Days had passed since the Giygas encounter, the tournament, and the Jupitermon meeting yet Yana was still lost. Deep down she still refused to accept her anger, and even more important than that, the need for the war Jupitermon called for. She knew war was coming whether she accepted it or not, and she knew she'd have to fight in it, which undoubtedbly only made it worse. "Nana-chan... Don't worry about the war so much, it hasn't even started yet! You'll think yourself to exhaustion...", Ari would admonish, her partner's emotions clear as day even through her dark and cloudy expression. Yana was a worrywart, so the Digital World like this was far from the ideal envoiroment for her... But she wouldn't leave while others needed her eiether. In the end she was stuck doing what she felt she had to, even if it went so fully against her nature. Thus, she had spent the bulk of this time thinking, pondering, meditation on what would happen next and how would she deal with it. And even now she had yet to figure anything out, not even gotten any closer to it. What she did get closer to was the island before her, as the slowly approached it. Yana brushed her hair behind her ears as the wind fluttered it around in waves, looking forward as the boat pulled her. Her destination: A paradisiac island offshore Coela coast. Not many humans came here according to the digimon, but the few who did truly called it a paradise. A perfect place for relaxation, and exactly the kind of place where Yana expected to find some measure of inner peace - the kind of feeling she hadn't experienced in days - but little did she know that this would end up being one hell of a vacation. Fortunately, the salty marine air and the soothing sound of crashing waves already seemed to be doing wonders for her mood, which nothing else had managed to do so successfully. Ari thus found herself staring at her tamer cheerfully, confident this might finally do the trick of putting her at ease. Eventually, the boat arrived at the docks and one by one all the passengers got off. Yana was indeed the only human, at least that she could see at first. But eventually she came across one or two more, though they were indeed a rare sight. More importantly, the sunshine beamed down on her face, making her sigh and fan herself, shielding her eyes and looking up: "Such a lovely weather...!", Yana commented in delight, quickly pulling off her shirt, leaving nothing but a white bikini and a floral shawl... An electrical current happened, a vortex opened as she would drift into the portal. She had to get out of her house as after she joined the Wild cards, she had been feeling strange. Her head felt unsure of herself as well as her heart. ''W-why do people look down at me?'' she asked herself softly as her eyes wanted to water, but couldn't. The portal closed as Naku, her small bear...would follow behind. Her white hair would wave back and forth with the winds current. Karisa's gaze would downward. She would still have her small smile, trying to hold onto her hatred...keeping it away. ''Do I look weak? Is that it?! Am I weak to everyone?'' she started to cry out, gritting her teeth.

She felt annoyed as if all her bottled emotions were going to spill out, like blood from someones sliced wound. Karisa continued to walk, Naku following. Where were they exactly? Some unknown place filled with nature, paradise appearance as some would call it. Her eyes of blue and red would dim more, her body would fall to her knees against the dirt.

Her head still looking down to where her hair would brush against the dirt. Her palms would crush the small particles within the dirt as she clenched her hands into fists. ''Naku...? Why am I weak? Is that why my father wanted to kill me? Killed his wife?...Because the bared a weak child?'' she whispered in despair was some small tears fell.

Naku stood there silently as if he was doing something himself. He seemed quiet more often than she was use to. ''NAKU?!'' she yelled at him, but not looking at him. ''...Naku...do you see...me as invisible too?...Or just someone that's weak to protect out of pity? To watch my misery all these years? Is that why you went silent during everything till when we escaped the insane asylum?'' she questioned softly, tearing up.

She thought of when she met Rei, how she sort of looked at her as a weakling. Which started her unknown thirst for power, opening up her hatred even more. After that, the people in that meeting, she felt ignored there as well as if she was invisible. She was shy...she couldn't speak. Sure her darker self snapped and told Layton to behave, but otherwise, she didn't know what to say.

