Training the Rookies [OPEN]

Hyde paced back and forth, waiting quietly in one of the training facilities in the set up in the Deck, in one of the middle levels. A large open space, exercise and training equipment moved to the side and lining the walls. They were going to need the space for what Hyde had planned.

The Wild Cards were coming along better than Hyde had hoped. He had managed to bring plenty of members into the fold, but Hyde wasn't going to be just satisfied with having high numbers. He wanted quality, as well as quantity. That was why he was here. He knew a couple of his members were on the lower end of the power spectrum, and Hyde wanted to bring them up a bit, give them some training to increase their strength. And so, here he was, waiting for the three members he had called to come down here. Drilling Jack, the digimon known as Drum, Rough Club, the Goblimon called Merlin, and Floral Diamond, the french spirit wielder.

Meanwhile, Sable was sitting on the sidelines, watching her tamer pacing back and forth. She took was curious to see just what the three raw recruits were capable of.

[Leyton Thomson]

Leyton approached the eye-patched individual, aka his supposed "leader." The white hair was more than dressed for the occasion, a tank top with his initials on the front, a sweatband on his forearm, black shorts, and black kick pads. "Hyde, we ned to talk." he had a steel chair at his side, he brought it from Triton, nowadays he was in a fighting mood, so he was always dressed for the occasion.

He walked towards the one eye, bad intentions in his eyes. "Come here boy." he kept the chair still at his side, ready for whatever would have happened. "Let me talk to ya for a sec. It'll be fast."

Hyde hadn't expected to see Leyton come down to the training area. Granted, he wasn't going to kick him out, but it was just unexpected. So was the guy calling him 'boy'. Hyde quirked an eyebrow. He did know Hyde was older than him, right? He glanced at the chair the man was holding, then into his eyes, seeing something the one eyed man did not like. Still, he was going to wait to see what he did. He knew of Leyton's strength, he had seen him transform in MadLeomon, but at least Hyde had the Dealer Arm if anything came up. But right now, play it cool. "What did you need Ace? Hyde spoke up, watching him cautiously.

"You don't have to worry," Leyton assured, he had something in store for Hyde, "Though I wonder, how would you like to lose your other arm?" he asked venom in his voice.

"If your smart, you'll keep your little arm at the side before I tear it off again, I came here to see the rookies. Maybe give them an example of what an elite warrior can do... on you." Leyton knew all about the "dealers" little fake arm, but if he got too full of himself the self-appointed genius would beaten into a pulp by the whitehaired red neck. Hyde didn't want none, and he had every right to look scared because he don't really want none.

Hyde expected this, after seeing Leyton's expression, but still, seeing him throw around threats for no reason was a little surprising. "What the hell brought this on?" Hyde asked, keeping his voice level. He wasn't going to rise to the bait, not unless he attacked first. "Besides, watching us fight isn't going to help them is it? Listen, I'm here to help some of our weaker members get stronger. That's it. You want to help with that, fine. But whatever problems you're having right now, don't drag the rest of us into it."

He turned to walk back over to Sable, of course keeping on guard in case the Ace decided to pull a sneak attack from behind. Seriously, what was this guy's problem?

Sky above me. Earth below me. Fire within me. "Um..." A new voice broke through the slowly swelling tension in the training room, and if the ones already there turned towards the voice they would see Drum standing there, shuffling his feet and looking nervously between Hyde and Leyton. "Is this a bad time?" His ears had caught most of their conversation and it seemed like blows were about to be throw around between each other. Well, at least Hyde seemed the most level-headed of the bunch, as he should be considering he was the Leader of this organization. The Mini-Dragon looked at Leyton and at the chair he had on his person for some reason before saying. "I can come back later if you want, Hyde?" Drum asked but stayed put to get the input of his Leader, though he kept a wary eye on the white-haired fellow in their midst. He still remembers the volatile reaction that he had when he was within his right to tell the man off for whining his heart out, and today it seemed that they would have another repeat performance of that day.

