you wake up, your wounds healed and your head heavy. you aren't quite sure where you are, though might have an idea based on recent events. something is different here, an ethereal force weighs on your shoulders, and in the far distance a faint choir could be heard, singing songs in forgotten words. looking around you, you realize there is only one way you can go --- forward up a massive staircase formed from the very clouds it rested upon.

Hyde groaned as he slowly came to. What had happened? Where was he? The last thing he remembered he was on the Deck. preparing for the day. Then he heard some shouting outside, the wall next to him burst and then...nothing. Hyde's eye widened at the realization. Something was attacking the Deck! Then the other realization hit him. He had gotten taken out right as the fighting began! He let out a groan, moving to facepalm in disgust.

Only for his hand to not come up. He looked down to find that his right arm, the Dealer Arm, was completely gone. "WHAT THE HELL!?" he yelled out, looking around to see what happened. "Boss? Are you ok?" came a voice that made Hyde freeze. He looked over to see his partner, Sable, nearby. He remembered now. She was in the room when whatever it was hit them. "Sable! Are you alright!?" he yelled out. She looked fine, but he had to be sure. The Pawn Chessmon looked around before nodding. "I...I think so. Where are we?" she then saw Hyde's lack of arm, "Where's your arm?"

Hyde let out a sigh of relief. She was fine. At least, he thought she was. "No idea, on both counts. Whatever brought us here apparently didn't want me punching them with a robo fist." he looked around, "Though this doesn't really seem like the place where one would expect to get violent." able couldn't help but nod in agreement as her tamer got to his feet. "So, what do we do now boss?" Hyde looked towards the stairs before them. "We've only got one option. Up." He glanced over at Sable. "You ready?"

The little digimon nodded, and together, they began to ascend the stairway.
