Although her battle with Walter had only ended a little bit ago, Reikiko was already wandering among the spectator stands, seemingly searching for someone. In the end she had 'sensed' the girl was there, and while Kuro had been walking behind her, visibly still a bit exhausted she herself seemed entirely harmless, aside from the mysterious cloak that covered her body. They had been in the arena stands of a different duel, one whose name she didn't recall just yet, but that was only a secondary objective, it was the girl she saw a few paces away from her, the girl with the Gatomon that made Reikiko smile briefly as she approached her. "Yana~ Didn't expect to see you at the tournament, almost would have been more likely to see you watching the battles with Ari in your arms and you going 'Kya~'" The girl giggled softly at the mental image before she looked over the girl, asking in a bit of a curious tone. "How you been doing?" Kuro seemed more silent than usually, or rather he looked like he was dozing off into a nap! Must had been tired from the battle just now....

If Yana ever doubted her decision to not join this tournament - even for a single moment - it vanished the moment she got a good look at all of the fights. Unsurprisingly, a fighting tournament sponsored by a guy responsible for killing thousands of people and digimon had readily turned into a deathmatch. Two of the fights drew her attention more than any others, and all of them involved the tamers taking parts in what by all accounts should be a digimon tournament. A girl with a golden umbrella and the DATS Agent she'd met in Terabyte City - who she already suspected to be corrupt in the first place - had moved on to the next round after particularly vicious battles. Hell, even Kuro vs Walter wasn't that bad, and both of them were Dark Digivolved Digimon. Naturally she was far from being in her cheerful mood... The way people enjoyed such deathmatches made her feel nauseated, and she had to clear away from the crowd a bit. "Nana-chan... We shouldn't have come here if you'd end up feeling like this...", Ari commented, hanging beside her tamer as she felt the wind hit her face, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear as she looked at her partner, shaking her head "I had to... I had to see who was gonna fight, what their sponsors would be trying to achieve... If anything bad happens, i have to be here to help.", Yana answered resolutely, despite the obvious mental exhaustion. The girl wandered around the least crowded parts of the spectator stands, eventually buying herself and Ari two large Orange Juices. And there she was, slurping through a straw as she finally heard a familiar voice. Ari's ears twitched before both girls turned in that direction only to see a rather cheerful Rei standing there. It was only natural, she had just won! Seeing a friendly face suddenly made her feel a lot better and her expression visibly lit up, "Rei-chan! Congratulations on your victory...!", she'd nod happily, giving the girl a thumbs up, "Geez, you don't have to make fun of me like that.", she pouted cutely. "I've been better...", she gave a slightly saddened look towards the arena, obviously not enjoying some of the battles, and mostly worried for her friend, "You should be careful next round. Some of these competitors are... Pretty ruthless." "Wow Kuro, I don't think I've ever seen you this tired.", Ari quipped, walking up to the BlackAgumon, instead giggling and sitting next to him as she slurped her juice

"Yeah... That Lopmon was one hell of a tough cookie..." Despite his smile and a slight wave of his paw as a greeting it was clear Kuro was working on regaining his stamina, while Reikiko herself was listening to Yana's worried voice. It seemed that the girl was concerned about her safety, something that made the girl smile briefly in response. "Yeah, I haven't heard much from the other combatants yet. Albeit I heard in the Blood Quarters earlier that one of the fights had been so intense the sponsor himself made his presence known." She pondered silently about that for a moment, wondering what type of fight had been so intense that one of the Seven had personally shown interest in the battle. "I'm afraid I had to reveal quite a few tricks during this match, but I do have some surprises still up my sleeve!" The girl's tone was clearly filled with excitement as she mused softly. "Albeit, I'm a bit curious about the remaining opposition. Kuro seems a bit too tired to run all over the place, and some of those matches already ended~ Albeit it seems I'm going to be fighting a girl next round... Hope she is as cute and friendly as you are, might make it all the more entertaining." With a little wink to accompany her teasing remark the girl couldn't help but feel that even after such an intense battle, that she was still full of energy! "Do ya think Walter's tamer came to pick him up yet Aneki?" The girl wasn't sure if that happened already, but she was confident that at the very least Walter's tamer would return for him. Such a brave little Lopmon didn't deserve abandonment... "Want to check up on them later?" Kuro seemed quite pleased with the idea, nodding his head briefly in response.

