Wanted: Nanny [Adam/ask]

Tobias rubbed his forehead as he gently put the bag with kibble near the playpen. 
Today had been another exhausting day, at least 3 out of 5 DigiEggs had hatched, and they required a lot of nurturing and explanations. Not to mention Tobias had to go out and go look for more DigiEggs that had appeared near the City. Who was he even kidding? He didn't have someone helping him running the daycare, and the In-training digimon were far too irresponsible to take care of their fellow babies. 

The Dynamon looked out of the window like he was begging for someone to come and help, until he heard the bag with kibble topple over. "Oi!" He exclaimed, storming over to the bag to put it somewhere else. "Xiaomon, really pal? Ya just ate!" He whined as the little In-training happily munched on the fallen kibble. It didn't take long for the other babies to dive onto the fallen food themselves. Tobias sighed once again. 

He thought the worst had passed, until the Punimon that had hatched an hour ago began to cry. "Oh no no no, lil' one!" He stammered, rushing over to the playpen to take it into his arms. "They ain't gonna eat ya.." He mumbled, rocking the Punimon gently. "At least I've raised them--" He was interrupted by a Koromon screaming. "HEY! THAT WAS MINE!" 
Tobias whimpered, when was this day going to end? When would they digivolve? "Koromon, ye gotta share alright?" Then he turned to the Tsunomon that apparently took away one of the Koromon's toys. "And you, why did ye take that rattle from yer brother? Yer guys are twins, act like it!"

After a few minutes, the Punimon finally calmed down enough for Tobias to put him back into the playpen. 
Sweat was dribbling down the Dynamon's face. "Oh what am I gonna doo..?"

Money, why did a jungle dweller like him need money? That was what Adam couldn't help but think as he and his twin Renamon Remy and Renae finished their long walk into the east from the south. Renae had made the group begin the long walk early that morning saying that the group needed money for when they went to visit Terabyte city. Adam just decided that it was best not to argue with the motherly digimon and just go along with the plan. Once the trio arrived to the day care that Renae had heard about the three of them decided to look around for the person or digimon that was in charge. It wasn't long before Renae spotted a Dynamon running around trying to take care of so many digimon while arguing with a Koromon and a Tsunomon. Renae just whistled over to her brother and tamer who quickly came running. Before Adam began speaking however he brushed some jungle dirt from his torn black shirt, old cargo shorts and hooded green cloth trench coat.

"Excuse me sir? My name's Adam and these are my twin digimon Remy and Renae. The black one is Renae and the yellow one is Remy. I'm a tamer who has been in the digital world since I was eight. I was wondering if we could have a job cause we live in the jungle to the west and need the money. We will gladly help take care of the tiny digimon."

Adam then put on a big smile as Renae patted her tamers head softly to show him that he did a good job. Remy just shrugged and walked over to a tall tree that was casting a large shadow and sat down and shut his eyes. He really did care about the small digimon he just wasn't much of a talker. When Adam saw his male digimon walk away he just sighed a loud sigh and looked at the Dynamon.

"Don't mind him. He really does care he just not much of a talker. We will gladly do anything to help."

Tobias raised his head when someone came into his Daycare, there usually weren't any visitors. Mostly tamers feeling drawn to the place and ending up meeting their partner mon. So imagine his disappointment when a tamer and two digimon entered.
"Well ello to ya too, mister human." He replied, while he then proceeded to listen to what the human tamer had to say. "Oh-- well.. I could really use the help, aye." Tobias said, but then slapped his forehead. He was so pumped up about the idea to have some help around here, that he totally forgot to introduce himself! "How bloody rude of me." He exclaimed, approaching Adam and Renae and offer him his claw. "My name's Tobias! Pleasure to be acquainted to ya lot!"

The Dynamon watched the other Renamon back away, shrugging when the human said that he wasn't much of a talker. "Trust me, there are a lot of other digimon just like 'em. Nothin' I ain't used to."
He stepped aside to let them enter the Daycare.
"Everybody, meet yer new nannies! They'll be helpin' me out takin' care of ye guys. Don' be too hard on 'em, alrighty?"

The baby digimon nodded eagerly, but Tobias knew better. There were quite a few troublemakers among them that would make it hard for the new guys to fit in.
"As for payment.. I take ye guys want bits, do ye not?" Tobias said, opening his pouch to hold up a bag with bits. "How much are ye expecting?"

When the digimon named Tobias held up his coin pouch Adam just held up his hand and shook his head. He wasn't too good with numbers or money or anything like that. He often let Renae take charge when it came to stuff like that because he had no head for it. Adam decided to just get to work by walking over to the play pen by the Dynamon where the Koromon and the Tsunomon were playing and fighting. He then crouched down to look at them and give them a small gentle wave.

