Jeremiah RegisZachary was happy the last battle ended well, but the nature of this monster of a tournament might not be so smooth from this point out. Everyone wanted to win, even if he wished to bring out a good sportsmanship attitude to his opponent. Mytholomon, knew of Zachary's kind demeanor as well. But kindness could often be weakness without being cautious. He would warn Zachary of that, and so he made sure to not let him get into trouble because of it. As they stood in the digital arena, the field became solid-- and soon enough it appeared. The digital field soon took shape to reveal... a jungle location. The sound of birds, real or not, echoed in the field as the thick lush trees grew in all directions. One could even feel the humidity in the air as they observed the jungle around them. Zachary was both amused, but worried as well. The jungle was great and a place Panthermon usually felt most at home in... but in a fight, it was a troublesome area. There were plenty of places to hide in the jungle, making sneak attacks possible. Of course, if the enemy was also skilled in long range and sneak tactics, it be trouble for them too. Mytholomon's claws scratched at the ground in caution, a nervous habit the cat did when danger was possible. " Be on guard, Zachary... this one may be a match for us after all..." the winged Panther said. " I know, I know..." Zachary said, gripping his digivice nervously. He had no clue what his enemy was capable of, but soon they would meet and the fight would soon begin. Reaching out words to his opponent across the path, Zachary waved and smiled towards the older tamer he was fighting. " Um hi there... Good to meet you. Let's have a fair and clean fight, okay? Any rules you wanna clarify before we begin or something? I wouldn't want to do fatal damage to your digimon if you don't wish it, and of course if you promise the same." Zachary said. While he tried to exchange a good-sportsmanship behavior to his opponent, at the same time he had a bad feeling this person might not be as friendly as he tried to be.

| After the last battle, Jeremiah was not looking forward to this next one. Not only did the last one involve Kong shoving a bomb in someones face, last he heard, the person had survived it. Jeremiah didn't know whether to be happy, or annoyed. It was quite insulting that a bomb couldn't kill off a measly human. Unfortunately, that was just how it is. Jeremiah didn't particularly want to kill of whats-his-name, but he didn't want Kong to look weak either.
So as he made his way into the arena, he hoped for a better outcome. Preferably letting the other opponent leave with his face intact. It was really quite disturbing. His eyes scanned the arena, until he found his opponent. He skipped over the human, and inspected the digimon in front of him. His digivice came out, and he scanned it, using the information scanner to get all the juicy information about it.
Putting his digivice back, he walked towards the tamer as the area started to appear. His feet started to land on soft earthen surface instead of the solid base, and the light became filtered, dark, the trees throwing them into shadow. The crowds cheering seemed to dim, being filtered by the surrounding vegetation.
A fair and clean fight? Obviously this man had no idea how to fight in a tournament. Especially one like this. A little white lie never hurt anyone though. Except, well. This one probably would.
He smiled back at the man, waving back. "Of course! I'm quite excited to test Kongs skills against your partners. May I ask, however, do you plan to participate in this fight yourself? Because I wouldn't want you to get hurt. I've heard some awful injuries happened to one of the tamers last round."
Fatal damage? If this person could deal fatal damage to Kong, he deserved it. And vice versa. Though, he had spoken to Kong about eating other digimon. It really is not a good look, and things like that should be done in moderation, away from crowds.