"Mastering Dark Digivolution though...", Ari's tone got a bit more serious at this part. Neither Yana nor Ari saw Darkness as thoroughly evil, just dangerous if you were careless, like most that gave into it were. But these two could do it, they had shown it before and now once again. Ari drank some more of her juice before offering the rest to Kuro who obviously needed it more, "...How did it feel?" Clearly Ari wasn't curious enough to try such a thing herself, but she was curious enough to ask such a question. Meanwhile Rei and Yana continued their chat. Even with her use of Dark Digivolution, Yana still saw the best in Rei, her kindness and friendly disposition, her love for her partner, with no idea towards the extent of her corruption... But when she mentioned the sponsor showing himself the girl frowned. She had seen it... A brunette not unlike herself facing another tamer she met in Terabyte city: "Be careful with that one... The girl in question is either too confident or too careful. Her Digimon partner only used its rookie form... She did most of the fighting herself with some kind of bladed golden umbrella and a wierd box with darkness.", explained Yana, obviously hinting that someone who was willing to turn a digimon battle into one between tamers was obviously desperate to win. The desperate are always the most dangerous... Rei's confidence eased away her worries, earning a smile from the Russian tamer, who simply crossed one arm under her chest, rubbing her cheek with the other, "...I hope its not that one... Her or the DATS Agent from Terabyte City. Both of them have their fair share of tricks and clearly believe the ends justify the means." Then Kuro mentioned Walter, the Lopmon they'd been fighting, and Yana's expression saddened again as she slurped some more of her juice, letting out a sigh, remembering the same kind Walter they had worked with before, "I hope he's alright... His tamer looked pretty cold..." She would have asked if she really had to kill him; but it was a silly question, and even Yana knew it. Walter would rather been killed than surrender - that was the extent of his resolve - for reasons Yana could only imagine until she actually talked to him.

The Blackagumon gleefully took the juice, seemingly sipping it down in one go as he let out a happy sigh while hearing Ari's question, making him frown lightly as he pondered about her question. How did it feel to undergo a Dark Evolution? It was a tough subject to explain, especially considering it was him that was being asked. "Dunno really, feels as natural as breathing to me. Albeit I wouldn't advice it to be used by one who can't control their darkness. I'm able to retain my sanity because of my own existence, and Aneki's power." The Blackagumon looked at Ari, seemingly a bit fascinated by her question. However, as the duo was talking Reikiko frowned visibly at the mentioning of two opponents to be wary of. "Hmm Jeremiah? He seems pretty tough from what I remember, even if his partner is in a Rookie form." However, it was the other opponent that made the girl tilt her head to the side, a hint of curiosity appearing in her eyes. "So I got to be careful of an Umbrella and some weird box? I guess she'll have plenty of tricks at her disposal. Did you see anything of her Digimon? What type of attacks does it use, what effects on the opponent? If she is as tricky as you say, I imagine there will be quite a few traps that the girl's partner might have." She pondered aloud, trying to imagine what type of opponent she would be fighting. A bladed umbrella... a box that could unleash darkness from within? Quite suspicious if she was one to speak! "But my head sure hurts like hell, that Walter packs a punch! Don't think I ever had someone playing bongo on my head that loudly..."

Ari giggled softly as the thirsty Kuro eagerly chugged down the whole juice in one fell swoop, she had a hunch he'd feel thirsty after all that. It came as no surprise - in no small part thanks to the aforementioned dark digivolution - but also due to the intensity of the whole battle. He commented using Dark Digivolution came as naturally as breathing but didn't advise anybody else to use it; if they couldn't control their darkness. Ari shot a glance at Yana with these words, knowing just how true they rang (and knowing even Yana was starting to realize it) and simply answered vaguely, "Yeah... I agree with you there. If you're gonna be controlled by darkness, might as well stay away from it." Drinking some more of her juice, Yana raised an eyebrow and looked up into the sky, rubbing her chin and trying to remember. Indeed that girl had clearly gone out of her way to not show what her partner could do; wriggling her finger, Yana explained the one trick she had seen, "I saw her Bakumon use some kind of gas. Poison gas of some sort no doubt? In any case, if you fight her and see him breathe a wierd cloud, be sure to stay away from it!" Yana nodded in agreement, it seemed like the kind of opponent who would rather fight herself and use everything else - partner included - as her personal box of tricks. To each his own... Rei was obviously interested in this girl more than Jeremiah, either she suspected she would end up fighting her or she wanted to pull ideas for her next bout. "You should take a nap or go to the infermary before the next round.", Advised Ari, "Or at least get yourself a McBurgermon! I saw a stand over there."

