"Are you sure about this sir?" It was the dead of night in the city of Triton, conquered not too long ago by the man known as 'Crow', and major changes had sprung up overnight. Numerous tall office buildings had been popping up all over the place. And there was no doubt in Hyde's mind that this was all tied to Crow. Right now, he and his two partners were sitting in an alleyway beside one such building. The place was dark, nobody in the building. The perfect time for a little snooping. "I'm sure of it," Hyde replied in a hushed tone, "Listen, these things are probably all connected right? So there's bound to be something on that bastard Crow in here. Even if it's something small, it's worth getting." The two Pawn Chessmon nodded. "But, shouldn't we go in with you boss?" Hyde shook his head. "Three guys sneaking in a building would be too noticable. It's better if it's just me. If anything goes wrong, just bust down a wall or something and get me out. Trust me, you'll know when shit hits the fan." Sable nodded. There was no doubt about that. Taking one last look to make sure nobody was around, Hyde lept up for a fire escape, managing to catch on and with a little effort pulled himself up. The two digimon stepped back into the shadows, watching as their boss climbed up a couple of stories, getting himself good and high up. One of these windows had to be left open. There was always one idiot who wasn't careful. And lo and behold, there it was. Somebody was going to get fired in the morning. Hyde smirked as he slowly opened the window enough for him to slip inside. Time for some snooping. Anais Nestivedrova

Anais had better things to do than signing herself up for a criminally sponsored deathmatch. Some of her colleagues had been motivated by the thought of seeing the participants up close - even if you could just watch from the sidelines - while others had been certainly lured in by the reward, even if they would not admit it and despite the fact it was most obviously a lie. So, completely devoid of the power she once had as a child, Anais had no business there. Losing her digivice cost her Lena's ability to digivolve, and even now she hadn't gotten it back. She would have to master DATS' Digivice, learn to attune it with her partner once more, and only then she'd be able to think about going back to her days as a full fledged tamer. That said, it wasn't as if she was willing to be useless while her comrades had their fun on the tournament grounds. Instead, she elected to do her own snooping around, walking around the dark streets without much trouble. Anais had keener eyesight than most people. She had managed to sneak inside a building from an open window - even if she had yet to find a way past teh room she was already in - but it appeared she wasn't the one with the same idea. Detecting Digivices was a wonderful function, but also a troublesome one... It took a good deal of meddling on DATS' part to give hers a stealth function while still allowing it to detect others, but a slight vibration in her belt alerted her to the presence of another. "Who's there?", asked a cold voice, tinged with a Russian accent. Whoever it was would probably figure out Anais wasn't really a guard or anything; too careful with hiding herself. Anais had her gun pointed at the new arrival - it appeared to be a man with an eyepatch - thankfully her keen eyesight allowed her to see even while both were mostly hidden in shadows. Meanwhile, Lena was still silently looking around the room/study/apartment whatever the hell they were in. Crow meant bad news so getting a lead as to what manner of shit he was cooking would be a good idea. Nicholas Hyde

The place had been quiet, almost too quiet. He would have expected some form of guard, or some form of security here. Did these guys seriously expect nobody to try and break in here? No, that couldn't be it. Though he hadn't met the man, he had heard enough about Crow to figure he wasn't the kind of man who made stupid mistakes. This knowledge was what prevented Hyde from simply walking in and checking the nearest terminal. He had to play this carefully. Though with any luck, he could get what he was after, and get out before the tournament started. "Who's there?"SHIT!At the sound of the voice, Hyde immediately dove for the nearest piece of cover he could find, a desk, rolling along the ground as his hand immediately drew his datagun. Dammit, was there an actual guard here? He hadn't seen anyone? With his back pressed against his piece of cover, he kept an ear out. He hadn't seen anyone, but he definitely heard her, and there was no doubt whoever it was had seen him, or at least gotten a glimpse that something wasn't right. Not even five minutes in, and stealth was starting to go out the window. Or was it? Maybe they hadn't seen anything? Maybe they heard something and were checking it out? Keeping his breathing steady, he waited to see what would happen, trying to hear anything that might give a clue as to what was going on. Maybe if the guard came close enough, he could get the jump on her and neutralize her without raising an alarm. All he could do now was wait. Anais Nestivedrova

