[Zachary Scryer]

The roar of the traffic from New York City continued as it always did as it ran around the Williams Academy on the west side. School had started over a mounth ago as the seasons had changed from summer to fall. The air was growing crisper and the leaves browning-- for what trees there were in the city. Zachary Scryer, one of the kids who attended the school, had already adjusted to life now-- especially with his changes. Since becoming a Digimon Tamer, he knew the routines now to keep an active eye out for danger and also to keep his partner hidden. 

Panthermon, his digimon partner was always near. However, it was difficult to hide a giant black jungle cat, especially from his parents in his room. However, Panthermon was a unique digimon with the stealth of a jungle cat and the ability to become invisible. As such, he could easily go around unnoticed most of the time. For now, Panthermon was hiding somewhere on the top of the school, looking through a window as he crouched low to the ground in a sitting position. In it, he could see Zachary with his bag with other kids, getting ready for a school trip. 

"Okay, class!" The female teacher said, drawing their attention. "We will be heading for the bus now. Remember to stay in line and behave yourselves." 

Needless to say, it wasn't so orderly as all the kids proceeded out of the school and onto the bus. Everyone was chatting and talking about their own things. Following them from above, Panthermon easily watched Zachary as he was on line for the bus and eventually got on. Though Panthermon couldn't actually get on himself, he planned to merely hop along the streets and rooftops, following where Zachary went. 

What is the nature of this trip,  Panthermon asked Zachary via the small connection between them. Another one of the digimon's talents.

It's a class trip to the Museum of Natural History, Zachary explained, doing his best to keep his expression in check so no one would think he was talking to himself. It's a place with exhibits to show the history of the planet, at least a good portion of it.

As he sat in his seat, he glanced around. Some of the school kids he was with were nice, but some bad apples were always among them. The kind that caused trouble for others. Before long, the bus started up and once everyone was on board and seated, it drove out from the school towards the Museum of Natural History.

Little did Zachary know just how exciting it was going to be from what he started to believe.

(OOC NOTE: For those of you just joining-- this is an Open RP thread taking place around the Museum of Natural History. In the span of a few posts, a digital field will emerge engulfing the entire museum. The people inside who have no knowlege of digimon will be frozen in time as in a parallel space, digimon will begin to emerge. Taking on the qualities of the exhibits around them, Dinosaur digimon will emerge and now prowl the museum till they are capable of escaping the digital field.

Your goal, defeat the dinosaur digimon-- and eventually find the BOSS, the leader who was responsible for bringing all his dino-friends with him.

Feel free to be creative. Research 'Museum of Natural History" exhibits and consider what other digimon would fit in to this setting. However, by whatever means you enter the digital field from the inside or outside, key terms apply.

1. the inside public are not around within the digital field-- to prevent mass panic, to them its like time stopped.

2. Keep within theme and do not let the battle ultimately destroy the building that would forcefully influence others' actions.

3. Also when digital field ends and if digimon are successfully defeated, the museum will return to its former state without anyone truly noticing.

4. Also, while the people inside trapped can't interact-- the outside is still moving at normal time, unable to enter the area due to the 'fog' making it incapable to enter-- unless you are a digimon or have a digivice.

[Tobias Jones]

Fall was Tobias' favorite season. The leaves changing color, animals preparing for their hibernation.
Tobias pulled his knitted hat over his head, just so his ears wouldn't get cold. The class was already putting their jackets on, which meant it was probably time to head to the bus.
The teacher drew his attention by saying they were going to head for the bus. The teen swung his bag over his shoulder, the bag that his mom had packed for him.

As they exited the school, Tobias lazily made his way to the bus. He didn't understand why people were so eager about going to a goddarn museum. He wasn't interested in those stuff.
He entered the bus, looking around to find a seat. Tobias ended up noticing that the seat next to Zachary was still free, so he made his way to his classmate and plumped down. "Hey." He said, before his hand dug into his bag. Luckily his mom had packed him some cookies, homemade, of course.
"So.. are you up for some fun at the Museum?" He asked Zachary, turning his head slightly to look at Zachary. But suddenly something else had caught his eye. He had a perfect view on the bikes that stood on the school grounds, but that wasn't what had caught his attention. Something sat on his bike. Something.. white.

Tobias narrowed his eyes, before realizing who it was. The Calumon toy from that old man's shop!
In a blink of an eye, it was gone. Tobias leaned back in his seat, rubbing his eyes like he was trying to get his act together. There was no way Digimon were real, so why was that toy following him around.. like.. everywhere? He saw it at his house, outside on the balcony, it was basically everywhere!

The bus finally started driving, and Tobias tried to relax and shake away the thought of Digimon being real.

