Call me a sinner "In other ways?" Theos asked remaining where he fell to the ground.
"In other words use your brains. Toss a rock while hidden or use your surroundings to confuse them." Dantelion says.
Theos huffed. He had been using his brains. Though he guessed it didn't matter much when someone was smarter than him.
"You just need to round out a bit." Dantelion says softly and pets Theos's head. "You'll learn with experience."
"I'd hope so else I'd be a lost cause." Theos says laughing.
Dantelion shook his head. It was a bad joke. He looked at Blight.
"Thank You." Dantelion says.
"Yep, thanks." Theos remains grinning.
It was odd Theos felt ready for something but he couldn't guess what. He looked to his tamer. The guy had stood by and watched idly. They are partners right? Shouldn't they fight together? Then again he wouldn't want him to get hurt.
Something was just off they had a connection but wouldn't act on it.
"Guess I got to rely on you to bemy brains for now huh." Theos said taking a flipper and scratching the side of his face.
Dantelion was surprised at this admission. He looked to Theos and nodded.
"Though I am sure I will learn just as much from you." Dantelion answered making Theos smile.
That is what he needed. His tamer admitting they needed one another in this world. It really opened doors he thought.
He cocked his head as his tamer looked at him strangely. Odd....they were at eye level. He looked down and hopped with joy. He had legs.
Dantelion watched him bounce around happily. What was he? A goat or a wolf? A wolf it goats clothing? That would be a twist on the fairy tail. | Words:0355 Tags:@dantelion Blight Lyrics:"Call Me" by Shinedown Template by Kuroya of THQ & GS. "Good job, kid. You've hit Rookie. It's like your partner said, though. Distractions are your best bet. Between you and me, I'd recommend that you fight dirty too. No use wasting a good move on an opponent that's already focused on you. Take them out from behind. There's no dishonour in survival, only in an avoidable defeat." A few more words of wisdom. Hopefully Theos wouldn't take offence, given that Blight had basically told him to fight like a bad guy. It wasn't such an awful strategy though, was it? Digimon these days couldn't afford to be naive. Heroics often cost too much. And by cost too much, Blight had seen many lives needlessly snuffed out. It was a damn shame to see so many good Mon die. By the same token, it had become routine. The Digital World, while fantastical, was a final resting place for many people and their partners. To underestimate the realm at large was to submit to its will, which often resulted in death.
Blight couldn't help but smile. He had some warmth left in him, after all. "Most of all, keep each other close. I made a mistake long ago that cost me my partner. You only get one" he said quietly. This was an admission he wouldn't often make, especially to a couple of strangers. And yet he was comfortable with the truth. It was true. He was a murderer. He killed his partner because neither of them could control Dark Digivolution. If Theos or Dantelion prodded him further, he would divulge. If not, he would leave them with some parting wisdom to look out for each other - no matter the cost.

Call me a sinner Dantelion looked at Blight as he told them to fight dirty. It was true he had to admit. When it came down to fights who had to fight what ever way you knew how. He'd been in enough brawls to know. Always go for the temples and balls.
"It doesn't seem right." Theos said his tail drooping slightly.
"Maybe not but in life and death it is as he says. You can not expect them to afford you the same mercy you would show them." Dantelion said making Theos huff but not argue.
"We will remain close." Theos responded smiling slightly.
"Yes, I don't think i'd survive ten seconds out here without something to nip at ankles." Dantelion said standing up.
"I might nip at yours." Theos remarked making Dantelion raise a brow.
Neither pressed about his past. As both figured it was quite painful. Death was never an easy topic.
"What are you going to do now?" Theos asked. "You are more than welcome to tag along with us."
Dantelion cast Theos a questioning glance. He was too friendly for his own good. Dantelion just shook his head and smirked. All good things in time he supposed.
"The world is dangerous and groups are better than being alone. However the choice is yours." Dantelion said.
In some strange way he had come to like this digimon to a degree. He was rough around the edges but life did that to some. Sometimes all it took was a friendly hand to smooth them out. Though in all honesty Dantelion didn't doubt he liked being rough around the edges.