[attr="class","biggie"] [attr="class","textie"] Tch... He hid... This was troublesome. Anais could see the figure well enough to detect he had taken cover behind a piece of furniture, and engaging him in a gunfight right now would hardly be to her advantage. She needed a different way to get this guy to stand down if he wasn't aligned with crow, kill him quickly if he was. Anais' voice as she asked the identity of the second intruder was all that Lena needed to rush to her aid, and before long she was peering by the door to the room, just enough that Anais alone had a proper angle to see her, even if Lena herself could barely see her tamer. Even then, she tried pointing in the general direction of where she believed the intruder to be, before grabbing one of the cards from her pouch, "Card Slash, Dystopia Lances.", she thought to herself, silently slashing the card through her digivice and empowering her partner. Waiting patiently for a signal as she was, Lena recieved it in the form of a silent boost. The myriad of tentacles now protuding from palmon's leaf like arms would stealthily slither across the room, with anything but Anais being a potential target to probe into. Before long, One tentacle would touch or breeze past Hyde - amidst scanning the whole room - with the correct body temperature prompting an attack. The moment she made contact with the mad scientist, all tentacles would suddenly converge on his location, with Palmon's own Poison Ivy joining the fray: Dystopia Lances: The huge number of tentacles growing as its limbs all charge to pierce its target.
○ POISON IVY - Strikes the opponent with its Ivy like fingers. If she focuses this attack on a single opponent, she can use the Ivy to bind it and paralyze it, but only if that opponent is Rookie level or lower.
Skilled at wielding vines, Lena wielded Tentacles with prefect dexterity, since the physical requirement was eerily similar. But instead of trying to stab or pierce the target, she focused on coiling tentacles and vines alike around his limbs and holding the foe like that, ensuring his hands were properly locked down and facing upwards. Any surprised shout or noise on Hyde's part would prompt Anais to peek her head out of cover, pointing the menacing laser sight right onto his forehead: "Freeze! Drop your weapon and I wont put a bullet between your eyes.", she commanded, stepping forward only slightly so the man would be able to look at her, even if slightly, "Who do you work for?" Unless he had some trick up his sleeve that he could use while completely restrained, this was checkmate, and Anais should make it plainly obvious that if she intended to kill him she would have done so already. What she wanted to know now, was who was this guy working for. He wasn't one of theirs, she knew that much, but if he was entering through the window this meant he was likely not one of Crow's either... There was no sound coming from the other person. No footsteps approaching him, or leaving the area.mwhoever it was was just standing there, possibly scanning the room for any sign. Should he he spring out now and attack, or wait until they left? Waiting was probably the best option. Then he heard it, a soft sound of something moving across the floor. Slowly, Hyde's eye turned downward, seeing something slithering along the floor next to him. A vine. Aw crap. Before Hyde could react, the vines grabbed a hold of him, lifting him into the air with his arms above his head, causing him to drop his datagun in the process. As he was lifted up like a meat carcass, he finally got a chance to see who he was up again. A rather attractive blonde with a rather impressive chest, who was now pointing a gun straight between Hyde's eyes. Well, at least if he got caught by someone, he was glad it was someone easy on the eyes. The he saw it. The D Power she carried. The DATS. Great.Hyde let out a groan of irritation. Trust them to turn up. When she demanded to know who he was working for, he looked right into her eyes, or would if they weren't covered by hair. So, she wasn't here for him. "Consider me self employed," Hyde replied, "And unless the DATS are now running guard duty for Crow, I'm guessing you're not supposed to be here either. So, unless you'd like to continue this little BDSM session we have here, please put me down."Anais Nestivedrova

[attr="class","biggie"] [attr="class","textie"] Her plan worked flawlessly, struggling sounds mixed with squishy, slithering tentacles up and about and she had an immobilized interloper before her. The man dropped his gun and Anais slowly lowered hers. Tall, lanky figure, long raven hair and most importantly that sarcastic tongue. There was no way to mistake this man for any of Crow's goons, even if he hadn't answered the way he did: "Ooh, Nicholas Hyde...? Seems I hooked a prized fish by accident.", she chuckled at the irony of catching this guy here, and pondered on what to do with him. Crow was a far more important target than Hyde, who she had no specific orders to catch at this particular time. Nodding at Lena, she did as commanded and untangled the guy from her vines and tentacles, the latter fading into data as the card's effect wore off, "Perverted little scoundel are you? You are either really brave or really stupid." Anais then looked around, idly resting one hand on her hip and sheathing her gun... There wasn't anything worth investigating in this particular room. While she did so, Lena took the time to introduce herself, "Hello~!", she greeted, waving her leaf like arm, "Sorry about that, we thought you were a bad guy. I'm Lena~!" "Lena!", Anais coldly called out her partner's name, leading her to cock her head down apologetically. Hyde might not be an enemy at this time, but he was certainly not an ally either, and there she was acting all friendly. She sighed, shaking her head and turned back to the guy, still wondering what she was gonna do with him, "Tell you what, don't do anything flashy and give me every bit of information you find in this building... And I'll pretend I didn't see you here."[attr="class","iconie"] [newclass=.biggie]-webkit-transitionduration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover]margin-left:-300px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.textie]opacity:0;margin-top:-425px;margin-bottom:150px;width:300px;height:400px;padding:10px;background-color:#fff;border:solid 1px #b7b7b7;color:#939393;text-align:justify;overflow:auto;margin-left:0px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;font:11px calibri;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover .textie]opacity:1;margin-left:610px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.textie::-webkit-scrollbar]width:10px;background:#fff;[/newclass] [newclass=.textie::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background:#b7b7b7;border:2px solid #fff;[/newclass] [newclass=.iconie]opacity:0;margin-top:-240px;margin-left:-220px;margin-bottom:50px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover .iconie]opacity:1;[/newclass] [newclass=.tagsie]opacity:0;font:11px calibri;color:#b7b7b7;margin-top:-75px;margin-left:-75px;margin-bottom:40px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover .tagsie]opacity:1;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass]