Zachary was lost in thought till he felt the seat next to him shift. Looking there, he soon realized he was joined by Tobias-- Tobi for short. He was a blond kid close to his age with a knitted hat over his head and blue clothing. Zachary didn't mind him at all, as he was generally nice. Though he seemed a bit indifferent about the trip, especially how he asked Zachary if he was looking forward to it.  "Oh yeah. I love the museum," Zachary said, smiling a bit. Being a bit of the bookish type by nature, Zachary enjoyed any chance to go to the museum of Natural History. He loved seeing the planetarium, the cultural exhibits, the animals-- and especially the dinosaur exhibit. The movies and attractions were amazing and he been looking forward to this. "I got a whole list of things I wanna check out if we can. I haven't been there for a long time now," he said, remembering when he was 11.

It was then he saw Tobi acting strange. He glanced out the window, but by that time, the white thing that was there was gone. He blinked and looked to Tobi. "You doing okay? Something wrong, Tobi?" he asked.

Of course, Zachary didn't hear it but over the roar of the bus and his classmates causing issues, his digivice was beeping to the presence of another digimon. Still they continued to drive towards the museum.

The drive was no more than a half hour as they soon pulled into the drive-in section behind the museum for buses to come and drop off kids. Naturally, they were not the only group of kids traveling to visit the museum as many came here. There were one school among a few it seemed as they got in line with other buses. As the bus stopped, Zachary and the other kids one by one got off in order. With his hands in his jacket pocket, he got off with Tobias.

"Welcome to the Museum of Natural History," one of the museum staff said that came to welcome the group. "Please take your school ID tags with you and put them on, so you will have access to the exhibits and so you don't get lost. We also will be following a tour through the museum with a break later on to have lunch." He then gestured to the door leading inside. "Inside there will be a small security check, so please be ready to put your bags and pockets clean please.

With the line for secuirity was long, Zachary wasn't too worried-- unless they were going to give him a hard time explaining his digivice. Still, he wasn't worried.

As they proceeded to enter the building, Zachary couldn't help but wonder about Panthermon. Panthermon, are you going to try and get in too? Just be sure you are careful. Museum security is sharp when they wanna be. Zachary thought.

Off on the onlooking building from the museum, Panthermon sat like a gargoyle overlooking the bus as Zachary and his classmates entered the museum. The panther looked on with interest, but heard Zachary's mental directed question. "Don't you worry about me. I'll be around and unnoticed. For now, I'm just looking around. Something caught my attention I like to check out."

A sigh escaped Zachary, worrying just what his partner found. "Okay, then. Just be careful," Zachary said softly, that time a little aloud out of habit.

As this happened, Panthermon observed the surroundings of the building. There was an open window he could easily pounce to from where he was stalking and no one would notice him through it. However... something caught his eyes as he looked around.

Tobias inwardly groaned as Zachary said that he enjoyed the Museum, well, Tobias really didn't like things like these. They had history class for this crap, he didn't have to see it with his own eyes. The only thing he might want to see was the place where that skeleton of the T-rex stood. His mom practically forced him to go to this school trip, really. He kind of wanted to call in sick, but he got caught red handed as he was trying to draw red dots on his face with a permanent marker.

"I see.." Tobi said, rather uninterested as Zachary said there was a bunch of things he wanted to see. It wasn't like he didn't like Zachary, it was just the subject itself was.. boring.

When Zachary asked if he was okay, Tobias nodded heavily. "Uh, yeah. Sorry dozed off there." He said, before summoning up a lie. "I'm fine now, but I kind of felt sick this morning, my mom just forced me to go."

After about 30 minutes, the bus finally pulled over at the parking lot of the Museum, much to Tobias' annoyance. Couldn't they have like a car accident or something?
Tobias quietly followed Zachary out of the bus, swinging his bag over his shoulder.

Of course there would be a security inspection, that was lame. Tobias groaned softly, sliding his bag off his back so they could check it once it was his turn. At that moment, he decided to look around. Maybe he would find that Calumon again.
And speaking of the devil.
There it was, on the windowsill, staring at him with those big green eyes. It was smiling mischievously at Tobias, who simply stared at it like the digimon was a ghost.
"Your bag please." Tobias ignored the question, and the Calumon tilt his head. "Hey kid, your bag." Tobias snapped out of his thoughts and looked at the man. "Oh, right." He muttered, before handing the staff his bag.
When he was done being checked, he looked back at the place where he saw Calumon. Of course the thing was gone, it never remained on one spot.

He stopped next to Zachary, and turned a little as he heard the fellow student mumble softly. "Huh? Careful for what?" Tobias asked, scratching his head, the knitted hat sliding up and down. "Let me ask you this, are you okay?" Tobias questioned with a smirk.

Calumon now floated in the air, before making his way behind the curtains of a "Staff Only" room. The digimon began to giggle, before sitting down on one of the props. A casket from a mummy. He was completely unaware of another digimon on the premises.