"Hiya my name's Adam it's nice to meet ya. My digimon are twins just like you. I bet one day you guys will grow up to be just as strong as them I just know it. Wanna know a little secret though? For that to happen ya gotta work together. Family shouldn't fight with each other."

Renae watched happily as her tamer decided to just dive right in and try to make friends with the young digimon. She then looked back at Tobias with a small motherly smile as she thought about his question about the money. Renae just shrugged at the older digimon and just gave the fellow rookie another smile.

"Any amount you feel like paying us is fine with us. I handle the money stuff cause my tamer isn't to good at math and things. If I may ask sir, do you get a lot of intruders around here. My brother and I are able to reach champion level so if you would like while I and Adam take care of the kids my brother can act as a sort of body guard in his champion form."

Renae then looked over to her brother who was happily lounging under the tree. When his sister volunteered him to be the guard of the daycare he just nodded as he stood up and stretched.

"I'de be okay with that."

Renae then whistled over to her tamer who was happily watching over the baby digimon.

"I'm game too if he is."

Tobias looked a tad surprise, assuming the human did not want bits after all. The Dynamon could've sworn he needed money. He looked a little odd when Adam walked away from him to meet the babies. Ah, someone who dived right into the job. Tobias liked that.
Then the dragon looked at the female Renamon, knowing she would be the one to tell him what he meant.

"Ah, well. How about I give ya 5 bits per day?" He then realised that the price was a tad low, and he rubbed the back of his head. "Per digimon, I mean." As he was offered a bodyguard, Tobias snickered. "I don' think anyone would be heartless enough to attack harmless babies. But, a little guarding wouldn't be very bad." Tobias said, assuming Renae didn't want her brother to be bored around here. A nanny wasn't really a job for a male, but Tobias just grew into it, really.

"Well then." He said, heading over to the backroom. "Would ye like something ta drink?" He turned around and winked at the trio. "Travelin' must be very tirin'." Then the Dynamon entered the backroom to grab some beverages.
Tobias remembered traveling from the Village of Beginning to the City, it took so much willpower to actually go through with it and not return home. In the end, everything turned quite okay.

"So, ye say ya've been in the Digital World since ye were 8 right? Impressive. Yer partners are lucky to have ya. I wasn't chosen to be partnered." It wasn't hard to notice the saddened tone in Tobias' voice.
When he was just a mere babe, he wished for one of those humans. But unfortunately it wasn't meant to be.

As Adam made faces at and watched the babies play, he listened Tobias talk to Renae about them being payed and then listened as Tobias asked if they would like a drink. Adam just waved at the babies and followed the Dynamon along with Renae to the back room as Tobias said that not many people would attack babies. Adam just shook his head and held up his hand and then pulled the left side of his coat away to show a large leather brown pouch connected to his belt loop which had a thermos connected to it. he then looked at Renae who had a bit of a nervous look before just nodding at her tamer. Adam then looked back at Tobias.

"Tobias sir, I don't know if you have heard but there is a new evil force in the digital world who goes by Rustmon. He aims to destroy all life in the world and that includes babies. I hate to say it but I think you could use a guard at least for awhile. We have fought some of Rustmon's flunkies and we can tell yea he is strong. If you excuse me."

Adam then walked out of the back room, his body a bit stiff as he did so. He quickly walked out of the building and out to the tree where Remy sat resting. Without a word he pulled his digivice out from under his shirt and pulled it off from around his neck. This made Remy stand up and stretch a bit.

"You got it boss."

Adam then aimed his digivice at Remy who was then engulfed in a glowling green orb of energy as he began to digivolved.

"Renamon digivolve to!... Garurumon!"

Once he broke out of the orb, Remy now in his champion level form laid back down under the tree but made sure to keep his eyes on the horizon in case of trouble. Adam then petted Remy's head before walking back inside. Once back inside he noticed that a little yokomon was crying by a big pile of blocks. Adam just smiled and removed his coat and then quickly went over to the baby to pick it up. He then found a rocking chair and sat down and cradled the baby and began rocking it using his coat as a blanket and began to hum as he did which quickly made the baby begin to yawn.

Meanwhile back in the back room, Renae just sighed and shook her head but smiled.

"I'll take some water if you don't mind. You have to excuse him. He's young and even though he refuses to admit it, he's still quite shaken up by what's been happening to use lately. Not only did we face off against some Rustmon flunkies but we fought a Shadramon recently and that didn't go to well. He doesn't mean to seem rude. So is there anything specific I can help with?"