Kong, meanwhile, didn't care for this casual banter. His visor was focused directly on the Mytholomon, and he chattered away to himself, laughing and making incomprehensible noises as he slowly saved the digimons signature onto his targeting parameters. | © seadra of gs |

The man's language was refined, and somewhat polite. But while Zachary was trying to be a good sport, Mytholomon's eyes were quare on the trainer and his digimon. " Zachary... don't let your guard down. Something is off..." Mytholomon warned. The way Mytholomon observed the tamer and his digimon, the coldness of his demeanor and the words he put forward-- it made Mytholomon's fur stand on end and his claws dig into the false dirt. Zachary glanced at his partner, then to Jeremiah again. " I have no weapon if that is what you mean. " Zachary however then firmed his grip on his digivice and gave Jeramiah a strong look. " But if you decide to play dirty, I won't hesitate to join the fight in my own way. Mytholomon and I are a team, no matter what front of battle I fight in. I guess it will come down to you." With that, Mytholomon urged Zachary away with a jolt of his head. Following it, Zachary walked back to his partner. " Get on my back, Zachary." the cat almost ordered. " But why?" " Assurance. I got a bad feeling about this. I rather not have them try and attack you while I am else where. This way, I can defend you while fighting." the cat said in a softer whisper. Zachary glanced again at the tamer. The timer would soon start, and the battle would begin. Deciding not to argue with Mytholomon, as he had a good sense of what people called 'bloodlust', he swung over his back and stode on Mytholomon's back, just behind where his fiery wings were. Mytholomon' flames didn't burn Zachary, as they burned only who he choose. At least for Now Zachary would be able to help and cover Mytholomon from a different point of view. " May the best tamer and Digimon win," Zachary said to Jeremiah, the last attempt to a friendly greeting before the battle would begin. It was then the timer began-- forming big numbers in the air between them. Zachary took his digivice out and looked at the ape. He was one he never heard about before. Targetmon, a champion level Digimon-- virus type. While the digivice didn't have all the data, Zachary had an educated guess what attributes it could have, from his name and his appearance, being a rather almost cybornetic digimon from its visor. The countdown was at 5, and Zachary took a firm grip of the armor Mytholomon wore. 3...2... 1...
FIGHT!!Mytholomon let out a fierce roar as he quickly flapped his flaming wings and took off into the air, Zachary with him! Zachary watched carefully as they flew upward int the air above the jungle. While Zachary would of wished they could attack, they knew nothing of this digimon's abilities. However, if it was enough to concern Mytholomon, it must of been bad. For now, Zachary kept his focus on their enemies. He kept his digivice on hand and his cards in his pocket. For now, they could just stay out of range, and wait for the enemy to attack, and be ready to retaliate when needed. " Be patient and wait. Let's see what he does..." Mytholomon urged, for his sake and Zachary's. (OOC: Mytholomon passive is 20% boost to speed, both on ground and in flight, just to keep you in mind of his movement and reaction time. Circling area, to study Targetmon's attack pattern and respond when needed.) Jeremiah Regis

| Jeremiah noticed the small signs from the other digimon. The quiet murmur to the human, the slight bristle of his fur, the way his claws were slowly but surely digging into the ground, as if ready to pounce, or flee. And the gaze, the eyes of a predator. Jeremiah knew that he hadn't fooled the digimon, but didn't really care. That was just a small game. The real fun began soon.
"I actually plan to sit out on the sidelines, and not actively participate." Jeremiah would smile at the duo before patting Kong on the shoulder. He watched the tamer jump on the digimons back..
"Annihilate him. But make it interesting." A soft murmur to Kong, too quiet for anyone else to pick up. He made his way over to the side of the Arena, leaving the barrier and sitting on the sidelines. He could no longer attack or be attacked, and could not re-enter the fight. But he never planned to attack anyway. That's what Kong was for.

FIGHT!!!
The announcement blared out over the Arena, the panther quickly escaping to the skies. It seemed that this man wanted to take the battle to the skies, where he probably assumed Kong wouldn't be able to follow him. Unfortunately, he had assumed wrong.
Kongs eyes stayed trained on the skies, though he couldn't see the digimon from beneath the canopy. But instead of doing anything aggressive, he simply climbed a tree, and sat there, waiting. The longer this battle drew on, the better for him. Give him long enough, and nothing would ever escape.
Jeremiah, on the other hand, could quite easily see what was happening. A smart strategy, he gave him props for that. He was waiting to see what this unknown would do, and took to the skies to do so. Seeing as how Kong had no obvious means of flight, it would definitely give Zachary the upper hand to start off with.
