Call me a sinner Dantelion looked between the two. Well that was short lived. He wondered what he should do now. The day was nice so it shouldn't be wasted.
Damion had mentioned a party. Again it normally wasn't his scene but if others were to be there maybe he could pull information from loose drunken tongues. After all he was one of those people who enjoyed working.
"I'm starting to harden in the sun," Theos said wiggling a new found appendage. Kind or looked like a flipper. He was still a blob though.
"I think I'll go find Blight. The trees shade should prevent me from becoming too hard." Theos continued his flippers propelling him along faster than he had been moving before.
Dantelion nodded as he headed off. He in turn went to one of the beach bars. He asked around about work. Apparently one of the bar keeps had fallen sick. So once the party started he could work as that.
Til then he guessed he had nothing to do. He went and sat by Damion. the sunny day and rolling waves were nice. He could do without the sand already though.
"Do you come to this place often?" he asked Damion and Impmon. Though that could mean the beach or the digital world. He meant the digital world though.
This was only his second time here. All he had done the first time was meet his partner. Then he explored his digivice and managed to send himself back. He had respawned in the exact same place he had left.
Theos watched Blight set things up. As he knocked the coconuts down Theos ate them. They had been cracked nearly in two and a single half was the same size s his body. yet somehow he managed to eat the halves whole. His newly formed teeth crunching and breaking them into data particles.
"You're really good." He says having eaten about half of them. He bulged slightly and looked contented.
Neither Dantelion or Theos had formed a close bond yet. They had yet to find that thing that would keep them at one another's side thick and thin. Yet they would know if the other got into trouble. Bound but not bonded....yet. | Digimon:○ ABILITY - Blend - it can blend into the ground as a rock. ○ ATTACK - Rock Crush - Bites foes with its powerful maw meant to break rocks. 1 post cool down. |

| As everyone seemed to go off and do their own thing. It was clear this group was rather diverse, yet at the same time it was sort of nice. So while the other two disappeared he'd la back with Impmon and soak up the sun's rays happily as he close his eyes sipping juices every so often. The sounds of rolling oceans nice, the smell of the ocean beautiful and the occasional jogging girl bouncing about seemed to catch his attention for a brief moment before his eyes closed.
Yet it wasn't until the male appeared beside him and asked him a question.Reaching over he'd set up another coconut as he thought about the question and offered it to the male,
"Well, honestly that depends on who you ask. I have been coming to the digital world maybe a few months, I've explored this beach area maybe a handful of times since I've been here, although to be fair I've enjoyed the latter a bit more then some areas like the north."
He'd say looking to the kid,
"You don't have to say it but it's clear your a bit wet behind the ear. Besides the fact your partner is in a weak state. Well that can be misleading because not too long ago Impmon was in one of those states. But even then me an Impmon have a stronger bond now then we first did, so what you've been here I'm gonna guess less then five times and your partner has never been to the human world? Seems a bit one sided for a partnership."
He' tease setting up two more coconuts, one for impmon and possibly a second for himself, if not third had the male reject the offer as he enjoyed the juices and just laid there. His attention now on the sun set as he slurped away before pausing to talk once more.
"If you want my advice, I say try to bond a bit more while you can. This is world is dangerous and you never know what will happen. I know I must come off as an asshole at times, but that's just me enjoying life while we can. You never really know how long you'll last. One minute your hear the next your gone."
He'd say some before getting up and heading towards the forest,
"I just remembered something important we have to do today; real bummer I was looking forward to this beach party. But maybe I'll see you around kiddo."
He'd say before leaving the area and disappearing into the forest.

OOC: Sorry for the wait, I've had a crazy work schedule ;3;
Blight sighed. It was nice to see a young Digimon in his midst. He wouldn't admit it, but he had a soft spot for newbies, especially one of a kind Digimon like him. This lay in stark contrast for his hatred of human children, which was out of jealousy for something he no longer had. "I've been around the block a few times, Theos. That's why I'm a cynic, and a jerk." The Rookie proceeded to fire off a couple more shots, this time aiming at another tree to free more coconuts. If Theos wasn't full already, he was about to be. More fruit came tumbling down like a rockslide. Blight blew gently on the barrel of the gun sticking out from beneath his sleeve. His breath was a pale shade of green and exited his mask through the vents on the side.
"So..." Blight began anew, approaching Theos now, "What can I teach a new guy like you? Since that optimism and innocence comes so naturally to you." His tone was a bit off putting in an attempt to be sincere. He meant what he said, however. Blight was anything but innocent. A grizzled vet, there weren't too many things that he hadn't done...or at least tried. This went doubly for battle situations; he did not like to fight fair.

