There he stood, tall upon the Tokyo tower as he watched the nearby building illuminate the night sky with the bright blazing flames. Yet this was far from the end of his ambitions, far from it. In fact it was but the start of something greater. Today he would conquer Tokyo for his masters, to prepare Japan for the 'New World'

The General slowly raised his arm, the sharp nails reflecting the moonlight above him, and that seemed to had been a signal. A sudden wave of energy burst from around the tower, a large shockwave that flown all over the city, disabling all electronic devices, seemingly akin to an EMP wave, while at the base of Tokyo tower several large portals started to emerge, large box-shaped machines stirring into life as hordes of armed men ran into the streets, accompanied by a horde of Black Gabumon and Keramon.

The sight of the swarm of soldiers flooding the streets made him grin while the sound of the screaming masses became deafened by a single chant that was shouted in unison, his personal subordinates voicing the thing he himself couldn't:

"SHIN SEKAI! SHIN SEKAI! SHIN SEKAI!"

He had nothing to worry about, in the end surely the mellowed forces that protected this world would do little to stop his ambitions... soon the Shin Sekai would claim this city as their own, just like they did with Triton City!

Yet, it seemed today there would be more opposition, for in the distance he could see members of that accursed organization, the peacekeepers of Law and Order, the organization known as DATS engaging his troops. Still, even amidst all this chaos there were some who caught the scent of profit, for within the cover of the darkness in a distant skyscraper a figure had been observing the events.

"It appears we have an opportunity here... Send out a notice to the Wild Cards, let them know they have an assignment, one that might make or break their reputation as mercenaries."

RULES FOR THIS MINIBOSS FOLLOW.

01. This miniboss opens upon posting and will close on 18 July at Midnight GMT, or 8PM.

02. Anybody who posts in this thread at least once towards helping defeat the General will gain a flat reward of 20 POSTS and 600 BITS. An additional reward will be granted for beating each phase within 2 rounds.

03. However, the General will not be defeated easily, and it will take the combined efforts of your entire group and a yet to be revealed 'ally' to defeat him. This miniboss will involve several 'phases'. The invading forces should be attacked IMMEDIATELY in your first responding post in this thread; with attempts to close the portals happening in the first round. so no exposition please, people.

03b. The general must also be defeated twice. On the second defeat, an ally will reach the battlefield, and force the General into his final phase.

04. You may post ONCE in this thread per ROUND, wherein a NEW ROUND is begun when the General posts, which will foreseeably be under the account of Despair Sister . Posting TWICE before a new round will mean you will suffer a 100 Bit Penalty, so make sure you READ THE RULES.

04B. The General will post once within 48 hours the latest, but he will possibly post after a day passes and at least six people replied to the current round. However, this will be announced in the cbox beforehand

05. After the Miniboss is "defeated" in his final phase, the first person to post after the announced defeat post will be the one who deals the Finishing Blow Attempt to the General. Any other posts that come after this time will be deleted and not registered -- it's first come first serve after that deadline closes; it will be announced in the cbox at 12:00 GMT or 8:00 EST that the General can be defeated.

05b. Whoever deals the Finishing blow to General will earn a permanent "medal" in their profile inventory to discern them as the Hero of Tokyo. This medal is only flavor and grants you no abilities or extra post/bit bonuses.

06. You may choose to work solo rather than together as a team to defeat the General, but keep in mind that reading the cues provided by the mod involving certain attacks is advised -- teamwork may be needed in greater detail due to RULE 03.

Serah had taken off running at the announcement, and even more so when the official DATS signal came screaming over her digivice. The Tokyo tower had been set ablaze and bad digimon had begun to sweep the streets. So much for keeping a low profile. The streets were in chaos already, running away from the invading digimon and getting clear as soon as possible. However, pushing her way around, she choose to run TOWARDS The chaos. She took to the deserted and cluttered allyways. She was working her way slowly but surely to the battlefield, the chatter on the radio going on but she kept silent, focused to try and get into position.

As she jumped over a few parked cars and to the concrete, the small radio she had buzzed-- her partner cutting in.

"So much for that shower you wanted. Too bad." Commandramon joked-- once again showing his more pervy side to Serah.

Serah sighed, wondering why she and Commandramon were ever made partners. Aside from both being sniper enthusiasts, she knew her partner had a playful flirtation with her-- that she didn't take seriously. If anything it was just to see her reaction. Otherwise, he was very respectful to her.

"Save the flirting jokes for later, " Serah shouted as she ran forward. Commandramon was secured within her digivice, held in the breast pocket of her vest. So far she was putting her agile training to the test as she scaled over the walls and obstacles that got to her way, till she was close to one of the adjacent buildings to where the enemy was starting to come from. "We got work to do. If they get to the general population, many lives will be at risk."

"Don't worry, ma'am. I'm locked and ready to roll. Just say the word," Commandramon said through the speaker.

Kicking in the emergency exit door to the building, Serah ran up the stairwell leading up. She kept moving up through the winding platforms, already hearing the sound of explosions and destruction approaching. After a bit of a climb, sweat forming on her brow, she finally reached the top. Elbowing the door open, she reached the top and looked out. Aside the glow of flames and destruction, she could soon see the hoard of digimon begin to make their way towards the rest of the city.

Serah had picked her position well. From there, it crossed exactly where the enemies would have to cross to get further into the city. The position of the other buildings, the line of sight to the street and lack of cover there was the perfect place. Taking out her digivice, the IC glowed to life. "Time to work. Commandramon-- let's go!"

A small lens at the end of the digivice light up and data began to pixilize before it. It became a whirl like a portal and out popped out a small blue reptile clad in military gear and a rifle. As the data portal ended, he landed and turned to Serah. "Commandramon, reporting for duty!" the cheerful sounding cyborg reptile said, saluting Serah.

