Terabyte Technologies

If you follow an unmarked alleyway away from the main commerce section, you will find yourself standing outside of a dark, seemingly abandoned shop. The sign is broken, the Terabyte Techno gies flickering on and off, the O from Technologies seemingly having disappeared. The only signs of activity come from a deep humming noise emanating from the interior of the building. Once you enter, you see what seems to be a normal shop, though the room is dark, and everything seems to be in varying states of disrepair. The counter is manned by a single, damaged Datamon. "Can I upgrade your Digivice today, sir, madam, or PLEASE INSERT GENDER VARIABLE?".

He starts to twitch and spark, making horrendous grinding sounds, and points to a door behind him. Through the door are a set of stairs going down, and if you follow them, you'll find yourself in the actual shop. Loud and bustling, full of Digidestined and Digimon, with many Guardromon standing sentry along the walls, the true Terabyte Technologies is a hub of activity. An Ebemon is tinkering with some Digivices by the main counter, and looks over to you. "You got the wrong digivice, eh? You want some, extra functionality? I can help you out. You got any little digi-friends that don't have a digivice, but still want all the benifts of having one? Easy, I can sort that code out for them quick as anything."

Digivices

The D-1 Digivice is the classic Digivice that made its first appearance in Digimon Adventure, the Digimon series' first official season. The D-1 is considered by some to be a primitive device, and is one of the four Digivices available to choose for Tamers from the outset. Its primary drawback is that in order to reach Ultimate-level, a Tamer must undergo a staff-mediated and approved quest to obtain a Crest, and the same for Mega-level, but to obtain a Tag. However, these items empower your Digimon, and after the arduous task of collecting each, you obtain a 25 post bonus towards your next level. There is nothing restricting a D-1 from reaching Super Mega level once both are obtained.

D-1 Digivice

The D-1 Digivice is the classic Digivice that made its first appearance in Digimon Adventure, the Digimon series' first official season. The D-1 is considered by some to be a primitive device, and is one of the four Digivices available to choose for Tamers from the outset.

Functions of the D-1:

• Digivolution: Utilising the D-1, a Digimon can reach up to Champion unabetted, Ultimate with a Crest, and Mega with a Crest and Tag.

The D-3 is often considered a staple Digivice, as it is often the standard amongst Tamers. It provides no drawbacks, but also no bonuses, whilst evenly providing access to everything the D-3 Digivice does. The D-3 is one of the four Digivices available to choose for Tamers from the outset

Functions of the D-3:

• Digivolution: Utilising the D-3, a Tamer can reach levels up to Super Mega using only experience.

D-Power Digivice

The D-Power Digivice is the revamped Digivice that made its first appearance in Digimon Tamers, the Digimon series' third official season. The D-Power, like its predecessor, possesses all the Digivolution-based features required to reach up to Super Mega, but provides further drawbacks and bonuses. The D-Power is the only Digivice that can utilise cards in battle to provide their partner Digimon bonuses, upgrades, and special attacks, but at the drawback of its requiring a Blue Card to access Matrix Digivolution, and a Red Card to access Mega Digivolution, both of which additionally require staff-approved quests to obtain. The D-Power is one of the four Digivices available to choose for Tamers from the outset.



NB -- You must buy cards to use with the D-Power! All cards can be used once per thread. You can use a maximum of 5 cards per thread. You can overlap up to two cards simultaneously so long as their effects make sense, i.e. not summoning two pieces of two-handed equipment together for a Digimon that only has two hands.



Additionally, utilising attacks of an originally higher level on a Digimon of a lower level (such as Omnimon's Grey Sword on your Crabmon) does not mean that the lower level Digimon attacks at a higher level. To illustrate your example, your Crabmon simply has a Rookie-level Grey Sword, which provides a proportional power boost.

• Digivolution: Utilising the D-Power, a Tamer can reach levels up to Champion independently. With a Blue Card, they can access Ultimate, and a Red Card provides free access to Mega and Super Mega.

D-Tector Digivice

The D-Tector Digivice is the new Digivice that made its first appearance in Digimon Frontier, the Digimon series' fourth official season. The D-Tector does not function in a manner similar to its predecessors; the user of a D-Tector does not possess a partner, but is in fact a "Spirit User", one who bonds with digitised spirits -- avatars of more powerful Digimon containing portions of their energy -- to become a Digimon themselves, eliminating the Tamer bond completely in favour of something more primorial and personal. Much like the Tamer's D-3, the Spirit User's D-Tector unlocks the majority of spirits through sheer progress, but external spirits (those emulating Armor or Alternate Digivolution) will have to be found, or purchased, through 'Spirit Hunts'. Spirit Users start at Rookie automatically, and the D-Tector can only be used by Spirit Users.

Functions of the D-Tector:

• Digivolution: Utilising the D-Power, a Tamer can reach levels up to Super Mega equivalent (Z-Hybrid) immediately.

[/font][li]Slide Digivolution: Provided both forms are unlocked, a Digimon can successfully 'slide' between spirits (i.e. H-Hybrid straight to Z-Hybrid).[/li]

iC Digivice

The iC Digivice is the new Digivice that made its first appearance in Digimon Savers, the Digimon series' fifth official season. The iC is more conventional than the D-Tector, but it is like the other Tamer Digivices, simply more concealable and fashionable in the real world; it also possesses the ability to access something called "Digisoul Charge" for a variable amount of posts per thread. Digisoul Charge emulates your Digimon's power to be a level higher than it effectively is, at the cost of energy expenditure, for a very short burst of time.

• Digivolution: Utilising the iC, a Tamer can reach levels up to Super Mega independently.