Call me a sinner Dantelion listened to him. It was somewhat one sided but he had no Idea how he could take such a strange thing home with him. Let alone if he should since he was always traveling. Though that was just like here he supposed. How would a normal person take him though?
He stood up as he turned to leave.
"Thank you." he called out to his back. He truly did hope to see him again.
Who would have thought that he could make a friend so easily. Normally people didn't give him the light of day unless he was in a pub. No one liked a mood killer so they would talk to him, joke with him, and occasionally get him drunk enough to sing. All in good fun.
A side of him that Theos had yet to see. The side that laughed at horrible and rather dirty jokes.Yeah he did have to take him to the human world. Despite his appearance he was sure his personality would be welcomed.
He got up wondering if he should go find him. Deciding it would be best he headed back to the woods following the sounds of cracking coconuts and voices.
"Cynical....maybe. But jerk you are far from. You just say what you think. Nothing wrong with that." Theos said smiling.
He thought about what he could be taught as well. In truth he didn't have much in the way of skills. He could crush rocks in his mouth and that was about it.
"Maybe....where to bite for the most effect. Though I am kinda short I guess that limits my range to legs huh..." Theos said sheepishly laughing.
It was tough being a little guy sure. He didn't mind though. After all it meant he was harder to hit. He was often underestimated and that was their downfall.
Dantelion stayed hidden behind a tree listening. He wondered if he should join them or not. Theos could benefit from learning from one of his own kind. Maybe he was wrong to group them all together like that. They had to have families like the animal kingdom, right? He contemplated this as he continued to listen.
"Though no one knows what they are truly capable of til the moment comes, right?" Theos said. "I might be weak now but for sure I will be a tough bugger in the future." He grins at Blight. | Words:0457 Tags:@dantelion Blight Lyrics:"Call Me" by Shinedown Template by Kuroya of THQ & GS. Though it may not have been visible, Blight smiled beneath his mask. He liked the idea of bringing new blood under his tutelage. Theos would likely go on (like most Digidestined partners did) to become a hero type, but at least he got some advice from a villain during the earlier part of his life. Learning ruthlessness was never easy, but certain situations necessitated it. In Blight's case, all situations did. He wasn't so ignorant that he didn't recognize his past, however, and Theos' impending future. Villainy had its place, and so did death. Theos, regardless of his impending alignment, needed to know this. Enemies had to die for the greater benefit of the Digital World. The sooner all the Digidestined realized this, the easier it would be to fix the realm they now called home. Antics from both sides had caused a particular cancer to spread across the dimension - the same kind of cancer Blight was inflicted with. 'While there's still time' he mused.
Bidding Theos forward, Blight concealed his weaponry and extended his arm. Here, the lesson would begin. "See? I appreciate your enthusiasm" he remarked, appreciating the compliment. Yeah, he was blunt as hell. Honesty had a tendency to upset those who looked for fluffy solutions, though. Or those who liked to avoid being offended. Blight wasn't exactly a Digimon of that caliber; he was tactless. Suddenly, he swung his arm at Theos, aiming to give the small Digimon a wicked slap in the face. This would be Theos' first foray into the fighting world: other Digimon, especially bad ones, didn't fight fair. Catching the young guy off-guard, and at a higher level, would be the least of his challenges. Blight decided, out of mercy (and maybe out of mild affection) not to use a proper attack, but to surprise the heck out of him to get his mind in the game. Zero warning, close quarters. "This is how you learn!" the Hazardmon declared.
If Dantelion paid close attention, he too would learn a thing or two. His partner's biting skills weren't the only thing about to be tested.