Serah tried hard to not let it crack that she thought he was cute 'playing soldier' but play time was over. Peoples lives were at stake and she couldn't afford to get caught up in his playful antics. "Okay. Get into position, Commandramon. We got an army to thin out!" she said.

Following her lead, Commandramon nodded a yes and hopped to the corner of the building. The little ledge was perfect for him to kneel down and prop his rifle-- the small scope at the top positioned there. Looking through it, he could see the first row of enemy Keramon and blackgabumon coming towards them. Commandramon's normally chipper persona soon smoothed over to the hard-core, cool as ice persona of a sniper. His little fingers lightly held the trigger and his scope moving to focus in on a keramon coming.

"Permission to fire?" Commandramon asked.

Seeing the target with her own scope in hand, Serah recognized the enemy target. "Granted. Fire!"

"Like shooting fish in a barrel," Commandramon said, finally letting out a joke as he squeezed the trigger, launching his Hecate II attack!

BANG!

The first shot went off with an echoing blast as the data-bullet went flying. It moved very fast as Commandramon had shot-- shooting through the space and air before it... and smacked Keramon right in the forehead. The wicked digimon was thrown back, in a dramatic shot pose, before his data exploded right before the eyes of the other enemy digimon. It would no doubt startle the enemy to see him just get shot out of nowhere and explode. Even further, a sniper would make anyone nervous as the shot would appear to come out of nowhere-- unless they could tell where Serah and Commandramon were hiding.

"One down," Commandramon chirped as he clicked his weapon, popping an empty shot-shell that turned into data bits, and reloaded the next one.

All the while, Serah kept an eye out for the enemy's movements as well as any allies that might come near. It was her first big mission to protect people in the city. She could only hope she could make a significant difference.

(OOC: Arrived on scene and stationed up at a nearby building overlooking the street where the enemy was advancing. Commandramon uses Hecate II (1 post cooldown) to shoot and destroy one enemy Kuramon in the front. Attack from range and Commandramon is camouflaged so hard to spot origin of shot. )

[Blake Winchester]

The young boy was listening to his iPod when an alarm began to blare through his digivice. Pushing the button he would listen to the audio newscast that was taking place love from Tokyo. A large tower had erupted in flames without any known cause. Looking intently at his digivice he would sigh "if it wasn't something related to the digital world I wouldn't be getting this newscast on my digivice. Blue looks like we are going to have to go to Tokyo, and see what's going on." The blue and white dog would leap from its testing position with its tongue sticking out, and rail wagging. "Great, I was beginning to get bored!"

Quickly, the tamer would journey to the country of Japan. After hours of travel the duo would arrive at the city of Tokyo. Walking through the streets the duo would note the burning building. "This is horrible we have to put that fire out Blue." The small digimons eyes would widen, and he would begin to growl. "That will have to wait Blake there are digimon here with malicious intent!" The tamer would pull out his digivice, and would begin to scan the data of the digimon. "Blackgabumon, and Keramon they are all rookie levels we need to take 'em out bud." The dog would bark accepting the request of his tamer. The dog would then charge one of the black gabumon leaping into the air, and drawing his father in his leg Spiral Cutter! with the blade in his mouth he begins to spin like a tornado increasing his speed sending the blade like a saw into the side of the black gabumon deleting him. Breaking the spin the dog would glide back to the ground, and would sheath the dagger.

"This is going to take a while huh bud?"

(Ooc: Spiral cutter gives barkmon a 25 percent speed boost for the attack it doesn't last beyond that. )

[Nicholas Hyde]

"Roaring King. Double Queen. Come in," Hyde spoke over his radio as he stepped out onto the building, looking down at the insanity below. Just like they said. The place was slowly falling into chaos. Digimon and men roaming the streets, attacking anything in sight. The Wild Cards had gotten a call about this, asked to help in exchange for a rather hefty payment. Needless to say, Hyde couldn't say no. He had also contacted Raoring King (aka Ferghus), and Double Queen (aka Karisa) to partake in the 'festivities', though where they were now, he didn't know. They'd get there eventually though.

Looking down at the army below, he brought up his Wild Eye, fixing it over his eye before switching it on. Blackbagumon and Keramon, along with human combatants. Not really much of an army. The main thing they had was numbers.

He glanced down at his partner. "You ready Sable?" The Pawn Chessmon nodded, and in a flash of light, digivolved into Knight Chessmon. Hyde smiled as he climbed up onto his partner's back. His datagun was useless in the human world, a tradeoff for the perk of unlimited ammo in the digital world. But he had something to compensate. He glanced down at his right arm. The Dealer Arm, a mechanical arm he had commissioned Vulcanusmon to construct for him. It was time to take this little thing out for a test drive.

"Roaring King, Double Queen," he spoke into the radio with a smile, "This is Wild Dealer, engaging enemy forces. Feel free to jump in any time." And with that, he shut off the radio, a wild grin spread across his face. "Alright Sable, let's do this!"

With a cry from both of them, Sable lept from the building, falling towards a group of enemy soldiers. "Gallop Whole!" Sable crashed down amidst a group of enemies, the landing forming a crater and sending Digimon and men flying alike. Without even missing a beat, Hyde lept up from Sable's back, pouncing towards the nearest Digimon outside the attack radius, a Blackgabumon, and swung his mechanical fist with all his might. The blow sent the rookie level Digimon flying back against a wall, shattering into data.

"I love this thing!" Hyde laughed as he moved back towards Sable. While he didn't like having to use his Digimon partner as a shield, the human soldiers were at least armed.

GALLOP WHOLE: Sable leaps into the air, coming down with enough force to create a crater with a radius of 5 meters. Anyone caught in this radius (even if the main attack misses them) is stunned for one post and lose any buffs currently applied (passive based buffs are removed for one post. [Cooldown 3 posts]

Dealer Arm also used to dispatch enemies.

