Plot Description: As you explore the wilds in the East part of the Digiworld, you'll come across a lone Guilmon. After a while you'll see three BlackGuilmon bullies come up to pick on him. Once they leave, talk to Gerry, and he'll tell you about his problems with the three bullies. Convince him to stand up for himself, offering your help to give him the push he needs. The three bullies will eventually attack them, but Gerry will fight back. Help him defend himself from the unfair gang-up, and he'll reward you with some bits or an old egg he had lying around.

Mission Description: Gerry the Guilmon is being bullied by three BlackGuilmon. Help him stand up for himself!

Objective Summary:

• Meet Gerry in the wilderness
• Advise and Inspire him to deal with the bullies
• Hang around and ensure he stands up for himself
• Help Gerry fight back when the bullies attack him

The visit to Terabyte city had been one hell of a mess... No matter how much Ari assured her it didn't always look like this, first impressions are always important and this had been a pretty bad one. She had no doubt that whenever the time came to go there again it would look better, but for now, Yana decided to settle for exploring the wilderness, and Ari followed. She looked at her partner with a delighted, sheepish smile. She didn't like fighting... But even more than fighting, she didn't like seeing her friends get hurt. Between those two, she already knew fully well which was the lesser of two evils and today, she had taken the first step in learning how to do it. At least now she could be certain that if the worst came to pass, she and Ari could work together as a team



"What's up, Yana...? Why are you looking at me like that?", asked the curious Ari, noticing the wide smile and cheerful stride of her partner, oddly inappropriate for the destruction they'd witnessed the day before. The girl may be the type to repress her anger, but this was more than that. She was happy about something...



"But, we just learned how to fight together, Ari~! Now we know that when the time comes, we'll be ready!", she grinned sheepishly, clearly feeling more confident with her abilities.



Ari looked visibly happier from this statement. She was just as positive and sunny as Yana, and knowing she had least managed to find a good side of a necessary evil that she disliked almost made it worthwhile. The sun was shining and the weather was sweet on the digital world, and the two girls ventured deeper into the wilderness, eyes peeled for their surroundings. The treetops shaded the path before them, and plenty of wild digimon went about their business. Eventually, the girls froze in their tracks as they saw something troubling. A Guilmon surrounded by three, mean looking Blackguilmon. At first they looked like they were going to attack him, but then it became clear that they were simply harassing the poor loner:



"Poor thing...", uttered Yana, with a sad frown, sympathizing for the Guilmon's plight, "We should go help him..."



"Wait.", a more serious Ari raised a paw in front of Yana, telling her to stop, "See what he does first..."



At first, Yana didn't understand why Ari stopped her. But after lurking in the shadows and looking some more, she realized it... This Guilmon wouldn't benefit from being helped, not when he didn't even try to fight back. Meanwhile, Yana and Ari wouldn't always be around to protect him....

[Haruhi Ryuukami]

Wondering on the outskirts of Terabytes city had become Haru's past time in the last 24 hours. V was curious about the recent attack, and Haru would have been lying if she said she wasn't as well. She'd have left well enough alone if this had just been dome random act of violence on an oddly large scale but that doom prophetizing lender itself to a much more coordinated sort of violence. It didn't take a detective to figure out someone had to know know something. Maybe that Daiko or Daisuke or whatever was gone, but those Guilemon had fled into the sewers. The sewers go places. Now it'd be dumb to think they lived there, an invasion force that big? Someone would have noticed. No no, they must have come in from somewhere, likely from where the sewers dump out to, or maybe somewhere along the pipe route? Whatever harm there was in looking hadn't quite occurred to the orphan, and if it had struck her partner he hadn't said anything about it.

The duo's investigations had thusly brought them far from the city proper and into the thin forests along the very outskirts of Terabyte City, Haru's only real guide being the sound of the sewer flow. The digital was, well, digital. Lots of it were hollow where they shouldn't be, likely to save on processing power maybe? Haruhi was no computer whiz, she wouldn't pretend to know anything more than what she did, but educated guesses had gotten her pretty far in life. Trusting her instincts was something she'd come to rely on, usually because more often than not she was right.