Call me a sinner Theos was not only caught off guard but hurt. He shrank way from Blight and looked at him with hurt eyes. He tried to judge why. His words only made so much sense to him. However if this was the way to learn he wouldn't run from it.
He bared his little teeth. Then went as flat as a thin pancake. His body widening and looking like a puddle. Should he attack again it would be like slapping mud and splash onto him. That would be when Theos would try to bite him his teeth sinking into his nearest leg.
Should Blight not attack Theos would slowly edge around him and jump at him. His entire body springing forward mouth first and wide open to bite at his shoulder. Or his arm should he try to block.
Dantelion heard the slap and looked around the tree at them. He was suddenly worried. He heard Blights words and understood. Learning from experience was the way he learned most of his things.
However he couldn't help but to be hesitant about letting Theos learn that way. He was still so young. Dantelion remained where he was but he was going to watch closely. If Blight went to far he would kick him in his butt himself.
Theos would be the closes thing to a child he would ever have. He would protect him until he could protect himself. Dantelion stood there claming his breathing and waiting with baited breathe as they would battle. | Words:0304 Tags:@dantelion Blight Lyrics:"Call Me" by Shinedown Template by Kuroya of THQ & GS. "Nano Sabre!"
There was a distinct noise as a pair of blades shot from beneath Blight's sleeves. He crossed his arms quickly in an 'x' shape, shielding himself from any harm. It was probably excessive to be using his companion swords in a training match, but he felt no remorse. Theos couldn't afford to accept an opponent's mercy: this is not what he would face on the battlefield. Moreover, Blight knew a thing or two about partner Digimon. Pushed enough, they would often be able to digivolve. Getting this kid to Rookie would help him out immensely, especially in times like these.
After all, things had gotten worse. The Digital World was in a state of utter chaos and lead by beings whose power no one quite understood. Blight, a pawn in this awkward chess match, didn't bear an obvious colour. He wasn't sure whether he was black or white; good or evil. He knew, though, that someone was capable enough to tug at his strings. He suspected, based on the Mark that he'd been given, that someone already was. Despite his assholery, he never imagined himself a real villain. That is to say, he didn't exactly see himself as evil. Still, the churning of anger and uneasiness inside of him would produce unadulterated darkness eventually. The pure kind. The nasty kind. His chess piece would, in all likelihood, become black. For now, he lay somewhere between the trenches, and this little session with Theos would be his distraction.
'Anything to make me forget, man. I'll take it.'
Glancing over his shoulder, Blight searched for Dantelion. Theos' partner seemed curious, albeit a bit worried, about his partner's chances in this match. The Hazardmon's mind reminded him over and over that he would do no actual harm to this Digimon, or his human. He'd made it his goal to teach these guys about not being stupid. He could promise them both that. "Are you paying attention?" he asked Dantelion, half-distracted by the nibbly blob of mud in front of him.

Call me a sinner Theos felt his teeth hit metal. He quickly let go pushing himself away. He had no idea a pair of swords had been hidden in his coat. Theos suddenly felt wary of what else could be hidden.
Dantelion nearly jumped as he was addressed. He looked at Blights back wondering if he had known all along. His intentions were still unclear in all of this. What he stood to gain from teaching Theos.
"I am..." He said. His gaze going to Theos who met his eyes.
"Don't go easy on me cause I'm a In-Training." Theos said suddenly smiling.
Dantelion sighed at this. More like he needed to learn his limits as an In-Training. Then again even he didn't know what Theos was fully capable of. A battle was the best way to find out.
Theos flattened again taking a defensive posture. He didn't know what his enemy was capable of. So he would absorb the blows and attack back. Biting at any place he could.

Uh oh. Theos had used some pretty dangerous words. Don't go easy on me. Dang, it was too bad he was fighting someone who would take a comment like that literally. Blight nodded in response. He didn't stop to question whether he should do what he was about to do. He didn't ask Theos if he was sure. If this little blob wanted to take a beating, he was gonna get it, In Training or not.
Immediately, Blight quickened his step. He circled Theos like a vulture and began to plan his attack. Since Theos was legless, he was going to be a pretty easy target. Hopping only got one so far. The hardiness of his slime also meant that squishing him was a stupid, however. Blight's food would probably bounce and cause him to falter. That being the case, he decided it was time to flip the pancake. Without warning, he threw one of his sais at the ground, aiming to stab Theos on his underbelly. In his follow-up move, assuming Theos had attempted to either bounce or dodge, Blight threw his second weapon, aiming to catch Theos mid-move. If his calculations were correct, the first attack would set up his target and the second would seal the deal. How would the little guy figure this one out? Despite his daring move, the Hazardmon continued to remain completely silent. He'd gotten Dantelion's attention before. That last move would definitely keep it.