"Says the woman using tentacles and has her cleavage out for the world to see," chuckled Hyde as she released him. He blinked when her partner, a Palmon, introduced herself as Lena, despite her tamer's objections. "Nice to meet you," he replied. No sense in being rude after all. "Though there are some who would consider me a 'bad guy'." He then looked over at the woman as she gave him her deal. He gave a small shrug. "Fine by me. Seems we're both here for the same thing. Dig up as much dirt as we can on Crow." After all, why else would the DATS send someone to infiltrate a place like this? Of course, they weren't going to finds anything in here. Bending down to pick up his datagun and holster it, he started to head for the door. "A place like this would have some sort of computer bank, keep all their information secured. We can either try to find it, get inside and hack it from the source, or see if he can hack our way in through one of the terminals in this building." He cautiously poked his head through the door, cheeking to see if there was anyone out there. Noone. The hallway was dark and deserted. Seriously, were there no guards here? "Hacking through a terminal would be more difficult to get into the system, but it's easier to find one then to try and get into the computer bank. No doubt they've got some tight shit around the place." He pulled his head back into the room, looking at the buxom agent who was beside him, "So, which would the lady prefer?"Anais Nestivedrova

[attr="class","biggie"] [attr="class","textie"] Hyde's surprise wasn't really obvious, but far from unexpected either. Leave it to men to see anything perverted about her outfit; this was far too hot an envoiroment to keep her body wrapped in a tight wetsuit, Military grade or not, "Hmph... Men... Always the same.", she scoffed, shaking her head and turning around to quickly find a way out of the room they were stuck in. To his credit, he was willing to accept her deal and save her the trouble of having to arrest them in the middle of her mission, "Good choice." After being silenced by Anais, Lena had taken to being silent for a while, at least to do things her way and decide whether Hyde was good or bad judging by what happened next, she followed the duo as her partner heard the scientist speak his assessment and offer options. "Both work. If we find a terminal, we see layout of building. Use that to find our way to mainframe.", Anais answered, taking point - swapping her handgun for her assault rifle - and trusting Lena (to a lesser extent Hyde) to watch her back. With this, she'd nod towards the dark hallway, relying on her keen eyesight, "Let's go." Hyde nodded, holding his datagun at the ready. As they moved out into the hallway, Hyde took up the rear, Lena positioned between the humans. He hadn't seen any signs of security yet, but Hyde would be a fool to think this would be easy. As they silently made their way through the corridor, they passed numerous office spaces, meeting rooms, and even a break room. As they passed one door, Hyde reached out and quietly tapped Anais on the shoulder to get her attention. Once he had it, he gestured to the door on their right and quietly slipped in. The room was a conference room of sorts, including a terminal most likely used to bring up presentations to project onto a screen. Hyde made his way over to it, cracking his knuckles. "Alrighty, let's see what you've got for me," he murmured softly as his fingers flew over the keyboard. While there could be some way to access the mainframe from here, that wasn't Hyde's intention, probing too deep from a terminal like this could trigger whatever security this place had. No, his goal was something much more accessible. A layout of the building. It didn't take him long before he found what he was looking for. "Alright," Hyde spoke in hushed tones, "The mainframe' a couple of levels above us. I believe I saw a stairway on our way here. It's safer that was than taking the elevator."Anais Nestivedrova

