PERSONALITY Alyin has a kind and cheerful personality, easily able to make friends. His cute face and sometimes clumsy antics make many to consider him as a little brother in no time at all. He cherishes any friend he can make a lot since he's never really had friends when he was growing up. Alyin gets quite upset if people disrespect him, but it gets even worse if someone disrespects or hurts his friends, even holding grudges against those that do so. In order to help his newfound friends, he's become dedicated to becoming a stronger person. Alyin does everything he can to defend and protect his friends from enemy attack, even to the point of him almost dying due to overexertion. If one were to rank him in battle, Alyin would be classed as "all-around". He stances himself in the middle or near the front of the group and uses his abilities to benefit his allies before unleashing attacks on his enemy. Alyin is a little naive about the material world around him, not knowing what many things that may seem to be common knowledge are because most of his life was spent on a distant island nation. However, he is rather wise for his age, able to offer advice to others and providing remarkable insight at various points of time. Alyin never seems condescending when criticizing others, and offers his opinions and thoughts in a matter-of-fact manner. He also has a calm temperament, even able to stay level-headed in dangerous or dire situations to think up of plans and solutions. He's also very eager to learn new uses for his spirits and learn about other spirits as well, demonstrating great enthusiasm when he is around people that are stronger - older - and more experienced - than himself. Alyin does have faults however, as many do. He has a tendency to eat food that isn't his, or any food in sight if he is hungry enough. Alyin can also eat an astonishing amount of food before he actually feels full, however he will be almost incapacitated by that point. He absolutely adores anything soft, and is prone to stopping completely to snuggle said soft thing. No matter what it is. Alyin is aware of himself when he makes a mistake and if it is called out on, he will sort of get quiet and just be very harsh on himself. When he initially meets someone of higher power then he is, he enters a..fanboy state. He will marvel at the very arc of their hair if it looks amazing to him. It can annoy others easily, or they will deem it cute. Lastly, Alyin is quite the lonely person on the inside. After his father's assassination, his mother had him placed in a high tower where he infrequently left. Because of his sometimes overwhelming introspection - he will count himself out of group activities altogether.
APPEARANCE Alyin has a short, small figure, with medium long blue hair and bangs that stop at his eyes. He also has blue eyes, and a long, thin braid that extends down to his back. He usually wears a turban on his head. A ruby sits on his forehead, connected to the turban. Usually, he wears a small blue open vest with bandages wound around his chest. He wears long puffy white Arabian pants with simple sandals. He also always carries around a staff that was given to him by his caretaker. He also always carries around a flute for his own personal musical amusement.  INVENTORY ○ ITEM - Long birch wood staff - This staff was a sort of gift from his caretaker while he was in the Tower. It can be used as a blunt force weapon, but Alyin would usually never think to use it for such a purpose. ○ ITEM - Turban with a ruby fastened to the front - This turban has been on Alyin's head for ages now. It's been wrapped and tangled with his long hair so long that it has a surprising hold and will barely move in the harshest winds. Alyin tends to store things inside it as well. ○ ITEM - Golden Flute - A flute that Alyin plays when he's upset or emotional. He is actually quite talented on it. BIOGRAPHY Ten years ago, a blue-haired baby boy was born in the ever-evolving nation of Egypt. The political and religious state of Egypt is in near constant flux and because of that, the physical landscape is...less than paradise. There will always be individuals or groups that seek power and are willing to do whatever they can to obtain it. The rulers of Egypt were the target of many assasination attempts to usurp the throne simply for the influence of the country. Countless plots were subverted until one day that the King was shot enroute to a United Nations Summit. After mourning her husband's death, the Queen began spiraling into a deep depression that spurred a dark paranoia as well. The couple had sired a little boy before the King's untimely demise. In her dark state, the Queen had the child sent away to a remote part of the country and stored away in the highest tower she could find. This toddler would spend ten years inside that tower - rarely seeing her mother and only knowing love from his caretakers. While outside visitors were something that the child knew nothing of, he found escape from his provincial life in the lore of video games and the internet. Things like virtual reality became the playground that he was able to enjoy, unlike most kids his age. One day though, Alyin became very aware of the walls that he was imprisoned in. It was the day that the woman who had been taking care of him for his entire life was sent away for trying to give the little prince a view of the outside world that his selective mother would find...troubling. She tried getting Alyin to read a newspaper about the current affairs in the country only to be forcibly ejected from the Tower by armed guards. Tylin had never been so scared in his life. This cushy home he'd known forever was now a foreboding prison. And he wanted out. It was around this time that Alyin noticed a strange bit of coding flitting around in his computer system. Every time he tried isolating the code to examine it, it would just pass through his firewalls like they were nothing. The Prince and the ghost code played cat-and-mouse for weeks until he opened his browser to find a single message written in plain font on his screen.