Yawning softly she would be resting within the base. She loved her room as it was her room to get away from Faust sometimes. The last time she has seen him...it was awkward. Her face blushed as her eyes opened a little. Her red orbs would shine from the winds blowing into her room, from the balcony. She then thought of the battle...her heart dropping while doing so. Her eyes stared outside, but smiled small. 'I can't think negative now...' she thought softly. She would roll over and off to get out of bed. Her body turned so her feet would hit the ground, her hands on the ends of the bed, lifting herself up. ''Here we -..'' she was about to say when she then noticed that she wasn't wearing anything. 'Crap...' she thought as she turned around and went through the closet. ''Let's see...'' she spoke to herself again as she got dressed and left.

She wanted to go to the deck to see the training area. She knew that hyde was here so hopefully he was there now. She would put out her arms as if she pretended to be an air plane and ran down. ''Mmmmmmmm..~'' she would make noises as her mind went completely childish. Karisa's pigtails of white would flow behind her as she would go towards the deck, but then stopped. 'Huh?' she thought as she saw Layton there, Hyde and that one digimon...umm Drum. 'What's happening?' she thought sadly as she could see her friend Hyde looking somewhat frustrated or angry and Layton, her onii... Her eyes opened a little more as she had a sudden shock to her heart. ''Onniiii!~'' she spoke and ran towards him to tackle hug him. Even though they were really friends and not blood related, she wanted to tackle him for some reason. She oddly felt super close to him for some reason...as if it was sudden fate.

"It's simple Hyde, I know you have whatever little defunct 'upgrade' you put on your arm. I also know that I can tear off that upgrade and shove it down your throat. I'm gonna give you two options: Bow down to me, and I leave here with a smile on my face OR be your usual lame duck self and we fight then you get embarrassed."

Why the sudden hostility? Why the threats? Because if this guy was to be HIS leader, he better be worth more than getting his butt kicked and getting blown to smithereens. "And just so you know if you even THINK about getting snarky, you're as good as armless."

He was about to address drum but today must have been Hyde's lucky day, because his saving grace came just in the nick of time. Leyton was tackled by imou-chan... Oh why did his fun have to be interrupted by Kari? Her adorable nature would without a doubt distract him from kicking Hyde's ass up and down the beach and making him eat his own eye patch. What a sweet sight it would be ah what a sight. Could he be that violent infront of Kari? Why not.

He stood up and dusted himself off, before pating Imou's head. "Execute" he transformed into Madleomon and without a second thought he launched his strongest attack at Hyde. "Lion's roar" he fired the lion head projection at the leader, smirk on his face Hyde had no defense there was no one strong enough to stop it well other than Naku, Hyde is pretty much dead, no worries, Ferghus could probably take over the wild cards or he would if Leyton wanted to waste his breath on a pathetic worm like Hyde. "The attack would diminish before hitting the wanna be genius. 

"I'm just joking with you professor pompous, train your rookies." he would digress back into Leyton, "And make it interesting, or i'll get bored and have to" he chopped the air, "take your arm, or your eye. Your pick."

Hyde glanced back at Leyton as he spoke, his eye narrowing. "Is this seriously what this is about! A fucking ego boost? Listen Leyton, I have better things to do then stroke your fragile ego, like running this damn company." Hyde gave a small sigh of annoyance. Just what the hell was up with this guy? He glanced over when Drum entered the room, followed shortly after by Karisa who then proceeded to hug Leyton. "It's ok," he replied to Drum, "Something just crawled up Leyton's ass to-" He was cut off when all of a sudden Leyton transformed into Madleomon and attacked him! That crazy bastard actually did it. As the mad spirit wielder's attack launched towards him, Hyde thrust the Dealer Arm out, in an attempt to block. The arm was huanglong ore. It should withstand the attack.

Or, it would have if the attack actually reached him, instead burning out before it hit him. On one hand. Hyde was a little disappointed. On the other hand, he was now perfectly sure that Leyton was absolutely fucking insane! The guy even changed back and said he was just joking. Yah. That was a laugh.

It's because Karisa's around. Funny how he won't pull this shit when there's someone who can kick his ass around.

Hyde growled before dusting himself off, glancing back at Sable who had sprung to her feet and was getting ready to attack Leyton. With a gesture, Hyde silently told the little Pawn Chessmon that it was alright. He didn't doubt Leyton would take any opportunity to eat his partner. He then glanced over at Drum. "Alright, since the others don't seem to be turning up anytime soon, we'll at least start with you." He held his hands up, his dealer arm making the universal gesture of 'bring it on'. "Cme at me with everything you've got."