Zachary Scryer

It was clear Tobi didn't share Zachary's love of going to the museum. They were pretty different, and though while Tobi meant no harm to Zachary, the shrug off and non-interest made Zachary feel bad. Zachary was one of the few people who took his schooling seriously and enjoyed trips to the museum to actually see the artifacts and close up exhibits. It was the closest thing to traveling the world himself. At least he was no bully. Just different. Regarding that, Zachary kept quiet about it, sensing the cold attitude he had. 

WHen asked about who he was talking to... Zachary froze up for a moment and looked to see Tobias next to him. Zachary had finished the security check, and took back his jacket, which had his phone, wallet, pass and digivice, along with the cards he took on his trip. "Oh, um, its nothing. Just thinking aloud is all," Zachary said as calmly as possible.

It was difficult for him to adjust to using just telepathy. It was strange how Panthermon could pick up his thoughts like that, and he was still trying to figure out how it worked. Still, Panthermon could always sense him and reach him if needed.

As they finally got into the museum, they began to go up the stairway, leading out from the basement area that was parallel to the subway entrance-- and would lead to the main hallway. There was the cultural exhibit-- artwork and artifacts from many countries sorted by continent. Native american, Africa, South America and Asia. Even national artifacts since the founding of the United States. And it was one of many sections, including the planetarium, the animal exhibits, prehistoric, and dinosaurs further up the buildings' floor.

While clearly Tobi didn't appreciate such a cultural experience, Zachary was. "I swear, this place is great. I mean people come from all over the world to see these things," He said, knowing well it was one of New York's best tourist spots.

Still, he was concerned how Tobi viewed him for being enthusiastic about this place. Either way, Zachary went with the group, as they now entered the cultural exhibit, seeing the different artifacts, weapons, goods made by people of different countries in history.

As this was going on, Panthermon noticed something. The little white creature that scrured through the nearby window he had spotted and entered the museum. With a simple twitch of his ears and nose, he could sense it immediately. It was a digimon. Curious, Panthermon crouched low like a jungle cat, and then took off into the air. The mighty jungle cat easily jumped onto one of the lamp posts overreaching the street, and from there ran and jump to a nearby tree planted nearby. He easily scaled the traffic and landed over on the catwalk that lined the building. He was moving so fast that if anyone saw him, he would just look like a big blur. Finally as he was out in clear sunlight-- he vanished from sight, entering his invisible state. Moving as silently as a ghost, the panther snuck into the building through the window, and followed the scent of the white creature.

Panthermon easily stalked his way behind security staff that was looking around, walking behind them without even a gesture to him. The cat was careful as he easily walked between people and near the wall, avoiding contact with them. Seeing the curtain that said staff only, Panthermon easily slipped by it. It was there he saw the little white creature playing on top of one of the sarcophagus, not aware of how valuable it was.

Like the jungle cat he was, Panthermon crept up behind it. Soft paws stepped one after the other as he got closer to the little creature, like a predator stalking a little rabbit. The twinge of animal instinct surged through his body. Being a beast-type digimon, the sensations of being a real animal almost seemed pre-programmed into him and allowed him to mimic the same behavior. He was soon a foot away from the little animal as it innocently played around.

Panthermon sniffed the air, hearable to Calumon. It was then Panthermon dropped his camouflage to reveal his dark form. "Excuse me..." Panthermon growled softly, almost to sound intimidating-- even if he wasn't trying to.

Jungle cats were easily antagonized for being sneaky and scary at first glance.

The moment Calumon would jump (if he did anyway) , Panthermon pounced and took hold of Calumon with his paws! The cat pounced on him like a mouse, trapping the little creature under his paw. "Quit squirming. I'm not gonna hurt you, just calm down..." Panthermon said in a clear but low tone, so no one else would overhear them.

Tobias frowned a little at the excuse that Zachary had given him. Why would he tell himself to be careful? That's usually something you tell a friend of some sorts, but not yourself. "Right.." He replied, but followed Zachary anyway. Since when was his friend acting this odd? Sure he was a bit of a bookworm in class, but Tobias never judged him because of that. "Hey, you know you can tell me anything, right? I mean.. if somethings bothering you." he told Zachary, trying to sound sincere because this gesture was clearly out of his character. He usually looked like he didn't care, but he wanted to let Zachary know that he was there for him.

As they were walking up the stairs, Tobias stuffed his hands in his pockets. At least this was better than actually following class right?
The boy then ruffled in his bag, only to groan when he found out his mom had removed his slingshot. "Aw man." he muttered, swinging his bag back of her shoulder. The only thing that would grant him some entertainment was gone.
He then heard Zachary say that the place was great, that people from all over the world traveled to see this Museum. "Well hey, if they want to see something old and historic they should take a look at Miss Florance." He joked, obviously naming the biology teacher that looked like she was about to turn 70 years old or something. "Though, no offense to the Museum.. I know how much you like the place.." Tobias told Zachary, kind of adjusting his behavior so he wouldn't ruin this day out for his friend.
Tobias then turned quiet as he followed the group into the cultural exhibit. The weapons caught Tobias' interest, but he tried to act nonchalant as if he wasn't fazed by it. He touched the glass that contained a spear, probably from the Roman Empire.

