La retour [Odette]

It had been a long time since Annemarie entered the digital world. She was but a child last time around, before she turned 18 and the real war started. Indeed, it might look like a simple inheritance to the commonfolk, but she had been fighting for the right to inherit her family's corporate empire since she was old enough to stand on her own two feet. Many years she spent in that endeavor, honing herself into the cutthroat businesswoman who could succeed the head of that empire and make it thrive, only to find it was all not really the battle itself but just a meager preparation. The real war began from then on, and the headstart she got for being the oldest was the only luxury she'd be awarded.



For a long time, she tried to plant the seeds of her trust fund, make it grow into a proper fortune - her own fortune - with less and less time to explore the digital world as she once did in her youth. She didn't know when she finally realized that digivice she now carried could easily end up being the proverbial key on a silver platter (more like golden and diamond encrusted for her). Thus, she came back... Odette apparently had been having a lot of fun in the Digital world, hell, she might even be stronger than her, data wise. It didn't matter. Any other of her siblings and she might feel insulted, but Odetta was the only one who's strength she'd actively encouraged...



"Il pleuvera bientôt...", she thought out loud, appropriately not bothering with english, looking up and gazing at the dark, gloomy and cloudy skies.



Yet none of that stopped the many digimon and tamers from going about their businesses. Annemarie smiled at passerby's and merchants alike, secretly wondering if there was anything worth her time, any place she should be lingering around more than a mere second. Her time was precious you see...

Odette would slowly walk from the airport as she just got back from her date with Hyde. She wondered on when she would lastly see her sister, her loving older sister. Her pink eye would look up at the clouds as she saw the darkened areas, signing of rain. ''Good thing I'm quite wet already...'' she spoke and chuckled at her own joke about her being a water spirit, with Chiwa. She was wearing her normal white dress as she ignored the stares of the people who knew she was one of the most famous models in france and she was known from her family. She wondered what her sister was doing as she hasn't seen her in a while.

Yawning softly she would then see a taxi stop by, looking at her. ''You shouldn't be walking, Ms. Odette. Get in.'' he spoke to her as he would get out of the taxi car and open the door for her. ''A-are you sure?'' she asked calmly and looked at him. She would take some steps forward as he nodded, her getting in. ''I would normally ask for an autograph, but I know how that bugs some people.'' he spoke nervously as he would get in the car himself, driving to her building. As soon as she would get out of the car, she'd pay the taxi guy, even with him rejecting it. She nodded and thanks and went up to the door to then go inside. 'She's here, Odette!~' Chiwa spoke happily and twirled around in her fairy-like chibi body. She felt somewhat happy as she would then go in the elevator and go up. As she would see the elevator door open, she'd see her sister.

Slowly Odette walked forward, hearing her sister talk about how it was about to rain. ''Indeed sister.'' She'd say in her usual calm and cold tone, walking then beside her to look out the large window that would let them see all of the city.

This was said to be the main hub of activity throughout the digital world, being visited by digimon and tamers alike, hailing from all corners, known or unknown. Indeed the amount of different people around greatly implied that to be true, and Annemarie had to wonder if she'd be seeing her little sister anytime soon. Given the amount of time she spent here and the importance of Terabyte city, she was bound to visit eventually, but then again even if she did it wouldn't be easy to run into her.

Alas, she didn't have to wait much. As she walked through the streets, Annemarie had a hunch she could smell a familiar perfume, and certainly enough, a matching voice didn't wait long to reveal itself. Gracefully pivoting on her foot, the silver haired heiress turned to meet her little sister in the eye, smiling with all the love and elegance in the world, "Bonjour, Odette~ How have you been, little sister?", she greeted sweetly, drawing her arms around her sister for a long hug, barely flinching at the sudden surprise of meeting her like this.

Even if her expression betrayed none of it, she was pretty surprised to run into her little sister so soon after just wondering where she was, but it was a pleasant surprise above all.

Odette would walk towards her sister a little, seeing that her sister saw her. Hello's were exchanged and as predictable, Annemarie welcomed her in embracing arms. She wondered on how she has been, calling her little sister as usual as well. Her facial expression was emotionless or in which case, calming when she was around her sister. It seemed the only time she wasn't like this, was around Hyde, but how would she tell her this? She took a simple breather as she then explained. ''Je voyageais et jouissant d'une nouvelle émotion , ma sœur .'' she spoke in her soothing French accent. She looked into her sisters eyes, blue and shining like she wore a lot of...well blue. She remembered that, that was the reason she got her that butterfly piece. ''What have you been up to, sister?'' she questioned back and then looked at the city. Even though she loved to travel, digimon worlds weren't interesting as the reality world was, maybe that's because she didn't belong here...

It was an odd thing to say, and something she'd never expect to see from anyone else that not Odette. While Annemarie strove to inherit her family's empire, her little sister was after something that althought might seem more palpable and achievable, she had no doubt would be just as difficult if not more so: To find herself. Such philosophical matters Annemarie herself had ceased burdening herself with after a certain point, realizing she'd much rather decide for herself who she wanted to be than waste time trying to discover it arbitrarily. In the end it might seem like Odette too was no different, she just went about it her own way. Crossing one arm under her chest and raising the other hand up to her cheek, she cocked her head and stared at Odette with a curious gaze: "Oh? Qu'est que tu as trouvée cette fois?"

It was odd, especially for someone who looked cold and emotionless like she did, or then again, perhaps it was exactly someone like that who would require such a quest.

"Business as usual, ma chérie~", she'd answer, accepting Odette's invitation to speak in english, even if she kept her usual French accent, which only, "It's been a long time since I've last been in this world. Much has changed it seems...", she'd comment, looking around with a faint smile before turning back to Odette, turning towards the street, nodding slightly and inviting her for a walk together.

Odette would look forward towards her dear older sister. She would keep a calming expression like some emotionless soldier. Her white snow hair would sway a tiny bit from the air conditioner within the building. Her eyes would look at her sisters as she came close, asking on what she has found. A little light appeared within her eyes as a small smile appeared. She watched her sister walk away and continued to talk as her about her business being the same. She wondered on how she would explain to her about the feelings and such, but she had to. She followed Annemarie and would continue as so, ''La chose que la plupart appellent emportements ou de l'amour.'' she'd speak soothingly and softly. ''I have never...felt as such before. I went on a date, two of them sister...'' she spoke with a lot of passion that could even be told by her emotionless facial expression.