It just depended if Jeremiah wanted to show his trump card yet. His hand fiddled with the cards in his pocket, but he decided to wait. Build up the suspense. | © seadra of gs |

Zachary and Mytholomon flew through the air around the battle. Sadly for the both of them, this battle was soon a waiting game. While one would assume the digimon below might of been a muscle headed monkey-- the enemy tamer was not. They were thinking the exact same thing! They didn't want to make the first move either, but they were biding time for a reason. As they hovered for alike a full minute, no attack came. " I think they are waiting for us as well. Drat, he is smart as well. " Mytholomon merely glanced at his tamer behind his shoulder for a minute, then returned to gaze at the jungle where he had last spotted the enemy. Mytholomon, like Zachary, didn't wish to do any harm to the tamer. He was not a factor now that he left the arena. However, they had no clue if an enemy digimon could attack from the outside of the arena. Either way, Mytholomon didn't have to worry about hurting the human. Something that Zachary never wished for. " He is biding his time too.. but if he is going to play that game, we shouldn't let him do so on his terms." Mytholomon growled. As Zachary's hair rustled in the wind, he nodded. " I agree. Let's take the fight to him then!" Zachary declared, Mytholomon ascending higher in responce. The flames on Mytholomon's wings flared and the heat increased as he flapped his wings far back. " FIRESTORM!!" Mytholomon roared, and with a mighty flap of his wings, released a wide range of fire. The attack was a wide-area of effect that cast a flaming gust outward in the direction given. It was aimed for the trees of the jungle where they suspected Targetmon was hiding behind. If he was inside, the flames might hit him in the relentless blaze, but also burn up a part of the jungle to expose him. (OOC: Used Firestorm from the air to attack Targetmon hidden in the jungle, burning the area. ) Jeremiah Regis

| This was certainly taking its time. Kong was pretty much falling asleep, as he had found an extremely comfortable branch to lie on. His eyes were slowly closing, when he heard something. A roar. A roar that was also a word. Firestorm, Kong believed it was. It took a few seconds to process, but he soon got the gist of what was happening.
The area he was in suddenly seemed to light up, as if a sun was descending on the forest. And, it may as well have been, for a large wave of fire was roiling towards him. Whether by plan, or sheer dumb luck, the panther had hit exactly where was Kong had been lying.
The digimon rolled off the tree, landing on his feet. He knew he probably couldn't outrun the attack, so did the only thing he really could. He beat Zachary to it.
Small rivulets of sweat started to run out of his pores as the canopy burst into flames. The sweat he released was a highly flammable substance, and one of the key components in one of his attacks. The other key component was the flame on his head, which he quickly held his tail up to. The tip of it caught, and the fire spread along his body, lighting him up into a giant flaming monkey.
These flames though, did not hurt him. They were a part of him, and soothed him. Monkey Furnace was activated, and with it, he became completely immune to fire damage. Fight fire with fire.
Asthe section of the jungle completely burst into flame, the monkey would run out, seeming screaming in horrendous pain. He would be coated in fire, though the flames would be of his own making, and not actually hurting him.
Jeremiah, on the other hand, was already getting annoyed at Kongs antics. He could tell by the information on his digivice that he was unharmed, and that he was simply acting like a fool. However, Kong probably wasn't doing it just for laughs, and Jeremiah knew that as well.
Anyone with half a brain would come down to finish him off now, and end the fight. And their opponents had no reason to believe this was a ruse, as far as Jeremiah could figure out. But, then again, maybe they were much smarter than he gave them credit for. The digimon had seen through his, admittedly, very bad, acting after all. | © seadra of gs |

The roar of flames hit the jungle, and while at first it just seemed to be random jungle, they heard the howl of a monkey. Out came running into what little clearing of the jungle there was, but Targetmon. The digimon was lit in flames, and running and howling about like he couldn't put out the fire. The entire section went up in flames rather quickly as the digimon ran out, and it looked like he was severely injured. It was unclear whether it was legit or not, but it seemed like the flames did their job. " Hey! I think you got him!" Zachary shouted, seeing how the flames charred the jungle but also flushed out Targetmon. However, Mytholomon was less than convinced as he saw the digimon roaring in pain. " So it seems..." the panther digimon growled as he still flew in the air. He watched as the digimon screamed and howled, no different than any monkey was. " But I'm not monkeying around." Mytholomon craned his neck back and a crimson sphere of light appeared before his maw. " RUBY ROAR!!" the beast shouted, and fired a brilliant crimson beam at Targetmon. If it were to hit, it would not only do damage, but reduce the virus Digimon's defense considerably. He still kept a relentless assault from the air. For a battle-hardened digimon like Mytholomon, he was not going to show as much mercy to him than some other tamers who wanted a friendly fight. This digimon was dangerous. He could feel it in his blood-- digital blood anyway But one thing was clear to the Panther digimon. The one attack from before against an enemy of champion level to already be that badly damaged... it was too easy. (OOC: Used Ruby Roar to damage and use -20% defense debuff on Targetmon. | The jungle had lit up, a large chunk of it burning away. Luckily, it hadn't seemed to spread too much, though there was always the risk. A monkey without a jungle was a sad, sad sight. As he was playing around though, his visor would flash red, and a small message would roll across. 'Locked on. 100% accuracy engaged. Tracking now.'