Her heart beat started to drop, Naku's aura started to darken and her arms then dangled against her side. Karisa's light dimmed as if it was sailing into thee unknown abyss. Standing up slowly, she would then just stand there. Her mind went blank, Naku's aura exploded as he would disappear.



A shining of blackness he would turn come out of some hole, that had a green and black twirl within the abyss. A tall creature of about seventeen feet would tower over Karisa. Quickly queen aura surrounded him, spreading throughout the island, killing all the trees and plants. He wore a huge hood coat of yellow, tentacles came from under and no face could be seen. ''Si nishka sho'voth dout dartak vur vehafor rygat.'' he darkly spoke. Karisa would nod simply as she just slowly walked forward. Due to the plants dying and dead, she wouldn't hit any trees, sticks or anything as she headed towards the shore...

Once at the island, Yana wasted no time going straight for the beach, with Ari hopping merrily behind her, the sandy dirt soon gave way to actual thin, white sand, effortlessly giving way beneath her feet, massaging them even... Not even Coela Beach had sands this nice!! If anything, this made it next to impossible for her to not put her towel down at the first place she saw and lay face up, taking a moment to spread some sunscreen... It had been a good hour since Yana first arrived at the beach and soaked in it. Ari got a good deal of attention from other digimon, but she wasn't the least bit interested. She cuddled up to the resting Yana, knowing it was rare to find her this content in the past few days. What eventually awoke her was a rather unpleasant ruckus, digimon running away scurrying all around her. As both her and Ari stood up, what they found was a dreadful, menacing sight: A Marinedevimon was on the other side of the island, killing all around it and seemingly fighting something else: "Just when you were finally stating to relax...", Ari shook her head as Yana wasted no tim summoning her Naginata and her Digivice. With these, she had more than enough "Let's go, Ari!!", she called out to her friend, breaking off into a sprint, heading across the island... ~~ Naku's digivolution was indeed devastating and had every Digimon around him running away. All but one. Not long after he digivolved, something stirred in the waters, and if Kari looked that way she would a MarineDevimon emerging from the ocean, making his way ashore and bombarding the island with corrosive ink blobs. Soon, he came close enough to address the girl and her digimon: "To think someone strong would appear on this island!!", the Monstrous Marinedevimon bellowed menacingly, spitting a blob of corrosive Ink at Naku, following up with two more aimed not at him, but crowds of fleeing digimon in the distance. Some were slain, and some fo those were loaded instantly, "...I'm going to load you, and grow even stronger!! MUAHAHAHAHAH!!!"

Karisa and Naku would continue on their way towards the shore. She would zombie walk towards there, Naku would simply follow in a quiet sense. His green aura would soon disappear, like the nature that once was there. The area was filled with death as both Karisa and Naku went through towards their next battle.

Even though they didn't exactly think it would be an actual battle, soon one appeared within their sight. She still wasn't fully conscious of her sanity. Naku looked up with his non-sightful face as he stared at the digimon. He seemed threaten both him and Kari, but like the time with Faust, he would destroy those who came to harm.

The inner bear within his soul would chuckle in his mischievous way. He prepared to move, grabbing Karisa with one of his long tentacles. Soon after the digimon spat some ink towards him, making him move by grabbing a dead, yet stable tree trunk, dodging.

He would look at Karisa, the state she was in. It seemed worse than when she was locked in the white room as a child, alone, numb and going insane from the incident. 'I'll save you, like I always do...my child.' he thought as he lifted his hand up, summoning a wild shark. The shark would jump out of the water to bite the digimon. After that he glared towards the digimon as the Marindevimon would be distracted for a small time.

 He looked at Karisa for a small bit and realized that perhaps it was his fault. Slowly he would let her go from his tentacle grasp and summoned another vortex, but next to the Marine devimon. Soon a large tentacle would grab ahold of the marine devimon with a few tentacles quickly after, pulled him into the votex to bring him towards himself.