And it appeared now would be no different. After a while, the true blue duo heard the whimpering cries of a Digimon and the exaggerated, maniacal laughter of others... It could be possible they were coming from the same Digimon, but Haru knew better than to bet against herself. The two quickly made their way toward those noises and came upon an incriminating sight that only reaffirmed Haru's trust in herself. Not one, not two, but three Black Guilemon (guilemen?) were in the midst of ganging up on a red one (was calling them black racist? How did data come in different colors?), the reasons why were unknown and entirely irrelevant in regards to what Haru and V were here for. However, before they could act, the trio soon began to take their leave at a powerful run. Short of sprouting wings, even V wouldn't be able to keep up. They could however follow their trail. The two would be cyber sleuths began to gave chase, passing by the crying Guilemon without a second glance...

Until V slowly came to a stop, turning his head back toward the pitiful creature.

"Hey, uhhh... Boss, how uhhh... Let's stop."

Haru turned her head back incredulously toward her partner. V had never really suggested stopping before, in fact, he was usually the one urging they keep going. Haru shared a long stare with her partner, trying to read him for a moment. However a loud sniffle from the big red lizard gave Haru a good hint as to why they'd stopped.

"My legs hurt ya know? I wanna take a seat..."

"...Yeah... Sure. We'll get after them when you're good. Maybe you should check on that-!"

A sudden beeping from the blonde's digivice caught her attention, causing her to pull it out. Normally it only beeped when there where digital digital signals nearby. Digivices, powerful Digimon, that sort of thing. The blue d-power pointed toward some nearby trees, but at first glance there was nothing there. Harm's two options were to assume there was no dangerous Digimon by them, or that there was an incredibly powerful Digimon there. The girl felt her brow sink into a glare as she layer her hand on her small deck of digicards.

"People who hide are rarely up to any good!" she'd shout at the trees, likely looking like a paranoid fool. "You've got till this card hits this digivice to come out before you and I aren't friends."

In truth, her card was already touching the digivice in question. No reason to leave that to chance. But she would wait a brief second before swiping it. Just in case.

Of course, no matter what Ari said, Yana couldn't simply stand there and watch this. Instead, she raised her digivice to the red digimon and scanned him, after which she scanned his interlopers. She was able to get some readings off the two, namely how they were all roughly the same level - judging by the amount of data at least - but she couldn't help notice how the red one who was being bullied was undoubtedly the strongest. Probably not strong enough to beat down all three, but at least enough to take down one and it a point that neither of the Black ones could take him down on their own. But alas he did none of those things. He just stood there and took it, head lowered, letting all the insults and mockery sink in... Ari pawed at her silently, obviously curious about the readings in the digivice and promptly confirming her suspicions at this. Both of them turned their gaze towards the quartet, waiting for the black digimon to leave. Both girls felt the need to help this red one, but more than simply chase away the bullies they would have to talk to him. Tell him the truth they'd arleady verified. But then, they heard footsteps. Before long two figures came by and chased away the black ones, and after narrowing her eyes and adjusting her glasses Yana realized she had seen that face before, "The girl from the city...!", she whispered to herself, her eyes wide with realization. "It's alright!! We aren't planning anything bad...!", the sweet and shy dark haired girl calmly stepped out of cover, with Ari following suit, raising her arms submissively and indicating she meant no harm. She didn't feel any point to state the obvious, or refresh the dark memories of the short time they'd seen each other in Terabyte city. If the blond remembered her, that would be alright. If she didn't, then that would be fine too. It was a messy time anyways, not a good place for meeting new faces. Blushing softly as she made eye contact with the blonde, she struggled to maintain it at least as long as the introductions went on, though she couldn't help darting her gaze away every now and then... "That's right. We were watching this Guilmon over here and wondering If he'd start fighting off the other ones.", Ari completed, her gaze, trailing down from the blonde to her Veemon Partner, then the still sobbing Guilmon, "You...! What's your name? I'm Ari~", she introduced herself to the Guilmon, but obviously directing her words to the other tamer and Digimon duo. "And I'm Yana.", she introduced herself to the blonde with the usual kind, angelic demeanor she was known for, wishing to dispel the tension in the air. But as she did this, Ari's focus would shift to the Guilmon completely. "Gerry...", he returned the introduction, barely raising his head to look at all the new people, still wallowing in his depression Ari at up at the Guilmon's feet, cocking her head slightly, "Why do you let those three have their way with you like that? You could at least stand up to them, you know?" "I'm... Too w-weak...", he confessed shamefully, in between the sobbing, "I lost... a-against each of them before... T-there's no point..."