Nearly as sad a sight as a monkey rolling around on the ground, screaming in pain after being set on fire. Obviously though, they opponents didn't find it sad enough, as they wasted no time on a follow up attack. The bright red crimson beam flew towards the digimon, and even as fast as he was, he was too busy rolling around in the ground to react fully. He managed to roll out of the way, very barely, but the impact from the beam hitting the ground sent him flying away, slamming him into a tree.
Kong grumbled to himself, watching the flying digimon. He look at Jeremiah, wondering why he hadn't used that yet, but decided that he knew what he was doing. He would use it when he needed to. Until then... Kong looked around, and spotted exactly what he needed. He dived back into the jungle, disappearing into the part that had yet to be touched by the fire.
He made his way to the tallest tree under the cover of bush, deactivating his monkey furnace early. He began to slowly climb, and as he reached the top, he waited. And waited. Eventually, while flying around, he hoped that the Panther would fly near the tree. And if he did...
He would jump out into the air as soon as he was in range. A horrible screech would emnate from his mouth, Dissonant Scream taking effect. An invisible orb of sound would blast out around him, reaching 50ft in all directions, and anyone caught in the blast would take a double hit of Sonic and Vibrational damage. Not only that, they would be extremely disoriented for a while, and for a flying digimon, that would make it extremely hard to stay in the air.
If the pair didn't fly near him however, he would simply just wait in his tree. | © seadra of gs |

Jeremiah RegisThe beam missed just by a hair as they watched as the monkey ran into another part of the Jungle not on fire. In time, the flames of Mytholomon's forest fire would eventually burn out, but the forest was still an issue. Mytholomon growled at the monkey's trickery as Zachary continued to observe the surroundings as well. With him on his back, their advantage in observation was far more effective as they hovered from above. Following the monkey, he entered into the jungle once again. " You can run but you can't hide!!" At that moment, Mytholomon growled, and a black pulse of energy rippled around him. " JUNGLE FURY!!" His growl suddenly had an empowering effect, feeling a surge of power rush through his form. The power of the Jungle Fury actually increased his power by a significant margian. It was just what he needed as he prepared his next move. Mytholomon roared and drew in more heat again, his fiery wings once again billowing with renewed strength. " FIRESTORM!!" He roared, once again launching a wide blast of fire upon the jungle area. It wouldn't be long before that section of jungle would be destroyed too. Zachary looked around as the woods went up in flames as they flew around the jungle, trying to spot the crazy monkey. " I don't see him. You don't think he is burnt inside the--" Zachary asked, but was suddenly cut off. Suddenly a shot of movement came as they came in range to a certain high tree. It was Targetmon, lunging out at them by leaping from the tree, despite the flames growing below him. " Look out--!" Zachary shouted, but it meant nothing. From the rampaging monkey, an ear-splitting howl erupted from him. Just in range, Zachary and Mytholomon were shaken by the sound-base attack, them having no defense base against a type of sound effect. Zachary screamed as he clutched one hand on the armor of Mytholomon's back, to keep himself from falling off, and his other arm used to try and cover both ears-- however in vein. Mytholomon also roared out in pain as it shook his sensitive ears. The mind-shattering threw off the cat as he began to wobble in the air, and began to fly in the opposite direction, trying to get away from the sound and enemy. Zachary shouted as he felt disoriented by the ape's roar and Mytholomon began to descend faster and faster. Mytholomon couldn't keep in the air too easily-- but he had enough control to try and find someplace safe outside of the range of the burning jungle! Finding the similar clearing from before, Mytholomon aimed to land there. Or to be more accurate... crash. With a final roar and a stumbling of his feet-- Mytholomon landed to the ground and tumbled! Zachary still clinging to his back rolled with him as the flaming winged panther was grounded for the time being, his ears ringing and his vision wonky due to the sound attack. Zachary was thrown off of Mytholomon by a few feet. While he was unsure how badly he, himself, was injured by the sound attack, he at least could make out Mytholomon on the ground, dazed and on his