Finally as he took off his mask, time stopped for his enemies, although not allies (yet to be seen). ''Naku...'' she mumbled softly... ''Why do you protect me out of pity? When...I care for you so much?'' she questioned. ''It is because I've been not spending time with you because of Faust? Is it him?'' she wondered as she felt the ring on her finger.

Naku did hate Faust, on how he took her affection, love and their deep friendship. He felt alone after he was in the picture, but he still loved her. He would die if it meant for her to stay alive. He looked down at her as if his heart was melting from her question. He wasn't exactly sure on how to express the loveship of their friendship. Soon a glow would devour Naku, Karisa's eyes opening up a little to watch. ''N-naku, what's happening?'' she questioned all worried.

An explosion of light and darkness would tower into the air in a fast manner, but soon disappeared like any explosion. The time would've went to normal as he then was in the air. A winged angel that looked like he was half demon and fallen and the other, an angel of the gods and goddesses. Her eyes glistened with amazement as if her darkness disappeared.

''Forever will I be at your side...'' he spoke in a dark tone, looking down upon the MarinDevimon. ''I shall destroy you...for even thinking about devouring ones soul as you did to the other digimon...'' he spoke, looking at the digimon in an emotionless way. Finally he would just summon multiple bats that would swarm him, devouring its squid-like skin. If he got back up, he would summon chains do bind him to the dirt, where he belonged.

As MarineDevimon and the other colossal, tentacled Digimon traded blows, something else was happening a bit further away. Yana and Ari ran towards the battlefield, doing their best to help the Digimon along the way, but no matter how many they tried to heal or help ran away, their morale was still crushed by an overwhelming despair: "It's MarineDevimon again!!", a digimon yelled as they ran away from the battlefield "I though that other tamer killed him for good!" "He always comes back, and kills even more of us when he does!" The implication sent a shiver down her spine... It seemed like even if they defeated this opponent, for some reason he would still come back to attack them! Perhaps the other tamer failed to kill and purify him..? That had to be it, there was no other explanation...! Right...? Sensing Yana's inner trouble's as she shook her head, all Ari could do was frown sadly, "Nana-chan..." "Let's go, Ari!", she said, grabbing her digivice, and with that her partner narrowed her eyes towards the battle. Nodding, she knew what she had to do "Gatomon, Chou Shinka!!! ...Angewomon!" Ari was quickly enveloped in a warm, reassuring glow as she entered her perfect form, feathers fluttering around her as Angewomon emerged, "Go on ahead, Ari, I'll be there quickly!", Yana urged and her partner followed suit, beating her wings and blitzing forward where she saw an odd, dual colored angel digimon fighting the enemy. Yet the battle wasn't as one sided as Naku tried to make it. Though visibly hurt by the wave of bats, Marinedevimon was still perfectly capable of movement, albeit slower. He was clearly stronger than an average Ultimate level digimon. Out of nowhere, A tentacle he plunged into the ground would emerge from behind Heliosmon and wrap around him from behind, squeezing him as he spat a spray of corrosive ink at his face: "Destroy me you say?! GOOD JOKE!! The weak exist only to be loaded by the strong, just as you will be!!", he would taunt, squeezing tighter. But he wouldn't have a chance to act upon his threat, "Holy Arrow!!", as out of nowhere, a beaming arrow of light struck the tentacle from above, freeing Naku as Angewomon flew down beside him, "Are you alright...?", Ari would ask, ensuring her potential teammate wasn't too hurt. More importantly, what kind of Digimon was he anyways?! "Another joins the buffet! Good, this battle is making me hungry!!" "You talk too much. How about you pipe down, for once?", Ari taunted, raising her hand up and conjuring a radiant halo, that quickly blinded Marinedevimon. It didn't paralyze him fully like it might to others, but it visibly weakened him, and more importantly it healed Naku a little. He could probably use this chance to unleash a powerful attack...

