Drinking with a comrade [OPEN]

It was midnight in one small bar from Moscow, and a dude was inside, drinking three bottles full of vodka served in one glass while his partner, a Bearmon named Theorhodes was sleeping in the second floor due to the barman being closer to them. It seems that the guy was enjoying it hanging there as he was singing with the drunk tone, as a normal person, he liked to slack off and do the missions tasked, but when drunk, he was a totally different man in which the vodka worked as a truth serum towards him, telling what's really happening inside.



-"Ебена мать! My life is killing me, my father keeps forcing me to work on what I don't like to... I still repeat to him that I don't like it, but I'm forced to do so because my mother is dead. I'm cursed to people don't understand my laziness to death."- He said as he then picked another slip of the alcoholic drink and started to drop tears full of sadness. -"But Theo is my best pal, and I will not fail him, I had to keep my sorrow chained."-

Anais was just finishing her midnight run. It had been productive day for the D.A.T.S. agent, and as was habit she enjoyed a little jog to work out the stress. But not everybody in her family was as diligent. Little brother was good example: He was lazy and spent most of his time drowning his sorrows in Vodka, as if to replace the tears he shed. This wasn't to say she didn't enjoy her drink. Quite the opposite, after finishing her little workout, she stopped by the bar on the way home. Half to drink herself, and half to check if her brother was there... And surprise surprise, there he was. He was the sad drunk, while Anais was the ill tempered one.

Her simple entrance in the bar was enough to have male eyes turning her way - her tight fitting sports bra and half unzipped navy blue hoodie pulling it off nicely enough - but they knew better than to approach her. Most of the men around here were the pushy type, and those had already learned the hazards of using that method on her.

"младший брат?! Drinking again?! Tch... If you worked half as much as you drink you would be rich man by now.", there wasn't much work he could do at this time of the day, Anais was no idiot. Thus, she sat down next to him got herself a drink anyway, simply pointing down at Frank's glass was enough for the bartender to know what she wanted: If anything, it was best if her brother wasn't drinking alone like old man thrice his age. Mom's death hurt, of course it did... But, she died a long time ago. No way she would have approved of Frank loafing around and drinking away his sorrows after all this time.

Wiping the sweat off her face, she downed the small glass in one gulp, sighing refreshed as the reviving liquid trailed down her throat, before looking at Frank and seeing just how much of a shitfaced mess he was right now...

Frank looked at the side where his older sister was looking back at him, looking to one loser that slacked entirely and hanged out in the bar all the days, suffering the things of every day, and that was himself. If his mother didn't took care of him when younger, he whould have been developed with a different personality known. What whould his mother think about him right now? Whould she still thinking about a poor misunderstood dude or just a now unhappy bastard? He had his eyes full of tears even when covered by his lazy bangs, he took more of his vodka in one glup, he groaned with a anger and sadness tone, sloth was his sin that was killing him.

-"Sergei should deserve our father attention, but of course, he is adopted so nothing will be worth it."- He said while he moved his neck, cracking it. -"Nuestra madre era muy bondadosa y estaba dispuesta a ponerme en el lado de la ciencia si yo lo deseaba, pero esa enfermedad tuvo que llevársela."- Said Frank with a fluid spanish learned from his mother, then he took another sip of the vodka, and thrown down the glass with half of the alcoholic drink intentionally. -"Но наш отец горячей кровью, он не хочет, чтобы какой-либо из нас в других дорогах, которые не являются военными.."- He roared in the silent, breaking it as the other clients took the attention towards him, which he was sobbing, still looking at his sister.

Frank looked back at her, lazy as always. Sloth was more than just sin, it would be death of him: She knew it, their father knew it, their brothers knew it. Shit, probably even his partner Theo knew it. Anais' own partner was doing her own work, looking around for stray digimon that might have wondered into the real world. The problem was not the occasional stray, but some powerful virus types that might have snuck in too. But that was Lena's problem. Right now, her problem was her brother, wallowing in misery. She frowned at the mention of their adopted brother not being worth father's approval, but drunk as he was she didn't care as much as she normally might have:

"Hmph... Big words from lazy boy. Mother would not have approved of you loafing around in bar every night.", Anais didn't speak spanish since she never bothered to learn, but she could still understand every word. Soon, Frank moved to aggressive drunk mood, "конечно. Father knows we good at it. Well... I am.", she taunted again with a smirk, nodding towards his smashed glass. She smirked, leaning back a bit as the bartender poured another glass, "You might be if you trained and worked instead of just drinking.", looking at little brother to see his reaction, she calmly took another good chug of her drink.

Maybe he'd take the bait this time. He was usually too lazy to bother, but now he was drunk... Regardless, Anais hated it whenever he implied mother would approve of this. It was disrespectful.

Frank sighed deeply and looked right at his sister and stood up, he was decided to have a change in his life, he nodded and looked to the people in the bar.

-"That's it, from right on, I will work harder for my comrades, but not as my father wants, but, rather, with my own career of the choice. I will be the scientist of the military, I will show him he is wrong!!"-

Alas, her attempted taunt had failed... Or so she thought. Other people had an easier time getting Frank riled up than she did, or perhaps he was smarter than she gave him credit for; enough to antecipate the move. His words when he stood up however, were enough to make her puff her cheeks with surprise, clearly trying very hard not to spit her drink. Instead she just swallowed, laughed a little, and then spoke, tapping her forehead:

"Uhm, младший брат... You realize you have to study to be good scientist?"

