PATCH 2.0.0 DISCUSSION

As we expected with this patch - there have been some concerns/complaints about the new systems in place. This is something that was expected; and the staff team would like you, as members, to publicly address these concerns in this thread so that they may be either answered or addressed. New ideas that we haven't come up with are more than welcome, as well.

As for the statistic system - we have tested it, though it would be impossible to test every possibility of every sort of battle that could happen and still launch the patch in a comfortable time period. For that reason - we also encourage you to go out and test everything, as for right now, stuff will likely be needed to be tweaked for balance.

Right now, issues that have been addressed and we are working on are:

- Adding in DNA champion to the d-3 again
- D-3 changes (allowing a crest/tag as an alternative route to the golden egg with its own pros/cons)
- AP ratio tweaks
- Releasing/reworking dungeons

First off, thank you to everyone whose stuck it out with us at Exodus. We wouldn't be here today without our memberbase, and I am as excited as you all for all these changes. I do want to address however some of my own opinions relating to the patch.

First, I apologize; but for those waiting eagerly for their newly statted profiles to be reapproved, be patient. Its a new system, and people are expected to make mistakes here and there, not to mention the sheer number of profiles we will have to go through. We are human too, plus have our own profiles that need to be reworked, but we are trying to find a happy medium of staff work and this. We WILL get to your profiles, it just may take a day longer than normal. You are free to rp in your current threads until then.

Second, for those who may perhaps be unsure about the new torment system; I want to express my personal opinion on them. First, it is NOT meant to be a punishment. Torments are designed to be rather something that your character can work on throughout your time RPing them, potentially helping you develop them in ways you would have never expected them. We are completely capable of giving you torments that may not initially relate to your character, but perhaps you will find it to be something that is actually meaningful? For the most part, the only torments that have an impact on gameplay are your initial torments, and this is not applied to everyone. They are otherwise nothing but a tool to help foster your characters emotional growth, giving you some valuable ammo as a roleplayer!

I hope for everyone to try all of these new features and integrate them with their characters, just as I hope to do the same with mine!

You should really consider keeping stats in a separate sheet from the main profile.

By the looks of it, you're gonna end up changing and rectifying them; people aren't gonna be happy to need everything pulled and reworked everytime stats change.
