"Guiding the next generation" (Anko)

Anko watched the fish fly through the air to land onto the ground, she actually started to count them with her finger before Adam returned to sit beside her. "You caught 12 fish." She said with a smile, looking at his spiky hair. "Your hair looks funny." She then said, crossing her legs as she spoke.
She then started to listen as Adam told her that the stars were the most beautiful thing out there to see in night time. "They have stars in the Digital World?" She asked, handing the wild tamer his clothes back.

Anko noticed that Remy was done with creating firewood, the Renamon returned to them and told them he needed Garurumon to light the fire. The girl clapped with her hands in excitement. "Garu-rurumon!" She beamed, giggling as Adam brought out his digivice and a green light started surrounding the Renamon.
In a matter of seconds, a Garurumon appeared. She smiled when he plopped down and rest his head on her lap. She brought her hand to his nose and stroked it gently. "I wonder what Keigo will digivolve into next." Anko told Adam and Remy. "I hope he becomes just as brave as you, Remy."

Keigo sneezed when the tip of Renae's tail tickled his nose. "A-a-ashoo!" He exclaimed, which made Anko giggle. "Gesundheit!" Anko yelled, and Keigo looked down in embarrassment as he once again received a compliment. This time Renae called him quite the looker. He, instead tried to focus on the instructions that Renae was giving him.
"Oh, alright!" Keigo said, walking over to a rock and picking it up. The medium tall Veemon brought the rock towards the fireplace and placed it neatly beside the other rocks that Renae had already cared for.
"Sho.." He began, hoping to engage in a conversation. "Do you.. are you.." He continued, but found himself too shy to speak. Though then, he stood on his tippy-toes and then exclaimed; "Are you sheeing shomeone?" That might have been a tad too loud, and the Veemon blushed in humiliation again.

Remy let out a happy huff as Anko began to pet his snout. The champion digimon rubbed his face against against Anko's stomach as she said that she hoped Keigo's champion form was as courageous as he was. Remy just looked up at Anko and shook his head before laying his head back down with a big toothy smile.

"It's not the form that makes a digimon courageous little Anko but what's in the digimons heart. It's like that old human saying it's what on the inside that counts."

Adam nodded at what his champion level digimon was saying. It reminded Adam of the legend that Renae and Remy once told him about the digidestines of old and the power of the magical crests. The thought of this made Adam smile a a bit as he turned to Anko after putting his shirt on. He then patted her head softly.

"Remy is right, it's what is inside that makes a true hero. In fact, there is a legend in the digital world of several kids who were also digi-destined just like us except they had a bit of something extra. They had the power of things called crests that were powered by traits the kids had. This power let their digimon digivolve into their ultimate and Mega forms. There were nine total. They were the crests of courage,friendship,hope,light, knowlage, reliability,love,kindness and sincerity. Legend goes that once their job was done they released the power of the crests to protect the world in their absence and now anyone who proves themselves worthy of the power will be able to use them."

Adam smiled a big toothy grin as she shook water out of his hair at Anko playfully.

"I'm sure you will get one of the crests power in no time."

While her tamer was speaking to Anko, Renae blushed as Keigo asked if she was seeing anyone. The young digimon shook her head and blushed and smiled. She then knelt down to Keigo's level and kissed his cheek.

"I am now.

Once the circular path was completed, Renae just jumped into the air and let out launched diamond hard leaves into it to dig a deep hole for the wood.

"Diamond storm!"

Once the attack was over and the hole was dug, Renae looked at the two human tamers.

"The pit is ready for the wood you two! Make sure to save some sticks to put the fish on!"

Anko listened quietly to what Remy was telling her, the girl suddenly got very quiet as she looked down at her lap. Her mother used to tell her that all the time, and now here she was, away from the one person she truly felt safe with. Of course, Keigo made her feel safe, and so did Adam. But her mom. She was the brightest light in her life, along with her father.
The young tamer buried her face into Remy's fur, holding on to him as she began to cry. The last time she had seen her mother, was almost 2 days ago. "M-mmama!" Anko bawled, holding on to Remy like she never wanted to let him go.

The Veemon chuckled nervously as he asked if she was seeing someone, way to go Casanova. Any more bright ideas? Though when Renae kissed him on his cheek, he blushed again. However the moment was interrupted by Anko bursting into tears, and like the reliable partner he was.. he had to go to his tamer. "O-oh umm.. if you excushe me for a moment, my lady." He said, before sprinting over to his emotional tamer. "A-Anko?" He stammered, and looked back at Renae with a bit of a goofy smile. His legs kind of felt like noodles at the moment.
"What.. what happened?"