At least now he sounded like Anais herself when she was younger... A LOT younger, probably about more than ten years ago... She was a child and completely sober at that point, but it was a strat she'd had to guess.

"I'll believe you if you still say that when sober.", she quipped, chugging down another glass of vodka.

Frank slowly raised his view towards Anais, he knew the answer deep inside and chuckled. -"Это легко, большая сестра! I secretly went to the science courses and the library of the army when my father sent me to military training in my young age. I even crafted one prototype of a hovering bike and its blueprints in the shades of the secret."- He said as he gave a smile knowing the chance of how to win a discussion when Anais sounds like herself from ten years ago. -"Believe me, I will still hold my words even when I'm not drunk."- He said as he looked to the horizon, remembering about how his little half brother was cheering him up to rise and face against their father. -"I will say these words louder in front of Dimitri, he will support me like one closer brother."-

Anais was actually surprised to hear him say this, even if he was drunk, and even if he bullshat often enough, this was going a little too far with the joke. Her shaded eyes would widen, but nonetheless her skepticism would win, as she stirred her glass and leaned back slightly, "I will believe you when I see you ride hover bike. If it explodes in the first three minutes, doesnt count.", she shook her head, refraining from once more asking if he would still say same thing when sober. He'd probably insist he would once again.

"I swear, you are turning Dimitri into rebel without cause.", she shook her head once more, before turning into a more stern tone and glaring at Frank, "You better not turn him into drunk too."

But then, Anais' iC beeped, it was message from Lena: A mission!

-"It's not turning him rebel, I call it 'Make your childrens pick their path in the future'."- He said as he chuckled and then looked towards Anais' device, he closed his eyes and grinned. -"Why not start my new way right now? I shall take this mission."-

For once, Frank reacted to the beeping just as she always wanted him to do, by immediately volunteering to take it. Standing up and looking at him, she chugged down the rest of her drink and dropped some money on the bar:

"Hmph... Too bad, since I am already taking it. I'll let you come along if you want.", Anais scoffed, crossing her arms in a smug, challenging manner. Yet deep down she was actually proud. Even drunk as he was, her little brother was getting ready to actually do something for once.

The two would head out of the bar, where Anais would head towards the red square. She fortunately still had her gun, but not her assault rifle. This would have to do... Besides, she wasn't even allowed to carry the latter on a daily basis.

Frank just grinned and thrown some cents on the table, as he then quickly climbed upstairs to call Theorhodes and tell the mission, being a Digimon, he couldn't just walk towards to the entrance, so Frank wisely asked him to get out through the window and the walls, the guy walked downstairs right to follow his sister. -"Theorhodes will arrive from outside, so let's go."- He said as he walked a bit zigzagged due to his drunkness while he tried to focus on not look in doubles. As soon as the Bearmon reached them, Frank high fives him. -"Esto será para tí, madre."- He whispered spanish words.

Frank paid for his drink and called out to his partner, having left him outside. Not being a member of DATS, he was unable to hide him inside his digivice: Only iC types had that functionality, and without it he had to do what Anais had spent most of her younger days doing: Hiding her Digimon from the world.

"Lena is in Red Square as we speak. Let's go meet up with her.", she would inform her brother as she walked

Anais headed on, her mind focused on the mission she had just taken. Even as Frank met up with his partner, she barely reacted. Drunk as he was, her little brother had better not get any ideas of flying solo. But as they arrived at the famous square, with the Kremlin in sight, it was too late to be any law abiding people around... But there was no sign of Lena either:

"Hmm... Now where is that girl...?", Anais wondered, resting her hands on her hips and looking around. Lena just said to meet her in red square, nothing else, "Keep your eyes peeled младший брат..."

Frank ordered to Theorhodes to hide in a trashed box to not call anyone's attention, even if the place was not having any signal of humans, he was just sensing one bad feeling, even drunk. -"Not getting a good vibe of this place, but I sense a bad thing coming right to us at any moment, because someone is watching us, and it's not Lena."- He said as he looked to both sides, then placed his arms right at the back of his head, walking towards some pots while tilting due to his drunkness, touching the many flowers from there.

Frank wasn't the only one to have a bad feeling, Anais had it too. It wasn't unusual to feel like they were being watched at this time of the day, with Frank looking too drunk and Anais in her reasonably skimpy workout outfit.

"Let's just find Lena and get this over with...", she'd comment, cold but cautiously, looking around but finding nothing

Yet as Frank passed his hand through the flower pots, one of them would talk back to him: "Uhm... Frank... You shouldn't touch a girl's flower so casually...!"

A closer inspection would reveal Lena hiding between the shrubs, with a bashful, embarassed blush on her cheeks! Yet they wouldn't have much time for talking it seemed. As Anais looked around, she found a silhouette staring at them from an alley...

Frank looked around and then focused his attention towards Lena, he seemed that had no time at all, and went to the point into an interrogatory. -"Lena, why you're hidden in the place? What's exactly going on? Does it has something to do with this..."- He paused for some moments and sighed nervously in silence. -"This strange feeling I'm sensing? Not sure if you feel the same, I hide Theorhodes too because of it."- He said while he looked at the old box that was near one trash can which contained the Bearmon hidden inside.