What was he going to do now? Blight had to think about that one for a bit. He was glad that Dantelion and Theos took his advice in stride. He knew he wasn't the easiest dude to get along with. Most people liked to turn him away, or remind him of his tactlessness. That being said, he was tactless, and his lack of social awareness usually got him into trouble. His two new friends (was he allowed to say that now?) seemed to understand him a bit better than most. They were patient and kind with him, even if he didn't exactly deserve it. He had sought to help them along, perhaps out of misplaced sympathy or a longing for companionship, yet certainly with a degree of sincerity. Blight wasn't one to bullshit people. He gave them the truth because he knew it was necessary. He was grateful that some people could appreciate that trait, even if it was painful or grating at times.
"I'll be straight with you guys. I like you. I really do. But I gotta get going on my own. I've got a...well, a problem. One I'll have to solve on my own. Does that make sense? Anyway, be careful out there." He meant what he said. Somewhere under that mask was a big smile and a tear under one of his eyes. He really appreciated this interaction, but he decided to use his common sense and stop either of them from getting in trouble. Blight decided not to divulge about the Mark, or what it was doing to him. He desperately longed for a friend to cherish him and even love him (like his partner did), but he couldn't afford to drag Theos or Dantelion into his current predicament. It was too dangerous...too confusing. It sucked like crazy having to admit that to himself. He really didn't want to. For a guy who liked to spit the truth, he sure didn't like to face it.
"Just promise me one thing: if I end up on the wrong side, and I mean that for any reason. Just stop me, okay? Don't hold back. I don't like a foe who can't throw a good punch when he needs to. Or a bite. Whatever you roll with in the future, Rock-Doggy." Some kind parting words. Maybe a bit morbid, too. He was serious about the last part, however. He expected to be fought appropriately, especially if he succumbed to the influences of the Mark. Someone was gonna have to take out the trash, right? Pretty soon he was going to relish his inner badass villain. A good ol' rivalry would help keep him sane.

Call me a sinner Theos was at a loss. He understood he had other matters to attend to. Yet, that last part. He cocked his head looking to him sadly.
"We will." Dantelion responded after sizing Blight up. He didn't understand the complete reasoning but Blight knew something he didn't. Something that would one day happen wither they wanted it or not.
Theos looked up at his tamer who just stood there with a stern look. He looked back to Blight then ran over to him. He gave him a soft nuzzle.
"Only cause you asked....I don't understand it but....we will if we have to." Theos pulled away after those words. "Be safe okay." He said with a smile.
Dantelion reached down and patted Theos. He was proud that he didn't beg or plead but followed his lead. His eyes remained on Blight and he gave him a knowing nod.
He'd been around. He knew people who had been on the wrong road or their life. Most were unable to get off that road. A few he knew ended up in prison. The rest he didn't know about.
However this turned out though he would not regret knowing him as he is now. In truth it would make it easier should that day ever come. Mercy could be the greatest of all sins. | Words:0283 Tags:@dantelion Blight Lyrics:"Call Me" by Shinedown Template by Kuroya of THQ & GS. "Safety and me don't mix, kid. I like my chaos hot n' ready" he replied coyly, giving the two a wink. He shied away from any further affection, deciding instead to take his leave. It was about time he headed out on his own again. As he said, he had important matters to attend to, ie. not dying, getting cured... you know, if either of those were plausible given the circumstances.
Shuffling off into the woods, he'd disappear rather quickly into the foliage. A few seconds later, a terse 'Damn!' escaped his lips after stumbling briefly into the swamp. And then silence. Dantelion and Theos were on their own again, a little wiser, a little, well, more prepared for the battles to come. Blight now sought knowledge, or at least hope, so that he could one day return to his friends. He wasn't sure if this would ever work out, but he was infinitely proud of the fact that he managed to get someone to like him. At least, he thought they did. Nice guy. Nice rock-dog Digimon.
"Heh, maybe I do have a second chance." A searing pain stabbed his arm, causing him to falter. He could feel the curse growing stronger again. "Or not."