side. Struggling to stand, Zachary picked up his digivice on the ground and made his way right to Mytholomon's side. " Z... Zachary, are you alright?" Mytholomon asked, growling as he struggled to stand up from the fall and dizzying sensation of the shout. Zachary reached Mytholomon and rested a hand on his back, using him to also steady himself. " All things considered, yeah, I'm fine..." Zachary grumbled as he looked around. He didn't know where Targetmon was yet but he was sure it wasn't gonna be long before the ape revealed himself and possibly attack them while they were down. Zachary tried to keep near Mytholomon and look around to see if he could spot the enemy. Mytholomon was slowly back to his feet, but if Zachary had not been holding on to his back, he would of tumbled back down. For now the panther didn't move, trusting Zachary to be his eyes and ears as much as his own could work. Now they had to be on the defense if they wanted to survive and still have a shot to win. (OOC: Used Jungle Fury (3 duration 25% power boost) and Firestorm to burn jungle again. Hit by Targetmon's sound attack and disoriented. Fly and crash land on non-burning clearing of the jungle area. To King: Description of how stunned are we, as in both Mytholomon and if Zachary is suffering the same effects. )

| Kong heard the roar, a voice echoing with power that was the harbinger of something much more deadly. Another firestorm, one that would set even more of the forest on fire. As the two kept Carpet Bombing the Arena, USA to Vietnam style, Kong simply bided his time. Everyone knew the Viet Kongs guerrilla warfare would win in the end.
As he landed from his leap, he watched the panther wobble through the air, and slowly descend. The debilitating effect of the attack, the disorientation, had gone to work, and the digimon would find it hard to walk straight for a while, let alone fly. He followed the falling panther, dropping into the burning jungle to make his way to the clearing.
Even with his natural mobility in terrain such as this, making his way through the jungle was extremely difficult. Even he was unable to do it perfectly, and small bursts of fire would hit him as he made his way through, branches falling down as he grabbed onto them, dropping him onto the ground. Seemingly insignificant damage to a champion, but as he made his way through the treacherous area, it started to build up, and as he was coming up to the crash zone, he would not make his way into it completely unharmed
He slowly walked into the clearing, the burning backdrop of the forest giving him a menacing appearance. He had seen the panther tumble to the ground, but decided not to attack yet. That would just be plain rude. Instead, he simply watched, his visor glowing a bright red as he stood there ominously.
Kong had decided that it was time to stop playing around, and time to start fighting seriously. To give the crowd the show they wanted. After the last match, surely he had to top it somehow? Though, he had been expressly told not to kill anything again, he was sure he could make it interesting somehow.
When the two of them stumble up, however, he made his move. Deciding that they were fair game now, he took out one of his bombs, and threw it high into the air. Screeching at the duo to draw their attention, he would rub his shoes together, sparks flying off of them like a pair of defibrillators. Not yet activating his shocking grasp move, he would slowly walk towards them, cackling to himself as the bomb descended from above.
If the bomb landed, it would land directly in front of the Mytholomon, and explode as soon as it made any solid contact with anything, creating a fairly large explosion and sending shards of shrapnel flying through the Arena. | © seadra of gs |

Zachary and Panthermon were still disoriented, but Zachary's sense of awareness was a bit sharper as he could make out the flames, the close objects nearby with no problem-- but what he did catch was the moving, silver colored figure emerge from the flaming trees. The roar of the flames of the jungle-- and the roar of the blood-thirsty crowd was almost one in the same as far as Zachary could, but that is what he tried to make out. Sound. When they were disoriented, he had to act on Sound-- as did Mytholomon as they stood and waited. While Targetmon emerged and drew out that objects-- and that was just what Zachary saw, an object. He had no clue to see what it was, but anything from that overgrown ape sure was bad. The sound of screeching sounded as the object was thrown into the air. Wait for it... Zachary thought, judging by what he saw and what he heard. Either way, the screeching or the blurry object coming closer was bad