PERMANENTS
Several members have asked about special marks or blessings they have received throughout RP -- these were, we will admit, forgotten about during the rehaul. They will now be addressed in the form of "permanents," which will add a new section below your torments section in your profile. You do not need to worry about adding these, simply tag your character here with the mark/blessing/otherwise they possess and the updated description and permanents section will be added to your profile.
formally known as the "The Mark" -
○ THE MARK - The Mark of Plutomon, often simply known as "the Mark," is a branding on one's skin. This mark cannot be removed through any physical circumstances -- even scraping it off will cause it to appear somewhere else on their body. Traditional purification skills will also not work, being overpowered by the dark magic of the branding. This curse has a few effects, as listed below:
○ Marks the victim's soul to be taken -- causing phantoms (data fragmentation) of Digimon they have defeated in the past to haunt them and attempt to kill them at random.
○ Increases the power of Dark Digivolution, increasing any marked Digimon to receive an extra +5 OFF and SPC bonus when using any Dark Digivolution. However, weakens normal Digivolution, causing those forms to suffer a -5 OFF debuff.
○ The victim now has a weakness to Light elemental attacks.
○ Causes madness -- dropping the victim's sanity by one level, but raising their OFF and DEF by +1.
formally known as "Grandracmon's Mark" -
○ GRANDRACMON'S CURSE - A victim inflicted with Grandracmon's Curse has had their body infused with the data of a Grandracmon, through one means or another. This curse cannot be removed by traditional, magical, or holy means, requiring a special process to eliminate. This, of course, causes several great changes in their biological make-up, especially if they were previously human. These changes are explained below:
○ The victim will find their skin pale and their body heat cold, appearing more like a corpse than alive.
○ The victim will no long be able to eat cooked food like a normal person, needing to instead consume data to feed themselves. They will at times crave flesh and blood, due to the coding from the curse coming from databases on old vampire legends.
○ The victim will grow sharpened fangs to accommodate for this new hunger.
○ Religious symbols will repel the victim.
○ The victim's eyes will now be sensitive to light, though they will now be able to see clearly in even the blackest darkness.
○ The victim is now in full of the Darkness element.
○ The victim, due to having a mixed biological code, cannot stay in the human world for more than six hours.
○ Causes madness -- dropping the victim's sanity by one level.
○ Augments strength and speed, increasing the victim's OFF and AGT by +5.
formally known as "Jupitermon's Blessing" -
○ JUPITERMON'S BLESSING - This character has been blessed by the holy Digimon, Jupitermon. Their body is now full of positive and divine data, making them somewhat of a demigod, in a sense. This blessing cannot be expelled by traditional means, but can be dismissed indefinitely if Jupitermon is killed. The blessed one has been chosen as a warrior of light, and now benefits from a number of supernatural effects, as explained below:
○ If the blessed one is a human, they are now of the Light element.
○ The blessed one is immune to electrified status effects, the power of Jupitermon repelling and expelling them upon contact.
○ The blessed one will find their bodies far more healthy then before, raising their OFF and DEF by +2, as well as giving them a regenerative factor, restoring their HP by +5 every turn.
○ Keeps the blessed one's mind together, increasing their sanity by one level.
○ The blessed one can contact Jupitermon at anytime through telepathic link. This link additionally extends to all others with Jupitermon's Blessing.
formally known as "Plutomon's Blessing" -
○ PLUTOMON'S BLESSING - This character has been blessed by the undead Digimon, Plutomon. Their body is now full of negative and unholy data, making them somewhat of an archdemon, in a sense. This blessing cannot be purified by traditional means, but can be dismissed indefinitely if Plutomon is killed. The blessed one has been chosen as a warrior of darkness, and now benefits from a number of supernatural effects, as explained below:
○ If the blessed one is a human, they are now of the Darkness element.
○ The blessed one is immune to cursed status effects, the power of Plutomon repelling and expelling them upon contact.
○ The blessed one will receive +5 points in SPC and a special/darkness attack called a "Dangan" (japanese: bullet). This will take the form of a linear dark energy blast (color varying) from the user's palm or mouth that explodes on contact, dealing 10 damage. This attack has a one post cooldown. If the victim is a Digimon or Spirit Wielder, this attack is greatly amplified, instead dealing 25 damage.
○ Ruptures the blessed one's mind together, decreasing their sanity by one level.
○ The blessed one can contact Plutomon at anytime through telepathic link. This link additionally extends to all others with Plutomon's Blessing.
