Zo took a deep breath as she stepped onto the arena. Her last match had... well it had caused the arena to roar when she stepped forward. The booming echos of the crowd's shouts and cheers filled the space above her head. Apparently her first round had been the most watched- the most entertaining. The girl's stomach crawled at the idea of her violence being so entertaining for others, but she knew it had to be done to win. Tate, latched onto her back, would speak softly into her ear. ”It's alright, don't worry. We got this.”

She nodded softly. Her Digivice hung around her neck on a chain, ready for action. Her book bag hung across her chest, ready for action as it rested on her hip. The girl pulled her umbrella out and hold it over her shoulder, seemingly relaxing as the arena was randomly generated. However, that wasn't the case. Her eyes were locked on the girl across the arena from her. Zo and Tate had spent time watching her opponent's last match. She wasn't one to take lightly. However, unlike Tate and herself who had only used one real ability in the last round, her opponent had unveiled quite a bit about herself. Still, there was always room for a surprise here or there.

When the arena generated to that of a beach side, a small smile crept across her face. Perfect. This just made things easier. Taking a deep breath, she spoke.

At long last the time had arrived, the decisive moment where she would be fighting her next opponent. Although Reikiko had already heard a lot about her opponent, it was always a different scenario to actually face them in combat. Perhaps it was for that reason that it was both excitement and nervousness that drifted through her mind at the thought of the upcoming battle. She had yet to enter the arena properly, and yet she decided to already spoil her opponent a little. Kuro had been at her side, a look of determination in his eyes as she held up a small object of some sorts and whispered with a smirk.
"Whatever happens in there, we're going to be giving them one hell of a spectacle, right Kuro?"
The Blackagumon nodded his head with a confident grin upon his lips, declaring proudly.
"Of course Aneki!"
And with those words it happened, the digimental activating itself as the little raptor transformed in a large winged predator that gazed quietly at her.
"Let's see... everything is in place, including 'that'..."
With a mischievous smile lingering for a moment the duo entered the arena, a look of bewilderment upon Reikiko's face at the beautiful location they had been granted, and at the other side of the arena was their opponent. Still, even if they were within range to hear one another, she ensured the distance was more than far enough that even a sprinter would take some effort to reach her, especially considering the unusual terrain making it far from ideal to rush a long distance. And she was kind of wary after the words of warning Yana gave her.
"Checkmate~"
The girl spoke one word, the first thing she said toward her opponent, but she soon smiled apologetically, her body like always covered in the light cloak she was wearing.
"Sorry about that, just thinking aloud~ To think I'd face the famous umbrella girl in my second round, it's quite a pleasant surprise to see you of all people being my next opponent... According to the rumors the name is Zamorano-san, am I correct?"
Although her tone was cheerfully, something was secretly being prepared, and Reikiko was more than eager to get this spectacle on the road.
"Before we start I do have a suggestion for you, or rather, consider it a word of advice: Keep that umbrella for the rain, if you decide to join in on the fun... I can't guarantee your safety."
With a little wink the girl nodded toward Tate, humming softly as she stepped beside her own partner, humming happily.
"Hope you're done with your preparations, lest I'd start without you."
Hopefully Zo would be accepting her offer, because beneath the cloak Reikiko was already preparing the next course of action, a glint of mischief in her eyes.