While Tobias was simply trying to enjoy the trip to the Museum, Roamer was enjoying himself in the staff room. The little digimon was still thinking about pranks to pull on Tobias, so he hadn't heard the other digimon sneak up on him. Of course, who would, because that black cat certainly knew how to go around unseen.

Though, then Roamer heard sniffing behind him and he turned while jumping up so he could fly away. Unfortunately right as he did so the Panthermon became visible and growled at him. The In-training shrieked, but was pinned down on one of the artifacts he had been sitting on.
Squirming like his life depended on it, Roamer was about to cry for help. Until.. the digimon that had captured him told him he wasn't going to hurt him.
"W-what?" Roamer stammered, his green eyes wide with fear. "L-let me go!" The Calumon pleaded. This wasn't the way to go, he just wanted to play around.. he meant to harm to anyone.

Zachary turned to Tobi and just kept an honest look to him. "I'm fine, really. Just was thinking aloud for a moment. Anyway I get it. Its cool if this isn't your thing... I just enjoy this place. Makes me feel I am really am in some other part of the world. Traveling isn't easy in real life, you know?" he explained as they moved through the exhibit. Though the tour guide was talking, and the other students were exploring, he was able to still talk a bit. Zachary really didn't get his joke but it was clear Tobi was alot kinder than he pretended to be at times. Same could be said for Zachary, too since he had to be on guard at times. "Har har..." he said as they moved to the next section of the museum.

As they passed however, strange things began to happen as the lights began to slowly flicker. It was subtle but nothing major.

Back in the storage room, Panthermon had the little white digimon pinned by his paw. Despite the little guy struggling, Panthermon's paw was firm and kept him in place. He didn't intend to scare or hurt the little digimon, but still the little guy pleaded to be let go. A sigh escaped the giant panther as he listened and looked at the little digimon. "I will let you go, if you calm down. Okay? Just stay put and let's talk for a minute." he said.

Calmly, he unflexed his paw and lifted it off Calumon's plump little body, allowing him to get up. Sitting down, the cat sat patiently next to Calumon, still looking down since he was much taller than the little digimon. "Now, who are you and what are you doing here in this place? You should be more careful in this city. Its no place for a digimon to go alone," The panther said, his tone a bit superior since he was a bit more experienced in New York City.

As the tour continued, they had entered the elaborate diaramas of the different ages, both animals and people who lived there. There were tribal people hunting and other scenes that illustrated historic events. As some of the students sat on the benches as the guide talked, Zachary was one of the few standing nearby with Tobi.

It was then that Zachary's pocket started to beep. Hearing it, Zachary immediately put his hand over his pocket, trying to stifle the sound. "Great, what now...?" Zachary said softly as he took out his digivice and looked at the screen, beeping steadily. Panthermon, what is going on? What are you up to? he thought for the telepathic link.

There was no answer, but as he waited, the digivice produced the holographic screen. Zachary kept it out of sight as best as he could but it popped up on its own. Looking at it, it showed the same white digimon that Panthermon was presently 'hunting'. "H-huh? Calumon, in training digimon? " he said, curious to see such a cheerful looking digimon roaming around in the museum.

Tobias smiled at Zachary once the boy told him that it was cool he didn't like the place. Good, because then he could just cut the act and instead go back to not caring at all. "Hmm, I see." Tobias said, stuffing his hands in his pockets again. "I do understand though, this place looks amazing even though it doesn't interest me. It does feel like you're somewhere completely different." He sighed afterwards, oh he understood traveling wasn't easy, same thing with fitting in. Tobias still felt like an outcast in his family, he didn't belong to them. He didn't belong anywhere.

The teen looked up when the lights started flickering, well that was odd. Tobias checked out if any of the guards were aware of it, and apparently they were looking up themselves.

Roamer was still pinned down by Panthermon at the time, the little in-training was still struggling to get out from under the other digimon's paw. The black panther sighed, and then told him he would let him go if he'd just calm down.
"O-okay." The Calumon replied, with a shaky voice. And as the Panthermon lift his paw off Calumon, the little digimon relaxed and used his tiny hands to dust himself off. He looked at the rookie digimon with green curious eyes as the Panther asked him all of those questions.
"I.. I'm Roamer." He said, ears shrinking to little stubs. "I really don't want to cause any trouble, mister black cat. But I'm here for my tamer, although I can't seem to find the courage to just walk up to him and tell him." The in-training said, with a bit of a nervous voice. "All I can seem to do is make my tamer feel like he's going nuts." Though the little digimon started giggling at that. "It looks funny when he thinks he's seeing things." Of course Roamer was aware that the City was a dangerous place, but he got away with a lot of things. "Like I said, I'm just trying to find the right moment to reveal myself to him."

