CRESTS
Here on Exodus, we implement a nine-sided Crest system. It's very simple and straightforward. Upon approval, your character will be assigned a crest based on staff judgment; these are all positive, so please don't moan that 'your character is too evil to have a crest' -- this can be a redeeming feature, or an inner facet, or maybe something your character used to have, or perhaps it is a virtue you have not yet acquired. These crests will be one of the following:
- Courage
- Friendship
- Sincerity
- Reliability
- Love
- Hope
- Knowledge
- Light
- Kindness
However, by performing noteworthy, game-changing, heroic, or other redeemable actions, one can change the current active crest. The active crest does not change until a character performs this, creating a type of capture the objective mini-game for the entire site to constantly participate in. The characters that influenced the active crest change the most will be listed in the crest reward thread, and will receive additional rewards on-top of standard crest rewards.
What's the long and short of all this? Simple. Do stuff that impresses the staff in-context in the name of your crest and character, and you and other characters possessing that crest will be rewarded for it. Makes sense, right?
Crests play an important part in Digivolution with certain types of Digivices.
NB -- Solo Digimon can opt out of having a crest if they wish, for canonical accuracy, but can have one.