Even without the brief phrasing of 'Checkmate', Tate knew something was up. His opponent was radiating confidence. Something had made them believe they could win. Zo watched her opponent, eyeing the cloak in silence. She was hiding something under there. After all, the weather wasn't bad or anything. Besides, Zo had briefly considered wearing one herself. Besides, that was also why she wore her jacket so low. [break][break] Tate would continue to whisper into her ear as the girl spoke- translating for her along with other things. Zo would remain quiet as she stared at him. At the offer of preparing, Tate whispered something else into her ear. The girl would nod as her small Digimon hopped up from her shoulder. Before he fell to the ground below, a bright shining light would cover him and an Angemon would appear in his place- floating behind the girl. Quickly, he'd reach down as his tamer reached up. He'd scoop her up onto his shoulder in one fluid motion. The girl would quickly tuck her legs in and leap over his shoulder onto his back- showing her athleticism. The tall and muscular Digimon would float into the sky as his Tamer sat with her legs tucked over his lower two wings for support in order to leave her hands free. [break][break] His lips would purse beneath his mask as he hovered silently. His tamer's hands were hidden behind his back and feathers as he watched the opponent. He could tell the girl had something devious planned. Her intent to hurt him was resonating strongly. He'd keep his distance for now. As he raised his fist, the hand would glow a bright golden color before a beam of holy energy would shoot out towards the Devidramon. [break][break] Abilities Used:○ HAND OF FATE – Tate basically punches the shit out of his opponent with a shining golden fist. He may also punch from a distance by shooting out a beam of fist shaped holy energy from said golden fist. These punches do double damage to nightmare soldiers or viruses while also leaving a red mark on most targets for up to two posts. The mark does nothing. It was a bit amusing to see the girl remain silent, perhaps due to an inability to comprehend what she was saying, or perhaps conceit? In the end the girl merely smiled as she watched her opponent's partner evolve into an angelic entity, making her sigh softly. Just her day, to think she'd have to deal with yet another anti-virus type of opponent. Nevertheless, it appeared it was showtime, and with the angel floating upwards into the sky it was clear that they were planning something, perhaps a long-distance attack? The Angemon's assault came quick, the holy fist launched toward the Devidramon, and yet it was at that moment that beneath her cloak she triggered the card she had prepared, a bright flash of light emerging from beneath her cloak, and a matching glow followed onto Kuro's body, revealing a short bladed sword resting in the palm of his clawed hand, and a long coat, belonging to a Bancholeomon covering his body.
"Kuro..."
The Devidramon roared with a bestial sound as he raised the sword into the air, attempting to slash down onto the approaching projectile but even with his equipment the holy fist pushed him backwards, finally soaring past him and hitting him straight into the chest, making the beast let out a high-pitched cry. So far all was going according to her expectations, but it would be boring not to make things a bit more lively, right? Stepping behind the winged beast Reikiko felt the tail wrap around her waist, and just like they had practiced the beast carefully placed her behind its back, so that he could serve as a shield.
A pair of large bat-like wings unfurled, a swift beat following as the Devidramon started to ascend into the air, growling and snarling as if he had become a beast that lost its ability to communicate.
"Good work enduring that attack Kuro, now it's time to make the fun begin, shall we?"
Her lips curving into a smirk the girl whispered something under her breath, when without a warning the Devidramon howled loudly, a sound that seemingly stirred something, for the seawater started to rise, rise and rise rapidly till a three-metre flood was rushing over the landscape beneath them.
"Angemon, tell your tamer she has umm... let's see~ One minute to forfeit."
It was yet another innocent yet confident declaration, and one that might had sounded misplaced considering the large beast was panting lightly, his chest scorned red with the mark of where the fist had hit its leather-like skin. Yes, hopefully this girl would surrender soon, if she knew what was best for her..."

Kuro tried to use the Tanto to slice through the Holy Fist but only succeeded in removing some of its power, before his GAKU-RAN covered body got hit, giving him some nasty bruises.

She'd whisper to Angemon occasionally and the Digimon nod or mumble back. ”Yes... Right...” Zo would gulp as the Digimon let out a high-pitched cry, but her focus wouldn't shaken. At the sight of the other girl's Digimon taking the hit, her eyes narrowed. So they were coming up to the air too. The other Digimon didn't look graceful or quick, but there was no telling how well it could fly. [break][break] Then the roar brought the water. Her eyes narrowed. They were planning something nasty. She knew how this technique went. Sorcermon had a similar one. Leaning forward, the girl whispered softly into her Digimon's ear. He would nod before raising one hand in the air. A golden light would form an tight golden egg around him and his tamer. Oddly enough, it was fairly oval. The height was at fifteen feet, but it's width was only 6 or so feet. Wide enough to hold Angemon and his wings, but far too tall. [break][break] ”Young miss, my tamer wishes to inform you that you yourself should surrender!”
[break][break] With his other hand, he'd shoot out another golden blast of golden fist shaped energy towards the other flying Digimon. Meanwhile, behind his back, Zo's eyes would continue to peek at Reikiko and her Devidramon. Behind Angemon's back, her hand would silently vanish as she reached into her jacket's interior. Her other hand would hold the umbrella over her shoulder as she usually did. [break][break] Abilities Used:○ HAND OF FATE – Tate basically punches the shit out of his opponent with a shining golden fist. He may also punch from a distance by shooting out a beam of fist shaped holy energy from said golden fist. The Angemon's warning seemed to had been accompanied by a powerful technique of some sorts, an unusual sphere that seemed quite troublesome to deal with, and silently within the back of her mind Reikiko decided on her next course of action, Kuro had taken some decent damage from that earlier attack, but he was still more than capable of dealing with the task he had been given, and in the end all she did was hum playfully as her eyes locked onto the Angemon.
"Guess I should have expected as much~"
As the words escaped her lips Reikiko's hand folded up under her cloak, seemingly activating yet another card she planned to use, the card seemingly making the Devidramon's muscles tense and his eyes sharpen into a feral glare while the girl gently rested her head against the back of the demon.
"Enrage~"
It was a simple command, but a howling roar followed, making the Devidramon's killing intent seemingly rise even more, steadily losing more of his sanity as the result of his order. And yet Angemon's attack seemingly made the Devidramon too slow to dodge, instead making it brace itself for an impact, a loud howling screech following as it felt the overwhelming pain of the Holy Fist digging into its shoulder. It was likely that only a few more attacks could be endured, but yet Reikiko seemed to had decided on a course of action, for the girl started to float a bit higher and away from the duo, hoping to get some distance in from those projectiles.
"Hmm, Angemon... 30 seconds left~"
Yet that innocent smile clearly was concealing something darker behind it...

