PERSONALITY Jo is a somber young woman. Though she is quick to smile, that smile is fleeting and is soon replaced by a slight frown and creased eyebrows. She is not particularly adept at social interactions – a slight stutter when she is nervous (which is often) interrupts otherwise eloquent speech and conversations with her can take a couple strange turns as she panickedly babbles, afraid of creating awkward silences or displeasing the other person. Despite her social anxiety, Jo has a surprisingly quick wit and a dry sense of humor that keeps her from truly being a chore to talk to.  Jo is largely a social chameleon and will unconsciously conform to the views and mannerisms of whomever she interacts with most or is currently interacting with. Though she resents this about herself, Jo is uncertain how to establish herself as an independent person and keep from assimilating other peoples’ beliefs. SKILLS FLAWS ● FOCUSED MIND - Jo has an unrivaled ability to focus on the problem at hand, even when chaos is boiling around her. Originally this consisted of her staring deadpan at the computer screen and clacking away at the keyboard as her coworkers goofed off around her. Now ● CREATIVITY ON TAP - Jo is an untapped wellspring of creative solutions to difficult situations. The only problem is that in a group, Jo's timid voice is easily drowned out. ● KEEN INTELLIGENCE - Jo might not be good at much, practically, but she's damned smart.  ● REMARKABLE MEMORY - Jo doesn't forget a thing. Her mind is like a bear trap for even the most inconsequential of memories. Unless it's about where she last left her water bottle. Jo goes through more water bottles in a year than the average person uses in a lifetime. ● COMPUTER WHIZ - After four years at university for a degree in computer whiziness, Jo's prowess with a computer is the one thing she's not modest about. She's a damn good programmer, and she knows it. ● SOCIAL CHAMELEON - Everyone is a social chameleon to some extent, minutely altering their demeanor and behavior to better mesh with whomever they are currently with. Jo takes this a step too far. She finds it hard to hold onto her own, original thoughts and beliefs when contradicted or presented alternatives by someone else. ● INDECISIVE - Jo isn't good at making decisions on her own, whether it's where she should eat dinner than night or which direction she should flee from a rapidly approaching enemy.  ● ANALYTICAL PARALYSIS - Jo likes to analyze all possible options before she commits to anything. Unfortunately, this usually results in paralysis by analysis as she digs deeper into the myriad of choices. Compound with INDECISIVE for double the fun. ● WEAK WILLED - Jo is no match for anyone even slightly charismatic or socially dominant. She might jump off a bridge if someone a couple rungs above her told her to. ● OVERLY SENSITIVE - Teasing and barbed comments alike have a way of getting under Jo's skin like a freshly sharpened knife. She doesn't know how to shake off other peoples' opinions of her to stand on her own, and even a teasing insult can wound her. APPEARANCE Jo stands at a just below average height. She’s relatively slim, though she has a soft padding of fat on her thighs that embarrasses her but she can’t seem to shed with light exercise. She keeps her red hair cut short, occasionally experimenting with different cuts (she’s too embarrassed to style her hair how she really wants — a stylishly dykey cut that would scream to the world, “I’M GAY, PROBABLY,”) but generally keeping it somewhere in the realm of “pixie cut.” Jo has small hands and slim fingers, a feature that made her ragequit the guitar when her fingers couldn’t stretch long enough for the harder chords. Her voice is smooth (when she isn’t stammering) and a little lower pitched than average. BIOGRAPHY Jo had a relatively uneventful life. She came out as homosexual in high school — now that was a fun time. She and her mother went three rounds over that one, but a couple years of realizing that Jo was not going to change her mind softened her mother's outlook. Jo went to university to get her Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, which she then used to get a basic, underpaid software dev job where she would still have energy to work on her own personal projects once she clocked out at 5pm. She acclimated herself to Real Adult Life (tm) for a year, and just as she was finally settling in and getting the hang of this adulthood thing... well, the Digital World happened.

His mood shifts like the wind, but when he is in a good mood, Strauben is surprisingly loyal and enjoyable to be around. Those moods are rare, though.
