Needless to say, Oceanis was not happy to be back here. He could remember the last time he was here clearly. Swimming through the depths, before that terrible darkness gripped him, and then...nothing. Next thing he knew, he was being reborn, and was told he had been possessed, turned into a bloodthristy little monster tried to kill others and abused Hamelin. And now that same monster was in the poor boy. He didn't know if Gepetto would keep his word, regarding freeing Hamelin, but Oceanis was desperate. But why did he want to be here anyway?
As he was lost in thought, suddenly something reached up and grabbed a hold of him, catching the seadramon by surprise. As he tried to rush to the surface, dragging whatever it was behind him, his attacker slammed into him, and before he broke the surface all he saw was white and a large, toothy mouth.
Standing near the shore, knee deep in the water, Gepetto watched the water burst skyward, before revealing Oceanis grappling with a Gesomon. Gepetto smiled. Trust there to be one there. The perfect distraction for Oceanis.
"You two play nice now," he chuckled, more to himself as he closed his eyes, feeling the water lap against his legs. He couldn't remember his life before he had possessed Oceanis, being a part of this dark, wet blackness. But, if his plans were too succeed, he would need to get in touch with his roots. He remembered Giygas, that glitching furball who had somehow split his consciousness into two seperate forms. He had claimed it was dangerous, splitting ones digicore like that. However, one thing that mangy cat didn't grasp, was that Gepetto didn't have a digicore.
Despite being trapped inside this weak little form, he could feel his true self inside of him. That parasitic darkness, coursing through his body, strengthened by the darkness of the Dark Area. And feeling the water which he had come from, something was starting to stir inside him. Gepetto smiled.
Meanwhile, Oceanis struggled fiercely against the Gesomon, feeling its many tentacles bashing against him, striking him over and over as he tried to take a chunk out of him.
"Water Breath!" The sheer force of the water tore the Gesomon off of him, rocketing him back and slamming him against the shore. The resulting waves almost knocked Gepetto off of his feet, earning an annoyed growl from the possessed man. Couldn't they be a bit more careful? He was busy! He closed his eyes, trying to focus on the water around him.
The Gesomon however was not going to take that lying down. The mollusk digimon roared in fury.
"Deadly Shade!" A blast of black ink shot towards the seadramon. However, Oceanis was more than ready.
"Chillblains!" Blasting the water with freezing cold air, a wall of ice formed just as the ink slammed into it, shattering into shards, but ultimately stopping the attack.
"Ice Arrow!" With a roar, Oceanis fired a blast of ice straight at the Gesomon, forcing it to dive out of the way. One of the arrows grazed its tentacles, covering it in ice as it crashed into the ground. Oceanis brought his head back, ready to launch another assault when something gave him pause.
The Gesomon had landed right next to Gepetto, and the possessed boy wasn't moving! Oceanis dare not attack, lest he accidently hit him. Unfortunately for him, Gesomon seemed to catch this, its toothy mouth twisting into a smile. Gepetto would be surprised when he was suddenly grabbed in a tentacle, and before he could even shout was launched into the air.
"HAMELIN!" Oceanis yelled out, watching his tamer fly through the air and land in the water with a splash. He moved to try and intercept him, but the Gesomon took the distraction as an opportunity to attack, slamming into the Seadramon
"Coral Crush!"Gepetto found himself sinking into the dark water. Dammit! He was getting there before that damn oversized squid interrupted! He could simply swim out and try again, or wait for this pitiful body to drown and jump into another. No, that took too long! He needed to complete this now! He could feel it! It would work!
To return home...to where I belong...to become what I truly am. I will not...be stuck in this damn shell! He reached out, trying to grasp a hold of the wet darkness that was slowly engulfing him.
Then, it happened.
It was subtle at first. Small wisps of blackness, before large, inky strands of darkness seemed to bleed off of him, reaching out into the water before fading and combining with it. He could feel it, himself reaching out, extending outside of this pitiful body. A twisted smile spread across Gepetto's face and he began to laugh, the sound nullified by the water as elation overtook the parasitic virus. Sure, his consciousness was still anchored in this body, but he had expected that. What was happening right now was more than he could dream of.
They say that water is the source of life...
Well then, I shall become the water...
And all life...
...Shall become ME.As his laughter died down, he slowly glanced over, seeing Oceanis grappling with the Gesomon, trying to break free and get to him. Well, he had done a good job so far, keeping it distracted. Guess Gepetto could give a helping hand. He reached into his pocket, pulling out three cards. The water wasn't damaging them as he swiped them through his digivice, his vision dimming.
As Oceanis struggled against the laughing Gesomon, something changed. Before either of them could blink, suddenly golden armour was covering the seadramon's body, halting Gesomon's attacks. Then, the mollusk digimon was torn off by the seadramon suddenly grew five times his size. It didn't take a genius for Oceanis to figure out what had happened, and he was going to take advantage of this. Using his now massive size and strong armour, he rammed headlong into the Gesomon, launching him from the water and into the air. As the mollusk flew, dark flames formed in Oceanis' mouth.
"Tide of Despair!"A stream of purple flame erupted from his mouth, completely engulfing the offending digimon and roasting him into data. As the flames died down, there was nothing left of his opponent. He only had a second to admire his handiwork before he suddenly had to dive back down, rushing to save Hamelin before he drowned.

Gepetto would slowly awaken to find himself laying on the shore, Oceanis, now back in his Snow Agumon form, pumping on his chest. The possessed human coughed up water as he slowly, and painfully sat up.
"I'm guessing since you're here, you destroyed that squid?" Oceanis nodded,
"Yeah..." he was not about to thank him for the boost with the cards. He was the reason why they were in this mess to begin with.
"What the blue hell were you doing? Why were we even here?" Gepetto smiled as he painfully climbed to his feet.
"That's my little secret. Besides, you should be more concerned about getting your reward. We have one last stop before you get your tamer back." Gepetto held up the digivice, the tiny machine glowing as Oceanis digivolved into Airdramon.
"Just where are we going now?" he growled as his possessed tamer climbed onto his back.
Gepetto smiled.
"Oh, just seeing some old friends. Now fly!"
