At long last the conclusion to their battle had arrived, or at least so it seemed. After that intense attack Leyton had converted back into his human form, his injuries evident while the Dinosaur eyed the defiant challenger. To think that Leyton would have challenged him even after losing his transformation. Such an admirable warrior's spirit! In the end Kuro rose onto his full length, raising a clawed hand to point at his chest. "Gimme your best shot champ." A challenge, this was going to be their last clash, and although Reikiko could already understand the battle had ended into Kuro's victory this particular final clash was no longer about winning, this was about two men fighting till one of them was unable to move. Was this the type of thing you'd usually hear people say only men understood? Reikiko couldn't help but find herself grinning at the spectacle, eagerly awaiting to see Leyton's final act of defiance. She knew what would follow, in the end Kuro was a dark champion, but the fact he allowed his foe to deliver one last blow spoke volumes of his recognition and respect for Leyton as a fellow warrior and man. "Show me your best punch Leyton!" The crowd was as silent as it could get, everyone observing with baited breath as the two were about to clash for a final attack. This was it, the last attack, the last show of defiance from Leyton before the conclusion of this intense battle. I AM NOT A BAD MAN even though i do bad things Leyton’s breath was shallow, a smirk crossed his face as the dinosaur baited him on. Pride defiance, and bedlam were all that kept him standing, all that his tired eyes could show. He only had one last punch, effective or not it would be his last ditch effort. Charging forward, a twinging pain shooting through his legs with every step. He let out one last roar, one last hoorah, before the inevitable end. Maybe his opponent was toying with him, maybe he would get knocked back so hard that the impact from the counter attack would kill him, whatever the case this was it his last stand. He cocked his fist back, muscles throbbing and twitching, he threw his fist forward giving it all he had.

The punch came, the dinosaur unflinching as he took the blow, and as an eerie silence lingered in the air the dinosaur's tail finally swept backwards, intending to slam it into Leyton's stomach to render him unconscious. Of course the impact of the attack would most likely send the young man flying through the air, but by the time that happened Reikiko had already moved, arms raised as the Shademon blunted its tendrils, and with some effort she would have caught Leyton mid-flight, playfully embracing him while she hummed softly. "A human punching Kuro, you really are full of surprises Ley~" Seemingly giving him a nickname of her own, a bit of an unoriginal one she waited to see the end result, after all with Leyton rendered unconscious the match would have officially been finished and the victor of the match decided. And then it happened... a symphony of cheers broke out from the crowd as Reikiko seemingly waited for Leyton to wake up in her arms, a sheepish grin on her lips while the large dinosaur looked over the defeated warrior. "What did you think of him Kuro?" The dinosaur grinned at her question, replying in an excited tone. "A man worthwhile to face in the semi-finals, hopefully our last opponent shall be just as amazing to face!" Whoever their last opponent would be, they certainly had some high standards to satisfy! ----

I AM NOT A BAD MAN even though i do bad things His pride on the line he rushed forward, he had made contact, a weak smile on his face, his fist made contact with Kuro’s chest, it was done. He closed his eyes waiting for the finishing blow, and there it was; Kuro’s tail swung backwards, crashing into the white hair’s stomach. There was a pain, he spat a bit of blood before everything went white for a moment. The last thing he saw were his spirits, standing behind the Black Greymon, a hallucination from the pain no doubt, they were smiling at him, before his eyes closed. He saw nothing but white, endless white, his unconscious body was flung across the field by the blow, cutting through the air.. He could feel the wind gliding over his head as he flew, it was so peaceful. Leyton’s body came to rest in the tendrils of the shademon, his face at ease, his eyes closed he looked more like he was asleep than KOed.

The battle had been finished, and with the crowds cheers making it clear they were satisfied Reikiko decided it was best to leave the arena. Fortunately for her the Shademon's enhancing of her physical strength made it easy enough for her to carry Leyton, the thought of her carrying him in a cradling manner amusing her, and partly glad that Leyton had been asleep, else he might had been quite a fair bit embarrassed as the two of them left the stage. It was likely within an hour that Leyton would find himself in the medical ward of the arena, seemingly receiving treatment while a familiar figure stood at his side, a smile upon her lips. "I see that you're awake again, don't worry you're in the medical ward right now. Seems you gave the crowd such a show there was a standing ovation, while I didn't see it myself, rumors say even someone among the Seven had clapped their hands. Nevertheless, how are you feeling? Think you'll be able to handle the Bronze Match? In the end it would be a bad joke if someone like you doesn't get bronze in the championship." She winked at Leyton as she turned to look at Kuro who had already devolved back into a Blackagumon and was seated on a nearby stool, munching a piece of meat. "I'm going to have to prepare for the finals in a bit, but before that I wanted to tell you something Leyton." Why had she helped him all the way to the medical ward? Was it related to the matter she was about to tell? ----