Fortunately for all involved, there was no need for violence. The moment the tall, lean figure of an otherwise somewhat plain looking girl came into view Haruhi was able to ease up a bit. Sliding the card back into her deck, she silently sized up the other tamer. She looked vaguely familiar, though Haruhi couldn't quite place where'd she seen her. In all likelihood it was the terrorist attack, though she'd been rather busy during that.  A small, dog like Digimon followed her out shortly, explaining what they'd been doing there. The explanation made the blonde look to her partner, then the sobbing guilemon. They were... Watching? Why?  "You were watching? Waiting to... You are aware he could have been killed, right?" Though it may have sounded like an accusation, coming from Haru's lips the words came out as a genuine question. Hard wasn't one to exactly pass judgment on a stranger, especially when she herself could probably care more herself. But these two had just been sitting by, waiting for this Digimon to fight back. Watching him be tormented. They probably didn't mean to be cruel... But they had been. The little dogmon went on to introduce herself to the victimized guilemon, and by extension Haru and V. Her Tamer followed suit in way Haruhi could call "fair", or "nicely". It wasn't politely, as Haru hadn't asked for her name. She didn't need to give it. But she seemed sincere enough, and "Yana" seemed to not mean any harm, despite her prior inaction having caused the contrary. The blonde adjusted her cap as to not hide her face, giving an affirmative nod to the other tamer. "I'm Haruhi," she'd say plainly before jerking her thumb towards her 4 foot tall blue companion who'd rested himself against a tree opposite Guilemon "And that's V." she'd say, the Veemon giving an off handed two finger salute as he listened to "Gerry" and Ari's conversation. She'd asked a reasonable question that had a few obvious answers. "He's outnumbered. If he's a data type, he'd even grossly outmatched. Would you pick that fight if you had a choice? There's no shame in choosing not to fight..." V was of course speaking from some experience, no one really having the context to understand where he came from might confuse the question he'd posed to Ari as a defense or excuse to Gerry's passivity. "But that's a choice you need to make. You let other people make it for you and all you are is a doormat, ya know? A coward. Better to stand up and die with dignity than to live with the regret of your shame... Just my two bits though..." the veemon would say while he lounged against the tree, looking up at the sky through the leaf cove, hand outstretched at it while tapping his foot absent-mindedly. Haru couldn't help but stare St her partner. V Har always been pretty nonchalant. She hadn't expected him to be able to sound do wise though. She might have to ask him about that later.

The girl did look too interested in new acquaintances and thus the raven haired girl didn't press the introductions topic any further. However, the blonde's answer was a mix of concern and accusation, further making Yana lower her head more in shame. She wanted to help, that much was true, but Ari also raised a fair point. This silent, apologetic look wouldn't really last long as the girl reached for her digivice: "H-he's not that weak!", she promptly interjected in a quick justification as the girl finished talking, pulling up her digivice for Haru to see if she wanted. It still displayed the readings she had gotten earlier when she aimed it at the whole group of digimon. Gerry was stronger than any of the Blackguilmon individually, and strong enough that he wouldn't be killed so quickly. It might have looked like those three were simply picking on the weak, but Ari had much the same insight towards Digimon as Yana had to people. And more importantly, she knew that Gerry's lack of will wasn't something they'd be able to help him with. "Could you stick with him every day from now on then? The bullies will just come back once we leave this place.", Ari calmly pointed out, with a soft, non judgemental smile. Both of them obviously appreciated the girl's willingness to stand for the weak, but Ari in a particular saw a difference between truly helping and simply delaying the inevitable. Both her and Yana's look made it obvious they weren't happy with their choice, it looked like they had simply chosen the lesser of two evils: letting him stand there and take it, but if it came to a fight they'd be there to help. But they also had no place helping someone who for all intents and purposes seemed accepting of what was happening there... Vee called her out immediately, but even he had to admit he would rather die than be someone's doormat. Ari would have found another way and in that sense they wouldn't really be able to agree, but she still nodded affirmatively, "There's more options than fight or take it. You can ignore it or you can run away." While the two digimon discussed that part, Yana turned her attention to Gerry, still holding her Digivice in hand, "Have you been training...? Since you lost that fight?", asked Yana, leaning down slightly with a compassionate look in her eyes. The Guilmon answered positively, but hopeless, as if he felt all the training he'd done had been useless. It took Yana flashing the Digivice before his eyes to actually give him a sliver of hope. It was small, and faint, almost unnoticeable, but from where she was standing she could see it... Yet it didn't last long, "He's right...", he commented, nodding to Vee, "Fight and die... Or stand and take it", no matter how one looked at it, these sounded like someone else's words, and they obviously weren't the Veemons. Gerry was clearly non that happy with the idea of dying, but then he didn't even seem aware that how his higher power would let him escape if he really tried to. Almost as if he'd been thoroughly convinced that would never work.