Kiss ✰ Me "Watch out!" Narrowly avoiding the swipe of a Keramon's claws from tearing into his side, the towering white-furred lion man swiftly send a strong punch at the Rookie level Digimon, watching in satisfaction as it screeched in pain and bowled over a few of its friends and allies in the process, essentially giving Haruto and Havoc some breathing room to keep running. "What the hell is going on!?" Haruto had been having a good day so far, even managed to get some of his online homework done before suddenly everything in his household powered down and the next thing he knew, chaos was happening on the streets, everywhere he looked was complete chaos; but he managed to pay attention and noted that this assaulting group kept chanting a name he heard before back in the Digital World, and a chilling sort of understanding washed over him. Taking a firm grip on BashkarLeomon's back as the Champion level Digimon ran ahead, he grabbed his Digivice and opened the Nexus' comm link, hoping that some members of the guild were in the real world, like his friend Nikumo because he could use some help right about now. "Attention anyone from the Nexus in the Real World that's hearing this! We need backup right now, Tokyo's tower and the surrounding area, fuck maybe all of Tokyo at this rate is under siege by Shin Sekai! An army of humans, BlackGabumon and Keramon are attacking the streets, so be careful!" Taking a deep breath to calm himself the human broke the connection to take in his surroundings and blinked once he found himself on a rooftop of a building close to the tower. "Just how far did I zone out?" "You can worry about that later, look!" Pointing towards the base of the tower, the human saw the portals where the enemy was coming from, it seemed they were being powered by a strange machine. "It doesn't matter how much we try and stop them if we don't bring those machines down; it's what's powering the portals open." Havoc said, earning a hesitant nod from his Tamer. "R-right..." The question was, should they risk it and get close to the machines? Hearing gunshots not too far from their locations, Haruto quickly looked towards the noise and spotted a girl and her Commandramon slowly shooting down the enemy lines. "Hey isn't that..." The human had seen a poster of her in the Nexus roster when he asked Zachary about the individuals forming the Nexus; if he remembered correctly her name was Serah Namine? Or Serah something, it didn't matter at this point; he needed to get to her and fast. "Havoc, let's go towards them!" Taking a firm on his partner's wide muscled back so he wouldn't fall off, the Champion level jumped up high and landed silently behind the girl and her companion. "Serah! I'm Haruto Mori, a member of Nexus and this is my partner, Havoc. Look, there's not much time to explain so listen please-- we seriously need to destroy or deactivate those machines that are keeping the portals open, they're around the base of the tower so it should be easy if we work together." Getting an idea the male looked quickly through card pack and gave the girl a few of his cards. "I'm lending this to you just in case you need them." It wasn't much but hopefully, she could have some use from it. Tapping Havoc's shoulder he pointed at the bottom of the tower, earning a nod from Havoc. "We'll try to destroy the machines, please cover us!" Quickly jumping off the building and landing close to the Tower and thus the Machine, the human jumped off Havoc's back and made quick work on getting close to the Machine; activating one of Nexus' add-on to his Digivice, the Codex to try and work through the machine's data and shut it down. If it didn't seem to work at all, then Havoc would pull back from fighting the other Rookies and humans, approach the Machine and attempt to blow a hole clean through it with his mechanic arm; the Howling Bomber, that should hopefully shut it down to thin out the attackers and pull back with Haruto soon after if it seemed like it was bound to explode or do something strange. SPOILER: Click to show OOC: Approached Serah Namino and made a quick plan while also lending her a few of his cards. Then approached the machines powering the portals with Havoc covering his back; while also hoping Serah and her Commandramon also cover them. Haruto used Nexus' CODEX to hack through the machine's data and deactivate it; if that doesn't work then Havoc would destroy it with the Howling Bomber, but ONLY if that doesn't work and jump back to safety with Haruto in tow if it seems like it's about to explode. ○ Howling Bomber - Charges energy into his Pile-Bunker arm and strikes the enemy with it for massive damage that can break through guards, barriers or natural thick defenses easily. CD: 2 posts. Digivice App-- "CODEX" : For the extreme digi-enthusiast, this app allows the digivice to analyze, interact and identify digital signatures apart from Digimon. It can scan layers of encrypted data, allowing the ability to detect and find specific objects and energy sources in an area. As such, the CODEX becomes like a mini-hacking tool, allowing people to use it to easily access and change small bits of data in a localized space. In short, it is a quick-tool used to hack certain data clusters, such as a lock or computer terminal. Excellent for treasure hunters who are trying to get past ancient digital security. Becomes more effective if two or more members use at the same time. Cannot be used to hack NEXUS' own systems. Cards lend to Serah: Sunflowmon's Sunshine Beam, Gizumon's XT Laser and Dorugamon's Cannonball.

"Are you kidding me." Was all Nikumo could say as she quickly headed down the flights of stairs down her apartment building, Pilomon in hand as normal people flooded out in a panic. She had been hoping to lay down some and relax some, but with the sounds of blaring lights and explosions; Nikumo was more than a bit annoyed. "I've not been home for even an hour... and this shit is happening already?" She'd say as she glanced through a window at the chaos down below. Digimon were currently brawling on the streets below; the opposing forces consisting of mainly BlackGabumon and Keramon. What Digimon that weren't she figured were strangers and or DATs members who had arrived to detain the situation.

"DATs sure isn't going to like this... Ole General looks to be out for blood tonight." Nyx would giggle slightly while watching the chaos, as if it were just a television show on TV. She WAS surprised to see that the General was still kickin' around... though she had to wonder what he was doing here. Even Shin-Sekai tried to avoid conflict in the human world... was he even part of Shin-Sekai at this point? "So what's the plan sugar? I don't mind going against these guys. I actually have a lil' score to settle with their leader. I've lost thousands of bits against that guy in poker."

