This was it, at long last the semi-finals had arrived, and to be honest? She was feeling both excited and nervous at the same time. Of course she was extremely excited, understandable if one considered the fact she had been so close to reaching her ambition, to finally meet the Seven in person. Yet she was also nervous, and the reason for that was the shadowy creature floating over her shoulder. The Shademon's influence upon her had clearly shown during the previous battle, and with her surprise out of the bag she would have to keep in mind that most of her ace cards had already been revealed, a tragic something albeit necessary considering her opposition.
Still, Kuro seemed as excited as always, a confident grin upon his lips as the two of them walked into the arena, the light blinding them when suddenly they found them inside an outlandish landscape. A maze of mirrors had spread around them, from all angles and directions all sorts of mirrors had surrounded her, and for a moment Reikiko couldn't help but find herself staring at her reflection inside the mirror.
"Gods Shadey, you sure couldn't make the shadows even more thin..."
Mumbling with a bit of annoyance she lightly raised a hand toward the shadow-like fur that spread along her bust, tugging lightly against it, but it did little to hide the cleavage she was showing, especially alongside the fact that the shadows were wrapping around her body in such a way she was rather scantly clad at best. To make the matter even more curious, she couldn't help but find the urge to pose for a moment, bending slightly over to look a bit closer into the mirror while unaware of the fact her 'performance' was being given a first-class review by her opponent, making Kuro mumble under his breath.
"Aneki, this isn't the time to use those type of weapons..."
Yes, poor Leyton was just able to enjoy quite a show. At least the Shademon ensured Leyton would have quite an interesting match to face!

◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? Leyton stepped into the hall of mirrors, unlike his opponent he was a bit more reserved in his attire, it was his usual attire other than the fact he had on a pair of black gloves and his shirt was thrown aside before he entered the ring. He didn't know what to expect from his opponent, last he heard she had impaled her first opponent, and even beat Zo and Tate; whoever this Rei girl was, she was going to give him one hell of a fight. Upon entering the hall, he noticed his opponent, she was... Scantily, he thought she wore a robe! "Uh, mam." he cleared his throat face, cheeks becoming red. Maybe she came unprepared? Yeah, that was it- She probably wanted to ask for more time- she bent over posing in front of the mirror and almost like a flood gate the white hair felt his nose gush with blood, his face becoming visually flustered with shock and what could only be described as amazement. "Hmm?"
It took her only a moment before she noticed the figure behind her reflection, her initial reaction being one of mild embarrassment as her cheeks flushed up with a healthy blush before noticing the nosebleed, making her snicker softly as she turned around to face the man with a cheerful smile upon her lips.
"Sorry about that~ I'm still getting used to this new look. Albeit, judging from your reaction it earned your approval?"
A teasing wink was given to the man as she stepped forwards, a playful salute being made with her shadow-covered right arm while she introduced herself with a grin.
"The name is Reikiko~ The Blackagumon beside me is Kuro and the big fella attached to me is Shadey. I heard about you before~ Leyton was it?"
She hummed with a smile, raising a fingertip to her cheek as if she was pondering about something. She remembered his fight against Adam, causing the girl to hum softly.
"You fought Jungle Boy last round, quite a performance if I say so myself... And one I should thank you for~ It would have given me a headache to deal with him during this event."
Expressing her gratitude with a grin she gently folded up her arms behind her back as she smiled sheepishly at him, feeling herself still in control over her mind and body.
"So tell me a bit more about yourself Leyton~ Not everyday that I get to face a handsome lad who turns into a Digimon. I'm sure we can get to know each other better before we get into the brawling, not to mention: if you'd like to face me seriously I'll need some prove of your strength first. After that battle with ginger girl my bond with Shadey became a lot stronger, so I'd like to confirm first whether you're just as strong as you are handsome before I pull out all my cards onto the play-field."
She really was getting a thrill out of teasing him, didn't she? Kuro merely watched the two of them silently, while the shadows of the Shademon's body flown around her like a thin mist.

◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? Leyton wiped his nose in an attempt to force his steady stream of red matter into a lesser flow of blood. He succeeded in forcing the bleeding into dissipating into a weaker rush of crimson. This was going to get him teased by Andrea for sure; he could hear her southern drawl now, "What's the matter, Leyton? Never seen a pretty girl naked?" she'd laugh at his embarrassed demeanour, ridiculing him between laughing fits, he'd need to strengthen himself mentally before this one was over. He chuckled and nodded, "You've got my name, Leyton Thomson, the pleasure is all mine." rubbed the back of his neck still stiff from his little brawl with dog boy. The white hair wouldn't be so sore if he didn't have to turn into Hanumon to steal victory from the jaws of defeat. "Tell you about me?" His tanned cheeks became flushed with hot red. "I'm a pretty simple guy, I love three things in this life; Women, Manga, and Training." he wasn't used to compliments, as he believed most women thought he was nothing but average, hence why he was so flustered by her praise. "I have to admit; I got excited when I heard I was facing you two I got excited; a beautiful girl AND a powerful Digimon? The idea sent my heart a flutter." he looked at the girl with a warm smile, there was no point in not becoming acquaintances with the girl Leyton couldn't help but laugh at the mention of Adam, "No problem, the idea of having dog boy after you sounds migraine inducing enough." he rubbed his chin, she wanted to know how strong he was? "Well, I guess you can say I'm stronger than jungle boy, or at least a heck of a lot faster."
"Please, do tell me about yourself." he opened the floor for her to speak, he didn't mind knowing her strengths, but he was more interested in getting to know the person behind the shady veil..

"Let's see~ What's there to tell?"
She pondered for a moment, seemingly thinking of the right thing to start her introduction with. To be honest, until recently she was not exactly anything, or anyone special. Rather, her origins were quite humble and if not because of her cheerful demeanor one could likely argue her only redeeming quality was her talent for dodgeball.
"Guess it's the usual story when it comes to my origins. Like my name suggests I'm Japanese, born and raised in Fukuoka, only child for the matter. Dad works at a big corporation as a security guard, mom's a teacher so all things considered it's the usual humble origins tale. Aside from that I grown up with a fondness for sports, dodgeball in particular to the point I was a bit of a celebrity on the field."
She chuckled softly, a genuine smile on her lips as the memories of her time on the field resurfaced, yet after a moment she finally felt her smile fade away.
"About a few months ago that all ended unfortunately. Got involved in an accident that left me partly blind and my hospital stay made me miss out a important match. You know how the rest goes: the hero wasn't around to save the world, gets scorned by everyone and they are left with only despair."
She said the last words with a hint of grief and regret in her tone before she continued, her lips curving back into a grin.
"Got here into the Digital World two months ago, had quite an eventful stay here so far, but judging from my 'attire' that's likely easy to guess, aren't I right?"
The girl hummed playfully as she finally spoke in a cheerful tone, a hand raised to her chest and tapping it in confidence as if she was stating something important while talking about herself.
"But the crowd demands a bit of action, so let's start warning up. Before we get into playing a bit roughly, how about you show me just how fast you are? If you can land one blow that can pierce my Shademon's protection I'll acknowledge you as a worthwhile foe to go all-out against. I'm certain the Seven and the crowd will absolutely love the idea of a Spirit Wielder fighting a tamer."
Kuro couldn't help but blink in surprise before grumbling in amusement.
"Ooy ooy, aren't I the one supposed to do the fighting here Aneki?"
Yet all Reikiko did was merely wink at her companion before turning back toward Leyton.
"Don't worry my dear~ Even if you were to hit me, it's unlikely the shadows would come off, so no risk of dying from a nosebleed deluxe. However, be aware I got some tricks of my own also!"

Leyton crouched down a friendly smile on his face now, "Your storying is a beautiful one, fitting for such a beauty like yourself." he took stance, he reached for his digivice, rolling his shoulders and neck. "And you're right we should get to the warm up before the crowd gets restless." He summoned a band of blue data around the fingers of his left hand and held up his Digivice with his right. "Execute!" he scanned the band, and three more large blue bands enveloped his figure, for a short time a black cocoon concealed his body before melting away and revealing the Gokuwmon inside. He spun his staff and dug it into the ground cracking his knuckles. "So one punch?" he echoed, staring at the shademon, "I hope you're ready to take me seriously then!" He charged forward staff in hand, speed making him reminiscent of a shadowy black blur blitzing for the girl. "Blitzkrieg!" he called out alerting her to his incoming presence. "Yep, one punch is all you need~"
And then it began... Leyton's transformation up close was just as fascinating as she had imagined, and with the staff-wielding warrior before her Reikiko simply couldn't contain her excitement at the thought of finding out just how fast the young man might had been. The answer: very fast. The champion had enclosed the distance at an almost blinding speed, the black blur crossing over the battlefield when the transformed Leyton suddenly emerged right before her, staff pulled back, and while she herself had her arms folded up beneath her chest, as if awaiting the strike Leyton's attack moved in for the hit... or did it?
Whatever area the transformed warrior had tried to strike, it seemed that the shadowy substance floating around Reikiko quickly molded together into a makeshift barrier of sorts, and to Leyton it would likely have felt the same as trying to strike through pure huanglong forged armor.
"Impressive, your speed is extraordinary even for a champion, it would take Kuro a fair amount of effort to be able to keep up with such a pace. Nevertheless..."
She slowly shifted her hand slightly as several tendrils manifested amidst the nearly shadows, each luckily enough being blunt so that if one of them struck her opponent it would have only made them be pushed back a little, but she was trying to see his mobility for herself. How fast could Leyton employ evasive maneuvers? In the end while Shademon's defense was said to be comparable to an Ultimate Digimon, the offensive power at her disposal was only the same type as a Champion. Still, judging from the smile upon her lips and the feint glow in the Shademon's eyes it was clear they were getting a bit excited.
"You'll have to move faster to please me~"

◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? His staff made contact, of course not to Rei but to her Shade, the black shadow acting as a barrier of sorts to protect its wearer. Jumping back discontinuing his assault, he smiled at the girl and her living robe. "Thanks for the compliment." he chuckled, his hands were shaking almost as if he struck some sort of immovable force, that had sent vibrations up his arms. He dropped his staff, it would no doubt slow his assault. Cracking his neck, he narrowed his eyes at the tendrils as they ascended from the Shademon, Shit, she's not even breaking a sweat "I haven't had too much trouble pleasing the ladies before." a smirk stretching his lips. The monkey man blitzed again, this time at a slower pace, throwing a barrage of fist, and kicks at the girl within the shade, of course, they wouldn't land as she was near unreachable but he still had to try! He would jump, kick, punch, and even launch a head butt in an attempt to sever the shade, if any of his attacks would land was mere speculation, as the shadowy substance could without a doubt keep up with him. "I'm sure you'd have no troubles pleasing the ladies with that type of body, pity that my interests are in the fairer gender."
She giggled softly, seemingly conversing with him casual as the shadowy substance perfectly countered each blow one after another, each blow and kick being intercepted as the Shademon molded parts of its body into a thick dark mass to shield her. It was only after Leyton had finished his particular chain that a shadow started to spread above him, the shadowy tendrils seemingly all molding together into a larger hammer-shaped appendage that would proceed to smack straight forwards, intending to slam itself down up to six feet forwards at the spot Leyton stood.
"If I wasn't I'd likely be swooning all over you already~"
A playful chuckle followed as she waited to see if Leyton was hit by the hammer, if not the hammer would soon sweep sideways in the hope of knocking the man away. Of course the crowd was going wild with excitement at a match they had never seen before. In the end, how often could you say that a human tamer fought a spirit wielder in a martial arts brawl? Cheers resounded through the air as Leyton and Reikiko clashes against one another, neither seemingly able to land that blow they desired just yet.
"Still, the Hall of Mirrors and us brawling like this, it's like something straight from a Kung-fu movie!"

◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? “You’re gonna make me blush here Rei,” he laughed still continuing his assault, before finally looking up at the danger above him. “Huh?” The tendril hammer came swiftly, he couldn’t react quickly enough as he was smacked out of the way like a mere insect, she was playing hard ball and there wasn’t much he could do about it other than keep his pace and try to reach her before the shade could. The Gokuwmon did a cartwheel, before back flipping into proper standing position. He was out matched but he couldn’t give up he had as could a chance at winning as she did. After landing on his feet he rushed back up to the mass of darkness, throwing a punch in an attempt to get it to surround its master. Hoping the fake out would work, he would after image above her and launch one of his stronger attacks, “Shadow Sneak!” he shrieked, four shadowy doppelgangers surrounding Rei. Each would launch a barrage of punches and kicks at her, all Leyton could hope was that he could get at her once and earn her respect as a fighter, and show the Seven that he was worth of being in their presence. It appeared her attack had worked, but just like expected Leyton displayed his nimbleness by swiftly recovering from the impact and proceeding to charge up at her, once more a head-on attack. She loved the man's confidence, even after his previous barrages had all failed to have any effect she still saw him charge up in a true warrior-like fashion, and yet when Shademon's shadows gathered to intercept the attack, she realized a moment too late that it was a feint attack.
The Shadow Sneak caused four shadowy copies of Leyton to appear, making her grin softly as she said in a rather mischievous tone.
"Four of you at once? I might have a lot of stamina but this is pushing it a little, and kind of naughty even for me..."
Giving Leyton a bit of teasing through her innuendo Reikiko felt the Shademon stir, a large spiked tendril appearing from each direction the shadowy clone was coming from, and at a near-blinding speed tried to impale each of them.
"Aneki, above you!"
Kuro's warning came a moment too late, her gaze lifted upwards in surprise as she felt the Shademon rush to intercept the blow, yet it didn't have enough time to properly manifest, the fist piercing through the shadows, while Reikiko, her expression showing a hint of panic suddenly stepped sideways to avoid the descending blow, eyes narrowed for a moment as her very aura seemed to grow more monstrous and a single sharpened tendril went straight for the man's heart.
"!"
A warning was given as a hand raised itself to the girl's face, briefly covering it as if she had been struggling with a headache, but if Leyton didn't succeed in dodging the attack, it seemed that Reikiko's resisting of the Shademon's influence would have made the spiked tendril slow down enough for Leyton to dodge it with some effort.

