The Birth of Nexus!
Description and Plot:
Hello, everyone. I want to share with you all a good plot and group opportunity. For those of you who do not know, the group Nexus has been formed and accepted on Digimon Exodus. It is a neutral group that welcomes all members, including those of other teams to join in for its benefits and goals. Based around the creeds of the Crest of Friendship, it is a group with the interest to bring digimon and humans together in a safe and friendly enviorment. Originally formed to help tamers in the real world gather and communicate with others. This was a difficult task, considering many work to keep their status as a tamer or spirit user a secret in the real world. However, as Nexus grew, so did the desire to be a pillar of support for both humans and digimon seeking a safe place to live and even network to find work.
The story plot here is to actually write in the lore that lead up to this group's foundation and growth. For all those interested, this is a chance for you to get good posts in, some bits, and even take part as one of the founders of Nexus. Members who participate and who join Nexus will be given the title of Founder, and depending on your RP preference, even have 'Admin' Status to show you are a true leader of Nexus.

And now... the actual plot:
Part 1: Friend List
Summary: The hardships of being a digimon tamer and raising a digimon in the real world is rough. For a new tamer, Zachary, he had met a few tamers and not all of them were lucky enough to have a digimon who could easily hide themselves from prying eyes or the general public without arousing suspicion. The excuse of a stuffed animal only goes so far...
Feeling this frustration, Zachary decides to create a blog in the form of a "Digimon Fansite" and reaches out to other tamers. It is there he learns more of others, and not just tamers, but even 'spirit users' who can actually become digimon. Motivated, he begins to message them in a wide chat, hoping to understand more about their experiences so far and their troubles as tamers. In his heart, Zachary hopes to do something to help them all better manage their double-lives as 'digi-destined'. (
I hate the term but there you have it ) Special Rules: This thread is to take place over the 'internet'. As participants should be doing this in their 'home setting' with a computer and discover the website, while still conversing or writing about their day to day lives. The goal is to mix RP in the setting along with computer responses as if you were writing OOC on a forum site saying how you have real digimon, in a more cryptic light. Till you can be sure the other person has a digimon or has knowledge of the digital world.
Part 2: Connection
Summary: After some time of connecting with others, Zachary finally proposes to meet with them in the digital world. While glad they all have met one another and connected, it is not enough as they know others are like them out there. Driven by his desire to help others like them, Zachary proposes they create a place of their own. A place that they can meet, interact and work with their digimon in a safe environment. A real place, such like the website.
Interested by this fact, they now have a lot of work ahead of them to make this lofty dream come true. Such a project to create a space needs massive amounts of data, and the computing method to do it. However, as they make their way to Terabyte City, they learn of a digimon, Datamon/Nanomon who is one of the most skilled programmer in the digital world. However, with a bitter attitude, he will be a difficult digimon to convince to help them to their cause. What will they have to do to earn his favor?
Part 3: Bit-by-Bit
Summary: As Datamon does agree to join the movement to create Nexus, after some convincing, it becomes clear they require more than just motivation of willing members. Funds. The need for money to buy and maintain equipment (and a certain greedy Datamon
) is essential to run any organization. Traveling to Borealis City, Zachary and his friends learn of a certain eccentric individual-- a card trader named Starmon. Very curious as one who plays the card game, Zachary proposes they try to see if Starmon would be interested in providing business for Nexus, along with sponsoring them. However, he is not easily convinced. So he proposes if they could beat him in battle, he would do business for them. But its not a battle they expect... He is challenging them to the card game
Special Rules: As this is not a combat based game, all will gather what digimon cards they might possess, and work together to come up with a strategy to beat Starmon. There will be no major in-TCG rules outside of type, attribute, and level from what he has on the board. Different combos may be suggested as all will have a say in how the battle can go. Either way, to show he as a card trader has a future with those interested in the digimon cards and to beat him at his own game.
Though be prepared... he may be a sore loser .
Part 4: Power Up!
Summary: More and more members are signing on to the website created, and showing more and more people around the world seeking connections to one another. As the growth becomes more obvious, so is the source of power needed to make their dream a reality. Not only do they need a base of operation, but a power source to run it. After discussing with Panthermon and Datamon, the group of heroes realize they need a considerable power source in order to not only run Nexus, but to power a digital gate that physically links the website itself to the spot they create Nexus.
They soon decide on an island located in the Field of Clouds in the sky section, however they still require the actual power source. Realizing the most potent source of a digi-core around is usually in the care of celestial digimon, the group ventures to White-Gold City. However, their luck is not so good as the 'holy' digimon distrust the intent of giving a digicore to humans in the interest to form a group.
However, despite their trouble.. salvation shall come in the most unexpected way.
Part 5: Stress-Test
Summary: Despite Zachary's desire to make a safe and friendly environment-- it is clear his kindness is naive that everyone will see it that way. Despite his protest, while promoting good conduct is a must, they need a strong security presence as well. With that, they venture to parts of the digital world to find certain strong digimon who would be interested to help them out.
Details: The story will be divided into two parts-- one who seek to persuade a dimplomatic but somewhat odd digimon but well known for his strength and valor. Another digimon who has a stubborn personality-- a lone and ruthless warrior. When this thread starts, you will have option of who will go to persuade whom. Your story experience will determine your interactions.
Part 6: Resonance Execute!
Summary: After much work and diligence, the group has amassed several allies and more and more members around the world are communicating on the website. The time had finally come to program the digicore and construct the grounds of Nexus. However, as they are about to launch the boot up system to form the anchored digital gate... Digimon from the White-Gold City appear, led by a representative of Jupitermon. Angered that the humans wish to form their own group with a digicore provided by
However, motivated by the desire to bring humans and digimon-- of any kind or type together-- Zachary stands firm, and so do the allies they had gained along the way.
After a great battle and even a bit of 'sappy words', the launch of Nexus truly begins. With the launch of the program, the digital gate is formed and the space around them is transformed, becoming a new flying island for the new group to grow with. And so a new generation of tamers and spirit users are now free to cross into the digital world under the unified goal to make new friendships, grow together and work together. Even other digimon are encouraged to visit and join, as all are welcomed in the interest of forming stronger bonds with one another.
And so Nexus is born...

BEES EDIT: Zaber (Zachary Scryer ). Please refrain from using the word "plot" in the title of a promo thread like this in case people get the wrong idea. I'm all for a team promo/joinup thread but, yeah, the word plot is just going to mislead people.