[attr="class","biggie"] [attr="class","textie"] Fortunately it didn't take long for them to find themselves a terminal to use, and with that Hyde got to work, looking for a map of the building, "Be sure to find out where are the security cameras too.", she'd say, keeping watch on the door Anais stood by with Lena as Hyde did his thing on the computer terminal. Unlike her visibly intrigued partner who went "Ooooh" and "wow!" every other second, the stoic commando remained mostly impassive, her arms crossed under her generous cleavage as she watched the scientist before her, as if measuring his abilities. While he was relatively unimpressive with physical combat, behind a keyboard it was a whole other story. "Hmph...", She'd utter with an even tone, and a barely noticeable faint smile and slight nod. This was about the best sign of approval he could hope for right now, perhaps ever. She could understand why the brass were so keen on having this guy on their side, "My thoughts exactly... Let's go." They would find no resistance when heading towards the ladder, but with a proper map, they were also able to get a good look at where the security cameras were positioned, making it a lot easier to find their way around this place. Keeping the same single line formation, she'd let Hyde follow the map he had just located. Turned out the guy was good at running point. With the map they had managed to draw up of the security layout, it wouldn't be hard for them to slip by the security cameras. Just move along the wall under them, keep in their blind spot. There was just something humorous about the idea of a tall, lanky man, a buxom blonde, and a plant digimon sneaking around a building at night like thieves. You just didn't picture it. Eventually the three of them made it to the door leading into the mainframe. As Hyde expected, it was solid steel, compared to the wooden doors the rest of the building had, and locked up tight, a security scanner and keypad required to enter. At least, that's what it would normally require, if there wasn't a genius and a spy trying to sneak in. "Keep a lookout," Hyde whispered as he knelt down and managed to pry the covering of the keypad off. It took a little bit of rewiring before he managed to bypass the code, and the biometric scan entirely. With a small beep, the door began to open. And that's when Hyde paused. Something was wrong. This was almost too easy. When he had glanced at the security layout of the building, it seemed too simplistic. Security camera and a lockdown system for if security was breached, locking the building up tight and keeping everyone either in or out. But that was it. No guards, no nothing. Except for one thing that was on standby that Hyde couldn't get into. That variable bothered him, especially since this was the most sensitive place in the building. "Be careful," he said softly, standing up, "There's something very wrong about all this."Anais Nestivedrova

[attr="class","biggie"] [attr="class","textie"] She didn't want to, especially not at first, but she had to admit... This guy was useful. Hyde was like a Swiss army knife with legs and a gun. First he cracked the terminal without much trouble, and then proceeded to do the same to a keypad on the wall, bypassing the security measure near effortlessly. All of these tasks were ones Anais herself could accomplish, but not as fast and not without any prior knowledge. If she had neither of those things, she naturally relied on another scientist like Hyde on the other side of a comm link. That said, the only reason why she managed to get him to cooperate was that she didn't really want him in DATS on a permanent basis; Nicholas Hyde was too much of a loose cannon to be trustworthy... Not like he wanted to anyway. But still there was something that gave her a bad feeling... They entered this building without any form of alarm going off, hacked a terminal and steered clear of a few security Cameras... This was all the Shin Sekai was capable of?! This was the superpower DATS was so afraid of? No... Whatever real security they had here just hadn't revealed itself yet. Once inside, she let him continue with his Hacking, silently standing guard with a serious stance, Lena followed suit and watched the other angle, and before long Hyde had cracked his way into the mainframe. Even for a scientist DATS was so big on recruiting, this was way too fast. "So you felt it too.", she'd answer plainly, pointing her laser sight back towards the door, with Lena watching around the room just in case anything really bad happened. The Palmon was visibly on edge, and even Anais, even if she didn't show it, "It feels like they are not worried about intruders getting this far. That's rarely good thing..."[attr="class","iconie"] [newclass=.biggie]-webkit-transitionduration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover]margin-left:-300px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.textie]opacity:0;margin-top:-425px;margin-bottom:150px;width:300px;height:400px;padding:10px;background-color:#fff;border:solid 1px #b7b7b7;color:#939393;text-align:justify;overflow:auto;margin-left:0px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;font:11px calibri;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover .textie]opacity:1;margin-left:610px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.textie::-webkit-scrollbar]width:10px;background:#fff;[/newclass] [newclass=.textie::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background:#b7b7b7;border:2px solid #fff;[/newclass] [newclass=.iconie]opacity:0;margin-top:-240px;margin-left:-220px;margin-bottom:50px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover .iconie]opacity:1;[/newclass] [newclass=.tagsie]opacity:0;font:11px calibri;color:#b7b7b7;margin-top:-75px;margin-left:-75px;margin-bottom:40px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover .tagsie]opacity:1;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass]