So a Digimon that used some sort of poisonous substance? A peculiar gift for sure, but with that revelation she knew that it would be necessary for her to be careful about a certain type of combat. For a moment she turned her gaze away from Yana, seemingly looking at Kuro while pondering if she would be able to complete the battle against that girl without exposing her secret, a part of her wanted to be confident that it was possible, but if she wanted to ensure her victory then she would surely need to proceed with all her personal tricks also. "Aneki, can we return to the dorm? I could use a bit of rest before the next match." Kuro's request made the girl think for a moment, mentally agreeing that it was wise for her partner to rest up a little before the big event, in the end they didn't knew what type of situation they might end up in later on, and having Kuro back at his peak might be necessary if she wanted to win! "Think I might take your suggestion and get Kuro some rest before the next round~ I'll hope you be cheering for me Yana. If things go like I expect you might be in for quite a surprise." Grinning mysteriously the girl turned her back at the duo, making Kuro nod lightly at Ari before walking off after his tamer, hoping their little encounter was going to pay off with preparations for the upcoming duel.

Kuro was too tired. So much he actually agreed with Ari's suggestion for once, he was never too keen on heeding her advice whenever she suggested him going easy on something. It didn't seem like the problem laid with Ari suggesting, but rather with Kuro having an essential issue with going easy. But having just been in an intense fight while dark digivolved with a lot more of them to come certainly changed his way of thinking, at least for the time being. Yana just looked at the tired Digimon, then his tamer with a pondering look, finally smiling and nodding when the girl agreed to take up that suggestion: "You should!", she confirmed, smiling brightly and nodding once more, blushing slightly, "Of course I will! You're my favorite in this tournament after all..." As she watched Rei leave with Kuro, Ari hopped back to Yana's side and couldn't help but notice something interesting... Yana hadn't gone back to frowning sadly. Was finding someone to cheer for just what she needed to carry on in this arena? It was unlikely she would suddenly grow a liking for combat, especially with so many of these participants being far too desperate for the victory. But she would hang in there, for her friend's sake...

Zachary was teleported out of the arena along with Mytholomon-- or rather now, Panthermon as the digimon reconverted back to his rookie form to better maneuver around the stadium of the arena. Despite the place, the stands were narrow as he walked by, so a smaller form was more appropriate. Plus it allowed him to conserve energy for the matches to come. 

As they observed the clearly vigorous crowd and cheers as other fights went on, Zachary was just trying to keep himself busy. His last fight ended well with them winning, and also making a new friend. With sheer luck, he ended up fighting a young tamer like himself. While she had little experience, she had the potential to grow stronger. Like a good sport, Zachary didn't delete her digimon, nor did they exceed the fight too much. They left the battle giving the opponent a good handshake and their digimon not too badly injured. He hoped to meet that person again in the stands to possibly trade contacts with her and maybe even give her some pointers. 

Zachary and Panthermon proceeded forward. They didn't draw attention as they were still unknowns int he tournament and also everyone was busy with the other fights lasting longer. Still, Zachary kept an eye out. He wanted to advance, so he glanced at the competitors too. 

However, he did see someone he know in the stands so far by herself. "Panthermon, look. I'ts Yana!" Zachary said, spotting the girl with her Gatomon. Walking forward a bit briskfully, Zachary approached her. "Yana! Hey, i didn't think I'd meet you here." Zachary said, waving to her as they approached.

Panthermon too bowed his head in greeting to her, showing his respect to the other tamer and her partner. "Good evening, Yana, Gatomon," the jungle cat said politely.

"Are you in this tournament too?" Zachary asked, wondering if she was competing or just watching the matches.

With Rei gone, Yana went back to doing what she had been doing before... Absolutely nothing. With a sigh, she slumped down onto a nearby chair, eyeing the empty arena. Preparations for the second round were still ongoing and would likely be so for a good while; more for the participants sake than the arena itself. Many had gotten wounded in the last round, even those who managed to move on. The digimon would heal a lot easier and faster than a tamers, for those whose fights... Escalated... Calmly slurping her juice, Yana crossed her legs and leaned back on her chair, trying to relax:

"That Rei... I hope she's alright...", Ari commented, "I felt something different about her this time."