Hard took a glance at the digivice presented to her. It's true what Yana claimed, bit that hadn't been Haru's point. Ari spoke up as well, she too had missed the point. Hard just shook her head in response to both individuals. "No. I can't," she said plainly, laying her hand palm side up, indicating Gerry with a passive gesture, "And I didn't say you should have saved him. I was asking if you were aware that your inaction can be just as harmful as doing something for someone else. It's important to understand the choices you make, or don't make, have consequences... That goes for you too, Gerry." she said, cooking her head toward the lizard, taking off her cap and dusting it off. "If you do nothing. Nothing is what will happen. Nothing is what you'll change. You can't rely on anyone else make the changes you want to see happen. You can't sit there and expect me, or Yana, or anyone to come save you. You can't expect these guys to stop antagonizing you. That's not fair. You can only expect things of yourself. You can only rely on yourself. That's what's fair." she'd say quite matter of factly, putting her hat back on her head. V remained largely quiet, only looking back to Haru for a moment, then back to Gerry. " Boss lady has a point... If you don't move from where you are, how will you get anywhere?"

Nodded affirmatively, Yana understood what the girl was saying about inaction, and even if she herself also wanted to go in and help the Guilmon the moment she saw what was happening, staying back for a while allowed her to learn a few things she might otherwise not have. Her shame, however, did not last long, and the more Haru talked the more she made her realize that much, even unintentionally. In the end, Yana understood Ari's opinion and stood by her partner: If both action and inaction can have negative consequences, none of the two was innately right or wrong. Perhaps they could have later learned the same thing they did by staying in the sidelines and watching for a while, but in the end, the choice Ari made and that Yana abode by. True, not helping the Guilmon could have gotten him killed. It wasn't likely, but it could happen. But then simply scaring away the bullies could just as well have coaxed them into bringing help: "I was: What you say is only natural... But If every choice has a consequence whether you make it or not, then all you can really do is learn and prepare before doing something, right?", Yana turned from Haru to the Guilmon as she talked, with a soft, reassuring smile. More than Gerry, Yana had confidence that whatever he had done to improve himself physically had worked. If he believed in that change, then those bullies would never get to him, even if they killed him, "In Gerry's case, he did what he thought he could: He trained, got stronger, prepared himself." Her's and Ari's gentle behavior in start contrast with Haru and Vee's blunt frankness, and little by little they were talking some sense into the previously broken Digimon. Truthfully, he wasn't really broken. He was breathing and moving around, he'd gotten stronger. Those bullies had got him down, but even when they beat him the first time around they didn't really break him. Vee's comment on how Inaction wouldn't get him anywhere clearly had a strong effect, and Ari quickly took the cue to dig the final nail in the coffin of this Digimon's mental weakness, "They're right. Even if you do prepare yourself as much as possible, once you get that past that stage, you just have to believe in yourself, and make that leap. Maybe others will be there to help you out, maybe they won't.", Ari shrugged and shook her headat this last part, not wishing to motivate the Guilmon through false hope. It didn't stop her from staring into his eyes and flashing a bright, radiant smile, "The one who locks you in a cage, and the one who holds the key to release you... That's none of us, and certainly not those bullies: They're both you." Gerry still looked down at his toes for a while... But once he finally looked up, all tears had been shed and he had a resolute look in his eyes, a lot better than the one that came before. "You're right, all of you... If I don't want to fight back, then why did I go through all that training? I don't want these cowards to get their way.", her had clearly realized something about himself, perhaps a resolution he'd once made but long since forgotten. Looking at where the bullies had ran off too, he turned to the girls and Vee, "You can leave me if you want... Those guys only come by when I'm alone.", he looked pretty angry at this, realizing the cowardice of the Blackguilmon. But he didn't let that cloud his judgement. Before any of them could walk away, he smiled at them all, "Thank you all, for taking your time... Turns out what I really needed was someone to snap me back to reality."