I AM NOT A BAD MAN even though i do bad things Leyton walked down a narrow hall, doors abundant, each door marked by a number in roman numerals. Where was he? It looked familiar, like his apartment building in New York, he walked along the path, tracing his hands against the wall; he finally had reached his room, number 24. He traced his fingertips along the golden plated numbers; the metal was cool to the touch. He opened the door, no need for a key. After the latch dropped, and the door opened he was greeted by a golden field of grain in the center, a child? He stepped into the field, child with hair as white as his, though they wore a white robe, similar to that of a kimono. “Hello?” he called out, the child looking back at him. A little girl? “Are you alright?” he asked. The child gave him a warm smile, just before the gravity in the field increased, the grain flattened and he ascended into the sky, the child waving goodbye. His eyes shot open, he was in the med ward, bandaged, and stitched up. Everything was sore. Rei greeted him, telling him about the bronze match, but he wasn’t sure about that. He just wasn’t feeling the need to fight anymore, he had given her his all and the tank was empty. “I don’t know about that.” he looked out of a nearby window, the only window in the room. Who was that kid? He looked back to Rei, grinning his usual goofy grin. “You can tell me anything pal.” he’d place a hand on her shoulder. “Shoot”

When Leyton seemed to answer with uncertainty the girl couldn't help but frown for a moment. Did the defeat rob him of his fighting spirit? That wouldn't do him any good. Thinking for a moment she grinned, seemingly deciding to use her manipulative nature for a good cause for a change. Leaning a bit closer to the young man she whispered softly into his ear. "I was actually looking forward to seeing you in the Bronze Match, perhaps if you win I'd invite you over for a date. Celebratory drink and all that. Perhaps even something more~" Adding a bit of a sensual and flirting tone she smirked, a sudden smooch on the white haired lad's cheek being given before she rose upright again, giggling softly. "Just kidding on the last bit, unfortunately that would be a bit too much of an act even for me~ Still, I'd love to cheer you on during the Bronze Match, and once the tournament is over we'll celebrate with a big party! Lots of drinks, sweets and food. Besides Kuro said you'll be the honorary guest for said party." The Blackagumon seemingly said something while munching on the meat, nodding his head in agreement while Reikiko leaned back against the wall nearby the bed. "I don't plan to lose in the finals, I got too much questions I need to ask of the Seven, too many matters I desire that only by winning this championship will become within my reach. It seems the other finalist is likely going to be a guy called Zachary, or a Digimon whose name I couldn't get, but they seem to call him 'Blight', perhaps a nickname after the poisonous substances he uses. Most people are betting on Zachary for the role of finalist, but you never know till the end." And then it came, the playful smile as she asked of him. "Either way, win the Bronze Match for me, please? Consider it the request of a maiden, and a gentleman never declines such a thing." With a little wave of her hand she finally left the room, looking forward to see the conclusion of this event, yet before they left Kuro addressed Leyton with a bit more seriousness in his tone. "Aneki believes in your strength, that doesn't happen often... so take that knowledge in whatever way you interpret it. Either way, talk to ya later Champ!" And with those words Kuro finally left the room, chasing after his partner. ----

I AM NOT A BAD MAN even though i do bad things He chuckled at her tease that at least made him feel better; he went into the fight with an opponent and came out with… A friend? Peculiar at best, most people seemed even more bitter after the tourney, but he was just happy he got something worthwhile.His cheeks reddened after the ginger kiss on the cheek, “I’ll uh yeah…” he laughed, as she departed to the old ground, preparing for the finals. Kuro hadn’t left. Instead he offered Leyton words of wisdom, Leyton smiled “I’ll catch ya later bud.” he waved the duo off before looking back out of the window. What would he do now?He wasn’t sure about the bronze fight, but Kuro was throwing a party for their victory? He would have to ring those two up some time, for a sparring session if anything. With a tired yawn, he would lay back down, closing his eyes, he'll decide what he'll do in the morning.
