NɆXᵾS
Organization Name:
Nexus
Organization Crest:
Crest of Friendship
Present Rank:
Team
Organization Focus:
A group of tamers, spirit users and digimon who desire to meet others, make friends and team up for mutual interests. As a neutral group, everyone is free to seek their own adventures and purpose in the digital world, including sharing information, joining others on missions, trading and even competing in tests of skill and battle in a safe environment. Creating bonds with people, either they be human or digimon is what this group is all about.
Alignment:
Neutral -- The guild operates in a 'do as you will, bring no harm to your neighbor' ideology. Like any website, ones are free to persue their own goals. However, should one bring harm to Nexus on an interior level, Nexus admins would be forced to deal with them-- usually resulting in expulsion of the guild.
Area of Operation:
The Skies > Cloudfields -- Small island off the edge of the sector.
Description:
Originally formed by a tamer from the human word, he understood the struggle of raising a Digimon and even fighting in both worlds without being discovered by the police (Real World Authorities and Government). Motivated by this universal struggle that many tamers shared, he created a website to connect with and find other people who had knowledge of Digimon and the digital world.
After time in the digital world, he devised a way to create a place between the digital and real worlds-- for humans and Digimon to coexist and connect with one another. With the aid of several Digimon, they were able to create a digital gate to a set location, tied to the very website he created. Now Digimon Tamers, Spirit Users, even lost solo Digimon can freely travel to this place in the interest to network with others like them, and go on adventures together. It quickly grew to become a Digimon Adventurers' Guild called, " The Nexus."
The group adopted the symbol of the Crest of Friendship, symbolizing the organization's goal to bring like minded individuals together to create powerful bonds, allowing tamers, spirit users or Digimon who had been isolated, to not have to feel alone again.
The goal of the guild is to promote coexistence between like-minded humans and Digimon. Either in the defense against wild Digimon, other dangerous forces that threaten either world, or hell those who love money and exploring the wide digital world. The guild is a community, like a small city with both humans and Digimon, finding jobs to go on, working together in common projects, even battling against one another to help improve their strength and skill. All of which was done in the means to connect people together.
Location Description & Facilities:
Located in the skies near the angel digimon's domain, it is the perfect place to allow of Nexus. It is not only an organization, but a bridge between the human world and digital world. On one of the small islands, the guild has a facility the size of a small town. The data makes the place more urbanized. Many buildings and facilities are built here for the purpose of Nexus, including an inn for people to rest and recoup, a 'hospital/health data center', market, and mission boards-- to advertise simple to critical jobs for groups to undertake.
Another feature is the digital Colosseum-- a computerized training ground where members can enter competitions with one another to compete and test their fighting strength. The arena is capable of changing its form, becoming several kinds of terrain, even creating full grown dungeons/labyrinths. Usually newer members are encouraged to train there to become better antiquated with the challenges they might face in the digital world.
One of the most important is the Transfer Tower. The Heart of Nexus. It is a building in the center which is the HQ of the guild and also the nerve center of operations. While the lobby and laboratory are accessible, only Admins may be allowed into the upper floors and into the core. A special digicore allows Nexus to create the anchored Digi-gate from the guild's 'disguised' digiport from the creator's website-- to the physical space of Nexus. It also allowed the use of this same gate to teleport people from the guild to other locations in the digital world. While it is not possible to be completely accurate in one's arrival point via the teleportation, it allowed speedy access for members to reach missions without delay and quick returns when needed.
Nexus Staff NPCs:
Datamon: A smart, smart-ass, wise-guy digimon who runs NEXUS' digital coding and connection to the real world. Being a wiz at computer data, he was naturally selected to help with tech support and the other technical aspects of the guild. Sadly his genius is only equal to his ego and his lack of social demeanor. He makes an unhealthy habit to state how his intelligence pales in comparison to everyone else, even when he is not trying to piss you off.
Jeremy (Human) : Datamon's tamer partner. Though met through the connections of the internet, the two had become close as they are the only two that can appreciate the same level of genius they possess. Jeremy is capable of running the site and Nexus from his side on Earth but also is a classmate of the founder. When Jeremy and Datamon are not working on Nexus, they are often competing with one another in challenges of wits. Ironically, Jeremy is just as sharp as him, and not as crabby. Despite the differences, the two make a miracle team when it comes to programming and hacking skills.