She side stepped him, in the nick of time, she was pretty fast herself though the initial reaction of her veill was one of anger, a spike aimed at his chest, managing to spin himself, legs swinging wildly to the right aided by gravity the tendril grazed his shoulder.
Upon reaching the ground, he hopped onto the floor sliding back from his opponent. He held his newly formed wound, and smiled, "Why miss Rei, I think I nearly got that one pun-." he narrowed his eyes, there was something wrong with them? This was his chance! Though he hated having to take advantage of this sort of thing.
"Lightning speed attack!" he roared, running towards her, during his pace, his body became coated enveloped in electricity, soon giving him the appearance of a lightning bolt ready to strike the young woman The bolt of lightning would instead of directly attacking her circled around the girl before Leyton would finally jump into the air raising a leg only to bring it crashing down. Hopefully his little trick of circling her distracted her long enough for the blow to land. HIGHLIGHT CODE |

The swift assault of Leyton didn't go unnoticed, Reikiko's eyes shifting from side to side as the lightning bolt circled her, the various attempts made by the girl to use the Shademon's tendrils to hit Leyton seemingly failing because of her opponent's sheer agility. However, it was right when Leyton emerged above her, a leg sweeping downwards that four tendrils all lashed upwards, seemingly attempting to deflect Leyton's blow by serving as a cushion.
he's getting faster!
Concern plagued her mind as Reikiko swiftly took a few steps away from the man, the shadows swiftly reforming around her as she panted lightly. That man really was a terrifying opponent when it came to speed. She needed to enlarge the distance and prepare some form of counter-measure, lest Shademon would have not enough time to properly prepare itself. In the meanwhile the crowd let out a symphony of cheers and excited shouts at Leyton's assault, the girl clearly being hard-pressed to keep up with the attacks. Where was he about to attack next? How was he going to attack next? As those worried thoughts plagued her mind Reikiko suddenly felt her back hitting something cold, her gaze shifting momentarily to notice the mirror behind her.
This was bad! Leyton's speed and the mirrors was making it incredibly tough for her to focus on the concept of using her sight to track down the man's movements. At this rate she would have no choice but to rely on Shademon itself if she hoped to get out of danger in time!

"You could say it's being an entertaining battle so far~"
She smiled weakly, and a part of her couldn't deny the fact she was exhilarated at the adrenaline rushing through her body. With Leyton taking clear advantage of the situation she was in the man darted forwards, his fist punching straight at her, and while she was fortunate enough to dive beneath it, the fist possibly hitting the mirror if Leyton didn't pull back in time, the sudden roundhouse kick forced the Shademon to wrap its shadowy armor toward her front, narrowly deflecting it and sending her staggering backwards, an opportunity that the man took full advantage of.
He had suddenly moved from her flank, the elbow that was launched at her making Reikiko's protector shield her just in time, but the shadows were thin enough to send a light tremor through her body, making the girl trip backwards, desperately trying to regain her balance. She needed to be fast! With an opening like this to exploit she was sure Leyton was going to act any moment now, and Shademon was still trying to recover from the surprising swift melee attacks of the man, so to say she was being cornered was not an understatement!
Even Kuro, usually being the one to fight the battles couldn't help but look in excitement at the clash between the two, silently hoping that his tamer would triumph, but knowing how Leyton was moving it was very likely that it was just a matter of time before things would become decisive in their little game.
And yet, within the back of her mind Reikiko couldn't shake off the feeling of excitement, the euphoria of such an intense battle as the Shademon's presence stirred within her. More! She wanted to see more of Leyton's power! All so that she could crush it and feed upon his despair! And it were those thoughts that horrified her, for they weren't just the Shademon's... they were also her own thoughts currently!
