SPIRIT WIELDERS
So you wanna be a Spirit Wielder?
Spirit Wielders are inspired by the main characters of Digimon Season 4 (Frontier). Spirit Wielders do not have a partnered Digimon, instead utilizing the energy of Spirits which they find in threads called Spirit Hunts to transform themselves into Digimon. This process is known as Spirit Digivolution.
The process itself is a fusion between the human and the Spirit Totem to create a Digimon form specific to that spirit. Because of this, Spirit Wielders do not have outright levels like Rookie, Champion, etc -- but instead have their own leveling system, which is equivalent:
- H-Spirit (Human Hybrid) = (Armor) Champion
- B-Spirit (Beast Hybrid) = (Armor) Ultimate
- F-Hybrid (Fusion Hybrid) = Mega
- T-Hybrid (Transcendent Hybrid) = Ultra
"Armor" levels are included in this list to show that you may receive a Spirit Totem at that level, but it will only be as strong as the level you can achieve. This can be explained as being amateurish and not proficient with that form just yet. Upon reaching their true levels, the form can then be made to be as strong as intended.
Spirit Wielders may only start with the D-Tector Digivice. Additionally, prior to using each stage in-play, characters must embark on "Spirit Hunts" (staff-monitored threads) to physically obtain the Spirit Totem for that form before using it. Additionally, when creating their application, instead of completing a "BASE FORM" module as a Tamer or Solo Digimon would have to, fill out details for their spirit, including its name.
Canon elemental spirits such as Fire, Light, Darkness, etc are entirely acceptable, along with a multitude of other elements that comprise of combinations of any two canon elements. This results in a whopping 55 Spirit elements to choose from, along with the possibility of other staff-approved concepts a member may create. However, all of your Spirit Hybrid forms must relate in some way to your chosen spirit -- think of it as a common theme running through all your Digivolutions, and no spirit element or form may be repeated twice.
Also, for the H-Spirit form, your Digimon must be passable as "humanoid". Typically this means bipedal, though not all bipedal digimon would count (for instance, Greymon would not). The same works in reverse for the B-Spirit form; these Digimon forms must appear "beastly". Because finding a Digimon of equivalent level to fit these criteria may sometimes be difficult, we often allow a degree of level fluidity with Hybrid forms -- allowing a Champion for a B-Hybrid form, or an Ultimate for an H-Hybrid form to allow it to fit both the theme and the beast/human criteria. If you're confused about this, please consult staff.
Finally: Spirit Wielders, due to not having an In-Training or Fresh form, will start with a 20 Post Bonus to give them a head-start.