Tobias was simply staring at the dioramas of the history, it looked like he was actually into the stuff until he heard something beep behind him. The boy turned to see Zachary take out a weird device, which.. looked a lot like a digivice. It was then that the boy connected the dots.

That Calumon that was following him. It was a real digimon! He wasn't seeing things, they were REALLY there!
Tobias stared at Zachary as the boy was checking out the screen, the boy casually walked beside him when Zachary was trying to hide whatever was happening.
The moment the Calumon popped up on his screen, Tobias stiffened. "H-hey." Tobias stammered with a hushed voice. "Are.. are they real?"

Her science teacher had pulled quite a fast one on Yana's class! The day after one of her adventures in the digital world, she was immediately greeted by a surprise assignment, with only two days to do it! He wanted a report on dinossaurs!? His timing was awful, that was just about the only conclusion Yana could make. She was a smart student, but as of late she had been immersed in her digital life and didn't really feel like staying away from it just because of school work. Thus, she instead tried to mix the two together and see what she could come up with... And therein laid the answer! The solution to both the urgent need for information, and the solution to teh lack of time to be in the Digital world. Fortunately, she had access to a treasure trove of information than most other kids hadn't and she could easily wager that her teacher hadn't either: The digital world could easily open gates between different parts of the real world, so maybe she could try and visit a museum or something if she went through it? Something she'd never be able to do from Japan alone. This was her great motivation, but not the greatest. Truth be told, Yana was determined to discover whether or not she was indeed able to travel across the globe using the Digital world as a stepping stone. That was her plan anyway... But then there's a long way to go between making the plan and actually seeing it through, a lot of things that can suddenly go wrong. This was one of those times... Mind you, thing didn't actually stat going wrong up until the last part. So there she was, flying on Nefertimon's back as Ari lead her through the skies at high speed. The digital world mirrored the real world, so while it would be easier to fly around due to the overwhelming amount of flying obstancles, it should still allow her to cross all the way to the American east coast. But as they arrived, something wierd popped into mind... Why was there a massive distortion in the middle of nowhere...? More importantly, why was there so many digimon around it?! SHe could spy Tyranomon, Triceramon, and at least two Monochromon. All of the Digimon here looked like Dinosaur types. Wild roars filled the air as one of the Triceramon desperately clawed away at the distortion, gradually making it wider. What was on the other side?! They looked desperate to get in... Before long Yana couldn't simply soar around anymore and not investigate it herself: "According to the Digivice, we should be right around New York in the real world! Lets have a look in there!", Yana asked Nefertimon "Alright... Here goes!" Taking a moment in between Tyranomon's stretching attacks, Nefertimon soared into the distortion, finding herself in what appeared to be a museum! But something was odd... Almost everyone looked frozen, stopped halfway through what they were doing. Confused and lost, Yana nonetheless heard her Digivice beep and tried to look around for other tamers, flying overhead on Ari...

Panthermon blinked as the little white digimon moved about and brushed himself off. The cat loomed his head over him, studying his child-like behavior. According to him, his name was Roamer. Panthermon nodded at that with a hum of his voice. "Nice to meet you. I'm Panthermon," Panthermon introduced himself to get pleasantries across. It then became clear the little guy wasn't just some stray digimon wandering around. He was looking for his human partner. The panther's eyes widened a bit, learning that another person nearby was possibly this little digimon's partner. "So your tamer is here? Does he have a Digivice, or what? "

The more mature panther was curious to understand the situation this digimon had to find his human partner. He was not sure how the humans and digimon were united. When he first emerged in the real world, to find his own partner, Zachary, was almost instinct and it drove him as his only operation. He NEEDED Zachary, and it drove the cat to find and follow Zachary, till they finally met. It was never a super smooth process. For Calumon here, Roamer, he could only imagine it was similar. However, how the little digimon was giggling how his human partner acted, it seemed like it was going slower than anticipated. After seeing the white digimon laugh a bit, the black cat cocked his head in thought. "Why don't I help you find your tamer. Sometime its easier if someone explains it to them. Actually, my own tamer is not too far away."

Back in the museum, Zachary had observed his digivice-- but it was ended as he saw Tobi catch him. He recognized the digivice, and worse-- the fact he noticed the digimon. He seemed shocked as he asked 'were they real...?'.

Panic suddenly struck Zachary as his grip on his digivice tightened. He had tried so hard to keep the secret of him being a Digimon Tamer and to protect his partner as well. Now it was blown open by Tobi. Zachary froze for a moment, his face stricken with shock. He didn't know what to say. If someone else knew, if Tobi started to yell it...

... Zachary took off running from the group. Afraid Tobi would blow his secret, he felt the sudden need to get away from the entire group and class. As he ran off away from them, as he was at the end of the room-- his digivice started beeping again. This time in a more urgent, high-pitched whine.

Skidding to a stop, he looked at the device with an annoyed expression. "Oh, great! What now?" Zachary groaned as he looked at it.