Kuro used:
○ Feeding upon Insanity - A rather nasty ability of the Devidramon, instead of attacking right away the Devidramon is able to instead charge up an attack, granting a +100% boost to the next damage-dealing attack. However, Feeding upon Insanity makes Kuro unable to attack an enemy for the round the technique is used for. However, defensive techniques are still entirely okay. Nevertheless, this can only be used to charge twice in a row. Can be overcharged without for an instant +200% damage boost, at the cost of making Kuro take 3 times as much damage to enemy attacks the round after he attacks. *Overcharge used*

He must have felt something dangerous going on. The girl would pop open her umbrella and lean forward to hear Angemon whisper something to her. Nodding, the girl leaned back to pulled out four cards. [break][break] Using hands already trained in card tricks, she quickly swiped one of them down the Digivice that hung from her neck. The other three were held tightly- preparing. The girl would lean in to rest her chin on Angemon's shoulder as the effect began activated. She'd then adjust her headphones. Tate always made her wear them. Some of the cards they had gotten recently made the sound of gunfire, and he didn't want his tamer to be disoriented by the blasting since she was usually so close to him. With her headphones down, the girl held the cards ready to act as her eyes peeked over the edge of her Digimon's shoulder. [break][break] Angemon's mouth would open once more, but this time... He exhaled. A bright blue flame would erupt from his mouth. A large wall of fire would fly at Reikiko and Devidramon- ready to purify the darkness Angemon felt within them. As the fire left him, he raised his hand to shoot out another blast from his hand for good measure. He would aim for where the Digimon moved in any attempts to avoid the blast. All the while, the Digimon would slowly drift higher. He knew the water had something to do with what was about to come. He'd speak loud enough for his tamer to hear. [break][break] "Get ready!" Her smile not wavering for a moment as she saw the Angemon unleash a rather unique attack, the huge wave of blue flames rushing through the air, heading in a beeline toward the duo. Of course Kuro's protective instincts stirred, trying to sweep his body downwards to avoid the flames, and yet it was futile. The blue wall of fire consumed Kuro's body, making him screech hysterically while the Holy Fist seemed to had been the finishing blow that was needed, hitting him straight into the stomach, and seemingly causing his eyes to slowly close as he toppled downwards toward the surface... perhaps defeated? "Guess playtime is over..."A cold whisper followed from the girl as she raised a hand to the edge of her coat, and finally pulled it off, revealing the very reason why she had been concealing the cloak. Loud gasps of surprise came from the crowds as a large shadowy creature was seemingly wrapped around the girl's naked body, the only things she had been holding was a small satchel that was being supported in mid-air by the shadowy entity and a small bottle in her left hand. Still more peculiar was likely the red ring on her right hand, the entire arm covered in a dark coating that she raised upwards. "By the pact that binds us: RISE ONCE MORE KURO!"A demanding shout came from the girl as the ring glowed brightly, seemingly making the creature open its eyes, red irises glowing brightly while the two of them came to a halt in their plummeting to the water. Her smile now gone for a scowl the shadowy lass raised the bottle toward her partner's mouth, the drink being ingested and with the Devidramon seemingly hovering on the surface of the water it was time... time to reveal her earlier warning. The Devidramon suddenly started to laugh, a maniacal laughter that even from their distance would most certainly chill both tamer and Digimon alike to the bone, unless for some reason they were deaf or immune to the laughter. Then again, she did notice the headphones, but unfortunately for Zo her Digimon didn't have a fancy pair of his own. "Lesson Number 1: Thunder always comes from above..."It was an ominous warning, but the sudden flash of lightning, accompanied by the supposedly paralyzed Angemon would have made an evasion close to impossible, but more curiously was the fact the lightning was guaranteed to seek them out... why? "Lesson Number 2: Metal is a conduct for electricity..."Yes, the very umbrella she had opened would have send the lightning strike right down upon them, not only coursing past the leather cover, but considering the metal tip it was a literal lightning rod! And then the worst would have come. "Lesson Number 3: electrocution on the body is a bitch when flying, muscles and all that stuff you know... good luck in the descend..."Was she already about to feel that delicious despair? In the end the Angemon being hit would make it logically unreasonable for it to remain airborne, and to make it even more violent... the moment they would likely reach the water the Wrath from Above would have unleashed its effect to the fullest. "Lesson Number 4: Water and lightning.... gives for a lovely light show..."And indeed, the moment the lightning reached the water.... it was a figurative checkmate. All cards had been put perfectly in play, if Zo had taken the chance to stun her even once during the build-up, she might had a chance to endure this, but right now? At a power that was considered 8 times that of a regular armored champion? It would have been what most would call 'fatal', at least for a human being. But perhaps she narrowly survived? Either way if that hit Zo she wouldn't just walk away from it! ""Checkmate" doesn't