news! " NOW!!" Zachary shouted, gripping Mytholomon harder. Mytholomon growled and his wings spread. " NETHER GUARD!!" he roared. At his command, an array of digi-code appeared in a circle around himself and Zachary-- followed by a transparent sheen of energy! The object didn't get as far as their feet as it made contact with the barrier-- and the object exploded! Mytholomon and Zachary's planning and quick action was well put to effect as they had saved Nether Guard for the right moment. The defense spell that the panther created was a 360-degree barrier, capable of defending the user and his allies close to him. The explosion and shrapnel with it, only pelted against the see-through barrier, bouncing away from the zone where the digi-code was glowing around. Even more so, the shield was additionally effective against VIRUS-TYPE attacks. Because of Targetmon's Virus attribute, the shield held up against even more damage if it was just a simple champion-level digimon attack. Zachary let out a deep breath as they acted just in time, avoiding what was likely a critical blow. " That was close...!" Zachary gasped, feeling his body shiver a bit from the sound of the explosion. Mytholomon growled in response, soon sensing their target nearby. As Zachary drew closer to Mytholomon, moving to return to his back to be safely astride him, both their senses began to clear. The effects of the monkey's disorientation attack was beginning to lift. Jeremiah Regis (OOC: Judging from sound and blurry view of distance, Zachary signalled Mytholomon. Mytholomon used Nether Guard to defend against Shrapnel Bomb. Shield is super effective cause Targetmon is Virus Type. Disorientation now ends with end of this post)

| Well that was rude. A defensive move? How dare he. Where was the fun in defending, no one wanted to see that. Kong was quite dismayed about that. He was looking forward to a good explosion, and now he wasted one of his very, very limited bombs. He would have to be careful with them now, seeing as he couldn't blow anything up without them.
But even though he wasted a bomb, something even better happened as a result. He found out that the enemy had a shield. And that is quite a dangerous ability. Kong didn't want this person defending against his attacks. Oh no. Not that. So he only had one thing left to do. He opened his mouth.
And out came a piercing scream, similar to the last one, but more... targeted. It would pierce to the very soul of whoever he directed it at, and temporarily glitch their digicore. This would have the effect of disabling up to two moves used last round, preventing them from being used for three rounds.
After he let out his cry, he knew that it was only a matter of time before Mytholomon took to the sky. The disorientation would fade away soon, and the two had used their air superiority to great advantage. But not for much longer. He had locked on to this digimon, and it was time to put his abilities to use.
He held his hand up, and let out another screech. It was a signal. One that Jeremiah understood immediately. He pulled a card out, swiping it through the card reader. Card number one. Examon.
Upon Kongs outstretched hand, a large, metal lance would form. The end, while sharp, would be opened up, and near the base would be a trigger and magazine system. Examons Lance would then be leveled at the Mytholomon, Kong aiming the long range weapon at him.
Upon his back, two dark red Chrome Digizoid wings would form, flapping a few times before settling down behind him. Widening out to act as stabilizers, they would be coated in the orange glow from the fire behind him.
A single finger movement, the index finger closing, and a bright flash of light would appear. Kong had drawn this battle out so far on purpose, and his accuracy was immense at this stage. The lance fired, a large shell launching incredibly quickly at the panther. | © seadra of gs |

The explosion of the bomb was one bullet dodged-- but the monkey had more tricks hidden under his... well you know. As if in retaliation and disappointment for the defensive move Zachary and Mytholomon employed, it let loose another howling, agonizing scream as if to throw a fit. Zachary clamped his hands over his ears again and Mytholomon lowered his head, trying to block out the sound. " Aw crap! Not this again?!" Zachary shouted over the screaming. " Will you shut up already?!" However, Mytholomon felt the effects of the howling scream, it actually messing with his own data. " It's not the same! It's a sound-wave virus that is interfearing with my data!... He's arrested the ability to use my shield!" " WHAT?!" Zachary exclaimed as the howling ended. It was then that Targetmon did something neither