The girl groaned slightly as she finally managed to exit out of the build, placing the mammal Digimon on the ground. "I don't know man. All I know is SOMEONE here is getting their heads screwed OFF their body." She'd say in a disgruntled manner, staring off into the offending group. Needless to say, her patience with life right now was gone at the moment. "Nyx, get to work."

"Haha. For a goodie two-shoes, you ain't that bad dear." Nyx would giggle slightly, the Pilomon quickly Digivolving into her Sheepmon form; the pink sheep laughing to herself as her Wool-Ball Boosters retracted from out of her wool. "Baa-rage." The Sheepmon would say, firing two missiles with adorable faces plastered on them into the crowd of Kerai soldiers with reckless abandon; not particularly caring if they were human or not. Shortly before reaching their targets, the two projectiles opened up into a shower of rocket-propelled missiles; raining down upon the enemy group.

It should have been an average night, just like any other. No, not quite... Today, Yana's few friends had successfully dragged the introverted girl out for a night in the city. It wasn't something she was used to, and the clothing much less so. But Yana did it, there's a first time for everything right? She wasn't much of an outing person, nightlife in Tokyo much less so... Yet her friends deserved her to at least give it a shot... Right? SPOILER: Click to show Shibuya had been their chosen destination... She didn't know how to dress appropriately for a place like that, so she wound up shopping for clothes the afternoon before, and when the time came did her best to ensure her friends didn't notice her new "cat". Ari insisted on coming along to keep an eye on her tamer. And up until that point it was actually turning out to be a pretty good night. But everything changed when the Shin-Sekai attacked. Out of nowhere, everything went to hell: The lights went out and a building exploded, leaving no doubt in anyone's mind to the occurence of a terrorist attack. Though Yana had yet to find out what it was, she didn't have the same suspicions as everyone else... She knew it was a terrorist attack, just one of a different kind. Thus, she took advantage of the whole confusion to leave the Nightclub, running into an Alley as she quickly found Ari. "Nana-chan, they're attacking Tokyo!! I need to digivolve!!", she urged her partner who just nodded in agreement, taking out her digivice and pointing it skywards. "Digimental UP!", she called out, instantly triggering Ari's familiar digivolution. "Gatomon, Armor Shinka...! Nefertimon!!" Ari picked up speed as Yana reached both hands on her back and vaulted atop her flying companion, holding on to her firmly with her legs, materializing her Naginata, "Who do you think is behind this...? Digimon attacking cities, it has to be Shin Sekai or Plutomon, right?", she'd ask, with a mix of anger and disgust... The Digital world wasn't enough for these monsters. Her calm look was a mere facade, one she'd been having a much greater time controlling the past few days. Her partner was much better at it than her, used to even her negative emotions, she accepted them but never allowed herself to be ruled by them, "Most likely. But we'll know when we get there.", she'd answer calmly, inspiring Ari to keep her composure. As they arrived, they finally glimpsed the full extent of the mayhem: Tamers and digimon fighting on the streets and rooftops, and that wasn't even the whole army. "Nana-chan, there's a digimon atop the tower. How much you bet its the mastermind behind this attack?" "It might be... But we need to help the others first.", She answered calmly, swinging her Naginata over her flying mount Digimon, leaning down slightly to coax Ari when she needed her to go, "Sweep low, I'll help you strike them too..." With so many allies and enemies, Ari's powerful aura would strengthen and inspire everyone facing the BlackGabumon and Keramon army, and even then Ari wouldn't settle just from that. Using her curse of queen, her already powerful aura became overwhelming, all but crippling all the rookie level enemies: SPOILER: Click to show ○ Queen's Curse - The opposite to her Queen's Radiance ability, Nefertimon radiates an overwhelming aura of light, slowing her enemies within range by 50% for one turn. This is especially crippling to Virus types, reducing it by 75% for 2 turns. 2 posts cooldown after the effect has worn off. After this, Ari swooped low, flying overhead from allies and enemies alike, creating a powerful wind draft as Yana hung her Naginata low, slashing and electrocuting rookie level foes one after another. At times he hardly ever had to swing the weapon, just hold it low as it cut through a large group of foes at once. SPOILER: Click to show Raijin no Hōyō (雷神の抱擁): Huanglong Ore Naginata - A roughly 2,2m long Naginata. Being a polearm, it allows Yana to amplify her strength and speed at the tip, with the solid huanglong ore blade able to rip through all but the toughest of armors. Originally a ceremonial weapon, the most remarkable feat is undoubtedly the lantern at the tip. Being also made of huanglong ore, it can function as a blunt weapon aside from also functioning as an actual lantern. The pole is actually made of solid huanglong ore, but coated in wood for better grip. Due to Jupitermon's blessing, this weapon can wield lightning at will, dealing Champion level electric damage. But Ari was clearly not focused on the rookies like Yana was. She flew straight towards the tower, until the Weregarurumon grew visible enough for her to attack with a homing beam, "Beam of Isis!!" Life has its beauty... Life has its happiness... But nothing comes without sacrifice... Double queen Theme Song Karisa jumped out of the portal as she then looked up. Her eyes saw what seemed to be a digimon, forward were solders moving forward. ''Well...'' she was about to say to Naku, who was behind her in his teddy small rookie form. "Roaring King. Double Queen. Come in." she heard from her radio. She tilted her head a little, looked down and picked up her radio. Her hands gripped onto it tightly. ''This is Double Queen.~'' she first speaks to Hyde and then speaks again to Ferghus this time. ''Don't be too slow now, King.~'' Karisa joked in a cutely fashion on the radio. She hung it up and put it in her pocket. Her head turned towards Naku with a smile. ''Alright! It's time to show what we got now Naku. No failing! Or else you don't get to see Ari after this.~'' she teased him. His white bear side would sweat-drop with a nervous smile. She smirked, pointed towards the enemies and looked forward to them as well. ''Let's go Naku, rather this is the end or not! We shall devour those who oppose!'' she speaks in an ordering way in her soft sweet voice. Her crimson red eyes would glisten and sparkle as the flames within her, ignited. ''Alright Naku! Heliomon! Time to form.'' she started out as she made an X-shape with her wrists in front of her face. ''Shaba-da-du.~'' she spoke in a soft enticing tone. Around Naku would be a glow of black and white, appearing in his ultimate form. Wings would cover him and then they would spread a little. He would tower over Karisa and stare towards the enemies. Lifting his hand which looks like made out of black metal into an arm gauntlet, he would summon black aura'd bats that would go forth towards the enemies. As they would swarm the solders, twirling around them, biting them they would disappear as soon as some solders would fall. Naku didn't have to move, he could just summon those bats to do the simple work. Every enemy that were attacked (the solders in this case) were sent into a blazed hell as they went into flames. Karisa's eyes lit up as the fire that was coming from his attack would make them glow. She made a rather sadistic smile as oddly this felt nice. She honestly wished she could be useful other than her digimon, but all she has are these cards that cannot be placed yet and her flimsy weak needles. Just watching Naku swarming some dark bats at the enemies, making them catch on fire and burning, was entertaining enough, but she felt like there must be more. She would help defeat the solders that kept coming. Where were they coming from? ''Naku! Go ahead, they might be coming from some contraption!'' she ordered. He nodded and went ahead to see. He felt somewhat a boost as it made him fly faster. He looked and saw Yana, Karisa's friend so Ari had to be here too. He didn't have time to think about that as he saw some portals. He knew what he had to do and he was prepared to to dodge and attack if anyone tried anything. He was twenty feet off the ground as he would then summon the same bats that were not used to attack the portal. He would move away and back to Karisa's location if anyone tried to attack him. The human world, otherwise a place of legend for digimon. A much different place, yet the beings of this world otherwise lived a relatively similar peace. But not today. Ferghus had enough of dealing with kids starting wars, and just wandered into a living hell, started by grown adults. "Wut the hell is goin' on in this here place," the Leomon growled, having stepped out onto a rooftop of his own. In the short distance a building was set ablaze, people screaming and shouting in terror. Troops of various kinds roamed the streets of this city, something in regards to Shin Sekai. And the old man though he'd dealt with them enough in recent happenings!

