Darric watched as Perce took the crate. He had to wonder again about the inhabitants. Maybe they should just make one to replace the one Perce destroyed.
"Maybe we should leave after helping him make one." Darric said.
"Why?" Krysta wrote.
"Because though this place looks abandoned. Having materials here means someone is planning on returning sometime." Darric responded.
Krysta frowned but had to admit he had a point. They had no idea who owned this place. Maybe making use of all the materials here was a bad idea.
Perce returned asking if they needed anything.
"Well, considering this place is not ours. We figured maybe replacing the scarecrow was a better idea than making a bunch." Darric said.
"We could always apologize. Ask forgiveness over permission." Krysta wrote earning a raised eyebrow. "And if this place is truly abandoned it won't matter."
Darric sighed. He had a hard time arguing with that. Either way they were making one. So they had to wet some straw to use as thread. He wondered if the barrel Krysta had been sitting on contained water. |

Perce nods. "I guess you're right but Krysta has a good point. Hrm." Perce thinks for a second with his hand on his chin. "I think we should just make the one. And I reconsidered your proposal about fighting. As long as you stay in your rookie form I'm in but we should make the scarecrow first." Perce says as he leads them out. "I saw a well down there if you want to wet the star."Perce says pointing down the hill to a well that is 130 feet away. Perce then picks up 4 stacks of hay and starts to walk towards the well.

"sounds well enough." Darric responded.
Krysta grabbed the box of cloth. They could do it all by the well. Better than going back and forth.
Darric grabbed another bale of hay. He followed along behind his tamer making sure she didn't trip. He gave her guiding nudges when ever he saw a divot.
They approached the well and set things down. Krysta went to the well and pushed the bucket in. Lowering to check for water. A faint splash was heard.
Darric began laying out the cloth. His claws tearing the cloth in places to make patches they could sew together. He kept glancing up at his tamer time to time.
Krysta grabbed the bucket and put it on the rim of the well. She then reached down and grabbed a bunch of straw placing it in the water soaking it up a little. |

Perce smiled watching them work then helped Krysta soak the straw. For the first time he got a close look at Krysta and realized how beautiful she was. He quickly stopped thinking like that and focused on his work. He had no time for such thoughts, it was up to him to defend places such as this. "So how long have you two been partnered up?" He asked quickly trying to change his train of thought. "After all you two seem to be very close. So I thought you might've been working together for a very long time." Perce says.

"A few months." Darric responded. "When your are constantly together you do become close. I guess you could say we were lucky that our personalities are compatible. Not all tamers and digimon get along this well right off the bat."
Krysta nodded in agreement. She remembered the first day they met like it was yesterday. She was lost in a big city filled with beasts and no idea what had happened. She had found a place full of small beasts and eggs. A daycare and she waited there hoping to figure out what was going on. She took a egg in her arms marveling and wonder if they could be compared to emu eggs. Then it hatched into a small bomb with a face. She was so surprised she was frozen. It spoke to her and that was it. She wrote back and they began to get to know one another.
Darric looked to his smiling tamer. Kind hearted right off the bat. Anyone else probably would have thrown him when he hatched. Being a bomb and all.
"Not to say we haven't had our trials. But over all we do pretty good." Darric said with a smirk.
"More like I try him." Krysta wrote and showed.
"Yes you can be very trying at times. But your only human." Darric said. |

Perce smiles and looks at them. "I see. You two are very lucky to have each other. I used to have a friend who I was just as close with. But those days are gone." Perce sighs as he looks back at the straw and continues his work. "Only human? So are you implying that humans are inferior to digimon? We all make mistakes both humans and digimon. If you aren't implying that then sorry I just get defensive when I think someone is calling another being inferior." Perce says before looking back at them with a grim face.

"It is a figure of speech meaning she makes mistakes like everyone else." Darric responded with a frown. "Us digimon make mistakes as well however their saying doesn't include us. I suppose one could say 'Your only a digimon.'"
Krysta cocked her head with a smile. Darric had been lightly offended but he was handling it well. He had never been one to lose his temper either way. However he would get flabbergasted.
"We are only mortal." Krysta wrote and suggested.
"I suppose that is much better than having a saying for each species." Darric said with a nod of approval.
"Thank you," Krysta wrote to Perce. "But Darric never means things in a bad way. He just sort of speaks his mind."
"How else will on know what I'm thinking." Darric commented.
"Don't hurt yourself." Krysta teased. Darric just raised an eyebrow. |

Perce chuckled. "I see. That is a good trait to have." Perce nods. "Hrm I'm getting bored of this. Darric do you want to spar now? I'm up for it and I'd like to see how strong you are." Perce smiles while looking at Darric. "Oh Krysta if Darric accepts please stand a good distance away. I'd hate to see you get hurt in the crossfire." Perce says looking at Krysta with a concerned face. "Up to you Darric. But I'm gonna warn you ahead of time. Do not let me pin you down. And if you see me go into a rage after getting hurt. Pin me down immediately." Perce says with a serious tone.