However, it was no other digimon reading-- but a warning indicator. The screen flashed red, and the sound continued. It was not a good sound, that much he knew as an ominous feeling crept up behind Zachary.

Something was coming...


From even where Panthermon was now, his head snapped up to the air above him. Panthermon could sense it! Digimon-- and a LOT of them! They were coming closer and closer. His eyes became feral and he gave a panther-like growl, looking around. "No... Digimon are coming!" he snarled, and looked to Roamer. "Stay close to me, got it?" The panther demanded.


Then from all over the museum, the lights flickered, the computers and cell phones began to become static-like, and finally the air became dense and thick. Suddenly, from parts of the room, a strange fog suddenly gushed out from out of nowhere! It filled the corridors in seconds. Every room began to cloud up and people seemed to vanish under the shroud of the fog. Strangely, it felt more like a flow-- than an explosion. Oddly, no one seemed to notice it-- except for Zachary, Panthermon, Roamer... and even Tobi as the field appeared.

As they noticed the fog grow thick , so too did they notice the people around them suddenly begin to vanish. However, from everyone else's perspective, it was they who seemed to vanish.

As the fog faded, Zachary looked to discover the museum around him. He lowered his arms, having guarded himself from the strange fog explosion. However as he looked around, no one else around. It was as if the entire museum was empty, save for the exhibits and them. The fog had become less dense, but parts of it still lingered.

Slowly Zachary looked around, realizing just how drastically the scene around him changed. "Oh god... what just happened...?" Zachary gasped.

From the outside of the museum, the thick fog covered the entire building. Though appearing to be just fog, it was impossible to get through or communicate through it. It was now clear to anyone who had knowledge of the digital world that the entire building had been enveloped in a strange digital field-- a place where digimon could slowly materialize into the real world!

OOC Update: A digital field has appeared around the museum of natural history. While inside, you will encounter several kinds of digimon based on the exhibits inside-- mostly however, dinosaurs as dinosaur digimon had worked together to try and breech the real world, and led by a 'leader' somewhere inside. The leader will be revealed later.

Goals: Defeat the dinosaur digimon-- while avoiding causing mass destruction to the museum.

Enemy dinosaurs will be around Rookie to Champion Level difficulty. Any new members to join will start entering the digital field. Thank you and enjoy! ^^

Leon had managed to finally set aside some time for himself.  A day to relax and try to begin to understand things, because he had a lot of questions for Rias.  He was caught up in admiring the state of the well preserved fossil eggs.  Over his usual attire of looking very business like, he wore a black business jacket over his blue button up and black dress vest.  He still didn't wear a tie, because he found it hard to breath wearing one.  Looking over the exhibit, he heard the distant chatter of what sounded like a school trip.  Cracking a small smile as he remembered those days.  His Digivice hung from his belt, in view if someone payed enough attention, but most would miss it if they weren't looking for it.  


"Kids today, I hope they find as much enjoyment as I did when I first came here.  Years of history, yet raveled in mystery.  If only we could fully learn the truth about their past, imagine what we could learn," he said out loud to himself.  He felt a small rustling in the messenger bag that he kept as his side and noticed the flap pop up some as the small yellow creature looked out and gave a yawn.


"What's so entertaining about this place?" she asked, giving another yawn and smacking her lips.  "There isn't even any food here.  Master, I'm hungry.  When are we gonna eat again, huh?" Rias asked as she opened her eyes slightly, lightly wagging her tail inside the bag.  She was in her Fresh form, so she looked like this strange yellow ball of fluff.  She also spent a large majority of her time either sleeping or eating. 


"Hungry again?  You just ate an hour ago.  How can you eat so much food?  At this rate, we won't have enough money to live," he gave an exasperated sigh of defeat, hanging his head low and shaking it from side to side.  Giving in to a small grin, he glanced back down to the yellow ball of fluff that was peeking from his bag.  


"Fine.  We'll get something once we get out of here.  Maybe a pretzel to hold you over,"  he said in defeat.  Before he could have a moment to recover from that defeat at the hands of Rias' hunger, he noticed something was wrong.  It was starting to get quiet.  At this moment, the device that was confused about began beeping at his waist.


It was at the moment, that Rias began growling from inside the bag.  Poking her head out the bag almost completely, her fur standing up on end.  "Somethings not right.  I can sense danger.  Please keep an eye out," she growled under her voice as she tried to glance around the best she could from inside the bag.