Starmon: An energetic, hyper digimon who is also a merchant. He specializes in selling digital goods-- but his favorite item to sell and buy are digimon cards. He is a big card enthusiast from Aurora Card Hall from Borialis City, and loves to play the card game to challenge people, often for high stakes. Upon meeting the leader of Nexus, he was offered a job to sell cards and items there, to which he accept. He offers great deals to Nexus members. Of course he won't go easy on you if you try to beat him at cards
Marineangemon: A loving, caring miniature digimon who agreed to run the hospital and boarding sectors of Nexus. Though not combat oriented as many other angel digimon are among the Skies, he had a great love of living things and rather spread warmth and joy. For him, to be apart of Nexus is a joy compared to the White Gold City.
Gankoomon: An eccentric, muscle bound, self proclaimed 'hero of justice' digimon. While considered one of the great Royal Knights, he is an odd digimon who boasts the true paths of strength through vigorous training, dedication to justice and other rambling that often goes on forever. However, while he is a handful at times, he is proud to offer support to young warriors and fighters learning to start out on adventures. He is rather fond of loud, grandstanding speeches and dramatic comments, can be unwittingly pushy in his attempts to help others and is particularly protective of youths, and also can be surprisingly emotional at times behind his visor. While he has a heart of gold, when he or Nexus is threatened, he won't hesitate to bring the hammer down to defend it. Gankoomon helps manage the Colosseum and organizes training exercises for new members.
BlackWargreymon: A quiet, firm and disciplined Digimon. Blackwargreymon lusts for the thrill of combat and is always itching for another fight. However, he is rough around the edges and often sees himself as far more superior than any other digimon, even among the presence of well known power-houses like Gankoomon. However, his desire to find worthy opponents had spurred him-- with a little encouragement from some of Nexus' members-- that his talents could be used to train new warriors that are as strong or stronger than him. This desire encouraged him to become one of Nexus' Colosseum managers, overlooking people who seek advance training. Though if brutal in his methods, he always strive to bring out a person's true potential and is not without honor. He also serves as security for Nexus.
(More to Come Later)
Equipment:
- Digivice App-- Comm-link : Members of Nexus have a means of communicating. Through the digivice, one can communicate with other tamers/spirit users via their digivice, both in picture and voice in real time. (Solo digimon will be given data installed into its own data and act as telepathy.) (5 members required)
- Digivice App-- Emergency Evac. : While in the digital world, one may use this emergency feature to teleport out of an area back to the HQ of NEXUS. It will only work on tamer/spirit user and partner digimon in close proximity (Solo digimon will be given physical app inside its own data to use) . (10 members required)
- Digivice App-- "CODEX" : For the extreme digi-enthusiast, this app allows the digivice to analyze, interact and identify digital signatures apart from digimon. It can scan layers of encrypted data, allowing the ability to detect and find specific objects and energy sources in an area. As such, the CODEX becomes like a mini-hacking tool, allowing people to use it to easily access and change small bits of data in a localized space. In short, it is a quick-tool used to hack certain data clusters, such as a lock or computer terminal. Excellent for treasure hunters who are trying to get past ancient digital security. Becomes more effective if two or more members use at the same time. Cannot be used to hack NEXUS' own systems. (15 members required)
Traits:
- Card-Shark: Many users of Nexus enjoy the use of cards to enhance and power up their digimon. As such a member can use 7 instead of 5 modify cards per thread. Also, the guild has a deal with a local card-shop owner to have a 20% discount off card packs. (Provide link from here when purchasing from card shop) (4 members required)
- Power-Bond: For people utilizing DNA Digivolution/ Bioemerge Digivolution, when used, digimon's stats in all catagories (power, speed and defense) increase by 20%, while in their fused state. (8 members required)
Team Ablity:
- D-fault: An aegis like shield with the crest of friendship flashes before the digimon in the team together-- and creates a healing energy within them. This energy purges a digimon of any negative stat-effect upon them, and makes them immune to them for a set duration. This duration is based on the number of members around. The number of team mates in battle equals the number of turns this effect is in effect. This does not purge self-inflicted buffs used by the effected digimon. Must have at least 2 members of the team together to trigger. May only be used once per thread. (12 members required)