Sky above me. Earth below me. Fire within me. Drum couldn't help it, he let out a big guffaw when Hyde completely roasted Leyton in just a few choice of words. "Oh man, that was hilarious; still true though!" Wiping away a small tear at the corner of his eyes, the Drumdramon completely tuned Leyton's presence but made sure to at least nod in acknowledgement at Karisa; no need to ignore her just because she was glomping Leyton... for one reason or another that he wasn't aware of at this point in time. Shaking his head the Mini Dragon looked towards Hyde and couldn't contain the excited grin slowly stretching across his muzzle. "Heh heh. Don't take me lightly just because I'm a Rookie Level Digimon, Hyde!" Wasting no more time the Drumdramon dashed towards Hyde while the tail-drill at the end of his tail and the one on his wrist began whirring and spinning. Once he got close the Rookie would motion with the drill on his wrist like he was planning on using it but he would quickly feint left and twist around, his tail coming up quick aimed to tear and stab Hyde as a surprise attack. OOC: Piercing Drill used; 2 post cooldown. [Drumdramon] [Level: Rookie] [Attribute: Vaccine] [Passives] [○ Reckless Charge] - Excitement coursing through his veins, Drum's attacks have a 10% oomph. [Attacks] [○ Piercing Drill] - Stabs his opponent with the drill-end of his tail or his hand while spinning it, causing 10% damage over time for two turns. (Cooldown: 2 posts) [○ Moete Kita Zo] - A fiery aura surrounds Drum's body, invigorating him with new energy. Drops all active cooldowns by 1 and gives him a tiny 5% oomph of strength. (Cooldown: 2 posts) [○ Pyro Sphere] - Taking a deep breath while the tubes of his body began to spew smoke, Drum shoots a large fireball at the target to damage them, said damage would double if the target is currently experiencing a DoT. Life has its beauty... Life has its happiness... But nothing comes without sacrifice... Karisa Karisa tackled Layton as she was waiting for him to say something now. She thought everything was all okay, that nothing had to happen. What was about to come to her own mental state, she was not prepared for. She was patted on the head as Layton got up. The moment that he was about to turn into his digimon, her eyes went wide. Her mind went everything, thinking on what would happen if nothing had been stopped. What would happen to Hyde? She knew he had a dream to complete, his revenge for his digimon that died by some other tamers digimon eating it. Her eyes darkened and cried out, ''Naaakuu!'' as she feared. Her mind went split as if her personality changed due to the thoughts of Layton killing her dear friend and of Hydes dream vanishing. She didn't know that all he was going to do was a simple threat...no, she thought he was going to kill him. The tree leafs would move as if someone was in there the whole time, but flinging towards them was Naku's Gelbdiaatzmon form. As soon as he would land, Laytons digi form was out. Quickly Naku took off his mask and stopped time(stunning) within 30x30m, stunning everyone within the force. Slowly slithering with his tentacles, he would go by Layton. ''Tir wux bevi xurwk sia itov ulnot?'' he spoke darkly. She couldn't really do anything, she was too shocked at the fact that layton was going to attack Hyde and her heart was rapidly beating. After Naku was in front of Layton, he would lift his hand up to create a vortex. The earth started to rumble as something big was coming out of there...Naku was about 20 feet tall, therefore a 20 feet wolf roamed through the vortex to then open its mouth. As it opened its mouth, the wolf would close it as soon as Laytons head was between its teeth to then decapitate and throw the body aside. If Layton did somehow dodge the stun of the radius, Naku would hide within shadows, using his shadow play instead, ignoring the solo digimon and Hyde. (I was given permission by: Layton, truly.) Infomation ○ Zoological-Collision - He sends a random beast no bigger than himself forward from the void to attack the enemy. (Can be killed with one attack from mega+, 2 ultimate attacks and 3 champion attacks) Duration 2 posts, 4 post CD. ○ Silence - Taking off his mask to unleash his power, he stops time (with 30x30m radius) (stuns everyone) of those that get hit by an invisible force. (1 posts, 3 post CD) Mega and higher resist it fully, but they do get normal ultimate damage smacked upon those that are hit. Nicholas Hyde