Yet the wierdness was only just beginning! Her Digivice kept on beeping idly, again and again, and Yana had absolutely no idea of what the hell was happening here. They were in the museum of natural history, she was sure of that much... But not long after she passed through the portal she began finding herself enshrounded by an eerie mist, and if that weren't enough the mostly frozen people she noticed were gradually disappearing, as if phasing out of existance, looking as if they turned into data. Flying on Nefertimon's back, Yana felt a cold sweat trail down her face. Something was seriously wrong and she had no idea of what it was or why, let alone how to fix it: "This is bad, Ari...", she thought out loud to her partner, "Whatever's happening here looks big!", she said without even the slightest hint of irony, even with all the dinosaur skeletons in her and dinosaur digimon out there... Ari still chuckled of course, Yana was funniest when she didn't try to, earning a pouting whine from the girl herself, "Jeez, what are you laughing at? This is serious!" For now, all she could do was look around, flying around the museum and looking at the exhibits, taking care not to knock any of them down. It was hard to believe she could still be learning and taking in information in such a situation, but Yana's ever attentive eyes took in every inch of surroudings and everytime she saw a new dinousaur skeleton she leaned back on Ari. This was a perfectly clear sign that she wanted to slow down and Ari did so to a fault. Yana looked at the digivice, she had to do this every now and then to see whether or not she found any relevant information, owing to the incessant beeping. And for once, she did: "There's another Digivice, over there!!", she pointed at a hallway, beyond which her Digivice had picked up a signature. There were plenty of digimon outside in the Digital world waiting to get in... Hoewever many tamers were inside the museum, they had to stop it before the enemies got inside. At least the dinosaurs inside were all dead... Or so she though! Soon they could swear they felt the museum quaking, and before long a Tyranomon had appeared out of nowhere!! "Nana-chan!! He's gonna break up the exhibits!" "Let's draw him away from here!" Yana answered urgently, pushing up her glasses and steering Ari with her own weight, since she was able to see all around them she knew the best way to do this. If they attacked Tyranomon from the right angle and got it to chase them, it would have no option but to chase after them and no time to bust up the museum. Soon, Ari turned around and faced her foe, shooting out gems from her paws, "Nile Jewelry!!" They would hit Tyranomon square in the face and it would roar menacingly, chasing after them... Hopefully the other tamer would notice her.

Roamer smiled a bright smile at the Panthermon, realizing the rookie digimon was not going to attempt to injure him. As Panthermon asked if his tamer was here, the Calumon nodded. “Yes, and no.” His ears going back to their usual state, all puffy and big. “Actually, I don’t know if my tamer has a digivice. Technically he hasn’t met me yet, but I’m really sure it’s him.”
Then the Panthermon offered to help him find Tobias, and the Calumon became a little flustered. “Well.. uh.. I doubt we could reveal ourselves here.” He told the black cat-like digimon. He didn’t think that the cat-like digimon was a partner mon himself, but, things could surprise you sometimes. “I wouldn’t want other humans freaking out and all..”

Back with Tobias, Zachary got startled by Tobias calling him out in the open. Of course it was but a mere hushed “are they real” but it didn’t shock Tobias that Zachary ran off.
Tobias, of course being persistent, ran after his classmate. “Hey!” He hissed, and staggered once Zachary skidded to a stop.
That was odd. “Zachary.” Tobias started, a frown on his face when the boy groaned something. “I just want to know.. are Digimon.. real?” He asked again, hoping Zachary wouldn’t run away from him this time.
Tobias stared at the digivice that Zachary was holding, its screen was blinking red.
The boy didn’t really know what was gong on, but he was truly conflicted. Were Digimon real?

With Roamer, Panthermon snapped his head up, startling the in-training digimon. “Huh?” Roamer said, tilting his head slightly askew. Though as the rookie said that he had to stay close to him the digimon wildly shook his head. “N-no! I have to get to Tobias!” He exclaimed, before taking off into the air. As soon as the Calumon did that, he noticed the strange fog beginning to appear in the Museum. “Uh-oh..” Roamer whispered, before floating as fast as he could. He had to get to Tobias!

Tobias noticed that people were disappearing, the boy turning around like he had gone mad. “W-what’s going on?!” He exclaimed, reaching out for one of his friends that suddenly vanished. The blonde would then turn to Zachary, as he was the only one left. His classmate seemed to look just as confused as he was, asking the same question Tobias was about to ask. “Z-Zachary what’s..?” Until a flying Calumon hovered towards the boy. “Tobi~!” The digimon yelled, in some kind of heroic manner. “I’ll save you!”
Once Tobias got a better look at the Calumon, the boy froze. “You.” He said, Calumon simply snickered. “I’m sorry we had to meet this way, tamer!”
Tobias looked at the fog getting less thick, and then back at the Calumon. “I- I’m sorry but what?”

"W-wait come back here! It's dangerous," Panthermon shouted but it seemed Calumon flew off to find his tamer, unaware of the danger appearing outside. For Panthermon however, he tried to follow but the fog-- the actual digital field was filling in, making following and navigating the museum difficult.

Zachary had stopped and observed his surroundings change, followed by the strange thumps on the ground and the clashes of objects. However, the field was too thick! Zachary wasn't going to be able to see Yana easily, or the enemy she was fighting off in another section of the museum. Sounds he could see but the field was still thick. At first, Zachary thought he was alone-- however, the sound of Tobi beside him, made him realize otherwise.

