Hey, everyone.
If you were attentive enough to see the title of this thread, your assumptions are correct — I'm choosing to leave Exodus with the intent to never return.
It also means that any threads that I'm currently involved with will either dwindle in activity, or fade away altogether. But please, don't take this personally; to leave you guys hanging like this makes me bleed as much as it probably does for you to read this knowing these threads won't be completed the way they were originally intended to be.
However, I simply don't have any spirit left to continue with roleplaying. It's turned into a chore instead of something worth enjoying, and my presence in the community is rather obscure, if mostly nonexistent — and, to me, that's not the kind of message I want to be spreading to you guys as someone who chose to take up the Game Master position. Furthermore, that I've chosen to become a self-employed business owner means I simply won't have the time or the energy to commit to maintaining the operation of this website, and it will ultimately result in me leaving anyway. Either way it's looked at, this is simply the best course of action for me to take.
If any animosity is generated because of my decisions to leave, I won't hold that against you. On the surface, I can see how it can be construed as a selfish thing, to just up and leave some of you hanging like this, especially after I've collaborated with many of you on what kind of stories to create and where to best direct them. But frankly, I just don't feel like I belong here with you guys, and I'm sure it's shown on many occasions.
It's been a blast for as long as it's lasted, and I'm glad I met each and every one of you — without that, I would not have been able to make the decision I did tonight, because I truly feel blessed to have learned a lot of important lessons from my experiences here.
I'm just sorry I couldn't pull through to the bitter end. Way to live up to my handle of "Hero", right? haha
Who knows? Maybe I'll see you guys around the block somewhere.
Until then, adios for good.
