(Notes: Oji-san means Uncle, and is a term that's typically used in japan for younger folks towards those who are older than them, but not quite old man age. So it makes sense for Kiyo to say this as he doesn't know Hyde's name.) Kiyoshi closed his eyes slightly, shaking his head in disappointment at those surrounding him. Most of them were angry enough to well, talk about how these individuals deserved death. Death was never an option Kiyoshi wished to take, and while he wasn't a pacifist and was certainly a person who could throw punches and keep up a fight; he wouldn't actively attempt murder... "And you're all getting so ahead of yourself." He spoke as if he was talking down to a bunch of children, and his arms being crossed gave a similar statement in his body language. "You're all so pumped to commit mass genocide out of good will of killing bad guys, that you're missing the main point here." He shook his head again, and put his hands behind his head. "We don't know who these people are. And as a result, if we can even kill them without getting our asses whooped." He tilted his head, and while he knew this tamer they were suppose to head off to find could potentially deus-ex-machina them out of a tight situation, it was still good to not get in over their heads. "Don't be impatient. I'm just as angry as you are at this, but you know my opinion?" His eyes took on a dark look, hoping the others would see him before they made their way off to their newly found journey ahead. "Death is way too nice a punishment for scum." Shortly after saying that, he gave a shrug. "But hey, whatever helps you all sleep at night. Let's all just head off shall we? Oji-san has the right idea." After the final line, Kiyoshi was already half way across the camp and nearly out of the grounds.

Yana was already flushed from the mixture of heat and Haru's sudden closeness, as well as surprised by her blonde friend's bubbly side - an impressive contrast with her normally cold and detached mood - by even then nothing could have prepared her for what she said next. She actually leapt slightly, startled by her correction, "Eeeeh?! Haru-chan, wha-...!", Yana would whimper, squirming with half hearted whine yet completely unable to bring herself to deny it. But soon, the blonde's wandering hands gradually eased and mellowed out the fidgety tamer, earning a relaxed, purr-like sigh... She knew where she was going, and Haru rubbing her neck was the only thing that soothed that aching, unplesant feeling the mark gave her: Unable to hold on to the girl's hand, she simply raised hers in front of her chest innocently. Haru complained about how everyone reacted to her good mood, promptly pointing out only her outfit was new. "I do...! It's very... uhm... light.", Yana then smiled brightly, bashfully struggling to not stare too hard at the blonde's revealing attire, finally looking into her eyes, smiling earnestly and nodding, "Looks really good on you!" Meanwhile, Ari and Vee continued to discuss Haru's newfound happiness. She could guess why Vee was worried, even Ari found it unusual, but she knew better than letting themselves be so overwhelmed with concern, not when they didn't really know anything of what was going through her mind other than "she's happy". Instead, Ari smiled at the two girls, and then looked back to Vee, "She looks happy. Whatever's causing it can't be that bad, right? If it turns out she's happy for the wrong reasons, you can set her straight then.", Ari shrugged, doing her best to reassure Vee while trying to push aside the unease at seeing Haru like this, even if she wagered the blue dragon probably couldn't. Regardless, watching the flustered yet graddually relaxing Yana still made her giggle. She had never seen her own tamer this happy, "As for Nana-chan, i doubt she can see anything like that~" However, the discussion of murderous religious cultists have everyone standing on edge, and even Yana scowled clenched her fist angrily, "They have to be stopped... One way or another. But, killing on sight... Isn't that what they do?", even in between her silent anger she couldn't bring herself to clamor for death against those she hadn't even seen with her own two eyes. The very thought of her friends getting caught in one of their traps, however, was completely unforgivable, and only being close to Haru like this allowed her to stay calm and reasonable, "How do we recognize that tamer girl though?" The Deputymon also mentioned another tamer, so it was important to recognize her and team up with her as soon as possible. "We should find out who or what they are. If they truly are religious fanatics, simply killing them will only attract more to their cause.", Ari commented what most of the others around here seemed to be forgetting about zealots and their martyrdom. With this, Kiyoshi got ready to head out of the camp, and Yana nodded in agreement. They could talk all they wanted but until they actually saw what they'd be up against; all they were doing was guessing. They had to see the enemies with their own eyes before deciding what to do next. Yana looked back to see if Haru went along, simply smiling demurely; she was too shy to outright offer her hand, but too loving to pull away from her either. As much as the other girl teased her, part of her felt Haru doing all of this with her was a dream come true, and her overjoyed smile said as such...

