@ Daichi Kumo | ❝ In the aftermath of the Ginkakumon attack, it seemed that DATS had called all their agents back to headquarters to access the situation. Harley herself wasn't given much information on the matter, other than the fact that she would now be an official member of the organization due to emergency situations arising. It seemed kind of lackluster - she was actually quite excited to go through some sort of complicated test of her skills or wit. Another opportunity wasted. She wanted to get stronger, everybody around her seemed to be reaching the next level - yet she was stuck. Her Digimon had to use the help of an armor digimental just to get to the next level - and even that was power simply given to her.
Everything was just given away to her. There was no challenge. This world was beginning to seem like some sort of joke.
She regretted not participating in the defense of the city - surely that terrorist would have been a worthy opponent. Nevertheless, he was gone, all having failed to detain him. She didn't care about the damage everybody caused, this world held no emotional value to her. She was only slightly bothered by the dozens of causalities - which was strange. If that were a month ago in the real world...witnessing lives being taken so fruitfully would have been disturbing.
So she answered to the call of DATS, escaping through the subway that spanned throughout the entire city. It didn't seem to be active at the time, or at least the tamer and her partner didn't witness or hear any trains yet. The white haired girl stopped, pounding her fist into the concrete wall. The ceiling shook, rubble falling from above. "Why can't you just get fucking stronger already?" She peered at the Demidevimon with her multi-colored eyes, giving him perhaps one of the most sinister looks he had witnessed from her up until this point. She was filled with rage - emotion - where she was usually bland and stoic, "Those pathetic tamers back there reached levels we haven't even seen yet - and they used their power so recklessly! They wasted it!" The bat demon was taken aback, attempting to talk, but being caught off by his tamer's sudden wrath, he was unable to form words, "Maybe Riku was right! Maybe you are a coward!"
The nightmare soldier backed up from his partner, who had now walked towards him with her fists balled up. He expected the worst. It was always the worst. It wasn't his fault he was weak - there was only so much a newly born Digimon could do. "L-Look, I've been trying, alright." Pagu spoke in a timid voice, getting cut off by his tamer again, "Trying isn't good enough!" The bat's frown turned from shock to anger at this statement, finally finding the courage to raise his voice, "Maybe you're just a shitty tamer! You need to help me in battle, not stand aside doing jack-shit! I will get stronger!" Their voices echoed through the halls of the subway - if there were any enemies in this empty place, they would have heard them argue for miles.

WAKE UP, RIDE ON THE LION His escape had been a Kansas City Shuffle. They looked one way -- the sky -- and whilst they were busy, stunned, in awe, shoveling rubble away and looking for their loved and lost ones, he delved back below, devolving and donning his shades, taking the part of a cool-headed city-dweller escaping. And some people said he had no tact.
The subways were empty -- believably so. The Erudazu's antics had cleared every bastion beneath the city out swiftly with the first few tremors of his presence -- the train timetables were going haywire, the every board and subway car wracked with the great glaring orange-on-black letters, once in English, once in Japanese, and once in Digital Code: "NOT IN SERVICE". Daichi snorted as he begun to descend the stairs. His work here was done.
"...I will get stronger!" Or so he thought.
His heavy-set steps resonated, great claps throughout the empty halls. Daichi's jacket was a stark, harrowing orange; his hair grey, as it had been since the latter days of his youth, and his face scarred from all that he had endured in that battlefield in the name of his old friends and masters, and all that he had endured in that fucking cell at the hands of those falsehoods the general populace had declared leaders. He had become forgotten -- but he had forgotten nothing himself.
"That's what they all say," Daichi interjected quickly, grinning as he ducked his head and his behemoth form underneath the cusp of the stairs, pushing brusquely through a turnstile, the metal buckling as he moved. "I tend not to believe them. Mine barely did." He did not stop walking towards them, outstretching a hand as he divided their conversation, clasping it tightly on the little girl's shoulder. "That was why he passed. I took what precious little he had and made it so, so much stronger." Unity was the mother of all power. True unity was assimilation.
"What do you say, girl? Will you trust your insipid pet, trust him to grow?" Perhaps a random kidnapping could not hurt his goals either. After being captive for so long, maybe it was time to pay back the Digital World in kind. "You could find true power elsewhere." But he would not make his intentions clear just yet. Perhaps she would come with him of her own free will. Perhaps he could take this impressionable young shrew under his wing and make of her what he wanted, if she was strong.
For if she was weak, she would surely perish.