Darric looked to Krysta who just waved him off with a smile. She continued twisting the wet straw together hoping to make it strong enough to hold together the scarecrow. She would continue making the scarecrow while they sparred.
"Alright," Darric said moving off to put distance between them and Krysta.
He raised his eyebrow as Perce mentioned rage. So he was one of those people. Kind and soft but fierce in the face of danger.
"Right....I'll be sure to do that." Darric commented unamusedly. He Stretched out his claws a few times.
"So who will start hmm..." Darric smiled and though his cloth eyes couldn't sparkle the mischievous intention was there.
He would move in to counter attack with Bleeding Claw the moment Perce would make a move to attack. If he didn't attack off hand Darric would dance in then out trying to coerce him into attacking then using his Bleeding Claw.

Perce smiled and looked down before pulling out his sword. "I will start." Perce launched himself backwards and steadied himself before preparing his attack. He aimed right at Darric and charged his sword with energy before slashing and releasing a energy wave attack. "Energy Wave!" He shouts right as he let loose his attack. Then without a moments notice Perce launches himself at Darric and strikes at him with his sword. "Demi Sword!" Perce screams aiming right for Darric's chest. (If Darric dodges) Perce then starts slashing at Darric with all his strength giving him no time to counter. (If it hits) Perce then pins Darric down and unleashes a beam of energy from his eye. "Energy Beam!"

Darric having anticipated the first attack he dodged it. Then a flurry of strikes followed. He danced back on his heels evading the blows. It was speed against strength and so far they were evenly matched.
He had to break the stalemate. he jumped back and raised his hands revealing his eyes. They popped into place and stared at Perce. Slowly they moved seemingly becoming deeper as they threw Perce into a trance.
"You are in the middle of an empty field. Nothing is around you for miles. Birds flock overhead. You have already said your goodbyes to Krysta and Darric." Darric said hypnotizing him.
How long it would last would depend on him. However the moment the trance was entered Darric stepped forward and used his Undead Fang aiming to bite his arm.
Should he manage to break out almost immediately Darric would jump back yet again. Getting them no where.

Perce saw that Darric was using a hypnotic attack and braced himself. As soon as he was in he started working on how to get out of it. He quickly broke it then seeing Darric aiming a biting move at Perce. He let the bite hit him pretending to stay in a trance and as soon as he was bit he aimed his sword straight at Darric's body. (If it hits) Perce then pins him down with his sword and fires a Energy Blast right at Darric's skull. (If it misses) Perce attempts to slam into Darric with his body and sit on him allowing him to strike at Darric's head with his sword.

Darric was surprised as Perce countered. He lurched back trying to avoid it. His teeth had barely made a dent. And the sword made a hairline of a cut across one cheek.
This was again showing how even they were in power. He was off balance at the sudden change in direction. He reached out extending his claw to catch himself on Perce's armor.
He rolled away quickly right under Perces sword arm skipping a few steps as he got to give himself breathing room and prepare for the next attack. He bared his fangs to try and intimidate Perce. though he doubted it would work. He stood there waiting.
The fight was turning out to be interesting. Krysta half watched as she worked. She had to enjoy watching Darric fight. He was smart and tried taking advantage of openings. He was a force to be reckoned with most of the time.

Perce jumped back as he dodged the claw attack. He watched Darric closely and smiled before going into a full laugh. "Hm the way things are going this fight will last the entire day. But I will come out the victor." Perce grinned. "But I don't have all day so I think that I shall end this, NOW!" Perce yelled as he launched himself forward with extra speed by stabbing his sword into the ground and pulling himself forward as he jumped. He aimed himself at Darric and attempted to tackle him. While in midair he pulled out his second sword and readied himself. (If he hits) Perce pins Darric down and aims an Energy Blast at his face. (If he misses) Perce stabs his sword into the ground and spins around to face Darric. He then pulls his sword out of the ground and gets into a fighting position.

Darric had been prepared for the attack and he dodged off to the side. He didn't go far though. He came in close preventing Perce from swinging his sword in a full arc. He reached out to rake his claws across Perces chest plate.
He would mirror his movements staying to close for him to attack with his sword and biting at his helmet. He was not going to give him room to swing his blade. though should he try to pierce him by turning the sword back on himself Darric would be forced to duck and dance away giving him breathing room.