It did give Haru something to giggle more at though. "And I think you're The only one missing the point here dude. The idea is we go out there, find these guys, and get them to stop being total tools. Cults don't typically see reason, and honestly, since we're talking digimon here, it's not really genocide. To commit genocide, you have to kill something. They need to die. Deleting a digimon doesnt kill it. It just sends it code back through the system. They'll be reborn as a digiegg, with a whole new chance at life... Its not a matter of impatience, dude. Its a matter of confidence. Our objectives are preeeetty straight forward, and I doubt it'll be much of a test of our abilities..." The blonde would say with an even expression. Haru as she was, knew better than to keep her insight purely to herself. It might not make her popular, but the facts were what they were. The deputymon mentioned another tamer had come through her, noting her digimon looked strong. Yeah, well, anyone could look strong. She'd take his words at their intention, though She knew better than to assume this tamer was someone who would be inclined to help. She'd come out her alone. Left alone. Gave no name to the deputy and no location of any camp she might make while out there. Plus she knew about the cult, which the gathered tamers had just heard about themselves. If they were deleting their victims, than who was left to tell her about them? Still. She had no proof. No facts. This was just an opinion and Haru didn't really care to share baseless opinions. Especially not when Yana was so much more fun! She'd lock their fingers individually together and make a few kissy faces at the nerdy looking Russian. "Neh neh~! Why do you call me Haru-chan when you wanna kiss? Is it reflexive? I mean, it's cute, I like it, I'm just saying~!" The girl would deliver her teasing in Japanese this time, if only because she knew Yana could speak it, and didn't know if anyone else here could. Vee nodded at what Ari had to say. He'd never seen Haru ever in such a... Bright mood. He always felt that she was quiet, content sort of girl. This was a side of Haruhi he doubted truly existed. The strange and sudden nature of the change. It just... Bothered him. Was it really as simple as Ari was making it out to be? Probably. The Veemon shrugged, mostly to himself. Ari's suggestion made him cock a nonexistent eyebrow up at her. She was right in regards to the first part. Finding out who they were was fairly important, but the last bit about martyrdom? "You uhh... You know martyrdom only works when there's a following left to be inspired, right. Pretty sure the idea is that we're be uhh... Feeling with the lot of them, if we were gonna do it that way. No survivors level of thoroughness... I mean, don't get me wrong, learning who these guys are and what they're about is kinda important, but martyrs are only raised on the backs of the faithful, ya know?" The blue warrior would say almost sagely, if it weren't for the lackadaisical way he carried himself. With that, Haru was ready to go. She had no questions, but she wasn't going to go run off until everyone else was satisfied.

The Deputymon shook his head firmly at the question about the girl's involvement in the mission.

"Nah, she actually was looking into them before we got here. She seemed genuinely interested in something, mentioned those guys had something that fascinated her. I'm not sure if she has a digivice, didn't see it but the area around here often experiences stormy weather so your signal to her might get disrupted."

He pondered for a moment, seemingly trying to recall something before he shrugged his shoulders lightly in response.

"She looks around the age of the two ladies in your company, wouldn't say there was anything special about her aside from her mismatched eyes, they had different colors ya know."

The Deputymon finally seemed to had an idea as he declared with a bit more confidence.

"But her partner is a Blackagumon, you don't see those around often, especially not with tamers due to their nature so you shouldn't have much problems recognizing her. However, I'd recommend that if you don't find her, or the cultist hideout by nightfall that you take shelter somewhere in the ruins. The storms at night can get really violent, and getting lost would be the least of your worries then!"

If the group decided to leave the camp, they would soon find that the Ashlands spread out before them, in the north there were some outlines of ruins visible, possibly the location the mysterious tamer had been at! Maybe a clue could be found there?