Karisa looked at Naku,  but before he could say more, they were attacked. The devimon taunted back as he laughed at Naku destroying him. Right as the digimon was going to attack him, an Angemon attacked right back. Something about this digimon that seemed familiar. Could it be Ari? He smirked and crossed his arms against his chest while sitting and as she asked if he was alright. ''Awe, c'mon Ari...I almost begun to think you came here to see my sexy curves, not save and heal me.'' he spoke darkly in a soothing way as he looked at her.

To be fair, he was somehow attracted by her Angewoman, but why would he say such a thing? He could feel himself being healed. He could've said something and healed himself, but he wouldn't have gotten to tease her more. ''I could ask you if I was in heaven, but we're still in battle.~'' he spoke in a dark-teasing way. He would get up and glare at the digimon, lifting his palm up towards the digimon, looked at Karisa, back at Marindevimon and glared. 'I shall use your love and darkness for my power...' he thought as he would then have a huge beam light of white and black, come from his palm. He stopped it though, instead he summoned his bats again and it would tire and make the digimon fall down.

Naku didn't want to use his final move. Slowly he would turn and walk towards Karisa. ''You alright?'' he asked, kneeling down to hold her hand. ''Feels weird to be the one kneeling and holding your hand. You're usually the one holding me and given warmth. Karisa would smile at Naku's words as she would hug him close, blushing as he did have somewhat a body of a man.