mean you've simply cornered the enemy king. It's a declaration that the enemy king is yours. That's why I said it the first time I met you and saw this terrain... "Checkmate"And then she finally allowed her regenerated partner to look at her foes, curious to see the end result of such a devastating strategy. Of course if she somehow avoided it all, she would had been pleasantly surprised but... this was after all her ace card. ------ Kuro got hit by the card attack and Holy Fist and was rendered unconscious. Aside from granting immunity to the potential backlash that Wrath from Above would have on him or Reikiko for 3 turns, Devidramon is able to take in a bit of the thunder to recover his health up to half. Due to Wrath from Above's ruling this effect can only happen once a thread, can be automatically used before Wrath from Above ○ Wrath from above - By releasing a high pitched screech Devidramon seemingly is capable of summoning a thunder strike from above, However, the true danger of this technique lies in the conductivity with water. Aside from making this technique a large area of effect technique and ignoring barrier/damage resistances up to ultimate due to the water channeling the thunder everywhere, Wrath from Above will deal an additional 100% of its damage for each metre of water that covers the battlefield, up to a +200% power boost. The intent to harm was far too much. He looked to Zo and nodded for her to prepare. He had to protect his tamer. The girl would ready herself, sliding one card half way into the Digivice. When the girl raised a hand to her cloak and pulled it off, Tate grit his teeth. The girl was a monstrosity. When she revived the plummeting Digimon's energy, he knew something bad was about to happen. [break][break] When the laugh hit Tate, Zo could feel him begin to fall as the barrier around them vanished. He couldn't keep it up while paralyzed; nor could the frozen wings support her. She had two choices, hold onto the cards and umbrella that filled her hands but fall off of Tate, or let go of one to keep a hold on Tate. The girl chose the second. Her umbrella would quickly fly off into the air above her as the air current ripped it from her hand- the open canopy helping to send it flying. She then wrapped one hand around Tate's shoulder to make sure he wouldn't drift. Her other hand would swipe the card. With a bright glow of light, a red dragon like would appear below them. The girl and Angemon would land on it as it zipped by below them. Luckily, she had swiped quick enough to summon it before they built up enough momentum to do any damage. [break][break] With her actions hidden from the girl below by the Grani, Zo sat next to Angemon and quickly held down tightly as the dragon jetted away from her air born umbrella. Above her, she could hear the lightning clashing with the umbrella in a bright spectacle before sending the lightning down to the water below. From her peripheral vision, she could see the lightning strike down behind her as the Grani zoomed away from it with the speed of a jet. Licks of the lightning would fly in their direction, but they were just out of range. Zo's hair raised with static electricity at just how close they had been. They had just barely managed to avoid being fried. [break][break] Zo gulped as she looked down to the water below. Whatever was possessing that girl... Was it even what had been possessing her? Was it the girl herself? Whatever it was, she had just tried to kill her. The Grani would zip to the edge of the arena and hover high in the sky- allowing the girl to peer over the edge down to Reikiko with a piercing glare. Although she was too far above the electrical water for the other to see her eyes, the red tip of her head would be enough to let the girl know she was being watched. [break][break] Her ace in the hole had failed. Angemon had warned her that an attack of that magnitude was coming- so much intent to harm not acted on could only mean that, and Zo's quick hands from years magic tricks had swiped the card in time. Watching the ginger-haired girl escape on the Grani with her Angemon initially caused Reikiko's eyes to widen in disbelief as her massive thunder attack struck the air, making Reikiko glare sharply as the thunder discharged itself into the water, and healing her partner by a fair amount. Nevertheless, with Zo having so effectively, borderline unnaturally dodged her assault the girl was seething with rage. The Shademon wrapped around her body trembled softly as she screamed in anger, a banshee-like screech that was followed by an annoyed shout.
“They played us like a damn fiddle!”
This was it, her anger was now unchained, and she was going to make Zo pay for this embarrassment. She had expected a flawless execution of her strategy, and instead she had been embarrassed before her idols! There was only one thought running through her mind right now: she was going to make Zo Zamorano taste total despair.
"Kuro prepare to kill her!"
The Devidramon roared menacingly as it started to seemingly bulk up its muscles, clearly preparing for some sort of attack. Reikiko didn't care anymore, at first she had not cared what would happen to Zo, but after this? That look in the possessed girl's eyes, and Angemon's passive ability would make it clear that there was not just a intention to harm, she was downright looking to kill the duo.
"I changed my mind, there won't be a option to forfeit anymore!"
Declaring this in a clearly agitated tone she prepared herself for the next part of the battle, certain that this was going to be a conflict both of them would remember for quite a while! But curiously enough a feint shimmering glow seemed to surrounding Kuro for some peculiar reason!

