It had taken them long enough, but the buildings, lights, and the mix of humans and digimon walking around were a clear indication that they had found Terabyte City.
The trip had been pretty uneventful, except for its very beginning. Detlev let Frostmon guide him towards the city for a good two minutes before realizing his companion had no idea which direction they were walking, or even what direction the city was in. The child took up the task of finding someone who could tell them where to go, then ensuring that they kept their course. It was a long trek, and he pretty much needed to hold on to Frostmon so the little guy didn't get himself lost again.
But man, was it worth it! He'd never gotten the chance to just wander around in a city before - even when he was with his sister, he had to follow her around, and she rarely went anywhere he was interested in. Now, he didn't have to ask permission to get a sliver of a chance of going where he wanted. A whole city was open to him to explore, and by gosh, he was not going to waste this opportunity. It was just past sundown, so the light that either shined from atop the many lampposts or outside of the many buildings illuminated the path in a variety of colors - like it was out of some kind of movie.
"Hee, {you look like you've never been in a city before!}" Frostmon chuckled. It wasn't hard to see why he made that assessment: Detlev was just walking from building to building, gazing inside each with a grin that only a child could have and eyes that could be mistaken for stars stolen from the sky. "{Got any idea what you want to go inside first,} ho?"
"{I've been in a city before!}" Detlev halfheartedly protested, currently distracted by why looked like an art shop. Or was it an art gallery? He couldn't tell - none of these signs were in German; all of them were either in English or some asian-looking language. At least Frostmon knew what was written on them.
As for where he wanted to go first...the answer came to him pretty quickly. Two low grumbling noises could be heard by the pair - the source being their stomachs. "{Now I know where I want to go!}" Detlev giggled, receiving a similar laugh from his partner.
"{You lead the way!}" the small snowman declared, "{I'll let you} hee-{know if we find someplace that makes food.}" And with that, the two continued on their marginally-more focused tour of the city.