To Haru, Yana seemed to be trying to justify her actions to her, or there lack of. Part of the homeless girl was getting a little miffed, she hadn't accused her of anything? Furthermore how was this guilemon's life any of her business? If it did die, than it'd just respawn later. Death was a hollow thing when rebirth was a 100% certainty. Learn and prepare... Was that what she thought she had done? All she had learned is that Gerry wasn't weak. The information was irrelevant if he didn't have it in him to fight! Haru hadn't accused her of anything, nor was she looking to get into a dialog about the nature of choices, and whether it's better to wait and see or to act. There was a time and a place for both. The other part of Haru saw Yana as a girl who was just trying to stick by her and her partner's decision. There was nothing wrong with that. Haru hadn't even intended to get involved. Gerry was a stranger who'd been all too content to accept his lot in life. Why should she help him? He hadn't asked for it. Not directly. But V knew better. He had a thing for seeing the fight in others. Haru had always assumed he was just a regular Digimon, if those really existed, but she'd never seen him impart so much oddly fighting themed wisdom in a single sitting. Haru shook her head at what Yana had to say, holding her hands up to her waist, patting the air between her and Yana gently in a gesture to get her to relax a little. She wasn't particularly riled up, but compared to the level headed Haru she looked positively livid. "I dont disagree on the whole, but different circumstances call for different responses. I feel like in this one, a decisive action needed to be taken. That's all. I never meant for this to drag out the way it did..." she'd say in a more friendly tone, trying to mimic the dark haired girl's apologetic tone from when they'd met. Was she sorry? No. Haru didn't believe in being sorry. She couldn't. But she wasn't really apologizing, she just wanted stop the discussion before she became to invested on educating the other tamer. There were more important things at hand. V was having a hard time hiding his smirk, quite proud of little pep talk. Sure, Ari had been here but he honestly felt like she didn't have the perspective to understand the Guilemon's promise he'd made to himself that he'd forgotten, which of course was something V was all too familiar with. As Gerry stood up, do did V, who flashed a knowing grin to him. " 'fraid we can't do that actually... Those guys just miiiiiiight know a thing or two about attack on Terabyte City. Figure if they like to travel in packs, like they oft to do, then they must have heard something, you know? Plus I'm still awfully tired. Going someplace else would be such a hassle, ya know?"

Haru might have come across as cold and judgemental, overbearing even... But Yana saw her as driven, honest and self reliant. For someone like her who always saw the best in people, this girl was admirable, even if she obviously didn't like her. It was the same feeling she got when saw her and Vee in action in Terabyte city, that determined and resolute action that inspired her to take action, even if she hadn't been in the digital world for long. The sight of a girl her age fighting like that was enough to teach her that she could at least try to do the same, just as they had now talked Gerry into doing: "That's quite alright.", Yana just smiled calmly, content not to debate the subject further, as Gerry, Vee and Ari thought about what to do. She obviously didn't think any less of the the blonde, that much was clear if nothing else. Blushing slightly, she admitted her thoughts, "I don't mind talking to you..." Meanwhile, the three Digimon were left to their plans: "Don't get me wrong, I'd love a chat with that trio too... But how do you expect to get the bullies if they're too scared to come back?", Ari commented, with a faint smile on her face, pointing out the conflict between Vee's plan and his chosen actions. Her tone wasn't bitchy or anything of the sort, just a calm observation. They were pretty good at running and hiding so hunting them down would probably not work, "Sounds counter productive..." Vee raised a good point concerning how these guys might know about Terabyte city, something that a newbie to the Digital World like Yana would never even have considered. However, since he had no intention to leave and the bullies wouldn't come back on their own, they were at an impasse. However, it was up to Gerry to provide the solution this time, the fighter inside him fully understood what the Veemon wanted to do: "Guess it's up to me to go get em for you... It's the least I can do to return the favor.", Gerry smiled as he knew exactly what to do, how to play on the bullies' confidence to pay Vee back his kindness. He may not have come off as such or even bothered to, but the debt was there, "Let me take on their leader myself though." With this, he wandered off, but none of them doubted he'd soon come bearing gifts... ---------------------- By the time they saw Gerry come back into the clearing - it wouldn't have taken more than two minutes - he came followed by the three Blackguilmon from before. However, the moment they realized other tamers and Digimon were also nearby, their smirks faded instantly: "So...", challenged Gerry, staring the boss right in his eyes, "How about that rematch?" Though hesitant at first, Black and Red Guilmon soon began a vicious fistfight with teeth and claws... But the other two bullies wouldn't let the two fight in peace, prompting Ari to intervene even without Yana's direction, almost as if he'd read the tamer's mind. She would tackle one of them from behind the leg, knocking him him flat on his butt and following up with her signature attack, right to his startled face, "HOLY SHOOT!!"