Kuro started feeding upon Insanity:
○ Feeding upon Insanity - A rather nasty ability of the Devidramon, instead of attacking right away the Devidramon is able to instead charge up an attack, granting a +100% boost to the next damage-dealing attack. However, Feeding upon Insanity makes Kuro unable to attack an enemy for the round the technique is used for. However, defensive techniques are still entirely okay. Nevertheless, this can only be used to charge twice in a row. Can be overcharged without for an instant +200% damage boost, at the cost of making Kuro take 3 times as much damage to enemy attacks the round after he attacks.

○ Crimson Embrace - A purification technique where Kuro cleanses status effects inflicted by enemies up to armored ultimate onto himself and Reikiko, and grant one of them a barrier that can intercept a single attack up to a ultimate opponent. However, the barrier has a cooldown of five rounds upon expiration, Purification can be done every 3 rounds.

THERE'S A PROBLEM... Zo Zamorano First: you're not permitted to give cards effects beyond that of what was stated. Your attachment of a 200% purification damage effect to card #94 is well beyond the realm of your ability, and a) does not dwell within the considered parameters for that card, and b) fully oversteps your assumptive mark. Cards are simply the attacks. There are no added effects, save perhaps for the primordial and elemental effects they carry with them naturally. Additionally, considering Shadowlord Mode is itself a Virus-type Digimon, you've committed a faux pas in stating its Tide of Despair to be purgative of Virus-type Digimon rather than a wave of purgative darkness that deals extra damage to, say, Vaccine-types. We use Digimon Wikia for the canon effects of these cards and SOME creative freedom is allowed: however statistical freedom and adding effects to effectless attack cards willy-nilly is NOT permitted. Should you be seen doing this again, there will be serious consequences. Second: Abuse of the dodge function will not be tolerated. Staff have conferred and reasonable doubt is in fact the byword when it comes to dodging. It's in bad sport to write out yourself dodging every single attack. Zo is not superhuman or a master tactician. She is a fifteen year old girl. Some damage will be sustained. Continual abuse of the dodge function will also result in serious consequences. Breaches of any of these warnings in this thread again will result in immediate disqualification from the tournament and forfeit of all and any reward.PM me if you have any questions. He had shouted at her to brace herself through the headphones. He always told her to keep the Grani card in her hand when flying. After all, a basic tactic was to aim for enemy wings to get them out of the sky. Her eyes drifted towards Tate as he laid on the saddle of the Grani next to her. Then, a sputtering was heard. One of the lightning arcs had struck the wing of the Grani. The red dragon like glider would begin to swerve as smoke escaped the now growing flame on the side of the wing. Zo coughed as smoke filled her face. Her hands reached to grab hold of the saddle with one hand while she practically leaned over Tate's chest to keep him from falling off the plummeting Grani. [break][break] ”Lo sentimos, esto podría herir!”[break][break] The girl wound squeeze her eyes shut before moving Tate's still paralyzed arm in front of her. He'd let out a grunt of pain as his tense muscles shifted, but he allowed his Tamer to move it without a fuss. Gritting his teeth, Tate watched as his Tamer dropped his arm and quickly moved to swipe the last of the initial cards she had drawn. Then, she moved to begin shaking Tate's arm in the direction of the water they were falling to. Suddenly, a powerful gust of wind would rage under the Grani. The roaring of the Lariat's wind plus that of them falling would deafen the girl through her headphones. The intense wind would push down- not to blow away any enemies but to instead push them up with the strong wind. The powerful gust would push against Grani's glider like wings and slow their descent as the water before discharged. [break][break] Still, the landing was rough. The