As Tobias was grabbing himself some water, he couldn't help but emit a soft laugh. The Dynamon was taking the threat about Rustmon a little too lightly. "Oh that guy? I ain't scared of 'em." He spoke, turning around while leaning against the counter. "Besides, the chance of 'im showin' up is like 0%." He told both Adam and Renae. "Oh an' ye can call me Tobias. No need for the sir part. I ain't that old." He said with a grin.

When Adam walked out, Tobias couldn't help but watch him go. He surely was one of the quiet types wasn't he? The Dynamon watched the Renamon digivolve to a Garurumon. Maybe they did take the Rustmon threat seriously. Would that evildoer really attack harmless babies like that?
Tobias swallowed. "I uh.. appreciate it." He told Renae. "If ye lot really think this Rustmon is dangerous, well then who am I to stop ye? A bit of guarding can't be that bad anyway."

The Dynamon watched Adam come back into the building and approach the crying Yokomon. Tobias winced, Yokomon wasn't exactly one of the easiest to comfort. "I think ye might--" But he stopped himself once he noticed that Yokomon was actually quieting down and snuggling within the humans hold. Tobias couldn't help but smile at the sight.

When Renea started talking, Tobias snapped out of his thoughts and went right back to taking care of some water. "Ey, would yer brother like some water too? It really ain't a lot of trouble."
Then Tobias listened to what the female Renamon had to say, the dragon couldn't help but feel bad for the human. "Ah, well ye can't blame 'em. The Digital World ain't how it used to be." He said, before snickering. "Bloody 'ell, I sound like an old Jyureimon!" He joked, which probably wasn't funny.
"Well.. eh.. I could probably use yer help with the babies. Some are quite.. mischievous and tend to cause a bit of a hassle during feeding time." Tobias said, looking a little flustered about his failed joke.

Renae gave Tobias a small nod as he said that he felt a little bad for her tamer. Even though she wouldn't outwardly say it to her tamer she felt kinda bad for him too. He had lost his family and been thrown into a world that he didn't know at such a young age. He was then molded into a warrior without much of a choice. As Tobias told her that that some of the babies were difficult to feed she couldn't help but giggle slightly.

"You have never had to try and feed a human boy foods he doesn't like or argue with your brother about sharing the days rations. I have it handled Tobias. I'll take some water out to my brother and then come back to help you get lunch ready."

Renae then quickly went to the kitchen area and grabbed a large bucket and filled it with sink water. She then quickly ran the water out to her brother who was happily lounging under his new favorite tree his chin resting on his paws. Renae put down the bucket and knelt down to her champion level brother with a small gentle smile.

"Having fun bro?"

Hearing his sisters voice, Remy looked up and gave her a big toothy smile before putting his head back down.

"I could get used to this kind of work."

Renae just giggled and patted her brothers head with a smile.

"Thought you might say that. We are about to fix lunch. I'll make sure to bring you something."

Renae then turned and quickly walked back inside. As she entered the room she noticed that the Yokomon that her tamer was now fast asleep in the corner and had been replaced by two digimon this time, the Koromon and Tsunomon from before when they first showed up. Her tamer was stroking their heads softly and instead of sitting in silence he was softly singing to them, all the crazy baby digimon who were previously jumping around were listening quietly having looks of amazement on their little faces. Renae just smiled and walked back into the back room to meet Tobias. She just smiled and patted the digimons shoulder and then pointed out to the play area and spoke softly.

"I don't think we will have trouble feeding the babies today Tobias. I recognize that song, Adam sang it to my brother and I when ever we would cry as babies. He says his human parents sang it to him at night."

Tobias looked like someone had pulled his tongue out to prevent him from saying things any further. The Dynamon looked at the human with a sad expression. "Aye, indeed I haven't. But yer lad seems to be very kind, so yer lucky to have 'em." He told the Renamon, nodding when she said she was going to bring water to her brother.

He observed them quietly until he focused back on Adam. He widened his eyes and looked like someone had just kicked him in the gut. The Yokomon was fast asleep, but she was now accompanied by the twins Koromon and Tsunomon. "Bloody 'ell.." he cursed softly, trying not to wake them.
Even the other baby digimon seemed to have settled down at the edge of the playpen, just to be near Adam. It was an weird sight to see, but, oddly satisfying since this was probably going to be the first good rest Tobias ever had since he started the Daycare.

He looked at Renae as she came back. "I can tell." He replied cheekily, though he rubbed his shoulder awkwardly. This was the first time he had nothing to do, and honestly, it felt amazing.
"I see." He said, looking at the bag of kibble. It wasn't feeding time yet, but just the thought of the baby digimon screaming and crying for food just brought chills to his spine. If Adam was here, perhaps things wouldn't be so difficult after all. Paying them would be worth the bits.
"So, Renae, how'd ye lot meet each other?" He asked, a tad curious to their history. If Adam was truly an 8 year old when they met, then whoa. It was only logical that they were at their champion stages right now.
Tobias wished he would be able to digivolve up to that stage, it'd be easier to fight off evildoers and protect the innocent.