Yana just nodded, gulping ominously... Indeed she had felt it much before actually running into her now, when she saw her fight. The fact that she appeared to have mastered the evil mark was troubling enough, what did she have to go through to achieve it? The dark haired tamer had hoped her friend would call her. But then another familiar voice would pull her from her eerie thoughts. Turning towards it with a smile, she came face to face with Zachary, one of the few participants whose fight had been reasonably enjoyable thanks to his sportsmanship, "Zach...! Yeah, I didn't think I'd be here too...", she uttered, blushing and looking away, slurping some more of her juice.

"That's clearly not Yana's style.", Ari giggled at Zach's question, nudging her tamer's arm playfully, turning to the tamer and Panthermon, "Good evening to you too!"

Indeed, she would look terribly out of place in the spectator's stands, one might wonder why a girl who could hardly hurt a fly be doing in a tournament. This tournament of all things... Fighting competitions were her mother's love, one that Yana never took up.

"Yours was a good fight...! Congratulations on winning.", Yana smiled brightly, giving him a motivational thumbs up, "Have you heard who you'll be facing next round?"

Zachary smiled at Yana. She was a great tamer, and a respectable one at that. Despite the dark nature of this tournament, the desire to be honorable in the conduct of others like them was something both Zachary and Panthermon wished to continue. Hearing her compliment to their fight, Zachary smiled and rubbed the back of his head modestly. "Oh, thank you," Zachary said, "I was lucky to have an easier opponent next to others. I felt bad that we went a bit far, but the tamer is a nice person. She seemed very friendly. I'm hoping to meet with her soon and talk more." Zachary said as he sat down next to her with Panthermon and Ani/Gatomon between them.

Zachary couldn't help but smirk what a cute couple Panthermon and Yana's Gatomon looked like together. They being both cat types after all, it seemed rather funny to imagine if they got to spend more time together. Panthermon merely lied down on the ground, resting from the fight.

"Honestly the fight would of been much harder if I didn't have my modify cards with me. They really are real game changers," Zachary said as he showed Yana his cards, the Shellmon's Hydro Blaster there. The card he used to win in the fight. Because his opponent's digimon was fire based, water was the best way to defeat it. Luckily, they held off in power so they didn't really delete Solarmon.

Answering her question about being in the tournament, it was a complicated question as well. "The fact we all got the same message from the digivice... makes me think this is more than just some reckless tournament to see digimon fight each other. I sense something else afoot," Panthermon said, a somewhat brooding tone to his voice as he glanced around the crowd-- seeing many blood-thirsty people wanting to see more carnage in their fights. "All digimon love to fight, but there is a limit to the kind of carnage one would allow to bloody their paws with."

Zachary pat Panthermon on the back, trying to ease his partner's worries. "Yeah. We are kind of concerned by the nature of these games, so we thought it was best to compete and find out the answers. A tornament is one thing, but with such high stakes-- even the risk of deletion? That is a bit twisted. At least with us, we don't delete or download data unless its a last resort." Zachary explained to Yana.

Finally, the question to if he knew his next opponent, Zachary blinked. "Um... no i have not yet. Why?" Zachary asked.

His next opponent was near done finishing his match... and witnessed the clear carnage that was possible to happen there!

Ari had already given the rest of her juice to Kuro, but clearly Panthermon needed it too. It was odd seeing him like this too, just like

Kuro both of them were strong fighters, far too active to be loafing around like this unless they were truly and thoroughly exhausted. He

would defenitely need the rest so Ari decided against chatting with him for now.

The cards huh... Yana had seen Haru use them before, and other than Haru a good few other tamers. She never actually paid them that much attention, mind you. For a long time she simply saw card using as a different way to grow stronger, other than trying to help your Digimon reach stronger forms. But in this tournament where digimon were unable to reach beyond Champion level, the cards suddenly got a lot more relevant, "I guess...", she answered a bit casually, ignorantly even, "I can't actually use those, so I guess its a good thing I didn't join then?", she commented with a dismissive chuckle. That said, it was a good thing to keep in mind for the future. He even showed a Shellmon card, the Digimonb whose attack he'd recently used. Once she got strong enough, getting strong cards would be the only way to break that limit...

But then Panthermon spoke out loud the very same eerie feeling Yana'd been having since she got here, before even; "Yeah, i think so too... Its one of the reasons why I'm even here.", she commented, smiling slightly that she wasn't the only one to think that way, "The sponsors either want to scout out potential enemies, new recruits, or something more threatening..."