Despite the heinous stupidity of today, a relief had called in over the Wild Card communications line, "Wild Dealer, this here's Roarin' King. Got it all in mah vision. Somethin' tells me this here ain't normal in yer human world like. Caint tell which direction is wut in this city, but Ah'm 'bout a mile away from that burnin' tower. Gonna start snipin' off the weaker idiots tormentin' fokes." He never did tell anyone about the useful little trinket he found the other day. Managed to give it a whirl too! The Leomon materialized the Digimental of Karma into his hand, then smashed it together with his hands,

In place of the shirtless, bulky lion man was not a bulky lion man wearing a three piece suit and holding a Tommy Gun. How convenient his cigarette changed into a cigar. Evolution was weird. Sighing, Ferghus began to unbutton his shirt and roll up his sleeves, but Double Queen had tuned in, "Ain't bein' slow darlin', just careful after almost havin' ter git into some shit fer some useless war. If'n Ah catch sight of yew and yer pardner, Ah'll make sure no low life sneaks up on ya'll from behind. But yew best be careful, ya'll hear? Don't like the idea of a few young fokes gettin' into a damn huge combat like this."

His shirt unbuttoned and sleeves rolled up, the DonLeomon got onto his belly, setting his gun on the ledge of the roof. Good thing this building had quite a height to it! His one eye peeked its way into the scope, adjusting a few settings to get a better quality view. And then...

BAM!

One Keramon shot through the side of the head, exploding into data right next to its BlackGabumon buddy. Little suckers were trying to make shots miss, were they? Unlucky for them, Ferghus knew a thing or two about how to use a gun! Zooming the scope around, the DonLeomon noticed a couple things as he went back onto the WC channel, "Awrigh' now. Double Queen, darlin'? Got a few trying' ter sneak up on yer right hand side there on top of a buildin'. Careful with that." But next, came some news the lion spotted for his other ally, "As fer yew, Wild Dealer... got a few comin' on yer Six."

The General could easily see that everything was going according to plan currently, although the sound of conflicts further in the distance had reached his ears, for some reason DATS was gaining a bit of ground in defending Tokyo. A sudden gunshot made the hunter sniff the air lightly and steel his senses, he could catch a lot of things. There were the distant flames burning along the building that had just been taken down, the scent of blood from the casualties that had already fallen on both sides, and then a gunshot, a sound from Serah Namino her attack making the General gaze straight at her from her concealed spot, his eyes digging firmly into her before he finally turned his gaze away, as if she had not been worth of his time. Girls who played hide and seek had no place calling themselves his opponents.

Blake Winchester seemed more insistent on a bold charge into the enemy ranks, cleanly taking down a few more of the grunts while at the base of the large tower up ahead another swarm of the General's minions.

Nicholas Hyde his arrival came with just the amount of flair and attention that even the General turned his attention onto the man for a bit as he leaped over a group of encroaching soldiers and slammed down onto them like a powerful brute, easily dispatching them. Those fools were stronger than the General had initially assumed...

Haruto Mori his attempt to disable the machinery seemed to work, at least to a certain degree, the application of Nexus seemed to grant him some access, but it seemed the firewalls were made of quite some intensive stuff and he would need some time (roughly the equivalent of 1 whole round) of being closer to the machines before they could be disabled. Still, some of the portals while not closed had seemingly started to struggle, losing their flow of soldiers for the time being!

Nikumo Takara her assault was just as brutal as those of her allies, the missiles easily consuming a small swarm of soldiers within their detonations as it seemed most of the soldiers around the base of the tower had been cleared!