Upon leaving the camp the party will have several post rounds before time will advance, I'll give more details down the line~

This was turning into one bloodthristy group, well, minus the girl with black hair and her cat. Guess there had to be one in every party. Otherwise they'd all just go nuts and start killing everyone they saw. Hyde stopped paying attention to the group's discussion on the ethics of killing cultists and listening to the Deputymon. Ok, so they were looking for a girl with mismatched eyes and a Black Agumon. Well, at least if she fell victim to the cultists, they could identify a body. Hyde blinked as he looked at his flask. That was a dark thought. Maybe she should lay off this stuff for a bit. Anyway, time was of the essence here. Time to get moving.

"If you guys are done discussing the worth of religious lunatics, it's time for us to go," Hyde spoke up, turning to head in the direction the Deputymon indicated, "If not, well, discuss it on the way. We've got a bit of a walk ahead of us." "Right behind ya boss!" Sable spoke up, following behind her tamer as he began to walk away. Weiss, the white Pawn Chessmon, lingered back, glancing at the others. "I apologize for Hyde. He gets a little bit excited when it comes to fighting "'idiots'," he did airquotes around the term, "Especially when he's been drinking." "All cultists are morons!" Hyde called over his shoulder, "Let's get going already!" Weiss sighed. "We really should get going. If that girl is still at the ruins, she might be in trouble."

The young tamer would listen to the words of the others, and would nod. “One thing we can all agree on then is that the cultist’s need to be stopped, and as Hyde over here has stated we can discuss matters further on the go.” Hyde’s digimon Weiss would speak of the girl, and her digimon a Black Agumon expressing worry for her well-being. Drake would then chime in on everything that was occurring; “That poor girl could be walking into something that she might not be able to handle there are some tough digimon in that area.”

Alex would start to follow behind Hyde without a second thought, and Drake would follow suit quickly making his way to his side. “Hey big guy, have you ever been to this portion of the digital world?” He would question out of sheer curiosity. This guy appeared to have experienced a little time here in the digital world. “I know the Deputymon said we might not be able to pick up the signal from the girls digivice, but it won't hurt to give it a go.” The boy would reach into his pocket, and would extract the handheld device hitting the button in the center to turn on the map. [color=orange“What does it say Alex?”[/color] Drake would question. “It's not picking up anything, but static even if it did pick something up these waves of digital dust will more than likely distort it making it not accurate.”

Looking down at Drake he would smile, “Buddy, we sure have made it a long way. Remember last time we were in a big combat situation we were almost useless. Now we have the power to be of some use to the team.” His partner would smile; “I told you Alex, stick with me and everything will be alright.”

A deep sigh escaped from him again, but he shook it off. He was right on the outskirts of the camp as things were being said, and could barely hear the muffled complaints thrown back to him. As he had attempted to throw out that being bloodthirsty was useless, while he wasn't above vengeance, people stood up to try and play the hero and be the superior number. So to him, he believed this was gonna be a bumpy ride. He was worried about how they would fair in combat, and his combat generally involving wide-ranged toxins, he was equally worried if anyone would take heed of his warnings should they get into a situation he needed to use it. Speaking of warnings, he had taken heed himself of the one Deputymon said. If they didn't get to somewhere safe by sundown... He heard the droning of a digivice, and moved his head to look at Alex trying to track the digivice of the person they were going after. It seemed to have some sort of static interference. Maybe it was the ash of the Dark Area. As a result, Kiyoshi pulled out his own digivice and set it to try and scan for any BlackAgumon in the area. "Wow okay, it says Deputymon. Haha, that's not even close to a BlackAgumon." With a shake of his head, he looked up towards the ruin outline in the distance. "We should head towards the ruins, finding this tamer can be the secondary focus. If we don't want to worry about getting ravaged by storms at the last minute, I suggest we head towards those outlines in the distance immediately." He said rather loudly, his inner optimism kicking in slightly at the hope they wouldn't all be on their own thing again. Whether he seemed like it or not, he did want teamwork here, and only a few people seemed to be doing it.. Maybe it was because he was an outcast to friends or acquaintances that made him feel this way, who knew. But the last team he worked with seemed easier to deal with. "If we find them on the way, that's great. If we don't then we don't, we're in the general system so they're probably closer to it than we think, and I don't really want to search all over dark area for them." He shrugged and continued walking, putting his hands behind his head, his d-tector in one hand. He seemed more chill than he probably should be in an area that could devour him.