force of the gust would snap the already damaged Grani's left wing, and the duo on it's back would find themselves smacking into the water on the back of the red dragon. Zo's head would bounce off of the solid and hard synthetic material that made up the saddle. Her left glass frame would shatter. The glass would leave a nasty cut on her cheek. Leaning up, her eyes shifted to Tate besides her. He had been somewhat banged up by the crash landing, but the most damage was to the arm Zo had forced the card effect to go through. [break][break] Tate would lean up and grunt. He could move again, but this wasn't a good situation. They had landed not too far from Reikiko and Kuro. He could feel the murderous intent radiating from the two as she spoke of preparing to kill his tamer. That girl was truly a monster. He stood up and looked down to his tamer, nodding softly as he held out his uninjured arm. Zo looked up at him and blinked. Her vision was somewhat blurry due to the smashed lens, but she understood what he wanted. The girl would stand up next to him and pull out three more cards from her sleeve. The Grani would shift under them as they stood. It was barely staying afloat. Tate would gently float above the metal Grani as his Tamer moved to swipe her cards rapidly. [break][break] First, Tate would let out a familiar punch of golden energy- albeit with less punch due to the cringing effects of the laughter still ringing in his ears. As the golden energy left his hand, metal would begin to digitize over his hand. The missile launcher would form rapidly, almost in an instant. Then the wave of missiles would begin to launch from him in a wall of firepower heading towards the girl and her Digimon. Then, a second wave would launch- all aiming for Kuro. It seemed things were quite literally about to reach a more decisive moment as Zo and Tate had arrived near them just mere moments after the water started to subdue. She was wary, incredibly wary considering the girl's earlier surprise. If there was one thing Reikiko had to give the girl, then it was the fact her hands were as fast as a cowboy in the wild west! If only she used them for something more pleasant than drawing cards. Reikiko grunted in annoyance as she saw the golden-colored fist being prepared, causing Reikiko to smirk in amusement.
"A shoot-out is it? Fine! Kuro, ANKOKU SHINKA!"
It was around the same time Tate fired his projectile that Kuro took advantage of the Crimson Embrace to safely digivolve without an interruption, the shimmering barrier fading away as the black dinosaur glared menacingly at the duo. Of course it seemed Zo and Tate were far from done, the cards being rapidly swiped making the angelic creature obtain a missile launcher that fired its first volley. However, by now Tate would likely been able to sense that the predator before him was no longer a wild beast, instead the intelligent look of a predator shown itself, a dark warrior.
"BITFIRE!"
As the black dinosaur inhaled sharply he expelled a small volley of large fireballs to respond to the missile volley, the first fireball seemingly crashing into the volley that was heading his way, and yet the second rain of missiles only partly detonated, making the black dinosaur shift his body, clearly intending to shield Reikiko from the remaining projectiles while seeing a part of the fireball heading toward his opponent, although weakened still likely enough to cause some harm!.
It was fortunate that his dark evolution made him not only stronger, but also more tougher and endurable, so he could endure the remaining assault without flinching, even if there were some burnt marks on his body. In the meanwhile, having had herself shielded from the impact Reikiko swept her own card, causing a large Omnimon greysword and Garuru cannon to emerge on Kuro's arms, perfect for what she was planning next!
"DARK MEGAFLAME!"
Kuro's ferociousness clearly seemed to had been unleashed to its fullest, intending to launch the massive darkness-empowered fireball at the duo, the fiery flames scorching its trajectory and moving at a surprisingly unnatural pace! If that attack hit... then things would quite literally become a hell for Tate and Zo to deal with!