But then... a dangerous decision was made by Yana Sekigawa . Ari's decision to attack the General directly caused the Weregarurumon to quirk an eyebrow in curiosity as the homing beams rushed on to him, but it was in that instant his body seemed to had moved much more rapidly than she should had been able to perceive. Yes, while Ari and Yana had been able to handle most of the rookies, it appeared the General was made of a much different piece of cloth, appearing in mid-air right above Ari, one arm swinging to make the homing missiles detonate while his remaining fist balded up into a knuckle and intended to slam itself down onto Ari's head to deliver a vicious KRIEG attack.

The attack wouldn't have merely stunned her, it would have pummeled her straight back to the ground for her defiance. Not only did it seem her curse was being nearly ineffective on him, he moved even faster than the average Ultimate Digimon did, and with Weregarurumon being famous for their jumping abilities, she had just experienced first-hand how fast and high their jumps could be.

Unless Ari had somehow been able to avoid getting hit, the General descended toward the ground alongside her, following up with a powerful SIEG where he grabbed a hold of the Nefertimon and tossed her straight at Nicholas Hyde and his partner, kicking Nefertimon away like a projectile!

It seemed attacking the General was best done in group, or at the very least from multiple fronts! But the sudden attack of Karisa and her Naku had distracted some of the soldiers who had tried to defend the portals, being caught ablaze by the bat-like flames as they screamed in terror.

"..."

A fist was raised in the air by the General, a simple motion that seemed to cause the collapsed soldiers nearby to stand up once more and started to charge toward Karisa!

Still, no party was ever complete without a FERGHUS , the Leomon drawing the General's attention and making him raise a hand toward the lion man with a mocking wave, as if taunting the man to approach him for a real fight!

Still, for now he had his eyes set on the Nefertimon and Yana Sekigawa , slowly walking up toward the girl while a platoon of soldiers went ahead of him, seemingly charging toward the poor girl! Seems a main target had been picked for the time being...

Yana could only stare preplexed as the enemy vanished.... And she wasn't the only one: Ari would have looked on wide eyed as her foe disappeared, if she wasn't in her sphynx form that completely hid any and all emotions from the outside world. In the end, this had been a simple test. She wanted to see how this enemy would react, how many of them would it take to bring him down. Though they didn't know whether or not the guy was holding back, he was strong enough to rip through her Armor form like butter if they gave him a chance. Fortunately, due to the whole thing being a test, she was on edge, and reflexes honed in on her foe. "Fast...!!", she muttered, beating her wings away and below as her foe vanished. Weregarurumon had no wings or ranged attacks (that she knew of from the last one they fought), and this made it easy for her to shield her face and Yana from the ensuring blast, which also pushed them away further and stopped his momentum; putting him well out of melee range and unable to carry out his follow up. The explosion still stung her a little, but given how the bulk of it came from her own attack it didn't cripple her flying ability in anyway. More importantly, Ari had learned this guy couldn't be underestimated... She'd be willing to assume WereGarurumon posessed no good ranged attacks, but after this display, nothing would really surprise her, and she reacted accordingly, keeping her distance. He couldn't be engaged when he had solid footing on the ground, but in the air, that was a different story. No matter how fast or jump heavy you are, you can't move anyway but down once you're airborne. Summoning a beam of light as she retreated, Nefertimon launched Rosetta Stone upwards, clealy intercepting his descent path and aiming to juggle him in an airborne state as long as possible. SPOILER: Click to show ○ Rosetta Stone - Ari shoots a large slab of rock from the beam of light on her back. This is slower than most her attacks, but makes up for its speed with impact, staggering and knocking back the enemy hit. Deals hybrid light and rock based damage. Meanwhile, Yana understood what Ari was going to do, no, she thought of it herself too. He couldn't dodge while airborne, and his speed would be about as useful as a Pedobear working in child protection services. While her partner kept herself airborne - gradually strafing away towards the rooftops - and followed up her attack with rapid fired Nile Jewelry (aiming to shred though her airborne foe and follow his descent consistently), Yana would do something else entirely, rearing her head back towards her allies, "EVERYONE, ATTACK WHILE HE'S AIRBORNE!!", though she said everyone, this message was obviously intended for those with ranged attacks SPOILER: Click to show ○ Nile Jewelry - Ari shoots small and sharp jewels from the gems in her paws. This attack is quick and easy to execute and has a large area of effect, but no additional bonuses. General's falling speed would be predictable since he couldn't really change it, and Ari had made sure to keep a clear line of fire. When she shot her attacks she was above half Tokyo tower - roughly 220 meters - so the General would have a bit more than than that to fall downwards. She'd keep moving away from the General at an unpredictable course, with irregular shifts and turns, but never turning her back away from her enemy as she went towards her allies, looking for a place to digivolve and drop Yana. Ari knew she couldn't fight an enemy this strong while Yana could die just from falling off her back. Turning her head down and feeling the strong wing blow her hair around, Yana was thankful for her strong legs and lack of vertigo. She understood Ari's concern, and she'd be a fool if she wasn't afraid. Best option now was a tactical retreat without ever letting up on her attacks. They'd make him pay for leaving his perch. "Nana-chan, see if any of our allies have built a barricade against the enemy army. If they have, That's where ill drop you.", Ari would urge with a calm, soothing tone, to which Yana would nod and narrow her eyes for a better look. It was hard without the street lights, but the frequent fire attacks and sounds of battle made it easier. "R-right!!", she'd answer with a firm nod, yet keeping her spear firmly primed on the foe in case he magically managed to come over to them again, looking around for groups of Allies Queen's Radiance at max stacks (6 digimon allies) Using lovebug on Karisa Parrino

Demoralizing them, clearly the wolf didn't give a rat's ass regarding their presence. That made Commandramon and Serah a bit upset to be taken that lightly. But that overgrown fleabag was going to learn in due time to not take them lightly. As they got ready for the next shot, more and more people were coming on the scene to help. Some were skilled and strong-- others Serah could only sigh and roll her eyes. "Goggle-heads..." she said, looking over the scene.