"Tell me about it," Hyde murmured as he worked his way into the mainframe, "This is normally the time when something seriously wrong happens." He glanced over any piece of data he could find. So far, nothing too important. Timetables, employee salary (which was surprisingly good considering they were working for an evil tyrant), and other miscellaneous facts and figures. Nothing that screamed "Shin Sekai Weak Point". No, what they were looking for, if it was even here, had to be deeper. With as much care as he could, he began to navigate deeper, reaching into the bowels of the digital vault this building held. And then, all of a sudden, the screen went red. Hyde backed up in surprise when an alarm suddenly began to blare. Suddenly, the door slammed shut, the sound of it locking at a red light bathed the room. "Dammit! A trap! No wonder getting here was so easy! The mainframe's nothing more than a gigantic roach hotel!" Suddenly, a sound caught his attention on the far side of the room. He looked over, seeing a door in the wall slowly sliding open, revealing a humanoid figure. An Andromon of all things. There was a gentle hum, and suddenly the android digimon's eyes opened. So that's the security they had here. An automated guard, ready to put down anyone trapped in the room. "Shit! he yelled out as the andromon's chest opened up, firing two missiles right at him. Hyde barely managed to dodge to the side before they slammed into the computers with a powerful explosion. They were trapped in a room with this thing, and their only way to fight back was their weapons and a Palmon. How the hell were they going to survive this!? Anais Nestivedrova

[attr="class","biggie"] [attr="class","textie"] Hyde was right, this whole thing reeked of trap, it was being way too easy. To make matters worse, the supposed mainframe yielded nothing in the form of useful, compromising information on the enemy: In the end being alert did them no good as the alarm bells immediately went off: "Tch...", she clicked her tongue in annoyance, drawing her battle rifle and looking around the room, a lone drop of sweat trailing down her cheeck, "We were sloppy." It was a stupid mistake. The lack of any and all guards should have tipped them off, how easily they could get into the mainframe should have rung proverbial alarm bells in both their heads. But it didn't, and now the real alarms had gone off. Soon enough, the opposite doors opened and an imposing Digimon made its way in. The Shin Sekai's enforcer: "So that is why they only need one guard.", she concluded, swiftly moving for cover as the enemy opened Fire on Hyde, "Incoming!!" Andromon... Perfect level... Anais and Lena had a seen at least one during her adventures, they were fully aware of what that Digimon could do. Never had she regretted her loss of her childhood digivice and the power that came with it. Fortunately, Lena could still digivolve into Champion level, and together with her new digivice, she might have a strategy to face this foe. But this room was much too big for Togemon. "W-why?! Andromon is a good Digimon, why is it teaming up with the bad guys!", Lena whined, frustrated and confused, even more so for not being able to hit Perfect level anymore. They had to get out of here. Trapped like mice inside this room, hacking the door back out wouldn't be possible. Anais had only one way to get out of here, using this new enemy as an involuntary assistant. Anais stepped out of cover, opening fire on the Andromon. Stepping right between him and the closed door, she just kept firing - aiming for his eyes and unarmored spots - goading Andromon to attack her. Either his missiles or his spiral sword could bust up the door enough for them to escape, which was exactly what the commando was waiting for. When one such attack came her way, she'd leap aside immediately, letting the attack hit the wall behind her. It would hurt, but being trapped in here would hurt more... The blast from Andromon's missiles sent Hyde rolling, barely managing to recover and get back to his feet. He heard Lena's cries, demanding to know why an Andromon was working for the SS. "During the war, several machine digimon were indoctrinated into working for the SS. No doubt this is one of them. Andromon are essentially walking automatons after all." It would be hard to program one to act as a guard for this place. Meanwhile, Anais' bullets bounced harmlessly off of Andromon's tough body, the giant robot slowly walking towards her. No need to run really. This machine could take its sweet time hunting down its targets. As it closed in, it brought its arm back, its hand being replaced by a long, electricity charged blade. With barely an emotion on its face, it swung, the blade striking the door hard as Anais rolled to the side. The door was almost completely turn out of the frame, bent horribly and now with enough space for someone to squeeze through and get out. But it would be hard with the andromon there. Suddenly, there was the sound of gunfire and bullets bounced off of Andromon's head, causing the android to turn to see Hyde opening fire with his datagun. "Come and get me you half built piece of scrap!" Hyde yelled, continuing to fire. With its attention drawn from Anais, the Andromon began to slowly walk towards Hyde, as the scientist began to move back amongst the mainframes. Anais Nestivedrova