Kuro digivolved while being shielded from Angemon's holy fist thanks to Crimson Embrace
Kuro used the buff from Feeding upon Insanity to launch a empowered Bitfire, considering the power difference he obliterated the first volley, albeit a part of the second volley hit Kuro who shielded Rei. (considering this attack fired at 300% power I had the attack obliterate both volleys, albeit a severely weakened remaining fireball is heading Tate and Zo's way.
○ Bitfire - A series of fireballs are launched at the enemy with the intention of burning them to cinders! has a fire property no cooldown -Kuro action 1
Got armed by Reikiko with the card 100. Omnimon's greysword and Garuru Canon -Tamer action
And fired his large AoE attack
○ Dark Megaflame - A twisted version of the fiery attack used by Greymon, this attack makes Black Greymon unleash a large fiery projectile at its enemy. Upon impact the attack detonates in a torrent of black flames, inflicting both fire and darkness element damage upon the foe. Aside from leaving the enemy burning for three rounds, increasing damage of both fire and darkness attacks, this attack also has a dreadful effect in the form of dealing a large area of effect damage around the target, leaving the surrounding area to burn lightly with the black flames! (can count as an AoE) Has a 3 rounds cooldown upon use -Kuro action 2

Of them were now back on the sandy surface, Tate grabbed his tamer by the shoulder and pulled her back to land behind Grani. At the mention of a shoot out, Tate narrowed his eyes. At the same moment, the familiar golden egg would appear around him and his tamer. He wasn't going to take any chances with this woman. The Shademon was clearly driving her mad. The intent to harm his tamer was still lingering in his mind. He had to protect her. [break][break] Zo gulped as she watched Kuro Digivolve. ”Es igual que con lo que pasó a Leyton...” Her voice was firm as she gulped. How many people had those Dark Digivolutions? She didn't like it at all... What was going on in the Digital World? Tate seemed uneasy as well. He could tell something was different about this beast. The dinosaur would manage to respond sharply to the missile volley, not missing a beat to destroy the majority of them while protecting his tamer. [break][break] The fireball he unleashed would crash into Grani, however the equipment's time ran out and as the fireball collided with it- the metal vanished. The small ball of fire would instead find itself smashing against the golden egg that surrounded Tate and Zo. Tate would narrow his eyes as he watched Reikiko arm her partner with weaponry. ”Zo, get behind me,” he warned his Tamer. She would nod and scurry behind as Kuro launched the Dark Megaflame assault. [break][break] The dark flame would crash against the egg- burning the sand around it and charring the soil. The egg would tremble as the attack slammed against it. Zo shrunk down behind Tate as her eyes widened through her shattered glasses. The flames could be seen clearly through the golden energy that protected them. The girl's heart sunk at the idea of what would have happened if the barrier hadn't been there- and then, as if faith had read her thoughts, the barrier began to dissipate. Tate would raise his crossed arms and crouch down to catch the tail end of the flames for his tamer. Luckily, the barrier had absorbed most of the damage. If Grani hadn't dissipated and the Bitfire hadn't smashed into the barrier, it might have held for the duration of the attack. [break][break] As the smoke from the fire cleared, Tate could be seen biting down on his lower lip as a golden energy began to glow above him. It would quickly shatter into a pollen like substance that rained down on himself and his tamer. The gash across her cheek would heal to a small cut while the burning flames on Angemon's arms would dissipate. Tate would let out a sigh of relief as the pain jolting through his arms would lessen- especially the one that had used the lariat earlier. It still stung to move them, but he could fight. Meanwhile, Zo would swipe the third card she had pulled from her sleeve earlier. [break][break] Tate would grin in silence as he began to hover off the ground in preparation. One hand would raise and suddenly, a dark aura in the shape of a book surrounded it while another held out his angel rod. The pages would flip before the ground between him and Haru began to tremble. Suddenly, ten zombie Digimon would begin to rise from the sandy depths. All ten of them would immediately begin to charge for Kuro to attempt to claw at his skin. Tate wouldn't be too far behind as he lifted his Angel rod. He'd keep behind the undead, using them as a barrier. If they managed to get close enough to Kuro, he'd lash out between the zombies with the rod to try and strike the dark dinosaur. The rod would extend to strike- keeping Tate a fair distance away. [break][break] Zo would stay behind and watch, separated from her partner as she gripped her Digivice tightly and reached for one last card. [break][break] Cards: 6/7 [break][break] Abilities Used:
FATE'S PROTECTION –[break] Tate can create a large golden egg shaped barrier around himself and those he chooses to defend. The golden egg can reach up to fifteen feet around him from any direction. The egg can withstand up to one ultimate attack, three champion attacks or seven rookie attacks.The barrier can last for as long as it isn't destroyed, but once it is, the barrier enters a five post cool down. This barrier can be activated and deactivated without going on cooldown - as long as it has not been destroyed.

