Devidramon shivered as its form was gradually devoured by frigid air, stiffening his wings, and causing the monster to slow its pace. “Sephtis, what’s wrong?” Like a father speaking to his son, Anasazi’s tone was soft and gentle as he spoke to Sephtis. “My wings are freezing up...it’s getting harder to fly.” Pained and tired, Devidramon’s words came in slow labored breaths. “Sephtis take us down.” With zero hesitation the demon dragon sought to locate an appropriate area to land, before he descended to the ground below. After the Devidramon was earthbound once again, he lowered his head. From the great beast Anasazi and Than returned to terra firma, his attention tied to the Devidramon’s wings. “It’s fine, Sephtis we can walk from here.” It wouldn’t take them too much longer to leave the north, so Anasazi was unconcerned with the walk.
“Ughhh, the cold does not sit well with me.” She grumbled, being an insect digimon Than preferred warmer climates. “Worry not, my dear we aren’t too far out of the northern territory.” Anasazi merely chuckled at her complaints before offering his condolences. In spite of how cantankerous she could be, Than wasn’t built for the cold. “Eh, at least it isn’t a pain for you to fly.” Sephtis grumbled, still in the form of a Devidramon, his usual child-like cadence was replaced by a gruff and heavy tone. “What did you say to me you little brat?” Halting mid hover, Than turned to face the devidramon, behind them. The elder of the twins was clearly enraged, and her piercing glare made that known. “From my perception, you are in no position to call anyone little.” Plumes of smoke escaped the flared nostrils of Sephtis as his temper rose. ”No matter how tall you are you are still just a brat. I should teach you some respect.” Before emotions could escalate any further Sephtis found himself in a lesser form. “You know, if you saved that energy instead of fighting each other, you wouldn’t be so cold.”
“Hey..” Sephtis cried in his normally childish voice after being returned to his base form. The impish digimon soon found himself staring at the lengthy form of his older twin. “You are siblings. Why don’t you try to cooperate with each other more? And I don’t mean when it comes to simply killing either.” With that the master of the twins turned his back and continued forward. “Besides, how close are we to leaving the steps, Than.” One crooked finger pressed to her lips, she contemplated her tamer’s question. Looking from side to side, she determined that would be free of the north soon enough.”A few more hills left to go master.” Anticipation was in her voice at their eventual return to warmer climates, a sentiment shared by her twin and Anasazi. “Once we are a far enough I will return you to your Devidramon form. “ Anasazi said with his head cocked slightly to side in order to bring his digimon into partial view. Sephtis only nodded at his master’s words.
“This should be far enough.” An hour or so later after walking they reached relatively warmer weather. Having decided that this would be an ideal place to return Sephtis to his dragonic glory, the tamer from Nairobi imbued the child digimon with a darkly colored beam of energy boosting his height, and returning him to the form of Devidramon. “How are your wings now, Sephtis” In an uncharacteristically voice Anaszi acquired about his digimon’s health. His only response was a mighty roar and a flap of his ragged black dragon wings. Instead of leaving right away Anasazi wanted to take one final look of his surroundings.