She nodded approvingly at his words, not deleting data unless it was absolutely necessary. Loading it like she'd seen in some of these fights (from the DATS agent of all things) was an absolute taboo, one that neither her nor Ari had any interest in commiting. There were better ways to grow stronger, other than doing so at the expense of an innocent life, "It scares me how quickly people here resort to such methods... Guess it was to be expected when you consider who's sponsoring it."

"You should both be careful around two of them: A girl with an umbrella named Zo, and DATS agent in Glasses named Jeremiah. Those are the most likely to seriously hurt you without a second thought.

After being offered the juice, Panthermon perked up his head. "Oh. Why thank you," he said politely and took the juice. He gingerly sipped it through his mouth with the tiny straw-- oddly acting alot more civil eating food than most Rookie digimon would . Such a well mannered cat when he wanted to be.

Zachary shook his head, knowing how much of a rarity Panthermon was.

Yana seemed was not involved in the tournament. That wasn't bad, though Zachary had hoped to one day face her in a friendly battle with their digimon. If nothing else, for them to improve one another. He was curious why she blushed though as he turned to the stands around. He did in fact see the end of the battle with the man she described. He deleted one of the player's partner digimon and downloaded their data. Zachary gasped as he saw this, it being a rather harsh thing to do to any tamer! Panthermon looked with a firm resolve, Zachary was more rattled by it.

"I... I don't believe it. Why would any tamer do that to another? They wouldn't want their digimon deleted either and he just..." Zachary stopped, trying to calm himself before he let his anger at this inethics rule him.

He sat down again and listened to Yana, explain about how they came for the same reasons. "Yes, though for us to actually do actual change if something is wrong, participating seemed like the right way to go. Although, for how long we can, seems to be the issue. " Panthermon replied as he glanced at the Gatomon next to him.

However, what Ani said next really did shock them. Zo. Panthermon and Zachary jumped at the name. It couldn't be ?! "Z...Zo? Wait-- Is she a girl with red hair, large glasses, Spanish accent? " Zachary asked, wondering if it was indeed the same person. They met a girl like that. It couldn't be the same Zo... could it?

She could swear Zach was disappointed by her not being in the tournament... Did he just want to see her fight or did he actually want to fight her? Regardless, even if Yana wasnt' very much of a fighter, no way she'd subject herself to whatever rules Crow and his minions had cooked up, even assuming they would keep them. If he really wanted a sparring match, the he might get luckier outside the tournament. He did react quite strongly to Jeremiah's loading of his opponent, the most extreme action for one to take against a Digimon. Yana shook her head again, it was hard not to when she thought back on it, idly crossing her arms:

"It's not even the first time I've seen that man do that. If you wind up against him, fight as if Panthermon's life depended on it. He will certainly not hesitate to end it, or yours.", Yana spoke gravely, hoping Zach wouldn't make the mistake of underestimating his opponent, adjusting her glasses as she turned her gaze back to the arena... Still a long way to go until the next round began, "I refuse to let Ari be used for their entertainment...!"

"Nana-chan is soft like that... But, that's also what makes her so sweet~!", Ari praised, nuzzling her tamers arm and being petted in the head in return. Ari had accepted Yana's protective love a long time ago, plus it made any fight they had to do much more meaningful.

But then Zach and Panthermon were obviously fighters, so they were right in their element. As for the second opponent to look out for, his reaction was rather different, almost as if he knew her. It was hard to see from so high up and she defenitely didn't know about the girl's accent, but after scratching her chin a while, "Hmm, I don't know anything about the Spanish accent but that does sound like her...", she commented, before asking an intrigued question, "Do you know her outside of here...? What kind of person is she?"

It was her! Zo, and also the name DATS was new to Zachary as he had never heard of it up till this point. However, he did know Zo. She was the same girl they met in the jungle alone and helped get her out of there. "I did. We met her in the jungle and worked to help her. Zo was nice. She was a sweet girl, even though I couldn't speak to her cause she spoke only spanish. And your saying she is like that guy?" Zachary said, gesturing to the Jeramiah character in the arena.

Zachary couldn't believe how much was going on and what was changing around him. She barely had her digimon out of the egg and now she was some sort of fighting beast? That couldn't be right.

Refocusing back to Yana, Zachary was curious now more about Jeramiah. "What is DATS though? This is the first time I heard of it," Zachary said, looking over at the details of the guy on the big screen.

Meanwhile, Panthermon would glance at Ani and purr softly, the black cat enjoying the company of another feline. All the while he tried to rest up for the big fight ahead. The last one was very easy for him, and if they were going up against Jeramiah, he tried to keep himself zenned for the upcoming battle.