Call me a sinner Theos saw the sword. Aiming to get him from underneith. He didn't dodge backwards however instead he moved forwards. Towards Blight. He opened his mouth and snapped at the sword wielding arm.
He bit down but not as hard as he could have. After all this was just practice, right? He didn't want to harm Blight more than he should. He had no idea what his limits were.
That being said though Blight couldn't attack him with one hand Theos was left wide open for the other sword. He would realize it after a moment. Then let go but his position was compromising.
Dantelion watched his brave little partner. He saw the mistake immediately. It seemed he acted in the moment and didn't think things through. Which was in a way good. One should not underestimate the power of raw instinct. He needed guidance though. Instinct would only carry himself so far with out the skills to realize it fully. | Words:0213 Tags:@dantelion Blight Lyrics:"Call Me" by Shinedown Template by Kuroya of THQ & GS. Smart kid. Biting Blight's weapon was a good move, except for the part about it being a razor sharp edge. Before Blight could take a swing or push forward, Theos managed to drop himself out of harm's way. Blight hoped that once Theos had hands he wouldn't try that move again. Catching swords never ended well. What he'd have to teach his young apprentice was how to parry and deflect blows like the ones he'd just delivered. For the most part, Theos was doing a great job. He used his intellect to do most of the work, instead of relying on his strength. It was pretty basic stuff for an experienced Digimon, but seeing a newly born partner go toe-to-toe with him was impressive.
"Good, good. You got moves, kid."
Seeing how he was down to one sword (given that he'd tossed the other at the ground), he decided to test Theos' agility. Circling again so that he'd get a chance to reclaim his second weapon, a small barrel appeared out of his empty sleeve. "Hazard Bullet!" A flurry of metal shells throttled out of his sleeve, aiming to catch Theos off guard. The range of this move was impressive for a Rookie, meaning Theos would have to exercise extra caution to avoid being harmed. Moreover, Blight's bullets were corrosive, so if Theos didn't kick things up a notch, he'd end up with more than just a couple of bee stings.
"Always anticipate ranged and elemental moves. Catch them before they happen and let your partner know" Blight advised, turning briefly again to Dantelion. As far as he was concerned, the job of the tamer was to give his or her partner a tactical advantage. Meatbags were naive - especially young ones - yet their keen senses were unmatched. There was something to be said about a human's observation skills and their intuition. Oftentimes, they could predict an outcome before an attack was even carried out. At least, Blight's partner had that kind of eye. Damn, he missed that guy sometimes.