While her teammates were still busy discussing what to do with the cultists when they found them (Yana was glad they settled with not killing them on sight) the raven haired tamer's mind was elsewhere. Haru's touch had her utterly and completely distracted, humming with a content, timid smile, clearly happy from recieving all this attention from the blonde... It more than made up for her teasing mischief, and thus Yana allowed herself to enjoy her affection, wishing this moment would last forever. She didn't even mind being in the infernal ashlands anymore... Even while massaging Yana's sore spot, Haru further argued that deleting a digimon wouldn't kill them, hopefully putting an end to the discussion about killing the culprits on sight, instead allowing the evil digimon a chance to be reborn pure. If they attacked them, there would be no reason to do otherwise, but the other possibility that at least some of them might be corrupted humans like Hamelin after Gepetto posessed him. Would they be able to kill those? Did they even have any right to play judge, jury and executioner? Yana would have shuddered at the thought if not for Haru's reassuring touch... But then the topic momentarily shifted to the other female tamer, and the more they talked about her the more Yana recognized the description: "Heterochromia... And a Black Agumon? That's defenitely Reikiko!", Yana commented, sounded pretty sure of herself, to which Ari looked back and nodded. She had fought that BlackAgumon (Kuro) herself once, while Yana struggled to bring her back from her Mark-induced posessed state. Reikiko was the reason Yana warned Haru about her Mark, maybe if she got the two girls to talk she would finally understand why she should confide in her partner? She could only hope... Regardless, she added a bit more about Reikiko to the rest of her teammates, "That tamer is really strong, meeting up with herwould be a huge advantage." Ari and Vee also had their own discussion, about martyrdom, and how he believed that only applied if any survived to take up the banner. While Ari agreed with his words, she didn't think he was properly considering the difficulty of wiping out an entire cult. After all, faith isn't something you can see with the naked eye. Thus, she shook her head doubtfully, "That's only if we managed to take each of them down. If we don't, the ones left behind will only grow more feverent.", Ari observed, which was the last observation she had to make on the matter... Anything else would have to wait until they actually ran into the enemies, since they couldn't do much more than guess until they actually saw anything. But just before they headed out, the impish blonde decided to fool around with Yana a bit more, not only surprising her by speaking one of her two native languages, but asking a rather embarassing question that made her eyes widen! Kiss Haru?!! Did it really sound like she wanted such a thing?! More importantly, did she...? Yana knew the now mischievous girl was only playing with her yet even then her cheeks grew red beyond all reason, "K-kiss...?!", she stammered, completely flabbergasted and squirming slightly, "S-stop, Haru-cha-... I m-mean, Haru! You make me s-sound like a pervert if you p-put it like that!!"; hopefully nobody would be able to hear their conversation if they addressed each other in Japanese She didn't deny it, Haru would likely pick up on that much... The girl's touch still kept her from getting overly worked up, and instead Yana was left to dwell on the seeds the girl had just planted. Would it really feel that wrong...? To kiss her...? It defenitely didn't feel wrong, or even lewd. But just thinking about it still made her feel really embarassed! It's not as if she disliked Haru - quite the opposite - she even had a way to make her forget all about the pain that cursed mark brought her; but now that she saw her friendly side and felt how casually she played around with her... Then maybe... Regardless, there was little time to ponder what she and Haru really felt about each other; for the time being Yana was content with just being close to her like this. Nodding at Kyoshi's suggestion, she followed along with the group, with Ari in toe, looking at the ground for clues and trails. She was particularly attentive to what might look like a human and an Agumon's footprints, since Reikiko was undoubtedly following after the same target. In the meantime, she'd occasionally cast curious glances towards Haru, only to blush, fidget, and look away if the blonde looked back...

