PERSONALITY An odd woman, and an enigmatic mystery to most. Her words are soft-spoken and outwardly formal- sometimes dated, even- but mischievous and occasionally vaguely unnerving. It can be difficult to tell what her intentions are, as many of her inner thoughts and emotions are kept hidden behind an unmoved facade. Claire lives to chase life's thrills, and will take any excuse to make her day an adventure. She regularly gambles with danger just to entertain herself, and takes no issue with putting lives at risk, be it her own or the lives of others. She is confident in her own abilities and decisions enough to do so, doing what pleases her first and foremost. Despite her self-assured nature, however, Claire knows when she's beat. Possessing a few good years of Digital World experience under her belt has given her a good idea about how Digimon work, and who she can or cannot defeat, in battle or otherwise. However, rather than taking a pessimistic view on failure as some do, she recognizes it as an opportunity to learn, and contemplate about how the situation can be realistically improved. It is not an exaggeration to say that she is self-centered, and could even be described as selfish. Her moral compass is rather skewed in that she thinks little of the well-being of most people, hardly giving a second thought to those unimportant to her. Having a mischievous and sometimes cruel sense of humor, she enjoys toying with others as much as possible with misleading or perhaps vaguely threatening words. Mostly she does it for her own amusement to get a kick out of other tamers' reactions, but the results aren't always harmless, and the threats not always empty. Perhaps she is forgetting herself somewhat- she turns her back on the world she came from more and more often, in favor of playing who she thinks she is in the Digital World. Becoming too caught up in her own digital journey has changed her from the woman she used to be, and perhaps not for the better.
APPEARANCE Just a quick look will tell you that Claire is stunningly beautiful, almost like the angels of fables. Somewhat above average height and graceful, she moves with the confidence of an adult woman- this can often be quicker than some expect. The woman possesses exceptional athletic ability which stems from her history of athletic training in her childhood and constant activity in the Digital World. With porcelain skin and fair features, she appears doll-like. Aside from two strands she lets hang down either side of her face, Claire often ties her hair in a bowed ponytail, keeping it from obscuring her vision. Her voice is typically soft and low, rarely raised. Further inspection however, is more telling about her life.While fully dressed her physical flaws seem limited, underneath she bares a number of marks- everything from injuries such as minor cuts, to the more common large, deep bruises from her Digital World activities. There are also much older and larger scars on her body, faded with time. As well, her refined features are the base for a light amount of makeup, and hiding underneath her piercing blue eyes are dark circles that only ever seem to intensify. While normal clothes are worn outside, in the Digital World that she so frequents Claire has rather unusual attire- a long, elaborate coat and hat both made from tough material. Knee-high heeled boots and similarly long gloves, plus a scarf or cravat of choice for the day are from her own personal wardrobe. BIOGRAPHY Though Claire was originally born in Berlin, Germany, her family moved to London very shortly after her birth. She was an only child, born to a pair of high achievers. Her father, in particular, was a successful entrepreneur, a multilingual pro in the business world. It was because of him that they moved, as he was able to sell his business and was starting a new venture in London. Her mother had a similar background, and had always worked in intense corporate settings in the area of marketing. From the beginning, Claire was always pushed to be the best she could be. She went to the best daycares, private school, and was expected to do well in the various activities she was signed up for- very little of which were her choice. Criticism from both parents always awaited her- despite having perhaps good intentions to breed talent in their daughter, Claire's psyche suffered for it. With the pressures of high school and transitioning into adulthood, Claire became exhausted. Though admired by her peers and liked by teachers- even becoming student council president in her final year of secondary school- her parents' expectations of her were only raised, with no signs of letting up. Despite her accomplishments, an unhappiness and desire for release festered inside Claire. She got through her high school life and moved on to college. But, if she was honest with