Call me a sinner Theos did his best to avoid the bullets. Many soared over his head but He realized too late Blight had anticipated him flattening again. He tried to move away feeling the corrosive bullets biting into his flesh.
He whimpered. This was not practice any more was it. This was an actual fight. In a way he had asked for it. He had not been ready for the brutality of it however.
"You are taking it too far Blight." Dantelion barked. "it is one thing to provide guidance. It is another to harm someone."
"I told him not to go easy on me." Theos said countering his partner.
Dantelion turned looking to Theos with hardened eyes.
"I can do this. I'm not just a kid. I'm a digimon." Theos spoke bluntly.
"Tsk," Dantelion showed his disapproval. He said nothing more however and just frowned staring at Theos. Brave and foolish he decided. Maybe letting him lose the battle would teach him his limits.
Again though he had no idea what those limits were....he was right about one thing. He was more than a kid. He was a digimon and Dantelion was at a lost of what that even truly was. It left him with this feeling like he was missing something. Something important.
Theos's body rippled and he blended into the ground. He closed his eyes and pretty much vanished like he was never even there. His brown skin blending into the brown foliage and dirt of the forest floor. His movements were faint slower than a snails so eyes could not perceive it less their eyes were better than a hawk.
He approached...slowly and steadily without warning. Like a shark beneath the waves. | Words:0338 Tags:@dantelion Blight Lyrics:"Call Me" by Shinedown Template by Kuroya of THQ & GS. Dantelion was visibly upset. Who could blame him? He'd just watched his new best friend get picked apart by someone a lot more powerful than he was. Unfortunately, this was a lesson that had to be learned. It wasn't pretty. It wasn't pleasant. Losing sucked. Being weak sucked. But unless Dantelion and Theos could reconcile those realities, they would never survive the Digital World. Despite the beautiful scenery and fantastical nature of the land, many had died here. Young Digimon and their partners were the most susceptible to tragedy. They were too naive and too powerless to confront the darkness that lurked in the code of this realm.
"You did good, kid. I'll lay off. I'm not here to kill you" Blight said at last, deciding to abide by Dantelion's concern. He concealed his weapons and shrugged. 'Alright kid, now I'm really testing your mettle. Prove your buddy wrong.' Having let his guard down, the Hazardmon wondered about Theos' next course of action. Theoretically, the battle was still on. Blight's body language suggested that it was over, that he was merciful enough to to roll over. He hoped Theos would see the advantage in allowing his enemies a bit of comfort. A comfortable battle was always the most dangerous. Comfort lead to laziness and overconfidence, neither of which a true warrior could afford at any time.
'Here's the real test. Bring it.'
Blight scanned the ground, catching a ripple or two. He could almost identify Theos' location. This was just an In-Training Digimon, after all. His camouflaging wouldn't fool Digimon of higher levels if they looked for it. He was really curious about his opponent's next move. Would he opt to continue fighting and surprise Blight? Or would he accept Blight's mercy and end the session altogether?

Call me a sinner Theos knew he was giving him a purposeful opening. So he had to do something unexpected. He revealed himself not but inches away. He made no move to attack but stared at Blight in the eyes.
He remained like this a long while trying to unnerve him by making him stare into his dark deep set eyes. While at the same time trying to read him. Though success probably wasn't there.
Then he finally attacked. He went for one of the arms. Blight seemed to rely on them more than his legs. He aimed to bite down and hard. Blight had hurt him now he would do the same.
Theos would not back down without proving himself in some way.
Dantelion shook his head. Theos should have just ended it. Yet for some reason he wouldn't be listened to. He knew it.
Young, brave, rash, foolish...all those words meshed in Dantelions brain. He could say them a hundred times. It wouldn't change who Theos was though. He'd simply have to work with him. He had to accept all those traits Theos had and just find a way around them.
Theos was everything he was not. Brave had never really applied to him. Theos' patience was totally adorable. Blight watched the little fella gear up for his biting attack, which his target accepted with complete indifference. The Hazardmon could feel his foe's teeth gnash at the arm beneath his sleeve, wrenching hard. Theos had spirit; there was no doubt about that. Blight examined his arm, lifting it slightly higher. Here, Theos would continue to dangle, clinging to his target like a bear trap. It wasn't a half-bad hit. Still, trying to intimidate someone into letting them attack you wasn't the smartest move. "Good PSI on the bite. It hurts a bit. I wouldn't rely on staring people down though, kid. Most enemies are gonna be a whole lot bigger than you. Trying distracting them in other ways. Y'know, at least until you hit Champion" Blight advised, relaying some thoughts to his student. Again, he wasn't a bad fighter. All of this training would gear him up for the real thing and give him a chance. This was more than Blight could admit for most Digimon, who charged foolishly and, perhaps arrogantly, to save the day.
A gentle dust exited Theos' area of impact as Blight activated his Dark Haze technique. Dark Haze allowed Blight to relieve some damage and dislodge smaller enemies, freeing him from harm. Though he was in no immediate danger, he decided that their sparring session was over - at least for the time being. Theos had been a good student. He was attentive, albeit somewhat brash and naive. It was good to see an opponent with gumption and courage, two traits that were essential for survival in the harsh digital climate. But courage and stupidity often intersected. Blight knew this because he was a holder of the Crest of Courage, and he was stupid as fuck. Well, just a wee bit.
'I should just be helping myself. I guess I'm not the worst.' Eh, a sobering reminder of his current predicament. Blight was a lonely, bitter shit. Even so, he could be pretty cool sometimes. Maybe. At the right time. Like now?