of them expected. A light glowed from his back, and next thing they knew-- he had red glimmering wings. EXEMON's WIngs! He took flight, holding the same lance and powers. Zachary and Mytholomon saw the transformation, both of them in shock as Zachary realized what happened. " Drat! His tamer must be able to modify his digimon like me!" Targetmon aimed his lance, his gaze right on them and prepared to fire. And without the shield, they were sitting ducks! " DIGI-MODIFY!!" Zachary screamed, hastily slashing a card through the digivice, just as the guns were about to be sent flying! BOOM!The barrage of bullets/energy/whatever impacted to the ground, Mytholomon not having left the ground as they saw Targetmon took flight as well. As the smoke cleared where the pair would of been... a strange object blocked Targetmon's view. A big-ass giant circular shield with the 6 point triangles pastured on it! The brilliantly bright shield of red, white and gold glimmered in the sunlight of the false jungle-- and was held just so in Targetmon's line of sight-- the barrage of attacks having clearly impacted and blasted the ground around it to bits. Zachary had used Gallantmon's card-- the Gungnir and Aegis (Equipment, lasts for 3 turns). The Gungnir laid on the ground behind the shield, and behind that, Mytholomon hand the handle gripped in his jaws, holding the shield up. Zachary was behind it, his hands over his head and ducked low as the explosion had erupted around him. Finally raising his head, he made it just in time-- using Gallantmon's shield to shield them from the explosion of Examon's lance. " Thank you, Zachary. That was a close one--grr!" Mytholomon growled, the shield still in his mouth. He let it go and rested the shield on his back. The large shield was just as big as him, and for the time being, acting like an umbrella. Zachary calmed himself down as he looked around. Much of the jungle field had been charred and reduced to ashes. Only a few groves of it remained. They could run for cover, but if they did-- they would be as much sitting ducks as Targetmon was at the start. They too would be burned. Now that the stupid monkey could fly, it was dangerous to engage in mid-air at close range. As Targetmon would look, he could see the glow from the lance behind the shield. It was then that Mytholomon used it for its ranged' potential, a glimmering electric glow. LIGHTNING JOUST! "Mytholomon roared. A brilliant, white-blue beam of lightning shot forward with the somewhat grounded lance. The Panther barely was able to lift it with his paws, but the energy he channeled into it was true-- and flew out to try and hit Targetmon as he flew in the air. For now, Mytholomon and Zachary were on the defensive, but so long as they were still in the fight-- it gave every chance to turn the tide! Jeremiah Regis (OOC: Sure use THAT . Digimodify-- 1/7 cards used. . Gallantmon's Lance and Aegis. Used Shield to defend from attack, and lance's Lightning Joust to fire at range at Targetmon in mid air. Using the shield as a hiding place as well to keep out of line of fire. On the defensive. )

| As the barrage of shots flew towards Zachary, Kong laughed to himself. Surely this would work. With his barrier disabled, there shouldn't be any way to prevent this from hitting! Unfortunately for the monkey, there indeed was. The very same thing that allowed Kong to attack in the first place. Digimon cards.
The Gungnir, one part of Gallantmons equipment, would sit in Mytholomons mouth, blocking all the attacks. And if Gungnir was there, aegis would be as well. And so it was. With a large glow building up behind the shield, Kong knew exactly what was coming. It was a pair, and if they had the defense of Gungnir, then this attack could be dangerous.
As soon as he saw the glow, Kong took preventative measures. He stopped flapping his wings, gliding instead, and as soon as the attack unleashed, they folded in front of him. The Red Chrome digizoid had incredible defensive properties, and absorbed the brunt of the impact, though he was sent tumbling through the air quite far.
The wings snapped back out, halting his spinning out of control, and he nosedived, dipping down before using the extra speed to pull himself back up. He would keep flying up, riding on the updrafts from the burning jungle, until he was well above the pair he was fighting against.
As he appeared above the two, his wings would fold back, and he would start diving. His lance pointed straight downwards, he would seemingly charge at the pair, intent on jousting them to defeat. However, as he dropped, his grip on the lance would loosen, and just before he came into contact, he would let it go, his hands extending outwards.