While the girl, Yana was taking point to fight the werewolf general-- which Serah wanted to do as well, what Haruto Mori was doing seemed more important. For a goggle-head, he was sharp to target the enemy generators operating the portals. She also knew him, as well as Blake, both Nexus members . Either way, that guy was sharp for someone so shy in appearance. How could she had missed that? Tapping COmmandramon on the shoulder, to get his attention. As she was given the cards, Serah nodded. "Alright... Thanks. I'll cover you and join you soon,"

Commandramon looked up from his scope, wondering who the friend was. As Serah took hold of the extra cards, she looked to the generators and Haruto trying to stop it. "Commandramon. Let's get closer and cover him. Come on!"

"Roger, ma'am!" Commandramon chirped, shouldering his rifle.

"AND STOP CALLING ME MA'AM!" Serah growled.

"Okay, sweetie!" he joked.

Despite the bad banter that Commandramon liked to joke with, they jumped across the close connecting buildings and soon reached the area. They moved position so now they were closer to the generators and had a clear view of Haruto, while enemies were getting closer! Now on another building rooftop, Commandramon followed Serah's lead and propped his rifle once more. "Eagle Eye..." COmmandramon breathed, and then his eye through the dominant eye in the scope he was using glowed gold.

From his eye, he could see his targeted area clearer. He could see the generators, his allies and his enemies-- more specifically the ones hiding behind buildings and ones advancing towards Ofan too. "I see your new friend. We should take out a generator too. At least for now, the enemy isn't closing in on him. " Commandramon said.

Looking from her own point of view, seeing the fact the portals were indeed becoming sluggish. "Then let's help him along and cover him." Serah said, pointing to the generators.

"Roger, that!" Commadramon chirped and soon pulled the trigger!

With the combination of Eagle Eye-- his accuracy and critical attack power boost-- he relased a barrage of bullets, that were now precise enough to hit his target. The M16 Assassin gunshot from his gun soared through the air and shot into one of the nearby portal generators on another side of the building. For Haruto, this would make things easier for him. Covering his actions and also attempting to destroy another generator to stop the portals. The gunshots would turn the thing into Swiss cheese and make it completely useless.

As much as Serah wanted to help Yana fight off the enemy as she positioned him so, she knew they had to first limit the number of reinforcements and cover her allies from afar.

As it would seem-- one of the allies got into trouble. The general leading this band of evil digimon roused up one of his allies, ordering him to attack Karisa . Seeing this, Serah turned her attention to the enemies closing in on her. "Commandramon. 10 O-Clock!" she instructed.

Turning his scope, Commandramon spotted their friend Karisa and the enemies closing in. "No one tries to hurt a pretty girl on my watch," the pervy sniper digimon jokes as he readed Hecate II and pulled the trigger.

BANG!

Karisa would probably be surprised to see a sudden gun shot slut one of the enemies in front of her. The fact was, Commandramon shot his sniper-oriented attack towards the attacker, attempting to give her the space she needed to counter attack on her own and then when the area was clearer.. they could focus on the enemy!


(OOC: Teams up and cooperates with Haruto Mori . Accepts his cards: Sunflowmon's Sunshine Beam, Gizumon's XT Laser and Dorugamon's Cannonball. Moves to new position via the rooftops to reach the end where Ofan is trying to disable a generator. Uses M16 Assassin and Eagle Eye combine to increase precision and range-- and use it to destroy another Generator to help Ofan. (Attempted to destroy one other generator and cover Ofan)