Though she'd kind of mumbled it, Haru had heard the tail end of what Yana had said, the good listener she was. It caused the blonde's eyes to open wide a little bit in shock, she hadn't expected to ever really hear that from someone. Especially a stranger. How was she supposed to respond to that? She didn't mind talking with the leggy dark haired either, but she suspected they'd run out of things to talk about quickly. Haru wasn't much of a conversationalist, even though she was fairly well spoken despite her blunt way of speech. "Yeah uhh... You... You too." was all she could manage to think to say. It'd have been rude to just leave the compliment (or was it a confession?) unrequited. V looked at Ari with a chuckled a little. "Woah, woah, woah. You make it sound like I had some kinda plan or something? You're awfully presumptuous, yeah? Nah, I'm just lazy. Didn't feel like chasing them, ya know?" the Veemon would say with a shrug and a playful smirk. Gerry, to his credit, offered to fetch them. Haru fished the card she'd readied before from her pocket and readied it once more. As soon as the heads of the black guilemon peeked through the trees, she'd scan the card. "Digimodify! Atomic Ray!" the blonde shouted as V dove head first at the remaining Digimon, otherwise unoccupied by Gerry or Ari. In her short experience with these cards, they seemed to be just slightly better than one of V's actual attacks. But still, it ought to be more than enough. Especially if combined with his V spark. The Veemon's hands glowed red and blue respectively as they mimicked the attack of the mega level HiAmdromon, and the impressive atomic blast came rushing force in a beautiful purple beam once V's hands had come together to release the energy. He didn't release it however. Much to Haru's surprise the Veemon leaped toward the baffled virus, his head wreathed in green force energy. "V Headbutt!" he'd shout as he knocked the lizard to the ground. It heaved a moment, but just a moment, right before V brought his hands together, "Atomic Ray!" he'd yell while releasing the beam point blank on the bullies face. He might have survived one of those attacks, but he'd never survive both.

Just like Haru, Yana too wasn't really good at making conversation, especially when she felt like people weren't really interested in it anyway. Thus, their litter chatter ended for the time being with a polite smile, but even then their digimon partners had none of those problems or anything similar. Vee had a playful look as he dismissed Ari's notion of a plan, but even if she was smart enough to understand at least some of what he was thinking, that didn't stop her from playing along: "Sure, sure~", Ari just answered with a mischievous wink, smiling as she and Yana got ready for the fight to ensure, "You almost had me thinking you were a Veemon with a plan." Regardless, once the enemy digimon arrives, all playfulness was set aside for the time being. They could crack jokes and get to know each other better once the evil Blackguilmon bullies had been taken care of, and that was exactly what was going to happen. Even if she tried her all to keep her eyes peeled on Ari's battle, Yana couldn't help but glance at Haru and Vee as well. Perhaps the only good memory she had of Terabyte city was feeling motivated by watching that pair fight. Ari had all but finished her own fight, with two properly aimed attacks using what she learned from the last Blackguilmon they fought. It was left unconscious after being shot in the face with a Holy shoot, allowing Ari to lay back and watch the boys fight. Meanwhile, the Guilmon vs Blackguilmon was clearly going in Gerry's favor: He suffered a lot less from each punch he took than his oppoenent did, and before long all three Blacguilmon were down for the count: "You three... You relied so much on your numbers you didn't even remember to nurture your own. Pretty sad, really.", Ari quipped, shaking her head disapprovingly. Indeed her and Yana relied on each other too, but not once did they let themselves believe they could win simply by fighting as a pair. Even now they tried to help each other grow stronger, further increasing their strength as a whole. Yana and Ari then looked on at the downed bullies, as two humans and three digimon easily surrounded them... Yana for once just looked on at Haru and Vee. They seemed to know more about Terabyte city as well as seen the whole thing when it first started, and thus she simply asked them, "What now...?"