Adam's eyes went wide as Anko began to cry into Remy's fur and began to call for her mama. Out of instinct Adam began to rub her back as she cried with a small sigh. Adam knew how she felt since he was also plucked away from his parents at almost the same age that she was. Adam decided to pick up his crying princess and wrap her in his warm jacket before holding her close and rocking her softly in his arms.

"Shh it's alright little princess. Time in the digital world passes faster then it does in the human one. Two days here is just a few minutes there. I know you miss them, I miss my family too. I haven't seen them in seven years in digital world time but I do promise you this. I will use all my power to get you back home to them as soon as I can. You can put your faith in me and my digimon and keigo too! We won't let anything happen to you. We are a team after all."

As Keigo walked over, Renae followed him with a concerned look on her face as she saw Anko was crying but smiled a bit as she saw that Adam was doing his very best to cheer her up. Renae just decided to start putting the fire wood into the fire pit so that they could cook some food that maybe that would cheer Anko up. Once all the fire wood, minus some sticks were in the pit she whistled over to her brother who got up and walked over to the fire pit and launched large mass of blue flames from his mouth.

"Howling blaster!"

Once the fire was lit, Remy walked back over to Anko and laid down next to her with a small smile.

"Even princesses need to eat."

Renae giggled and smiled and began to stab the fish onto the sticks. She then placed them on the edge of the flames so that all the fish began to cook. She then smiled and rubbed Anko's back.

"Food will be ready soon."

Anko began to sob even harder when Adam rubbed her back, her arm went up to gently push Adam's arm away. She had an odd habit of not wanting to be touched when she was crying.
Then Adam picked her up, which made the girl hide her face into the male's neck. She grabbed a fistful of his shirt, holding on to him as she continued to cry.
When Adam was trying to comfort her, she hiccuped softly. "I- I want.. ma-maa.." She cried, unable to say anything else than that. She had been here for two days already which resulted in Keigo being injured. She just wanted to go home.

Keigo looked down as Adam was comforting his tamer, the Veemon couldn't help but feel a little sad himself. Anko's parents were the sweetest, and their cooking skills were lovely. Anko always saved him a bit of their riceballs.
The rookie turned to see Remy and Renae continuing their work by putting the firewood into the firepit. The Garurumon then lit it by using a howling blaster.

The Veemon then sat beside Adam, with a bit of a sad smile. He didn't speak though. Remy walked up to them, saying that even princesses needed to eet. The rookie grinned a little, before patting the girl on her shoulder. "Come on, shweetnessh, shoon we'll be having your mama'sh richeballsh again. That'sh a promishe, okay?"
Anko pulled back, rubbing her eyes whilst nodding.

Adam smiled and patted Anko's head as Keigo finished comforting the little girl. It was obvious that the young veemon and the little tamer belonged together forever just like and the twins did. As the little girl began to wipe her eyes and calm down, Adam nodded over to Renae who then quickly went over to the fire pit and grab a couple of the fish on a stick to pass out. She sat Remy's down in front of him and then gave Adam his who then promptly took a large bite with a happy smile. Renae then held out Anko's and Keigo's.

"This will make you feel all better!"

Adam as he ate thought about his own parents. It was true that time moved way faster in the digital world then it did in the human world but he had been in the digital world for seven years which made him wonder how much time had passed in the real world for his parents and how long they had been without their son and if they would recognize him if he returned to them. The thoughts made Adam's smile fade a little but he forced it back onto his face as he smiled at Anko.

"By the time you get back I betcha only like five minutes of real world time will have passed for your parents. You will be home in time for rice balls like Keigo said just you wait. I've been here for seven years so I don't know how much time has passed for my mom and dad but unlike you I wasn't really looking for a way home until now."

Remy looked up from his meal toward his tamer.

"Just because you haven't been looking doesn't mean Renae and I haven't been. We know you weren't looking because you know it's a digidestines job to protect this world but it's also your partners job to keep you safe and happy. You have give this world years of your life. It's only fair that we work together to give you those years back."

Renae nodded at her brothers words and looked at Anko.

"We will get you all home if it's the last thing we do."
