he had to say. He was talking about what he was going to make the building with, none in which seemed to be wood. She nodded as she listened to him more, trying to not get shy nor embarrassed. He wondered about her, making her feel warm and shy. 'He...wants to know about me? Is it because I'm in your form?' Odette questioned coldly and calm within her thoughts. 'Well, turn back to your normal self, find out!~' Chiwa cheered happily. Odette looked left and then right within the form of Chiwa. Gripping her left arm with her right hand, all nervous. ''I...I am a spirit wielder...'' was all she said while staying in her rookie form. She wasn't so sure on showing her real self...

Hyde tilted his head to the side. A spirit wielder huh? He was no stranger to those, though he'd never seen one so small before. And was that nervousness she was showing? She had been so calm before. It was almost kind of cute. Hyde couldn't help but give a small smile. "You seem to have some interest in construction. Why not come down here and help out? I don't mean any heavy lifting of course. I mean help out with the directing and planning." It wouldn't hurt to have a second brain working on this. He wanted this place to be the most secure base in the digital world, and it wouldn't do if he made any oversights. Sable moved over to Hyde's side, looking up at the water sprite to see how she would react. She noticed the little one still hadn't given her name yet.

Odette looked at Hyde then as she would hear him talk about the construction. He offered for her to come down there and help out. Her head tilted and wasn't sure if he was serious. 'Haha, I don't think he knows who he's dealing with.~ Silly men.' Chiwa spoke, giggling. Odette wasn't so sure on rather or not to take the offer. She did know a lot about housing, security and probably a lot more than he did. It was tempting, but she wanted to make sure. Smiling sweetly and twirling on her bubble, she would come down, look at him curiously and speak. ''Are you suuuuure you want the real me to come out and help?~'' she asked in a happy singy-tune. She knew how exactly how she was going to turn out. Her cold, dominant being would go around ordering the workers right off the bat.

Hyde rose an eyebrow as the little spirit wielder approached him, asking in a little happy tune whether he really wanted her help. What was the worst that could happen? "Yes, I'd like the real you to come out tinkerbell," Hyde replied. It would probably be easier talking to someone his own size, than the tiny little water sprite in front of him. Sable watched on in interest. So far the little sprite seemed strange. Calm and controlled one moment, shy the next, and then playful the moment after that. Just what sort of person was this wielder? And honestly, it couldn't be much worse than some of the other people Hyde recruited to the group. Hyde crossed his arms, waiting for her response.

Odette would slowly look back and forth between Hyde and the construction. It was true that he probably could use someone else to help him out. Did she really want to reveal her real self to help? 'You should really help this guy!~ You never knooow, you could live here.' Chiwa spoke happily. It was true on what she said, which made her do a small sigh. Slowly floating up, sparkling water, she would glow a pink-like glow. Quickly though a woman would then appear in front of hide. Her eye of pink-red would look into his own eye. Her snow-white hair glistening with the sun's shine. The flower within her eye would move a little as her head then turned to look towards the men. they seemed to be staring at her. 'you're hot! It's okay. Order them around! Do what you do best!' Chiwa cheered.

Having an emotionless facial expression, she would walk towards them. Her arms crossed against her chest as she lightly stepped towards them. ''Stop looking. Do your jobs.'' she glared towards them with no smile, frown or anything. ''Give me a paper of the plans...'' she coldly, although soothingly ordered.The men had a nervous look as to who, they scattered and each one gave here a paper and something to write with. Grabbing it from the one in front, she looked at the plans. 'There are things he's missing...I'm sure the people that will be in the base will want more then this...' she thought, looking boredly at the blueprints. Odette gripped the pen as she draw more patterns and then gave the men it. ''Do it...'' she ordered. The guys were confused and looked at Hyde. ''Don't look at him. You, you get done with the -...'' she was about to say till she turned towards hyde for a second. Her eyes looked away, ''S...sorry. Didn't mean to get myself ahead.'' she spoke in her cold tone. She could felt herself getting warm, although it wouldn't show. The men went back to work with the new blueprints as she walked slowly towards Hyde.

Being away from him with a four feet distance, she looks up at him. ''My name is Odette Verene Océane De'Fluer Philomena Eve Belleroses Saint-Esprit Delacroix.'' she spoke in her cool, feminine French accent. Her right hand went to the left, against her chest as she bowed a little. Standing up straight she would then let her arms dangle against her sides. ''The one you meet was me, but yea...guessing you know of spirit wielders. Sorry...I'm talking a lot.'' she spoke, apologizing and turns away walking towards the men. She felt nervous, but that was all guys...besides these buffoons that were building this base. She then went back to helping and ordering them on what to do.

Hyde hadn't been really sure what to expect when the little digimon began to change. Spirit Wielders can in all shapes and sizes. After all, he did have Leyton and Degas under his employ. What he didn't expect was a white haired French beauty with what appeared to be a flower growing out of her right eye, and what appeared to be an artificial left hand. Seeing those made Hyde remember his own missing parts as well. He also hadn't expected her to go from cute and playful, to cold and full on drill sergeant on the construction crew, who seemed to instantly know not to question her. This combination of things made Hyde curious and, to be honest, a little aroused. curoused if you will. Then she turned to introduce herself. Odette Verene Oceane-good lord who gives their daughter nine names!? She then went and added a formal bow to boot! "Nicholas Hyde," he introduced himself, somewhat tempted to add a couple more names to try and match. He glanced over at the construction crew, watching them working on her new additions. "I wonder...tell me. You looking for a job?"
