Leyton had left the Sekai, he was free from it all, no crow, no hummingbird, no seven, he could leave all fo that madness behind and look towards his future. No more fighting, no more bills, no more overpriced apartments, just Leyton being Leyton. Ah, it was nice not being under a tyrannical dictator, maybe he could go join the watch or something. Him being him on a boring spring day, yep nothing gonna happen but heat and more heat, yeeeeeep a boring day, him walking though the desert. 

Not like there were going to be any disturbances or anything..

Unfortunately for Leyton, he had been followed. While the laundry list of 'things he didn't have to deal with' appeared to be growing, he forgot about one teeny weenie issue: that Shin Sekai didn't allow people to come and go as they pleased. In fact, those who left their ranks had a tendency to become bounty bait. Typical results were...well...fatal. Some people figured that it was all just a ruse to keep members from going. The fact was, the rules were very real. SS had more than its fair share of defectors and each and every one of them had disappeared. It was sad to think that Crow would be disappointed again, especially considering the recent turn of events. Tensions were certainly rising among the ranks and a fracture seemed almost imminent. How else could anyone hope to keep the group together if shit like this kept happening?

'Ugh, I'm sorry Ley-Ley. I think we could have been good pals.' True thoughts. As it turned out, it was Blight who had been following his buddy through the Sandsea. It was a surprise for some that he was even this dedicated to his organization, let alone that he was even part of one. When it came to this particular Digimon, however, there was a lot more to him than first glance. He was incredibly calculating and, surprisingly, ridiculously committed. There were a lot of hidden motives that he couldn't discuss. It was impossible to extract that information. Every day he lived was torture; he could handle being pushed around.

"End of the line, bud." Nukemon approached Leyton from the air and gave the man a good look at his cannons, all of which were armed and ready to fire. He wasn't the type to go about last rites, so he was just going to go ahead and get this party started. Perhaps he could have gotten this going with better flair, but he had a job to do. Defectors weren't awarded any dignity, even in a good joke.

With a sudden flash of light, the floating menace unleashed hell on the ground below. Hatches opened, revealing a slew of torpedoes, all seeking to annihilate those below. This was Nukemon's Nuclear Barrage attack. A series of explosions was sure to get the party started, right? With a bang.

Ah shit, of course someone came.... His damn digivice didn't delete the message quick enough... Leyton just couldn't defect nope, he had to be hunted down. Hell, he didn't even get to ask Andrea to go pillaging with him. Ah the stories they'd tell to their grandchildren... Wait what was he talking about HE HAD A FUCKING DARK DIGIVOLUTION. "Execute" he muttered just as the bombs dropped.

A massive mushroom cloud would cover the general area, surely a lesser digimon would have died on impact, sadly Blight wasn't dealing with a lesser digimon, no instead standing in the smoldering sand was a Blastmon, Leyton's Dark B-hybrid, how lucky was blight?

"What are you doing?!" he yelled at the Nukemon, "Did you not see my message? I'm not defecting! I just want some time off!" GOSH!"

He heard the news, there was a betrayal in the group he smiled as he saw who exactly was the one that had betrayed the group, Leyton. Edward was in the human world when he got the message, but that wasn't going to stop him from taking part in hunting down Leyton, after all there was a reward of ten thousand bits involved here, that many bits could get him what he wanted. Slowly he got out of his and Karisa's bed and opened up a portal, smiling at the still sleeping lover of his. With his blade strapped to his side he walked into the portal and into the digital world. He arrived far enough away from where Leyton was to avoid being detected by the man.

He didn't expect this however, he didn't expect to see another member of the Shin Sekai already there and fighting Leyton. It was Nukemon, a rather strange and powerful digimon, but a virus type. He knew that his own attacks would be dangerous to use in close proximity of Nukemon and he didn't want Crow to think that he was betraying them as well. So away from the battle on top of a dune he watched the fight taking out his black notebook to write down what he saw and any potential weaknesses that could show up that he could exploit later on. Waiting for the chance to hop in.
