She said I'm no genius and I've lost myself The books are on the table and the secret's on the shelf |
The Two of Wands, a fork in the road... Which path should she take? She had drawn this card and looked it over intensely before realizing that she needed to return to her roots; The great and noble land of Denmark! She was excited about going home, especially with Eurovision on the horizon- her nation would, of course, be the victor, she was planning on leaving before time to vote. But she was especially excited to see her family again! Until she remembered that she'd pushed her mother into oncoming traffic as a small child and her brother hanged himself in prison. And her dad died somehow, but she didn't recall that one as vividly. Man. Rough childhood. But she was still deadset on going home to Denmark! Until she got lost somewhere in Poland after flying in from Tokyo and wound up in Moscow. Then she somehow ended up somewhere in the Digital World, but didn't even question that fact, and in fact, believed she was still in Moscow. Had no idea how that happened, but it was certainly more welcome than her previous confusion. And so the teenager sat down in a rugged looking bar filled with angry, scary, for-some-reason-shirtless, men, and one regular-looking guy, who she chose to ignore temporarily. She waltzed right up to the counter and asked for a glass of straight vodka, as she was a strong independent girl of relatively small stature who would definitely not be too drunk to stand by the time she finished the glass. And so she took a big swill and turned to the only man in the bar with a shirt on. He looked oddly familiar... "Bartender! Bring this man a bowl of potatoes! Whole ones, POWERFUL ones!" The bartender gruffly nodded, unperturbed by the absurdity of her request, which was rather brusquely shouted in Russian. That was how things got done in Russia. Angry shouting. It was a system that worked. She turned to the man and nodded coolly at him. "Privyet, yo. How's ya doin', eh? Crazy fight back there that time, amirite?" She laughed hysterically at the memory of violently assaulting thin air. Good times.