"Then let's be extra thorough, yeah?" the Veemon would say as he nodded toward the departing tamers, indicating they ought to get going. The duo had seemed to fall just a few steps behind their tamers, likely do to the absorbing nature of their conversation. Meanwhile, Haru was practically skipping through the ashen wastes as the group carried on, the only thing stopping her was her desire to continue teasing her Russian friend. The blonde would cover her mouth with both hands and fake a look of shock as she spun around to walk backwards, but still give Yana her attention. "Oh my god! You totally wanna kiss! Holy shit, girl... I was just joking..." she's lower one hand slowly to her chest and lay the other on her cheek, allowing it to rest in her palm as she blinked innocently at her friend. "But... But if... If you really wanted to... I-I think that would really... Really make me-!" the blonde would hurry her face in her hands and shake her head to either side quickly. Before this could be interpreted as something beyond a joke, her eyes would peak out, her hands spreading our to form a moch barrier around her face. "That's you. That's what you sound like. Too damn cute... So! Who's this Rei chick? How'd you two meet? What's her deal? the little slugger would ask as she spun around once more, falling back to stand closer to Yana. "Also, more importantly, how is everyone! Jeez guys, what's with all the gloom and doom? You D think you were walking through some ash fallen hellscape on a mission to eradicate some crazy killer cultists or something, like, c'mon crack a smile, God damnit." The orphan would say with a light chuckle, not taking her eyes off their suroundings. It felt so good to be so close to... Something. The something that just filled this whole place. It made her heart beat faster and it thrilled the girl to her bones. The whole prospect was exciting, and would only get better! She couldn't remember why she had come out here, but she was happy she had.

It was rather unfortunate that there had been a light ash storm raging over the landscape, for else their ability to investigate would have been able to be much more expansive, while currently their perception was limited to the nearby area. Still, with the group moving as one toward the ruins in the north, it seemed that for the time being none of them had to deal with an eventful encounter with one of the many predators of the Ashlands.

Curiously enough the group's attempts to use their digivice to track down the girl and her Digimon seemed ineffective, perhaps as a result of the storm that was currently raging, but they could still advance toward the ruins with little to no difficulty. The ruins themselves seemed divided in three buildings, mostly still left whole, and with their two-store elevation provided a decent shelter from the storm.

The buildings all seemed to look identical, albeit their purpose couldn't be identified that easily. Nevertheless, if the group decided to investigate things further they would likely notice that Ari had caught a trail! Feline Digimon did have a sensitive nose due to their hunting instincts, and the Gatomon had clearly caught a scent... a scent of fresh blood! It came from the northern building. And if any of them was to approach the building their digivice would make an ominous beeping noise, accompanied by a single flash of light as if to warn them: something dangerous could be waiting for them!

"As much as we would love to see hot girl make outs, I think we should save that for after we kick cultist butt. Heck, that could be some extra motivation for us," he gave a playful smile as they walked. Though the smile would soon fade when the ash storm hit. Dammit! Sand storms were bad enough, but ash just gets everywhere and clings to you. And for a guy wearing white, it was horrid! He'd have to wash his clothes for three days straight to get it all out. Thankfully, it wasn't too heavy, so they could still see where they were going, and it wouldn't take long for them to find the ruins.

Once there, Hyde almost reached to take a gulp of his flask but stopped. The damn thing was coated in ash! With an annoyed grunt, he pocketed it for now, mentally noting to take a nice big swig once he can get it cleaned up. He looked at the buildings ahead of them, before glancing over to his partners. "Alright. Got any ideas Sable? And, Erm, Sable?" Both Digimon were covered in ash, making them look almost identical. The Pawn Chessmon on the left wiped away some ash, revealing himself to be Weiss. "Well, since there's multiple buildings here, I would suggest we split up to try and cover more ground." The other, Sable, bounced in place. "Yah, and if something bad happens, scream really loudly so we can come and find your body!" "Sable!" "What? We're dealing with cultists here." "If we find any cultists here," Hyde replied, "We won't be the ones screaming. But yeah, let's split up and search this place." He glanced at his digivice to see if anything was nearby. Nothing yet. But years spent here had long taught him not to rely on supposed quiet for safety.