The way the mysterious angel digimon answered was familiar, all too familiar. That bad boy mixture of teasing and mystery could only belong to one other digimon she knew, and it wasn't even that hard a guess. "Oh, please, you got nothing on me~", Ari teased in return, crossing her arms and pushing up her already impressive cleavage. Even by Angewomon standards, Ari's beauty was nothing to scoff at. Neither was Naku's but the guy had a big enough head as it were, he didn't need any more encouragement. As Marindevimon reeled from the attack and Ari's saint air, the specialized supporter did what she did best: Support. Her aura strengthened Naku against the foe's virus attacks, and as she boosted him, she lined up a single attack, breaking through Marindevimon's own ink blob, "Heaven's charm!", she called out, drawing a cross with both hands and shooting off a cross shaped beam of light. The attack specifically designed to beating out other attacks did its job, allowing Naku's bats to effortlessly break through. The Sea demon digimon cried out in pain at the combined attacks, before finally landing with a loud crash on the sandy shores. Yet he didn't disperse into Data... Ari watched him for a while, but no matter how long they waited, the guy didn't die! And before any of them could see what happened, the evil digimon sprung to his feet, instantly attacking Naku with a lightning fast tentacle swipe. This was impossible, he had suddenly grown ten times as fast as he was before! Yet Ari was still fast enough to protect her partner, suddenly jumping in the way of the seemingly unavoidable attack, shoving Naku away from it, "Look out!!" With a sharp cry, Ari was flung a good few meters backwards, landing right in front of Yana who was only just arriving, "ARI!!", she called out, "HANG IN THERE, ARI!!", she urged, hoising the angewomon up in her arms. She promptly degenerated back into her salamon form, confirming how aside from speed, the Marinedevimon had also gained a tremendous power after being beaten to the dirt. "N...nana...chan...?", Salamon whimpered as Naku would have been stuck facing Marinedevimon for this time They didn't kill him when they had the chance... And he'd grown stronger. And he'd keep growing stronger even if they killed him and allowed him to come back... She was too weak to take a life, and this had happened. Naku had no chance to kill him on his own so her weakness was about to cost both digimon their lives (Yana had yet to realize that was Naku). She hated herself for it, but at that moment, she felt only a single emotion: Regret for not being more resolute, regret for not allowing Ari to kill. Her partner's life was more than worth the lesser evil of taking an enemy's; a foe whose life would only serve to take others. But as she though this and cried over her the mix of conflicted feelings and this hopeless situation, something happened. A light of hope... Out of nowhere, the tag around in her neck started glowing; a lot more than last time when it was only the crest. Steeling her resolve and pulling out her digivice, Yana pointed it at her partner in a "here goes nothing", kind of way: "Salamon, Warp Shinka...!!", Immersed by an overwhelming light, Ari suddenly grew and transformed, once more into a human figure, but not Angewomon this time. Feathers and light fluttered around her as her reassuring light grew even stronger since when she was an angewomon, and this time, Ari spared a single look at her tamer, "Rest, Nana-chan... This will be over in a second." SPOILER: Click to show With a strong beat of her ten wings, Ophanimon blitzed to Naku's side, intercepting Marinedevimon with a new attack: "Sephiroth Crystal!" "ARRGH, WHA-?! Mega level??!", He commented incredulously, reeling from the high impact, gleaming crystal attack "Step back, Naku... Now its my turn.", Ari spoke reassuringly, conjuring her shield and lance, pointing the latter at her foe. As he shot a blob of poisonous ink, Ari effortlessly dodged it with her newfound speed, instantly shooting three beams of light in row from ehr lance. The enemy reeled from the hit, even stronger than an ultimate as he was he was no match for a real mega. Taking this moment, Ari turned to Yana, as if asking permission for something she knew had to be done... And her tamer understood. Yana nodded, a grave look in her eyes as for once she swallowed her reluctance and did what she knew had to be done. They couldn't camp this island every day of their lives to fight the Marindevimon... And every time he showed up more innocent digimon would get loaded. If he couldn't be purified... Then there was only one option, "Load him.", Yana finally gave the command Ari needed to hear. This wasn't something she had ever done nor would it be something she'd suddenly start doing on a regular basis... Yet Ari always knew there might come a time when she'd have no choice but to kill a digimon for good. Marinedevimon attacked soon after, but he wouldn't hit Ari... Not even close... Before his tentacles could hit her, she completely disappeared, striking him with her Lance in all three of his eyes, and finally his heart, literally disappearing before each hit. There was no way to survive being hit by these attacks, Ophanimon's finishing move. SPOILER: Click to show "Rest in peace... Inside me.", she whispered with a surprisingly loving, caring tone even as she loaded her foe's data, ensuring he would never be reborn. It was a lesser evil, but one she had to commit for the greater good. All Ari hoped for at that moment was that Yana would be able to forgive herself... Soaring down and landing onto the sand as Yana came over to her, Ari inspected Naku. She couldn't see Kari anywhere, perhaps he had come here alone...? Still, she knew Yana wouldn't be able to face her friend after what she'd just told her to do. Waving Naku goodbye, she headed off with Yana - degenerating back into Gatomon - hoping next time they met would be more pleasant... Karisa would watch from afar, within shadows. No one seemed to see her as she watched everything. Did Naku not want her to be seen by the enemy and Ari/Yana or just the enemy. It was all unknown as for the reasons of all this. She wanted to get out of his way so Naku didn't have anymore worries. She understood his intentions. Her heart beats as she would watch him fight, then with Ari and then something happened.

Ari blocked an attack from Naku, but when she saw the attack, why didn't she yell for Naku like Yana just did for Ari? Did Karisa know that he would be fine? Her smile was gone, her facial expresion wasn't happy at all. She continued to n ot move though, once again not wanting to get in the way. She loved Naku...she loved him greatly...

Her head turned to watch Yana with Ari as it formed into the lesser. Naku would fight off the digimon with his bats, chains, using his buff, taking it down. Afterwards he thought it was fine, but then the Devimon got up again. Ari would soon form into what seemed to be her mega. Before she knew it the mega Ari would kill the digimon and see Yana and Ari leave. Her head turned to look at Naku, who walked up to her and grabbed her hand. ''Even though I was given help...I would've died...and smiled.'' he spoke in his dark, but serious tone. ''B-but why?...'' she questioned with some tears. Naku would wipe her tears, ''The same reason you are giving me your tears...'' he would chuckle, formed back to his knight form and then they would head home...with her grasping on the love crest that glowed all along.