@ Daichi Kumo | ❝ "That's what they all say."
A large hand gripped Harley's shoulder from the darkness, taking her be surprise; being so previously occupied with arguing with her partner. This hand was powerful - the man connected to it was much taller than she was. He towered over her, his overwhelming strength could be felt with a simple touch and heard within his very voice. This wasn't the strength of a man, even, but of something else.
He told her not to believe in Demidevimon, and something about assimilating his own partner into something stronger. What did he mean? Could that be something that could really be done? Due to the tension of the moment, she thought about it for a split second. No, there was no way she could do that - it wasn't the right thing to do, besides, he couldn't possibly offer that power. Could he? She reached a rather sickly in comparison hand to the intruder's own, finally finding room to speak after he was finished, "I don't need to trust him - I trust myself to make him stronger." She gazed upon him with a cold stare - if this man was as strong as his aura, this would be without a doubt the test she needed.
"What the hell are you talking about, buddy?" The bat demon responded with emotion, without thought. He had no tact - and his Tamer was finally beginning to become tired with him. It had to be this personality that was causing him to be so weak - it had to be erased. "Oh, so you're some crazy son-of-a-bitch who killed his partner and ate him or somethin'?" Harley grit her teeth and balled her fists, taking her hand back from the giant man's, whom still had grasp of her shoulder. "You must be delusional! You can---" The Demidevimon would feel a strong impact in his back - causing the wind to be knocked from his lungs.
"SHUT UP!"
The two words resonated throughout the subway - Harley had broken away from the intruder and punched her partner in the back of the head. He looked at her in shock, taken aback that she would even do such a thing, "H-Harley..." Was the only word he could form at the moment, "Don't speak out of line for now on." The tamer commanded, her voice still stressed with anger, "You!" She looked at the larger tall man, interested in his offer, "Show me this power you gained."

WON'T STOP YOU CAN'T DENY IT "I don't need to trust him - I trust myself to make him stronger." The titan grinned. Youthful naivete. He had been like that, once. He fondly remembered it. Perhaps a few more lessons from his sister would have helped.
"Your trust still relies on him as a whole." Daichi cast a condescending stare towards the DemiDevimon behind his sunglasses. "He is still data. A virus, an anomaly. Unpredictable. These creatures are weapons; nothing more, nothing less." The Erudazu stood and watched as they underwent their exchange.
"Oh, so you're some crazy son-of-a-bitch who killed his partner and ate him or somethin'? You must be delusional! You can---"
"SHUT UP!" The behemoth smirked. He strolled forwards and lowered his voice to a whisper and grasped the little irritating ball of darkness in the palm of his brutish hand, squeezing just enough so it couldn't escape.
"Don't presume to know about me, you little fucker," It was almost a whisper, but carried the gravity of a roar. "I thought my partner was the exception to the rule. I thought he was reliable. But he let me down. I do not suffer fools gladly, nor mistakes." He released the DemiDevimon, knowing full well he could crush it and absorb its data in a matter of moments. "Instead of allowing him to be reborn, useless and unreliable again..." Daichi grinned. "I took matters into my own hands." He looked to the girl once more.
"You can only trust yourself and your own power. Once you accept that, all else will begin to fall into place. These things are weapons, tools; nothing more, nothing less." The girl snapped a command at her 'partner' to stay out of it; Daichi begun to fold his sunglasses up as she turned back to him. There was obvious intrigue in her voice.
"You! Show me this power you gained." She had tenacity. A little fight. He liked that.
"I'm going to teach you a lesson or two, girl," He set his jacket down to the side, leaving only the white tank top strained over his tattooed musculature. "If you do not learn, you will die." Daichi looked towards the DemiDevimon once more. "Intervene, and I will kill you." The colossus assumed his stance; he felt his bones shift into place as he set his feet a shoulder-width apart, and his muscles start to tingle with excitement. Maybe a plaything, maybe a project. Who said he couldn't have a little fun. Daichi begun to exhale. "Lesson one," He breathed a moment before bolting into a sprint.
He let loose a bellowing roar, lunging towards her with a single strike towards her midriff with no warning. More speed, more power than any one human should have, carried all in a punch. The Erudazu was measuring its power; but it would still leave her reeling if it landed.
He sidestepped immediately afterwards, admiring the nicks and scars of a thousand battles spread across his gargantuan fists.
"...battle is no place for honour."

@ Daichi Kumo | ❝ "I didn't take ya for a teacher." The girl spat back at the benemoth of a man, insulting him even in this moment. It was clearly she had little respect for anybody. Before she could form another sentence, or even prepare a stance, she felt the force of a small truck slam against her mid-section, causing her to jerk back, the breath being knocked from her lungs. Her Digimon went to help, but she yelled at him in a vicious matter as soon as he moved, "Stay the fuck back! You'll just make it fucking worse." Her obscenities were shouted between gasps of air.
He was to stay out of this - he knew that now, no matter how much he didn't want to watch what was about to unfold.
"I thought you were supposed to fucking be teaching me something!" Harley yelled back, stepping back, and then lunging forward, using her small size to hopefully wrap around the man's waist. In her right hand was concealed a small pocket knife, something she planned on driving into his side, and hopefully, into his kidney, if he had one.
She realized the position this would put her in, but didn't care. Inflicting damage was her cause at this point, as much as she could. She wouldn't be able to do anything to him all at once, and would have to cut him open piece by piece, part by part. This would be a long battle.