With that,the problem had been solved. Well... Almost. "We do 'em a favor". Haru gave V a surprised look, but the quick, serious glance he returned told Haru not to argue."Digimodify" haru stated simply, the card giving V a great shield and lance belonging to the average Gallantmon. Very would then approach each of the downed Digimon and spear it through the head, causing the critter to "die" in a burst of code, Hard taking off her cap, holding it over her chest "Maybe they'll be able to be nice now..." she'd mumble to herself mostly. She understood to someone like Yana, or Ari, or even Gerry it may seem... Drastic. They likely wouldn't get it unless she explained, which she would, but only after she was sure the gathered parties didn't intervene. With the trio now on their way through the cycle of rebirth, Haru took her hat off her chest and placed it back on her head, looking to the three companions she'd made today. "I don't believe most Digimon are born bad... Chances are whatever made those three cruel won't be around again." "Everyone deserves a second chance, ya know? Maybe this time they'll do it right... Plus, leaving them alone would left them to just run off and bully somebody else." V would say solemnly before the card gear faded from his body. He and Haru shared yet another long stare, perhaps surprised to have understood each other so well. "Of course. Now we have no leads. We'll have to go back to wandering around." V shrugged and layer his hands on the back of his head. "Then it's a good thing I'm not so tired no more, eh boss?" he'd say as if it were an obvious thing. Hard of course knew, and likely so did everyone gathered, that'd he'd never been tired to begin with. "Alright then." Ryuukami said evenly, with a slight tinge of smarminess.

The battle was over at last... Tamer and Digimon looked at the other pair, wondering what they would do, but even then there was no way she could have expected what the girl did next. Using her digivice to give Vee a lance and shield, the Veemon promptly took his new weapons and speared each of the bullies' heads, one by one, baffling the dark haired tamer, "W-what... why...?", asked the shocked Yana, wide eyed at the brutality before them.

"Oh right, I forgot to tell you that part!", remembered Ari, turning back to the girl who'd only recently arrived in the digital world, "When a Digimon dies, they don't simply get deleted, their data just gathers up in a new Digi egg where they'll be reborn. And Vee is right, Digimon aren't born cruel unless something makes them that way."

Yana was a computer geek after all, and she could understand half of the things that happened in the digital world by intuition alone. But she had always associated death for Digimon as a kind of deletion, and thus thoroughly believed dead and deleted digimon were gone for good. She sighed in relief as she found out that wasn't the case, as even Gerry didn't really care what happened to the three bullies after he defeated their boss. Once the solemnty of the situation slowly eased away with hopeful thoughts, she allowed herself a chuckle as Vee pointed out the obvious about how he wasn't really tired. They would go back to wandering, and so Yana and Ari would take the cue to do the same:

"Guess we should too... I hope we'll see each other soon!", she smiled brightly at Haru, Vee and Gerry, before slowly walking off as they went back to their adventures

"Hopefully in brighter circumstances next time~", Ari winked as she added that last part, before turning around and leaving alongside Yana...

With Yana and Ari moving out on their own, and Haru and V with plans to do the same, it appeared their interaction had come to a close. They duo express led a hope to meet again soon, which Haru wasn't too sure they were sincere about. Haru was homeless, but even she had a cellphone. If they'd wanted to keep in touch, an exchange of numbers might have been better than leaving things to chance...

Still. Nothing to do about it now. Haru didn't care enough to ask, and they didn't care enough to offer. Thus the timers parted ways, having successfully helped a stranger in need.
