Jurassic Chaos (Open Rp-- second attempt)

The roar of the traffic from New York City continued as it always did as it ran around the Williams Academy on the west side. School had started over a mounth ago as the seasons had changed from summer to fall. The air was growing crisper and the leaves browning-- for what trees there were in the city. Zachary Scryer, one of the kids who attended the school, had already adjusted to life now-- especially with his changes. Since becoming a Digimon Tamer, he knew the routines now to keep an active eye out for danger and also to keep his partner hidden. 

Panthermon, his digimon partner was always near. However, it was difficult to hide a giant black jungle cat, especially from his parents in his room. However, Panthermon was a unique digimon with the stealth of a jungle cat and the ability to become invisible. As such, he could easily go around unnoticed most of the time. For now, Panthermon was hiding somewhere on the top of the school, looking through a window as he crouched low to the ground in a sitting position. In it, he could see Zachary with his bag with other kids, getting ready for a school trip. 

"Okay, class!" The female teacher said, drawing their attention. "We will be heading for the bus now. Remember to stay in line and behave yourselves." 

Needless to say, it wasn't so orderly as all the kids proceeded out of the school and onto the bus. Everyone was chatting and talking about their own things. Following them from above, Panthermon easily watched Zachary as he was on line for the bus and eventually got on. Though Panthermon couldn't actually get on himself, he planned to merely hop along the streets and rooftops, following where Zachary went. 

What is the nature of this trip,  Panthermon asked Zachary via the small connection between them. Another one of the digimon's talents.

It's a class trip to the Museum of Natural History, Zachary explained, doing his best to keep his expression in check so no one would think he was talking to himself. It's a place with exhibits to show the history of the planet, at least a good portion of it.

As he sat in his seat, he glanced around. Some of the school kids he was with were nice, but some bad apples were always among them. The kind that caused trouble for others. Before long, the bus started up and once everyone was on board and seated, it drove out from the school towards the Museum of Natural History.

Little did Zachary know just how exciting it was going to be from what he started to believe.

(OOC NOTE: For those of you just joining-- this is an Open RP thread taking place around the Museum of Natural History. In the span of a few posts, a digital field will emerge engulfing the entire museum. The people inside who have no knowlege of digimon will be frozen in time as in a parallel space, digimon will begin to emerge. Taking on the qualities of the exhibits around them, Dinosaur digimon will emerge and now prowl the museum till they are capable of escaping the digital field.

Your goal, defeat the dinosaur digimon-- and eventually find the BOSS, the leader who was responsible for bringing all his dino-friends with him.

Feel free to be creative. Research 'Museum of Natural History" exhibits and consider what other digimon would fit in to this setting. However, by whatever means you enter the digital field from the inside or outside, key terms apply.

1. the inside public are not around within the digital field-- to prevent mass panic, to them its like time stopped.

2. Keep within theme and do not let the battle ultimately destroy the building that would forcefully influence others' actions.

3. Also when digital field ends and if digimon are successfully defeated, the museum will return to its former state without anyone truly noticing.

4. Also, while the people inside trapped can't interact-- the outside is still moving at normal time, unable to enter the area due to the 'fog' making it incapable to enter-- unless you are a digimon or have a digivice.

"Stop wriggling," Jo hissed to Strauben, who was currently in his Caprimon form and rather conspicuously shifting around inside of her backpack. She glanced around furtively, praying that no one had seen his strange movements — or heard her reprimand. Fortunately, she seemed to have found a quiet lull in the crowd. Apparently no one was interested in dinosaur feathers — the big T. Rex replica across the room instead drawing the bulk of the interest. 

"It's stuffy in here," the little wolf growled. Jo smacked her bookbag to get him to hush, under the pretense of shifting its position on her back. 

Ever since things had gotten dicier in both the Digital World and the Real World, Strauben had virtually refused to leave her side, which led to some, ah, logistical problems. It was hard for a walking, talking wolf monster to blend in, even in the streets of New York City. In his Fresh and In-Training forms, she could squirrel him away in bags and pretend he was a rather realistic stuffed animal, but she was beginning to think the constant complaints weren't worth the effort. Jesus.

Still, they were worth the Museum of Natural History and its absolutely stunning dinosaur exhibit. She'd never seen such a scientifically accurate display! Oh, pop culture was still stuck on "dinosaurs are big, slow, dumb lizards" but man, the real science was so much fucking cooler. Dinosaurs had feathers! They were warm-blooded! They were fast and smart! Jo had already been there for two hours and didn't plan on leaving until security threw her out, much to Strauben's infinite irritation.

Of course, the museum had other exhibits, too. But — dinosaurs!

[Hamelin Herriot]

((Using...absolutely nothing))

New York City. It was somewhere Hamelin had never been before, having mainly spent his time at his home in Canada, and just recently the Digital World. But this place was far away from both, and it was where Hamelin had decided to go. After having Gepetto forcefully removed from him, the poor boy had been left with no purpose in life. sure, he had Oceanis, but how long would it be before the digimon decided to abandon him? He already knew he would be a failure as a tamer, and Oceanis had already gotten so far without him.

And so, Hamelin sat here, alone, just outside the Museum of Natural History. He had left Oceanis back in the Digital World. After all, the ice digimon no doubt had better things to do, and an ice dinosaur would cause quite a stir out here in the Real World.

At a glance most people would simply assume Hamelin was just some beggar, draped in plain robes and simply sitting against the wall like a homeless person. The thin frame and white hair, an aftereffect of Gepetto's possession, added to the image of a miserable wretch most people would rather ignore. Many tried to pretend they didn't notice him, while others sent him dirty looks, expecting a police officer or museum security to shoo him away. In the meantime, Hamelin would just sit here, wallowing in self pity.