Upon their journey they came across three abandoned buildings from the shape of the buildings it was impossible to determine what the buildings were used as. Pulling his goggles across his eyes to block the ash from getting into them. “Something is up ahead guys, can’t make out what it is though.”

He groaned a bit, his face contorting into that of a snarl. A storm? Really? The young male coughed, shaking his head a bit as he pulled his hood over his head to try and block out some of the soot. It would be lucky cover for them to protect them from any aggressive digimon in the wastelands, however it was a double edge sword and they were blinded almost as much. It was hard to hear with the wind blowing the storm around, but he heard what Alex had said and immediately went to check his digivice. "Its just a dead screen of static. Must be off because of the storm screwing with it." He shrugged it off, not really bothered by it, and wanting to stay more alert to anything lurking in the storm that could attack them. They were lucky to still see the object of destination in the distance. Kiyoshi gave a blech sound when they arrived, and it looked to be more like an old village than what he'd hoped for. Harder for them to get out of this storm. His digivice suddenly started beeping wildly, the static turning into a blue screen of death as it forcefully pulled up the scanning device in a warning. He tilted his head in confusion, it wasn't actually registering anything. "Okay yeah, its majorly on the fritz." He managed to say, before a blinding white flash came from the digivice. He shielded his eyes, before looking around the settlement. "Yeah, I don't like this. Seems pretty ominous to me..." He said, before groaning and rolling his eyes. "I'd suggest we don't split up, if there is something here then splitting up will only make it easier for it to pick us off, if its hostile." He crossed his arms and looked around the group the best he could, his digivice was still going haywire.

Yana didn't really have anything against Haru's usual self, but it did make it really hard to understand what she was feeling. She did express her thoughts bluntly enough, but the dark haired girl often felt she wasn't being honest or fully accepting of herself; when that happened it was like she suddenly built a brick wall around her. But now it was different. She was happy and chippery, more than willing to express their friendship, even if she did it like... that... It appeared with Haru's newfound cheerfulness also came a mischievous teasing. If that weren't enough, the older tamer also joined in the fray, further adding to her embarassment. When she turned around not only caught Yana staring but also uttered those words, there was nothing for the shy ballerina to do but shake her head, flustered and frustrated her face growing impossibly red: "W-wrong, wrong, I don't!! S-stop that, m-meanie!!", she interjected in a mumbling mess of words, pouting and frowning in a fuddled look, speaking in Japanese if only so Hyde couldn't understand. Desperate, she raised her hand in front of the blonde tamer's mouth, trying to silence her words but succeeding at nothing save for possibly replacing them with a muffled version she could still hear too well. It was a lie obviously, but the truth was she didn't really know. She didn't not want to kiss Haru, that was about the only thing she knew... Of course, when the girl mentioned Rei, Yana's embarassed squirming and stammering immediately stopped, the girl eased up and immediately took the change of subject as a bail out op, "Rei-chan? She's a friendly tamer, pleasant to be around. Though you wouldn't guess it from how much she and her partner love fighting!" Unfortuately for their investigation, the rising Ash storm made things rather difficult. Yana grabbed a handkerchief from her satchel and wrapped it around her face to avoid eating dust, her glasses actually doing a good job of protecting her eyes so long as she wiped them clean every now and then. They had to get pretty close to the ruins before they saw the three buildings. But then Ari sniffed the air, her ears twitching with an alert look Yana just couldn't miss, "What's the matter, Ari...?", she inquired, slowing down a bit. "There's something up ahead...", Ari answered, loud enough that her teammates to hear her, pointing towards the northernmost building, narrowing her eyes that way, "There's blood in the northern building!!" As if to accompany Ari's words, Yana's digivice started beeping, and the two girls immediately prepared for an impending attack, scanning their surroundings. Kiyoshi made a strong pointing, splitting up in this deserted wasteland in the middle of an ash storm was a dumb idea. Instead, Yana and Ari stood close to Haru and Hyde, waiting for the others to react to the information she'd just given. But the Russian tamer still looked pretty worried... She could only hope that Rei was alright.