FATE'S BLESSING – [break] Tate can revitalize allies by giving them “Fate's Blessing”. This allows for him to restore some energy to himself or allies within ten feet of him while also cleansing status effects and debuffs. He heals mild cuts and abrasions but cannot heal larger wounds. His Blessing also helps lessen pain being felt, but it does not remove it completely. This ability has a five post cool down.

He summons forth up to ten zombie Digimon from their graves. These zombies will fight until death, but are only Champion level in power, and have no special attacks. This spell cannot be cast again until it expires.

ANGEL ROD – [break]
Tate can attack enemies with his Angel Rod. The Angel Rod can lash out and grow in length up to five extra feet. Those hit by the Angel Rod will feel a burning sensation from the holy energy coursing through the metal. Angel Rod does double damage to nightmare soldiers or viruses while also leaving a red mark on most targets for up to two posts. The mark does nothing.

That pesky barrier again! Reikiko growled in annoyance as most of her remaining assault was negated, and yet it seemed Zo had a final trick up her sleeve, a summoning spell that seemingly stirred both her mark and the Shademon, it's whispers making her narrow her gaze as the shadow-clad girl watched the zombies rise from the grave, all of them seemingly intended to be used as sacrifical pawns. She couldn't help but laugh weakly at how Tate's clever use prevented the large dinosaur from reaching him, the zombies making him swing his Greysword a few times to no avail, and then the holy rod struck, causing a sharp cry from her partner as he staggered backwards, but at that point it was something, a little matter that made Reikiko's eyes twinkle with mischief. Her gaze shifted sideways toward Zo, remembering a little tactic she had in mind to finish this.

He didn't need to hear anything, the silent nod of the girl being all he needed. The ferocious predator unleashed a thundering roar filled with such despair that she genuinely doubted even the Angemon would be able to escape from the paralyzing fear, and even if it was for a moment... It was enough for her to settle this.
"Here is a magic trick of my own: PIXIE BLASTER!"
Reikiko knew the secret of this card, a powerful attack that unleashed a large amount of nature damage over a small radius, but with Tate hopefully paralyzed and the zombies in between the two of them Kuro endured the biting and clawing, his Garuru Cannon opening to reveal the attack of one famous Tinkermon: Hummingbird herself!
The attack was launched straight over the zombies, high enough that even an accidental jump or pounce wouldn't get into the trajectory of the blast, but if the sphere of energy hit Tate? then the small explosion would be enough to finish this... Nevertheless, even with his enhanced strength Kuro felt the exhausting starting to stir, growling as he unleashed several sweeping slashes with his Greysword onto the zombies.

Kuro uses Despair Roar to stun Tate for one round
○ Despair Roar - By unleashing a feral roar the Black Greymon is able to try to intimidate an enemy for a round (counts as a stun/fear effect), and make them have a reduced offensive power for their next attack due to hesitation. Has a 2 posts cooldown
Tried to blast Tate with Pixie Blaster:
○ PIXIE BLASTER - Tinkermon gathers a large amount of spirit energy within her palm, and then throws it forth as an empowered ball. The energy expands and explodes on contact, dealing a large amount of nature-based elemental damage over a small radius. This attack does an additional amount of damage if the target is inflicted with a status effect.
Due to being likely stunned Tate should be receiving additional damage on top of the regular 'large amount'
Kuro tried to use a few basic attacks/none techs to get the zombies away from him, likely without much success (but considering his large size he'd be able to fire without obstruction)