herself, the girl wanted nothing more than to rest. At the beginning of Claire's university years 5 years ago from June 2041, something very odd happened to her- she discovered a strange creature in her room... and it talked. This strange little animal, which she later learned was a Lopmon, would soon become her best friend. She named him Walter, for no particular reason other than she thought it suited the little fellow. It was Walter that helped her change her home situation. Through their little adventures in the Digital World, the rabbit eventually convinced Claire of her own inner strength and independence; she didn't have to impress others- particularly her parents- to be happy. So she mustered up the courage to leave home, feeling giddy and lightheaded about her newfound freedom. She went on to spend even more time in the Digital World. Outside of work, she spent more time there than in her own home. With her newfound independence and freedom to adventure the young woman became more skilled, more brave, more experienced, and more detached from her old life. Recently, an unfortunate encounter with a high-leveled Digimon left Walter's data obliterated. They'd been beat before, but this time was much worse- he was obliterated into little bits of data, turning back into a Digiegg. When Claire recovered him, she was devastated to find that, though Walter remembered her on a base level, he had no memory of their adventures together- perhaps it was a glitch? There was no explanation given. Five years of their friendship- gone. Though her heart was heavy with disappointment, the two had no choice but to start over- hopefully Walter would someday recover his memories, but if not, she would live with it. Duration of the summon and other summon states do not increase. ATTACKS ○ BALLISTIC FEATHERS SPC - fire Flexes her wings, causing feathers to fly out at a moderate ranged AOE and embed themselves into foe flesh, catching fire as they do so. DAMAGE: 15 COOLDOWN: 0 ○ RAGE ENCHANTMENT SPC - light Casts a spell with a motion of her hand, and selects a target up to Ultimate level. Energy is then sent at the foe, striking them for minor damage. The foe then becomes berserk, increasing all stats by +5 and causing friend and foe to become indistinguishable from each other- they will attack anything that moves. DAMAGE: 10 DURATION: 1 post COOLDOWN: 2 posts ○ CORVID CALL SPC - neutral Emits a sharp caw, creating a magical field around the battle. During the field's duration, OFF and SPC stats are swapped for all parties up to Ultimate level. DAMAGE: 0 DURATION: 2 posts COOLDOWN: 3 posts. ○ BLESSED FLAME SPC - light Creates a white sphere of energy that is fireball-like in appearance and can be directed at a single target. Magically enchanted, it inflicts the foe with the silenced status, disabling use of abilities for one post. Additionally, on this particular move, duration increases by one post for Vaccine enemies by way of magic, and ignores resistance to light- though both of these conditions only apply up to Champion level Digimon. DAMAGE: 17 DURATION: 1-2 posts, see above conditions. COOLDOWN: 2 posts ○ IRATAKA BLADE OFF - light Enchants her sword with light magic and strikes the foe in whatever fashion pleases her. This includes any status effects cleansers- for example, an ability that would normally remove a status effect would merely half it in effect, or duration if there is no numerical effect otherwise. ○ HEAT WAVE SPC - fire Birdramon's presence drastically increases the temperature in the area, boosting damaging fire abilities by +15, regardless of whether they are OFF or SPC. Due to the heat, Ice and Water type foes suffer a -15 debuff to their DEF. ATTACKS ○ METEOR WING SPC - fire Birdramon's special attack, in which she flaps her wings, creating a cluster of meteors that rain down on her foes. DAMAGE: 30 COOLDOWN: 1 post. ○ FIREWALL OFF - fire Intensifies the flames that engulf her, adding +20 points to her DEF. Anyone touching Birdramon during this time will be burned, though the burns will not inflict the burned status effect. DAMAGE: 20, if touched. DURATION: 1 post COOLDOWN: 2 posts ○ RAY OF LIGHT SPC - light Concentrates a beam of light at an ally ( target may be herself ), filling them with warmth and energy. Restores 60 points of health. DAMAGE: 0 COOLDOWN: 2 posts ○ RING OF FIRE SPC - fire Creates a circle of flames around a target area ( up to two foes of Ultimate level ) that instantly sprouts into a tower of flames, rooting the opponent where they are and preventing all movement in all directions but up into the sky. DAMAGE: 25 DURATION: 2 posts ( Damage is only done on initial impact ) COOLDOWN: 1 post after duration ○ SKY STAKE OFF - light Transforms her feathers into spears of light that shoot toward the foe, aiming to pierce their bodies. +15 OFF bonus to any airborne foes.