Zachary was shocked to see Tobi in the digital field with him, him asking if Digimon was real. "Um... well, how can I put this..?" Zachary said, trying to explain-- but was cut off when Calumon decided to fly right up and into Tobi. Even more surprising , he actually called him his tamer. Though Tobi was not one to understand as Calumon pretty much was happy to find him. Zachary would of imagined the little guy flying into his face and hugging him.

However, they wouldn't have time for a warm and touching greeting. As they were there, they could hear something. A type of 'growl' or 'purr', and the clicking of claws on the stone floor. Turning around, Zachary looked through the fog to see what was there. "P-panthermon?" Zachary asked, hoping to see his black cat friend.

But it wasn't.

From out of the corner of the hall appeared two red, reptilian-like digimon with white underbellies and black markings on their bodies. They sniffed around, and made rather feral sounds, eventually settling their eyes on them. They were Guilmon-- dinosaur like digimon.

"Thats.. not Panthermon," Zachary said as he got out his digivice-- causing the data to upload and read out who they were. "Guilmon. Rookie Level, Virus type. Special attack, Pyrosphere," he read aloud.

The digimon sniffed in their direction, but they didn't speak. it was possible they were purely wild, but Zachary remembered how sweet and nice they could behave in the tv show. "Um... maybe they are friendly?"

However, their eyes grew narrow at them, and one of them inhaled, a glow coming from its mouth. "KHaaaaa!" it growled, and fired a ball of fire for them! Lucky for them, the sphere shot overhead and to the ceiling, missing them. Zachary let out a shout as the fireball went off, causing the dinosaurs to slowly stalk towards them, moving like actual raptor-dinosaurs.

"I swear I saw this in a movie once and it didn't end well..." Zachary said meekly as he knew they were in trouble. "RUN!!"

Reaching for Tobi, Zachary grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him along as he ran, trying to find a safe place for them to hide and get away from the Guilmon. Naturally, the two dinosaurs began to chase them, either angered or wanting to eat them. Most likely the latter!

Zachary led Tobi down the exhibit hallway into one of the staffing hallways, normally closed off to the public. "Panthermon! Where the hell are you?!" Zachary shouted out to nowhere, hoping his partner knew they were in trouble and was coming over. They soon found a door that led to a laboratory like room. Opening it up, Zachary led Tobi and Calumon inside and slammed the door shut, resting his back behind it. He reached for the door to try and lock it... but there was no lock.

"Just great... Tobi try to find something to block the -- DOOR?!" Zachary gasped as he looked at the glass window of the door-- getting an eye full of a Guilmon's face as it looked at him through the window. A puff of its nostrils fogged up the glass, clearly smelling them inside.

Zachary quickly pushed himself up against the door and immediately felt it jolt, the dinosaur trying to get inside.

Meanwhile... Panthermon was trying to navigate through the halls to Zachary. He could sense his partner was in danger, but the digimon was having a hard time finding where his partner was with no tracks to follow and all the fog of the digital field obscuring his vision. He heard Zachary's distress clearly. While he worried where Calumon ran to, he was more concerned for his defenseless human partner. "Hold on, I'm coming!" Panthermon growled, hurrying through the exhibits to find him.

Hearing a distant roar, he grasped the digivice firmly in his hand.  He turned around, trying to find the source of the sound.  His feet began leading him while his mind wondered why.  He felt the urge deep inside of him, he had to do something and find out what was going on.  Glancing up, he saw what looked like a girl riding a creature with wings.  He saw that attack that they hit the large creature with and looked on astonished.  


"Rias, I think we should help.  What do you think?" he said, trying to steel himself for what would essentially be their first real attempt at a fight.  He held the digivice in his hand, the screen beginning to glow.


"I agree," she said, making her way out of the bag and leaping out.  "But I'm useless in this form... It's time to get stronger!" Rias growled as she felt this urge to join the fight.  She felt a surge of energy rise within her as she began charging in to try and help with the fight.  Feeling in sync with the energy, the yellow ball of fluff she was began to glow and radiate with the digivice.  Her body began to take on a new form, a larger shape.  She began to form a slender body and fully formed arms and legs, as she felt her body begin to lower to the ground again, she stood on her own two feet, clenching her fists tightly as a smirk grew on her face.  "Now this is much better."

Feeling like her old self again, she moved off to the side of the creature in order to try and attack it with a sneak attack.  Her presence being concealed by her Shadow Walk ability, she began looking for a weak spot.  Deciding to take a shot at an opening, she kept her presence hidden as best she could, crossing her arms over her chest and began gathering her energy.  Glowing shards of what appeared to be crystals were floating around her body.  Releasing her arms from infront of her and flinging them forward, she commanded the shards to take flight at the blindside of the creature, to attempt for the most amount of damage possible.  "Diamond Storm!" she cried out as the shards took flight at the large Tyrannomon.