Sparks of lightning would appear between them, Shocking Grasp coming into effect. He would aim for the shield, and if he hit, the shocking grasp would course through the metal, the chrome digizoid conducting the attack to the wielder. If he missed, however, he would curl into a ball, using the metal wings to minimize the damage taken, and roll out of melee distance. | © seadra of gs |

Zachary and Mytholomon bought time as the shield was indeed effective even the giant lance used to try and repel Targetmon as he flew overhead. It seemed they surprised him, but the monkey was growing more bold and clever by the second. However, the Lightning Joust attack was dampened by the Chrome Digizoid wings of Examon. Zachary had the exact same card, and he knew how strong that was. However, he also knew all the cards-- attacks, equiptment-- were all limited to the digimon who used it and his present power. The REAL Exemon probably would of endured much, much more in comparison. Not to mention some cards benefited some digimon over others. This was an emergency-- and why Zachary used Gallantmon. Zachary depended more on the shield than the actual lance-- because Mytholomon couldn't hold it with his paws. " We can't risk flying out now. He will gun us down. Without my shield I can't protect myself, and this is too heavy for me to fly with." Mytholomon growled, sensing his enemy getting ready to attack again. " I hate to say it, but staying here is bad as well. He no doubt has an attack that could bypass this defense as well." Zachary thought about it as he took out his other cards, as well as the Gallantmon card he just played. The shield... and his eyes went wide. " Maybe not. I think i got an idea..." Zachary said smiling to Mytholomon. " If he wants to attack us head on, I say let him. Let him come to us," Zachary said. Mytholomon glared at Zachary, unsure what he was thinking. " Zachary, this shield wont keep us safe for long! " he said, almost sternly. " True, but we are forgetting one minor detail," Zachary said, looking to the shield. " This shield is also used for an attack." Mytholomon's eyes widened just for a moment, as he soon realized it for himself. Zachary pulled out two more cards, showing the line up of use for his partner. " I'll line you up, and you knock him down." he said. He picked up the cards as Mytholomon got ready. It was at this time that Targetmon now charged-- lance and wings coiled around him to attack-- and the electric power of his stupid monkey feet readying to attack from the air. But what happened next would surprise anyone. " DIGI-MODIFY!!" Zachary shouted from behind the shield. " GOLIATH, DOWNLOAD!!" Suddenly a powerful glow of energy came from the shield. Out from it revealed Mytholomon, growing quicker and larger in size. HIs form, his burning wings, and the shield on him, grew in size!! The power of the Goliath card made him far bigger-- along with a RIDICULOUS power up of 100% Power! With Targetmon in a head-on dive, there was no way he could dodge as suddenly the brilliantly shiny Aegis shield began to glow. The runes on it lit up and hummed with power. " FINAL ELYSION!!!" he roared, aiming the shield. The Aegis of Gallantmon violently erupted with a mighty, wide and ridiculously powerful beam of energy right at Targetmon. Targetmon's tactics to dodge might of well worked. However, as Zachary would suspect, the power of the gear given by cards, were only relevant to a digimon's own base stats. But right now, Zachary had literally doubled Mytholomon's core power, and that force was now reflected in the form of Gallantmon's shield. With Targetmon charging directly for them, he now flew right into the beam of the empowered FINAL ELYSION-- strong enough, Zachary suspected, to completely obliterate the added armored wings and gear Targetmon had and then some damage to boot. But they were far from done. IF-- if the armor was destroyed and he still came charging head on-- it was when Mytholomon finally reared his head out from the shield and aimed at Targetmon. The now GIGANTIC panther growled at the monkey, both he and his partner now having him cornered with the next combo to come! " DIGI-MODIFY!!" Zachary shouted, now hiding under the now gigantic form of his partner, being the size of an dinosaur. He slashed the second card through-- it being a picture of a white Agumon. " Snowagumon, download!!" The familiar twinge of data entering Mytholomon was clear-- it being a card Zachary used often. He opened his maw and felt the chill of his own breath. " FROZEN WIND!!" The Panther's roar caused a sudden and massive gust of ice and snow! The power of the Goliath boost card, and Frozen Wind attack-- Zachary intended to do now ice affiliated damage. With the super charged arctic assault, Zachary hoped his attack would hit. If successful, it wouldn't just do damage, but the frozen wind would actually freeze Targetmon, unable to escape and frozen solid! Jeremiah Regis(OOC: Okay, went a bit OP in actions here but I am pretty sure all I did was good in terms of rules and creative work. So here it goes. Used Digimodify combo. Total cards used: 3/7 . 1. First Card: Goliath: Digimon rapidly inflates (grows) and grows to 3x their normal size, 100% boost power, lasts 2 turns 2. Used the power of Gallantmon's shield for its TRUE attack (Which I F***ing-forgot till now ) Final Elysion/Shield of the Just attack. Shot at Targetmon as he charged for head on assault actually FOR the shield. Big mistake Method attempt: An attack powered up high enough I suspect is strong enough to tear through weapons and defensive means, such as Exemon's shield-wings and weapon since its all based on the stats of the digimon holding it. 3. Follow Up attack. If attack failed, used second card; Snowagumon's Frozen Wind-- attempt to use power up of Goliath to launch a powerful frozen blast to literally put Targetmon on ice and Frozen him solid. Good Luck King ^^)