Renae just smiled and bobbed her head to her tamers song as he sang. She then listened to Tobias say that they were lucky to have him. The young rookie had to agree with this statement. She and her brother would have been lost souls if it wasn't for young Adam being there to keep them together and focused on their goals and relationship with each other. As Tobias asked how the two digimon met Adam she couldn't help but smile as she peeked out the back room door to watch her tamer tend to the babies who were now asking him to tell them a story now that he was done singing. She then smiled at the caretaker with a happy sigh.

"That's a day I'll never forget. My brother had hatched a few days before we met him in primary village. As soon as we hatched we knew where we needed to be and who we needed to be with. We made the long journey to the jungles in the south but by the time we got there a large lightning storm had begun with winds strong enough to break branches. When we got there a large green flash of light happened and a little boy was laying on the ground in front of us wearing a green coat that was way to big for him. When he got up and saw us and saw what was happening he didn't panic or scream. Adam just picked us both up and wrapped us in his coat and found a gave for us to take shelter in and just held us until the storm was over. That night was scary but it was one I wouldn't trade for anything.

Renae then peeked in on her tamer once more and then looked at the bag of kibble and gently began scratching her chin with her paw. She could probably use her fast speed to fill up all the food bowls before the baby digimon even noticed. She just smiled and patten the dino digimons shoulder.

"I'll have their bowls full before they even notice I'm there and then the adults can eat."

Renae then picked up the bag of kibble and quickly but almost silently poured the kibble into the mini bowls, the only bit of sound coming from her was the little bit of sound of the kibble hitting the bowls. When she was done she just gave Adam a smile and returned to the back room and put down the back. Adam then snapped his fingers to get the babies attention and then pointed to the many filled bowls but right as the babies tried to run to their food Adam let out a loud whistle getting there attention.

"If none of you fight over food, I'll get my big digimon to give you all rides before nap time."

This made all the digimon smile big smiles as they all ran for their food. The Koromon and Tsunomon twins happily sharing their bowl with each other without argument. When all the digimon got busy eating Adam got up from his chair and put his coat back on and headed into the back room with a smile.

"My human mama and daddy ran a human world animal sanctuary place. Before I came here they taught me how to take care of and train the different animals. It's not that much different then baby digimon."

Renae then smiled softly and Tobias.

"Would you happen to have a lake or a pond near by? We can catch all the adults some food and cook it."

Tobias sat down on one of the wooden chairs in the kitchen, there were two chairs in total. The Dynamon looked longingly at the chair, but then looked back at Renae. He didn't really like thinking about why there were two chairs, Tobias didn't like the memory in general.

He hummed in response when Renae mentioned that the two exactly knew where to go and who to be with, he had felt exactly the same about one particular person. But that person had abandoned him later on. The chair that stood there belonged to that person, Tobias still hoped that one day, that chair would be occupied as well.
It looked like the twins certainly had some issues once they hatched, which made Tobias glad that he had been hunting for all of these little babies once he had the chance. He couldn't bare the thought of the little ones in danger while they could have been safe here in the Daycare under his constant supervision.

"I see.." He repeated, leaning back in his seat. "Yer tamer has quite the mature mind setting. I like that."

Tobias got up when Renae went to fill the little bowls so the babies could eat, which reminded the Dynamon. He hadn't showed them the unborn yet. He'd get to that once Renae was done with feeding them. 
The little ones didn't seem to notice anything because of Adam's singing, who could blame them though? 

When Adam and Renae joined them Tobias couldn't help but smile. 
"Ye can't imagine how happy I am to have ye lot help me out here." He spoke, rubbing the back of his head.
"I see. Well, the more experience, the better." He added when Adam explained how he got to be so good with the little ones.

As Renae asked if there was a lake or pond nearby, Tobias shook his head. "Afraid not, miss. I always have to go out and hunt myself."

"Oh, and before I forget." He told both Adam and Renae, whilst walking towards another playpen. It was filled with fluffy pillows, and on top of those pillows, rested DigiEggs. Only two of them, though, since three had hatched today. The Punimon being one of them.
A heating lamp was hovering above the playpen to keep the eggs warm and cozy.
"These need a lil' more time to hatch." Tobias said, with a warm smile. "But the moment they do, please watch them. It's such a beautiful moment to see their eyes open and look at ye like yer their mama."
Tobias was really fond of the babies, it was kind of his weakness, too.
