It started out small.
Gotham's home for the criminally insane fell to those contained within.
One ruined the doctor and another killed several.
The media wanted a story. The doctor gave them one.
It grew.
Fed by the words of the news, citizens turned on them. The mutants.
It was their fault, he said. Their fault the asylum fell.
They were diseased he said.
They needed to be cured he said.
The mutant epidemic.
Their lives didn't matter. They were just prey for the healthy.
They were shunned. They were killed.
And sympathizers were treated even worse,
labeled traitors to their race.
In a world where fear and anger rule, who will have mercy on your soul?