She watched how Naku would burn the enemies and attack the portal/machines. Her eyes would look around to see Hyde who was called the Dealer, Ferghus, who was being called King. Her red and blue eye would then look towards the rest as she honestly didn't know them. She would make a small chuckle that was quiet, hearing Ferghus speak to her, calling her 'darling' and stuff. Naku would continue to attack the machines that powered the things that would let the enemies go through, destroying them. He would fly up a little as his head turned to look back, making sure Karisa was fine. His priority was to satisfy Karisa, making her feel not weak and therefore succeeding at this, but if Karisa was going to be unprotected by her allies, he would go back immediately. As he saw that the solders were going for her, he was about to move towards her till he saw allies attacking the solders themselves. He looked up to see Ari and Yana in mid-air, the Weregarurumon was going for the hit which made a strange feel to him appear within him. Was it the fact of his feels against Ari? Or just the fact of the Weregarurumon seemed to have taunted him in his own way. His body glowed a rather gold, a light from the sky shined down upon all that were his allies for this time being, 'Heavens call..' he thought as all would feel some power that were allies. His hand quickly rose up as bats would attack the mid-air Weregarurumon. Quickly within a second he would land on the ground. He saw solders in front of him as there were only a few left after he attacked most of them with the bats. He smirked as he had both hand form together in front of him. Shadows and light started to deform in to two-colored multiple beams that would hit the solders right through their armor, annihilating them and then curved/went straight up from the solders body to hit the Weregarurumon with his ultima beam. His eyes glared as he hoped that the others would give it all they got... Karisa watched from afar as this was all happening, but in a turn of events some of the solders were going for her. Her red and blue eyes would look around to see some lady shoot some solders that were for her. She would back away further away, thinking she was safe she would turn to then see a Keramon leaped forward and went to slash at her face in a surprise attack. She would quickly side step, twirl, but wasn't fast enough as it got her face on the right side. 'Ugh....' she thought as she would kneel down, had her hand son her right eye. She could feel some blood, but not a lot. It didn't hurt, it just surprised her. Her eyes both opened as the red was decoloring her blue to red. Some blood showed up in her hands as she opened her eye all the way. She hasn't really seen her own blood before. Her mind was sort of drifting as her heart beat would go faster. She stood up all the way, ignoring the pain as she felt none, due to her ability to not feel any. She would look around with a small cut on her face on the side of her right eye. She then thought of something.... Only a half of a minute would be passed since Naku attacked the Weregarurumon. He would look back on Karisa seeing some blood on her eye. His eyes widened and would fly right back to her. He looked down at her in a cold manner. ''I wasn't...able to do anything...'' he spoke to her quietly. His wings closed as he towered Karisa, being 15 ft. Slowly she would grab her card and her vice from her pocket, slide it. She watched him get some funky looking attire and a sword. He would wipe off the blood with his angel-like touch and then turned to see all the people. Naku gripped the sword, ignoring the ugly attire and continuing to look. He knew a way to get rid of everyone...all of them...The ones so called allies and the enemies on the ground. He knew that his earthquake would kill everyone here. It was tempting...very tempting to him, to keep his Karisa safe from all. Information Passives Included  ○ Will of the Ancients - Due to him being an unknown creature of both, "virus busters", ''Dark Area'' and "nightmare soldiers" families, he gets 70% increased power. Card used: BanchoLeomon's Dankon and GAKU-RAN (Equipment, lasts for 3 turns) Attacks Included ○ Heavens call -Naku call on the power of light to boost his allies (and himself) with a +50% attack damage. 4 post duration, 8 CD. ○ Evil Wing - Unleashes a wave of darkness either in the form of bats that burn up the enemy in a blaze. Ultima Beam - Naku creates a multitude of very thin beams of light and shadows which pierce and slice their target, heavily damaging them. The damage of this attack is tied to the opponent's missing health. It bypasses defenses(enemies defense buffs) due to light's piercing properties, it won't however, reduce a Mega's defense(Super megas aren't affected by this), and recovers from the damage dealt through lifesteal due to darkness' property (20% of Nakus health). "Copy that King. Read you loud and clear!" Hyde responded to Ferghus' communication. He glanced over, catching sight of Naku attacking one of the Shin Sekai machines. But he didn't see Karisa near him. Shit! The girl was by herself, with enemies closing in on her! But that wasn't all. A call got his attention, causing him to look skyward as Yana, a Nefertitimon, and a Weregarurumon were fighting it out in the air. No points for guessing who was behind the attack. Hyde let out a curse. The big boss wasn't that far away.

"Sable!" Hyde yelled out, leaping off of her back, "Go and keep the big guy occupied. I'm heading over to Queen's location!" Sable nodded and the two split up, Hyde running to where Karisa was, using his digivice to track her location, while Sable made a run towards the big boss.

Attack him while airborne huh? Well, she had something to help with that. "Big Darts!" she yelled out, launching her lance skyward. A little surprise for the General later. But right now, the least she could do was try to keep the big guy airborne. Charging towards the falling Weregarurumon, a new lance formed in her hands as she took aim. "Knight Lancer!" She wasn't expecting to do much, just launch that damn wolf back into the air.

Meanwhile, it didn't take long, running at top speed, to track down where his comrade was. Unfortunately, Hyde had arrived a little too late, just in time to watch one of the Keramon swipe her across her face. "Queen!" he yelled out, charging at the attacking digimon. The little mutant looked over in surprise before Hyde grabbed it by its large head, the Dealer Arm bringing it up and slamming it into the concrete with a wet 'splat'. Rage was clear on the one eyed man's face as he looked around, seeing the other enemies about. It was only then that he noticed a girl and her commandramon nearby. If they were here, then why was his friend attacked? He glanced over to see Naku come down, enveloping his partner in her wings. Good to see he cared about his partner too.

Hyde turned his attention back to the enemy grunts around them. While Naku was taking care of Karisa, he would take care of these guys. With a loud battlecry, he charged at the nearest grunt, a Blackgabumon, swinging his mechanical fist right in its face.

BIG DARTS: Sable launches her lance skyward (a new lance forming in her hands afterwards). The next post after this lance as been launched, it comes down on the opponent from above, dissolving into data on impact. If target is AIRBORNE when the attack hits, it's treated as if the target's defense is reduced by 50% and are pinned down for one post.

KNIGHT LANCER: Sable charges and strikes the enemy with her lance, knocking them AIRBORNE. This AIRBORNE state lasts for one post.

The whole battle was taking a turn for the worse when the weregarurumon would leap from the building charging after the airborne Yana, and her partner Nefertimon. This was a battle the armor digimon couldn’t hope to win at that stage without us providing her with some sort of back up. Looking ahead of him he would note another swarm of the monsters heading in his direction. “Man these guys don’t seem to give up do they?” The small dog would pant as he looked back at his tamer; “Nah, they are pesky little buggers arf.”

The young tamer would begin to wonder where the monster were coming from. “Those monsters have to be coming to the real world from a portal of some sort. Let’s charge this group of digimon to try and find the source and end it.” The dog would nod, and the duo would charge towards the group of digimon that were standing before him. “Blue take out the Blackgabumon, and Keramon in our way. “Tempest Bark!” The dog would shout as a bark would be followed simultaneously with a tornado in the form of a beam erupting from the mouth of the digimon. The tornado would plow through the center of the group of Blackgabumon, and Keramon knocking them out of the way. Some of the weaklings would be deleted by the attack, but the majority are just sent flying out of the way.

Once the path is cleared the tamer spots a portal machine that appeared to be glitching. “Blue that machine it's what is letting those monsters slip through take it out!” “Icicle Pummel!” The digimon would shout as he leapt into the air, and began to churn the frozen energy from within its frigid depths, and would materialize it in the form of icicles sending them at the machine.

Actions

Tempest Bark- The digimon launches a powerful tornado beam from its mouth.
Icicle Pummel- This attack creates a barrage of icicles, and launches them at the enemy and can pierce digimon of equal to or lower levels.
