Wandering Gypsy
Gwen was moving through the remnants of the town that they had recently laid waste to. Buildings were left burning, broken in piles of rubble. Data was left flowing around the area, loosely in the air. She was wearing her usual black form fitting dress that flowed looser past her waist. Her black boots clicked against the loose cobblestones beneath her feet, the remnants of what remained of a once complete road.
Taking the violin in her hand, she brought it up to rest beneath her chin. The other hand bringing the bow against the strings, she brought the bow across the strings slowly as she began playing a sad, eerie tune. As her eyes scanned the area around her, she hummed along with her tune. Her heart felt warm at the sight around her, knowing what had transpired moments before. Not only did she witness the destruction, she was a part of it. She had never felt more alive than she did at this moment.
"Anasazi, this destruction was wonderful," she said to herself in almost a song like tune. She felt the data around her, flowing through the air. The feeling of death, destruction, and it's calm that falls after. These were all truths of every world that would exist. She kept walking down the path until she came across what would the be center of town, the town square. The peaceful air carried a heavy sense of mourning. After a moment, she stopped playing her violin. Walking towards what remained of the fountain in the square, she sat her violin and the bow down on the ground.
The D-Tector in her bag began making a loud, erratic beeping sound as she drew nearer to the remains of the square. Reaching into her bag, she pulled out the D-Tector from her bag and held it within her hand, firmly grasping it. She began tinkering with the buttons, it would be a moment before the screen would begin displaying information for her. A small grin began to spread across her rose colored lips, cracking open slightly. "It's near," she declared to herself as she began turning around in a rush, looking all around her for any indication of where it would be hidden. The power she sought was near, and this made her heart pound. Holding out her D-Tector at arm's length, she glanced around, trying to narrow it down. The beeping from the device was irregular and varied on the direction she faced. She aimed it towards the remain of the fountain, and it began to give a more constant and steady pulse beep. Nodding to herself, she began walking towards it, and began pushing away the rubble until she came across what seemed to be a hidden pocket within the construct, meant to hide something of value. Unable to see too well in the hole, she reached in deep, pressing her body against the walls of the construct. She felt around in the dark until her fingers grazed against something strange, something warm. Something that felt like it did not belong. She grasped at it with her hand, grunting as she pressed her body against it's walls. Once she had a steady grasp of it, she began pulling it free from it's confines. Once free, she gazed upon what she held in her hands. This strange almost egg like item that bore on it's surface the Crest of Love. Not able to contain herself, she began laughing as she held it close to her body.
"I've found you," she sang to herself as she reached for her D-Tector and began getting it ready. "Now I can get stronger. Soon, we can change the world," she said as she used the device to scan the object with a bright blue light, turning it to data as it began to store it within the device for use later.
